OMG this place was really nice. We had a ball. There were several skate troops there and one guy even came and helped us skate better. .

It's so absurd that this park has ArieForce One. It's like a 95 year old having a Ferrari…read more This Fun Spot is out in the boonies at the edge of the Atlanta metro area and lacks the happening vibes of the two Florida Fun Spots. Granted it was noonish when I was there but it was Saturday and the place was a ghost town. The layout is pretty odd as well. There's a secondary overflow parking lot on the midway next to a big stockade looking building and other old timey looking facades but most of it looks like a county fair or a family fun center like Barrymore's back home. I got my wristband to ride as much as I wanted for the day, even knowing I had to make it to Cape Canaveral by the end of the night and couldn't spend anything close to a full day here. I made a beeline for the fabled star attraction, ArieForce One. It looks great and a mere station wait was a welcome sight. The first 90% of ArieForce One completely lived up to the hype with an incredible mix of airtime hills, inversions and overbanked turns coming at a breakneck pace. Nothing was breaking my neck though, or causing the slightest bit of discomfort. Then came the series of bunny hills at the end with their violent ejector air. Absolutely killed my thighs whether I was in the front or the rear of the train. Felt like my thighs were getting jackhammered. Now I've ridden several coasters built by Rocky Mountain Construction, the manufacturer of ArieForce One. Iron Gwazi, Steel Vengeance, Twisted Cyclone and Goliath in addition to the one I'm talking about. All had the lapbars with the shin guards that let you go upside down without over the shoulder restraints. I've never had an issue with these RMC restraints on any of their other coasters that I've ridden. I thought I'd ride ArieForce One a dozen times or so. After one ride I went to ride a go kart track. It was okay nothing special. Came back for a second lap on ArieForce One. Once again I needed a break from it after that. I rode the park's other coasters, an unremarkable wild mouse called Hurricane. Hit the bathroom and took pictures of weird murals on the walls by video games and the food court. Came back for a third lap on ArieForce One. Once again it was exhilarating, exhilarating, more exhilarating then excruciating. I know a lot of coaster freaks are over the moon about ArieForce One - about the only other people riding it were maniacal masochists who were walking roller coaster encyclopedias. And I wouldn't mind working my way up to being a walking roller coaster encyclopedia but to be that I need to be able to walk. Love everything about ArieForce One until those bruising bunny hills at the finale. To me that ride is unmarathonable. Fortunately I did need to make good time on the road and I had lots of other fun things planned on this trip and I knew I would be spending a pretty penny so I didn't much mind the cash I sunk into that wristband. This Fun Spot is just so odd and its marquee attraction has a fatal flaw but I'll still give the place three stars. Here's to knowing when to say when.

Have you been adulting a little too hard lately?…read more Do you want to bring back some childhood memories? Do you want the fun and excitement without the guilt of feeling childish? Skyline Park is the place for you! After 8 PM it's adults ONLY, and it's a blast! Enjoyable carnival games, an exhilarating metal slide, mini golf, and this little pulley-type sky ride. (PLEASE skip arm day, this will be your workout) I've come to this location several times and thoroughly enjoyed myself every time. Recently I decided to bring my parents, and they loved it. They have not felt so free and young in so long, and they allowed themselves to tap back in. Enjoy themselves and take a ride down memory lane. All while enjoying Breathtaking views of the city. Intoxicating glee and positive vibes. I highly recommend Skyline Park! Don't overthink it, just do! If I haven't convinced you yet. I have I mentioned that its budget friendly? Access to the rooftop is $15. It's a short elevator ride up. (Sometimes they give you the history of the building in the elevator itself, not always, but they should ask about that) For an additional 15 bucks, you will receive unlimited games. For a whopping total of $30 to have the time of your life. Also, the drinks are fantastic. They have two bars on the rooftop. Did I mention that the drinks are reasonably priced? They do have a bar where you can customize your drinks, and a walk-up window where they have preset drinks and your favorite carnival foods Please note: During the winter months, they do have an ice-skating rink! In adults' paradise! Listen, you don't have to take my word for it. Experience it for yourself and then come back and like my recommendation!!! Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. I still recall the "Great American Scream Machine," which opened in 1973 as the largest roller coaster in the world at that time and of course, was the anchor attraction at Six Flags over Georgia!! The Screen Machine of 105 feet (32 m) tall and reached speeds of 57 miles per hour - it really was a scary wooden roller coaster to ride! I am not a thrill seeker and not a fan of theme parks in general, making Six Flags, for me, not really all that fun. My long time best friend is a thrill seeker, and, because she worked at an ABC affiliate in promotions in Birmingham was able to score free passes for us to go to Six Flags over Georgia several times, and we could bypass the lines! We could knock out all the fun roller coasters and other rides in no time at all! The "Riddler Mindbender" steel flying roller coaster was another roller coaster we liked to ride. Thanks Six Flags Over Georgia for providing hours of fun for so many over so many years!!!!!!

Confirmed Field Trip, Not Open, and No Real Solutions…read more We were really excited to bring our first grade class here for a fairy tale field trip, and it ended up being incredibly disappointing. We had a confirmed 10:00 AM reservation and even called to confirm both the day before and the morning of. We arrived early with 42 students and 8 adults and were told to enter through Dillard's--only to find it closed. We then had to walk our entire group around the building and through the mall. When we arrived, the experience was completely dark and not set up. At 10:15, we were told the characters "weren't ready yet" and asked to wait. That turned into being asked to wait until 11:30. Managing that kind of delay with 42 first graders--especially with rotating groups--is simply not realistic. Some of our students would have been waiting well over an hour. What made it worse was the lack of meaningful solutions. We were offered 50% off their maze next door (after already paying a significant amount for the experience), but couldn't even access it right away. The only free option suggested was a toddler play area, which was not appropriate for our students. At that point, we had to ask for a refund and completely pivot. We ended up taking the kids to a park just so they could eat lunch and play. Many of them were confused and upset--some were even crying. Field trips take a lot of time and planning, and we chose this experience specifically to connect to our fairy tale unit. It was incredibly frustrating to lose both the experience and a half day of learning due to poor communication and lack of preparation. I would strongly caution any school or large group before booking here.

Look, I ain't gonna lie, I have some issues!!!…read more FIRST, please don't be offended if I won't take a sip of your drink or eat off your plate at a yelp event. As a matter of fact, if you ask me for a sip of my drink and I let you have some... don't be surprised if I tell you to keep it. Sure, I'm gonna play it off like I was done drinking it, but the moment your saliva hits my drink, it ain't going back in my mouth! SECOND, if you have serious body odor and hug me, please don't be offended if I bust out Clorox wipes and start cleaning myself. It's not you, it's me! THIRD, if you are a restaurant employee and I see you leave a restroom without washing your hands... you might as well comp my bill and throw away my food! Or if I see you wipe several tables and seats with the same rag without rinsing it in nice soapy disinfectant-filled hot water, you can just burn my table with a flamethrower and get me a new one! LASTLY, if you run a water park that has more skin surface area than water... just plan on refunding me my admission right now! I LOVE HURRICANE HARBOR, but not on days like today when there were so many people in the water I was tempted to call infectious disease control for an emergency inspection. Seriously, you got all kinds of people walking around here that don't look like they value personal hygiene (some with open sores) and you want ME to bathe in this water and trust the chemicals are doing their job? NOT!!! Days like this I wouldn't get in the water fully clothed with a waterproof HAZMAT suit. So Six Flags, I'm gonna need you to start limiting how many people can come into this area at one time or I'm gonna be force to take another star off! That is all. SIDE NOTE - My wife doesn't appreciate my dousing her with antibacterial gel when coming out of the water with the kids and surrounding them with crime tape as the gel dries... but a man has got to do what a man has got to do! So I'mma need those capacity restrictions soon OR I need a water area built for germ-a-phobes only. I'd be happy to train your staff how to do a walking diagnosis for potential violators. I can spot nasty people a mile way! 2017/113

The best pricing for a party of four was on Groupon, so that's what we used. The ride includes four rotations. I was surprised at how quickly the ride moves, even though it was a reasonable pace. The pods are temperature controlled, and have an emergency call button in case someone needs to exit early. The button alerts the staff on the ground, and they will stop the ride to let you off on the next rotation. It was pretty empty when we were there. They have upsell items that we were not interested in: a single rose for $10, a teddy bear for $15, and souvenir pictures on a themed backdrop. To exit the attraction, you walk through the area where your pictures would be and a patio where there are stands to buy snack foods and sweet treats.
