I came here for Sunday open skate. Admission was 10/person which was cool. Rental skates would've added to the total but I had my own skates. It was safe for the most part. There were cones that marked off the middle of the floor and in some places there were leaks. They had cones as well and people to wipe up the water. The kids were so fun to watch. The dj understood the assignment. He played alllll my jams. I'd come back here in a heartbeat if I'm in the area again. read more

Very disappointed in the upkeep of the facility; specifically, the carpet. Updating the carpet in all skating rinks should be a priority. Customers have to remove their shoes for changing into their skates or sometimes to relax their feet after their experience. In this place, I don't want my feet in or out of socks to touch any parts of the flooring. Just disgusting! I'd rather drive to another city to a cleaner, more updated building than to return to this place. Management and owners MUST keep the expereince pleasurable and clean. This time my grand daughter who is 7 was in town for spring break wanted to go skating.I'll just list the pros and cons. I try to support all black businesses since I'm a black woman .I try!! Pros..location, hours of operations, weekly themes..Christian Skate..3 dollar Skate , Adult Skate,etc. Games and activities.. Floor Support Cons : Outdated.Parking -Once the parking lot is full , people start parking in the grassy area which is not well lit. Dj..I learned so many twerk songs last night. Ages are from 2 to 92. The music was very inappropriate. Skate rentals are 3.00 but the little bar assistant for beginners was 5.00 The building is old and doesn't look properly maintained. Your boys with SECURITY tshirts on but socializing with female skaters. I realize this isn't the 70s anymore but if wednesday isn't Adult night Skate.. stop with a the thot music. Rag-ge-dy! Just keep driving by. Building looks abandoned (exterior). Yes, I gave it a chance. $4/5 entry fee w/o skates (similar pricing as Cascade, Sparkles, and Gilden Glide). Carpet peeling off /detached the seating and walls. The skating floor is the largest BUT, they had buckets to catch water from ceiling, and the floors were still wet. The decor in there needs to be complete re-done. All these skating rinks getting money on the Southside but, aren't renovating. Such a shame. Sparkles keep their rinks nice. read more

I would NEVER EVER RETURN HERE! Worse skating rink ever! Food was NASTY! You have to pay to get in the rink even if you're not skating. I had a rude staff member take the poles we were given to help the children skate from the kids! He could clearly see my children struggling to skate all under 6 because he says "I didn't pay for them someone else did." Mind you those same generous people had a heart to see kids struggling and decided to help! Btw it looks run down from the outside and inside. I tried to give this place a chance because I knew the owners were black but RUNNNNNNNNN! -------------------- Wow! I love how professional you all are going back and forth with everyone in the reviews instead of just taking it as a learning experience and trying to do better. My favorite skating rinke in the area. I love the summer hours during the week nice and quiet not too many people maybe a school group but the music was just as good as a Saturday. Clean seems like it's family operated which I appreciate they have an arcade area, concessions a place to sit and eat and a place to purchase skates and accessories. Haven't had much time to go during their normal hours but once I do I will be there! read more

I'd like to consider myself a frequent visitor. Today, I'm just over it. The fusion slap skate DJ is here and it's like we're listening to him practice mixing. I understand a technical difficulty here and there but geez, FIRE THE DJ. I literally sat here and watched 98% of skaters sit while two people were on the rink for 20 minutes. If you as a DJ cannot vibe with your audience you have a problem. What's worse is that there are no refunds so if you're not satisfied, you're just SOL. I'm highly upset that $19 was wasted because me and my S.O just said nah, we can't get jiggly with this. We should've just went to Cascade #honestly. It may get crowded on Sunday but at least the DJ don't be wack. read more

This place has ruined my Saturday. Not only is their air broken, they also have poor customer service skills. We were 4 out of maybe 12 people there today. I spent $36 for all of us to skate for 15 min. We couldn't bare the heat. On top of that I had two little kids who needed the skate assistance rollers things (don't know the name). They attempted to charge me $10 extra dollars for them. This place is struggling. I get the fact that in order to stay open you have to take the price up but trust me, I won't recommend coming here to any of my friends or loved ones. No one has smiled since I walked in......except the DJ. He knows he's getting paid, either way I guess. I'm over it and could have really taken my kids to see Finding Dory, but couldn't bare the heat!!!! read more

We love Skate Zone! The owner and the staff are always friendly and helpful. What is most important to skaters is that the floor is ALWAYS clean! That's what is up! The prices are reasonable so that you can afford to take your whole family: that is important! I also love that there is a pool table and games, so that there's plenty to do if you want to take a break from skating. The owner and management clearly understand "skate life." Very unsafe. the owner do not care about the safety of the children or the community.Many fights on Teen night. and Girls taking off the attire while dancing. Even boys fighting girls, and guess what the parents was not made aware and the party was not ended. read more
