Third time at this place and it's always a good time but boy! Do you get a workout throwing the balls at the pins. So this activity is corn hole, football, foosball, and bowling all rolled into one. You get a football to throw and try to knock all of your opponents pins down before they knock your pins down. It's not as easy as it looks or sounds but it's a lot of fun and as mentioned before, you get a really good workout. In fact, wear comfortable clothes because you will get after a game. Despite the based weather I made it to this fun event. Didn't know what Fowling was, except that it's a Yelp event, at the very least I would go see some faces. I love bowing, I love watching football but combing the 2 equals a night of wild fun and exhilaration. The game area is fenced off so the risk of throwing football and tipping over someone else's drink will not happen. The objective is still the same as bowling but instead of a10lb round ball, it's a rubber football. Striking a board of 10 pins have never been more difficult BUT when you actually hit one pin was pure joy. Fowling is fun and it definitely is exercise because the entire night my Fitbit was buzzing off the wall. It was major Active Zone Minutes. I had such a good time at the latest event here at Fowling Warehouse. I honestly didn't know what to expect being that it is a combination of using a footbal to knock down bowling pins. While, I wasn't too enthusiastic to do it, I surprised myself being able to actually knock pins down. If you decide to come here, it's a great place to bring anyone - family, friends, a date. While the main event is Fowling (knocking pins down with a football) there are other games you can play as well. Ended up coming for a family night to celebrate my brother in law going off to college and we had a blast! Came on a Friday night around 7pm and it was off in the cut, but still pretty easy to fine. The lanes are pretty spaced out and there are other games to play off to the side. Left off one star only because the kitchen at the warehouse is closed into further noticed so we had to leave a bit early to go grab food somewhere else. They do have restaurants that deliver to the warehouse and allow you to bring in light snacks to eat. Came here during the yelp elite event and had a blast. There were plenty of drink options at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and willing to recommend drinks and give us samples to try. I've never tried fowling and it was honestly hard to hit the pins with the football and exhausting as we ran around picking up the football. Nevertheless, we all had a good time. Why on a Wednesday night was the place so empty? There were 4 people working and maybe 15 customers. Meanwhile the bartender had the nerve to be catty. SMH. The cook was nice and even though the menu was being changed there were a few options on the menu at the ordering window. The beef nachos, fries and chicken tenders were good as was the fish taco it was almost exceptional if not for the sodium obnoxiously present. The portion sizes are more than ample. The drinks were strong. Fowling is a foreign concept to me but so was ax throwing. I'm not sure it's what I like while eating. The place is huge enough to not sit near it and has a few other games as well. There was also a free taco stand but it didn't seem sanitary enough for my liking. The staff is friendly and the bartenders move through people really quickly I don't remember how much it is per hour to play but it wasn't that expensive. This place was a ton of fun. The staff was very helpful and patient as we learned the instructions, and also kind to remind us of the rules. It is a great activity for large groups and such a unique way to have fun. Price was very reasonable but a good deal more expensive than bowling. It wasn't very clear how to incorporate food and drink into the experience, but it did appear both were offered. I think that may have made it the total package. It was my husbands birthday and I needed a last minute Wednesday night date night activity. We randomly came on to a babysitter and I really wanted to take him somewhere he could enjoy. So searching groupon I found this place. Say as he is limited sight he can't actually play football much anymore so I thought this would an interesting experience at the least. We got there shortly after opening so it was all to ourselves. Since it was just us to I paid for the drop in which was $15 pp. Unfortunately the kitchen wasn't open due to change in management but they will be doing a grand opening Jan 29. They said in the meantime we could bring food in. Not drinks though as the bar was open and yes I stopped their and yes it was full and great bartender. They explained the rules which helped since it was my first time. Apparently this is a franchise and the second one made. They have a whole tournament league and everything. This kinda game is best with more people but we had fun anyway. It took a lot out of us so one game and we had to go get food. But here's the need to knows: Huge parking lot, huge space, big bar. I went to Fowling Warehouse recently for my husband's birthday and it felt like such a hidden gem! Located only 3 minutes away from the Westside Provisions district, Fowling Warehouse puts a fun new spin on an old game and gives you: Football Bowling! Imagine a giant cornhole set up but with bowling pins and footballs instead. It's harder than it looks, and to me it already looked hard, but it was so much fun! You pay $15 for unlimited play for the day which is such a great deal. We spent about 2-3 hours there on a Saturday night and didn't have any issues with having to wait on a "lane" because they have so many! All of the employees were really nice and explained the concept super well to us. They even have a special prize for if you get a strike or manage to knock down just the center pin. We also grabbed food there, I got the Philly cheesesteak, and it was fairly priced and tasted delicious. I think the Philly was $13 but it was FULL and had such a good flavor. They were unfortunately out of a few different things on their already limited menu so that was a little disappointing, but I do think their kitchen just recently opened this year so they're probably still ironing things out. Very fun day activity. My friends and I went here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't packed at all so we got so much space to play. This is such a cool concept, they have cone hole on bowling pins and you use footballs to knock down the pins. It's such an arm workout. If you're going for the games, it's a cool spot. When you're driving there, you feel like you're headed towards an abandoned spot in the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden this warehouse pops up. It's a huge spot with tons of lanes, we went on a Friday night and there were TONS of lanes open. It's a really fun concept, it's like cornhole meets bowling meets football. Fair warning for those that can't throw a football...you won't enjoy this game. For me, I'm really not a great football thrower so I played about 3 games and by that point I had played enough. But for $15 a person, I felt ok playing a few times and then calling it quits. They have a single bar but it's pretty big, lots of space to sit down and watch TV. 2/2021 I'm confused why you would have to pay to play. When places like the painted pin, or others have so many bar games available to play for free. But even if you are going to charge, the pricing is quite steep in my opinion. We went on a Sunday, and had the place pretty much to our group. A couple other ppl were there when we arrived, then they were gone. Then another group showed up after us before we left. The place is HUGE! For space: totally 5 stars! Cornhole set up. Instead of a hole to toss a ball in, there are bowling pins. You stand from either the girl or boy line, and throw the football. Knock down the pins, win. The staff has some other rules and incentives, which they will explain to you when you play, or request to be told. One is, knocking the center fifth pin ONLY, on your FIRST throw. We had a friend do it. Reward, pull the cruise HORN. Fun for the guest, and free social media marketing for the business ;). There is a dining area, separated by cages for safety. Food and drink is allowed in the playing area, but you're pretty much guaranteed to get it knocked down, so it isn't encouraged. A bar and food , both available. I ordered the chicken sandwich. It was great! My problem was, I had to ask for my food after twenty minutes of ordering. THERE WAS NOBODY ELSE THERE! What the?? This led to me being served COLD fries. :( :( I also ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was a GREAT portion, and no skimping on the chicken. The only thing I would suggest is having the dressing given on the side for a to go order, which is what I had. I read some of the other reviews that mentioned sub par food. I can't speak for their dishes, but what we all ordered, we thought was great. They just need to bring the food when it's ready. So why is this place just 3 stars? If you don't play fowling, what else is there for you to do? Drink or eat? Problem is, you come to compare other places you've been to. So many bars nowadays have so many options, that I feel we are paying for the owner's passion, perhaps. Either way, one and done. During COVID times, it's been more difficult to figure out fun ways to celebrate big events like birthdays. So when my boyfriend's birthday came around, I had to do some work planning. I came upon this place, and figured it could be fun for his friends to throw around footballs. So I orchestrated this event, called and spoke to I believe the owner or manager. So it's $15 basic open play, or reserve a lane for $120 for two hours. He said I could make a down deposit of $60 and settle up on the actual day. Unfortunately one of his friends couldn't make it, so we had nine there, which was still plenty. The place was actually pretty dead so we used up a lot of lanes. My boyfriend went one on one with one of his buddies, and whoever lost had to do a lot of pushups. It seemed like all the guys had fun. It was different, but for me, I got kinda bored after a while and didn't really feel like playing. We both agreed we liked axe throwing better. Also, you really gotta keep aware. Those balls come flying, and I got hit a couple times, and so did my boyfriend. I didn't really like how I always had to be on the lookout the entire time whether I was playing or not. Service was great. The man who managed our party was super attentive, and kind. However, the food was a big miss. We ordered the wings, fries, nachos. The nachos were the best thing on the menu, but everything else was sub par. The wings were terrible. The one I grabbed had very little meat on it. I didn't even bother trying another. The ranch was runny. The fries were okay, but we all agreed we have had way better fries. All in all, we were super disappointed with the food, but we were all hungry. I left and we actually went and got something else because that food just wasn't worth it. What a great spot! A friend and I were looking for someone where to watch the NFL game and we got that and so much more. We had never heard of fowling and the woman at the front desk took time to explain what in the world was happening and where the game had originated. The bartender was super friendly and recommended great drinks. They have a large selection of canned & draft beers and canned cocktails as well as traditional cocktails. They featured a lot of local brews which is always awesome. They were kind enough to let us have a practice throw before committing and a woman working suggested we ask another group to play with us since it is better 2 v 2 than 1 v 1. Great experience at the Fowling Warehouse. I met a large group of a friends for a premeet & greet before a show; this place was absolutely perfect! It's a big roomy spot with lots to do; they offer fowling (bowling but you're throwing footballs), silent disco (there were 3 DJ's; techno, tech house and deep house), a full bar with lots of local beers, hand crafted cocktails and a full food menu. Overall service was great; the staff was friendly, nice and helpful. When you enter there is somebody at the front desk that will scan your ID and they will ask you if you are there for just dinner and/or if you're interested in the silent disco or playing the fowling game etc. My girlfriend and I split a local draft beer, a margarita pizza and some grilled chicken nachos. Perfect choices before dancing the night away! The pizza was super soft and comforting, made with fresh simple ingredients. The nachos were hot, crispy and delicious; loved the spicy jalapeños and the guacamole. Next time we're trying their wings; heard they were great! Cool new spot on the westside! We saw this new business in our neighborhood and had to give it a try. Obviously due to COVID, things are a bit different right now, but I can see Fowling really take off and become a popular go-to spot for a lot of people. Aside from the actual main activity (football/bowling), Fowling is setup for people to hang out, have some drinks and enjoy food. There is a large bar and plenty of seating to socially distance. I can see people stopping by even if they don't bowl/throw/fowl(??) . We did not get any food, but it looks like they have some interesting items (think upscale bar dishes). We grabbed some drinks to take a break between playing. There are plenty of screens, so I could also see stopping by to watch a football game here. On to the main activity here... football combined with bowling, combined with cornhole. I think it is a great concept and a very different activity. You take turns throwing a football to knock down your opponents pins. First to knock all 10 down wins. We had tons of room for ourselves (it was pretty empty when we were there), but I can see it getting hectic when there are most people playing at once. I think they could improve the "lanes" by adding some baseball netting or something between lanes to make things a little less crazy. Overall, a very cool concept. It's definitely hard, like expect your arm to feel sore the next day from Throwing the ball after 2 games.
