I love six flags over georgia SO much! But... the food is bad quality and overpriced. I try and bring my own food and it works every time. Also, the best ride here is Twisted Cyclone or Goliath!

The food is DRASTICALLY overpriced for the quality. The lines are ridiculous even with fast past. We went on a weekend and the rides kept breaking down.

Located just 20-30 minutes outside of Atlanta, Six Flags Over Georgia is a fun time for all ages. Day passes cost $45 and fast pass options range from $100-$170. We went with the mid range option which was perfect! You virtually sign up for your next rides fast pass lane and most wait times were 20-30 minutes. We would book our next ride while in line for our current one and walked over just at the right time or we used the time for a bite. Never waited! We were able to ride about 6-8 rides over a 4 hour period. These aren't super scary drops so most people will find them tolerable. Superman was a cool concept where you're standing then "flying" around the ride. The only issue with our visit was our wait times for food and beverages. Service was so slow! Super understaffed it was almost unbearable. Season pass is a good option for repeat visits, free parking, and 15%+ off on items and food around the park.

I'm a theme/amusement park enthusiast, and I was here with my coaster club, Melanin Coaster Network for their Juneteenth event. All in all we had a lovely day there. We started our day off with some Exclusive Ride Time on Goliath. They opened the park up an hour early for us, and we got to ride this ride over and over. It's a smooth ride with lots of great views and air time! We hit up a couple more rides before it was time for lunch. We were served a buffet lunch which was a part of our event. But unfortunately the food ran out before everyone was able to get enough. We had a fun time playing R&B bingo which was also a part of our event. The host and her crew were great. The game was fun but it did go on a little longer than we expected. After that it was back to the rides. They have some fun rides there. My coaster crew enjoyed many of them. I like more of the smooth, tamer rides. So some of the rides were too rickety for me. My favorites were Goliath and Twisted Cyclone. Gold Rusher was cool too, but unfortunately our side didn't spin so I didn't get the full experience. Yes most of the people working in the park were young which is pretty typical. They were fine though. Many of them weren't overly friendly. But they weren't rude to us. The parking attendants were friendly too. However I will say the dispatches were WAY too slow on some rides even though it was a very slow day. I don't know when I'll be back in the area. But as an all park passport holder, I'd definitely go back.

Well. I had a good day here but... I think I would have appreciated it more if I wasn't a few ears away from being a Disney adult, lol. I love having an amusement park in the city I live in. Although I'm a native Floridian, I was raised hours away from Orlando but it's a right of passage to go there. So living in the beautiful city of Atlanta now, I'm stoked that there's an amusement park that I can get to in minutes. Major plus! I have never been to a Six Flags park before this visit, at least not that I can remember. So I considered this my first time. I researched online, obsessed over TikToks and all that good stuff because if I'm nothing, I'm dramatic lol. You'd think I was planning a long distance trip. But it helped me prepare! We arrived as soon as the park was opening. Parking was a breeze and I loved that there was a tram ready and waiting for us to get on. We were driven to the front of the park and dropped off within minutes. The lines weren't too bad and we entered within minutes with our passes. First impression, it was incredibly clean. I know they had just opened but throughout the day, I don't remember seeing any trash on the grounds. Love that! My favorite rides were Superman and Thunder River. I was so surprised at the thrill I got from Thunder River! We walked off of the ride soaked and laughing our faces off. Superman was also fantastic. It's crazy to be in a position like that just zooming over the park. I hadn't been on a roller coaster in so long, that was a nice welcome back into the fun. Part of me is interested in visiting the water park someday soon to beat the heat. We contemplated getting fast passes but because we were early, we didn't end up waiting too long in any of the lines. In the future if we go later in the afternoon, I may consider getting those passes because the lines actually picked up as the day went on. I purchased one of the dining plans because, greedy, and I'm still iffy on if I thought it worth it. My issue was: my friend was ordering a souvenir cup and by the time you pay for that, it's only a few bucks away from the dining plan cost. So she got a dining plan. When we went about the day, she got a snack and then I went to get a snack and couldn't. We thought we had the same pass? Apparently not. I'm not sure how that got messed up but I ended up paying for snacks and she only had her 1 meal and snack. I'm still not sure which was a better value lol. The fries were perfection but the burger I had was very sad. If I do the dining plan again, no burger. I did LOVE the souvenir cup! On a hot day in the South, it's great to have a refreshing drink. Everywhere we turned there was another refill station. I kept my cup filled with water, powerade and coke zero and was so hydrated in the 97 deg+ weather. Totally worth the money and easy to hold onto. There were a number of restaurants that were closed which sucked, and the wall murals could use some touch-ups but the vibes are there lol. We caught a show outside of the BBQ joint that was some nice family fun. Cheesy but cute and nice for the kids to have some G-rated entertainment. I loved seeing Tweety Bird, Taz and all the DC characters walking around. I wish they had more shows. All in all, I started this review at 3-stars and by the end, it turned into 4-stars because I really did have a good time. Next time I visit I won't be comparing it to other amusement parks, I'll let it shine on its own!

This was my first time at Six Flags in quite a long time. I was actually lucky enough to go with my wife for a work event. She works at Coca-Cola, and they had rented out the entire park for Coca-Cola employees' and their friends and family, which was AWESOME. We were able to ride practically everything without barely any wait at all. We even rode some things more than once, which was so cool. Normally, we would probably only be able to ride a handful of coasters and have to wait a super long time, if we went on any other weekend.

Fright fest is a blast... I have written reviews before about the staffing, lack of staffing, and just general disdain the staff has... but not this time!! There were 6 of us in our group and we had a blast! Staff that we interacted with was fantastic! For the most part.... Helpful, kind accommodating and all. I will say though that at the eateries we did have issues... the turkey leg place ran out of legs and had a long line that they didn't tell anyone until you got to the window. Then they said it would be another hour!! First of all someone messed up... they had them they just were not staying on top of cooking them. Secondly how do you let people stand in line for 45 mins and not tell people you're out of the number 1 item you sell?! Then when we went to the next place there was only one person running the register and taking orders... with a line going out the door! It took forever.. but at least they were not out of chicken tenders. They seriously need better management in the food areas! Pull a person out them on register. Make sure your teens are watching the supply and cooking when things need to be cooked! I don't blame the kids... is the bosses that are at fault here. However the event was fun, all of us had a great time... and we will do this again. The cast walking around as monsters weee great! The haunted maze was fun, the rides were excellent... it was a great time.

Six flags was awesome. The twisted cyclone was crazy. We went at October and they had cool items like blood bags. They decorated the entrance too! The food there was also delicious. But the lines for the rides were insane. Average wait: (60 min to 85 min). We had my friend's birthday party here and it was awesome. I recommend the Joker Funhouse Coaster, Twisted Cyclone, (if you're up for it) and Harley Quinn whirl spin. We will be back when we have the time!

The days of old where you were greeted by photographers ready to take your iconic themepark picture are gone. (sad face) The customer service was lacking, not that I expect Disney World, but at minimum do your job. Also a lot of rides were down. No explation of why or how long.

    Lea D.

I love theme parks but living in Florida has me used to Universal, Disney, Busch Gardens, and Sea World so I wasn't really sure what to expect at my first time at Six Flags. It was a fun day but I don't think it really compares. The park is quite large and it was a little confusing getting around. I felt like we were constantly backtracking or winding up at dead ends. Besides Loony Tune land and the DC area, it felt like the other zones didn't really have any themes, even the rides. There were a decent number of roller coasters but you could tell they were a bit old/outdated. The Great American Scream Machine banged my head up pretty good and some of the other ones were extremely jerky or had very hard brakes at the stop. They were also really short, like maximum 30 second rides. I did really like Superman, twisted cyclone and pandamonium. The staff was not great and most were rude. The majority were teenagers and you could tell they didn't really care about their job. We had questions about our flash pass when we got there and we had to go to 3 different people for the answer and the person that final did and answer us, answered us in a way that made us feel stupid for not knowing. There was a ride that we went on and it was 2 seats per row so my fiance and I got in one row and my cousin was going to sit in the row in front of us but the people before him were talking a bit to get out of their seat so when they finally got up, he went to move forward and the gate shut before he could get on. We told the worker that he was trying to get on and wanted to sit with us and she shrugged and said once the gates shut it's too late. It just seemed inefficient? There were multiple cases during the day where empty rows/cars were being sent out even though there were long lines. It honestly just seemed like they didn't care. We had lunch at the bbq place and the pulled pork and cornbread was pretty good. The Mac and cheese was not good at all. Overall it was a fun day and because we had the flash pass, we were able to ride everything.

I have been here multiple times but impressed by their staffing and performance post NYE. It was cold but all rides except one were running. The lights for holidays were fantastic and no lines!!! By the last hour of closing most rides in Gotham city had technical issues though. Go figure. Definitely get the season pass and avail the online discounts for pretty competitive pricing

    Naked art
    Clarice L.

My biggest issue are the kids areas. The photos of naked people kissing I posted are in the kids area on the Merry-Go-Round. On top of that, prices have doubled, rewards have been removed, included meals are gone from the dining pass, and the digital system has transaction issues everyone we go. We've been members since 2015 and have watched the decline. Don't get me started on the bad attitudes and employees closing restaurants early whenever they feel like it smh. Beware of the chicken wing place, they will close at 6:30!

Is it worth getting the Flash pass? It's my first time visiting a Six Flags and there are three options so I am a little confused. Which of the three is the best bang for your buck?

Depending when u go and the crowds yes. The ride wait times can be long. Especially like super man and them.

For anyone that's gone recently are they enforcing Covid-19 safety protocols? Also how are the wait…

NOT during spring break--- the crowd # was ridiculously high today- i went 4/7/21 with my sons...and it was a miserable experience. All rides had a 2 hour minimum wait time at best. And that goes for food/drink wait time too. I literally stood in… Read more

Look, I ain't gonna lie, I have some issues!!!…read more FIRST, please don't be offended if I won't take a sip of your drink or eat off your plate at a yelp event. As a matter of fact, if you ask me for a sip of my drink and I let you have some... don't be surprised if I tell you to keep it. Sure, I'm gonna play it off like I was done drinking it, but the moment your saliva hits my drink, it ain't going back in my mouth! SECOND, if you have serious body odor and hug me, please don't be offended if I bust out Clorox wipes and start cleaning myself. It's not you, it's me! THIRD, if you are a restaurant employee and I see you leave a restroom without washing your hands... you might as well comp my bill and throw away my food! Or if I see you wipe several tables and seats with the same rag without rinsing it in nice soapy disinfectant-filled hot water, you can just burn my table with a flamethrower and get me a new one! LASTLY, if you run a water park that has more skin surface area than water... just plan on refunding me my admission right now! I LOVE HURRICANE HARBOR, but not on days like today when there were so many people in the water I was tempted to call infectious disease control for an emergency inspection. Seriously, you got all kinds of people walking around here that don't look like they value personal hygiene (some with open sores) and you want ME to bathe in this water and trust the chemicals are doing their job? NOT!!! Days like this I wouldn't get in the water fully clothed with a waterproof HAZMAT suit. So Six Flags, I'm gonna need you to start limiting how many people can come into this area at one time or I'm gonna be force to take another star off! That is all. SIDE NOTE - My wife doesn't appreciate my dousing her with antibacterial gel when coming out of the water with the kids and surrounding them with crime tape as the gel dries... but a man has got to do what a man has got to do! So I'mma need those capacity restrictions soon OR I need a water area built for germ-a-phobes only. I'd be happy to train your staff how to do a walking diagnosis for potential violators. I can spot nasty people a mile way! 2017/113

ADRENALIZE Stunt…read moreschool is in session with this wild Gerstlauer custom ride! This was my first encounter riding a single car dive coaster ('Valravn' notwithstanding) and I have to give it exceedingly high marks. This does for Six Flags Over Georgia what 'X-Flight' does for my local park Six Flags Great America - a perfect fit that delivers some excellent thrills and a few very unique, intense maneuvers. Be warned that guest throughput is extremely low - single cars are sent out with a maximum of 6 riders at a time, and that's only if station crews are diligent in filling them up (which doesn't always happen). With only one tiny train on the course at a given time, lines can stretch well past the 60 minute mark. My advice is to grab a snack + drink and get settled in. The ride itself is rather short; after disengaging the vertical lift, a 95° drop is followed by a delightful dive loop, banked turn, immelman, block brake, a few short drop turns and an in-line twist taken veerrrryy slowly. But let's get back to that whole vertical chain lift bit. I've never experienced that before and the slow ascent to 95ft had my nerves of steel REALLY on edge. Even with steep lifts like those on 'Millennium Force' and 'Goliath' @ SFGAm, that's nothing compared to the terror of being leisurely dragged straight up on 'Dare Devil Dive'. Uhhhhh mah gawdddd. Even with three inversions, this ride uses only lapbars (no over-the-shoulder restraints or seatbelts) for an extra terrifying sensation. Each car has flared stadium seating, which gives riders in rows 2 and 3 a less-obstructed view, a nice touch. Eric S's Six Flags Over Georgia coaster rating : 2nd out of 9!! Verdict --- brief but badass, this is a boldly distinctive roller coaster that stands proudly towards the top of Six Flags Over Georgia's lineup of thrill machines. A ride time of 1 minute and 40 seconds is unfortunate in that you'll likely wind up spending upwards of 45 minutes waiting for this dynamic Gerstulauer custom coaster. But it's worth it. _________________________ Final thoughts : I wish there were a dive coaster nearer to Chicago, since the closest one is located inside the Mall of America way the hell up in Minneapolis. Despite a rather short ride time, this one was an absolute blast and that vertical chain lift is SO unnerving. I STRONGLY recommend spending the extra time for the front seat on this one, no matter how long the estimated wait. Ladies and gentlemen, this one's not for sissies.

It's very smooth but I wouldn't consider it the best roller coaster in the park. I love when you…read moreare going up -- even the veterans of the roller coasters get nervous at this 90 degree angle. And the drop is even more thrilling but the fun kinda.. ends there. It just feels like a roller coaster and some of those days, the slowly moving loop is just too much for you. Operations is also usually typically on the slower side, so longer waits. I would definitely rank this on my lower to mid tiers.

AQUA MARINE This…read morecompact Vekoma roller coaster is astoundingly intense and is one of their best models installed in the US, thanks to its striking setting and some recent remodeling. (( fans and followers of mine will appreciate the frequent use of puns and double-entendres in my titles/headers, and this review is no exception. 'Aqua Marine' is in fact an elusive **triple** play-on-words; 'aqua' an indicator of the ride's construction over water, 'marine' an allusion to the revamped military theme tie-in, and 'aquamarine' for the overhaul in blue paint the entire ride was given. just go ahead and give me the Pulitzer in Creative Writing now. )) A top speed of 52mph sends the trains through a quintet of inversions - a highly unique "butterfly" element, sidewinder, and consecutive double corkscrews - across a 2,742ft course. All of this is fairly compressed into a ride time of 1 minute 20 seconds. Lines aren't terribly long, a testament to good station crews and two train operation. Coaster nerd moment: the "butterfly" element is essentially back-to-back sidewinders taken in series. The only other ride to use this is 'Goudurix' at Parc Astérix in France, so it's pretty special. It's like the "batwing" found on 'Vortex' @ Kings Island, but the train exits the element traveling in the same direction as it began. Tough to describe, and even tougher to visualize, I know. Just do a Google image search. Existing as 'Ninja' from 1992-2015, this coaster was painted red and was hated by many guests for the unpleasantly rough ride it gave. For the 2016 season, Six Flags Over Georgia made the decision to re-paint it blue, re-track parts of the coaster, replace boxy shoulder restraints with soft vest ones, and re-introduce the ride with a military theme as 'Blue Hawk'. My only criticisms about this coaster are the CRAZY sluggish chain lift hill (quite possibly the slowest in existence) and the fact that it's still kinda jarring. Although not as rough as it was when operating as 'Ninja', 'Blue Hawk' still delivers a pretty turbulent ride. The new, soft vest-style over the shoulder restraints make a *big* difference in rider comfort. .......oh, a word of caution.....do NOT attempt to extend your arms or legs outside of the car at any time. They will go bye-bye. The ride's manufacturer built the structure in such a way that beams and track come within MERE INCHES of the oncoming train. I counted at least 5 "headchopper" moments, which is a lot for a single coaster. It's apparent in any row and much like the inverted 'SLC' models built by Vekoma, this ups in the intensity factor considerably. Normally this ride would garner 4* from me, with 'Blue Hawk' it's all about location, location, location. This custom coaster is built ENTIRELY over water and 90% of the supports rest on concrete footer built atop a small lagoon. That earns it major plus points in my book and makes for some fantastic photo opportunities, the sapphire track reflecting off of the cool cobalt water. Eric S's Six Flags Over Georgia rating: 4th out of 9. Final verdict --- between the patriotic re-branding ('Murrica, f*ck yeah!), the fresh new coat of azure paint, and the tightly-packed succession of inversions, I'd have to award 4.5* for this particular roller coaster. I can't do half stars, but since I enjoyed the watery whereabouts of this one so much, I'm going to err on the side of awesomeness and go for the full 5*. Yes indeed, 'Blue Hawk' is one of the better rides at Atlanta's Six Flags and it makes for some phenomenal picture taking. It's a very Instagram-worthy ride, in my opinion. With very reasonable wait times, I highly recommend you check this out on your day at the park!

Blue Hawk was re-done from the previous "Ninja" and oh boy - did Ninja have a rep. Ninja was considered one of the shakiest coasters in the park, and even in the busiest of days, it never had a long line. You knew how busy it was if Ninja had a line. Anyways, in an effort to "rebrand" this painful ride, they repainted the tracks, re-DID the tracks to make it smoother and re-opened it as Blue Hawk. Did it actually change? Yes -- actually the ride feels significantly smoother, but the shakiness is still there. Because the restraints are pull-down, your neck or head or shoulder is bound to bump into it after the infinite amounts of loops and inversions the ride has. Mainly the reason this ride earns 2 (vs. 1) I would ONLY ride this if someone sincerely asked me to ride - I usually always skip this one and Georgia Scorcher but sometimes, it's not that bad to ride honestly. It really just... "could be better."

DC UNITED Another…read moreday at a Six Flags park, another Sally dark ride shooter. While I won't say that I get bored of riding these Justice League attractions, this one is no different than the ones I've ridden (and written reviews for) at Great America, St Louis, and Over Texas. Indeed, there exist *7* - that's seven - at Six Flags all over North America. I haven't yet experienced the ones in New Jersey, SoCal, or Mexico City, but I'll get to them eventually. Except for Mexico City, because kidnapping. This 'Battle for Metropolis' at Six Flags Over Georgia was new for 2017, which meant it was one of the more popular attractions at the park. Fortunately, I took advantage of the single rider line which took a 30 minute wait down to about 5 minutes. Riders are given pairs of cheap-o 3D glasses to interact with multiple movie screens during the ride. At 3 minutes and 45 seconds long, you get a decent value for the amount of time spent waiting in line. There's some mild spinning in the tracked 6-person vehicle, along with a nice erupting fire effect and a few other F/X like fog and whatnot. Same stuff I've seen in Dallas and northern Chicago, so nothing new to me. I found that my lightgun wasn't calibrated very tightly, as evidenced by my rather lousy score. Seriously, at my local area park I'm ranked in the Top 1% of all-time whereas here my (relatively abysmal) score put me in only the Top 25%. Maybe I just got screwed with a crappy blaster. Still fun, though.......and I kicked everyone else's ass in my car (though they were younger girls, so that's not a fair comparison). Ride crews were pretty friendly and timely in getting the vehicles out of the station. 'Battle for Metropolis' is great for younger kids and families; if the line doesn't stretch for more than half an hour, hop on and blast some baddies alongside Batman, Superman, and the rest of the Justice League!

Having opened on May 26, 2017, this 4D attraction is similar in style to my absolute favorite theme park game/ride - Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Disney World (Florida) and Disney's California Adventure. Riders work with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and Green Lantern to shoot at targets throughout the ride and save the city of Metropolis from Lex Luthor, his LexBots, the Joker, and Joker's henchmen. My group of 5 got in line around 12:30 pm on a particularly busy Sunday (Father's Day), and I believe we waited about 90 minutes for our turn. However, the ride was well worth the wait - and I appreciated that part of the line that extended outside was shaded along with mist fans to keep us cool. Each car holds 6 passengers, and I think it's easier to get a higher score if you're sitting in the front row. Be sure to "shotgun" the front row of the car while you're waiting in line with the 4 or 5 others who will be riding with you! Riders receive "Night Vision Glasses" (3D glasses), and each seat has a designated color so that you can see which "EMP Wave" is coming from your blaster. To be honest, I didn't pay much attention to the actual "mission" of the attraction other than trying to shoot as many things as possible with my blaster. But the chaos from everyone in the car shooting at the same time makes it hard to see which EMP wave is yours. The special effects I did notice, such as real fire and "smoke" from fog machines, were pretty cool. Overall, "JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis" gets 4 stars for being an awesome, full-sensory thrill ride. It would have been way better if each car was limited to just 2 (like Disney's Toy Story Midway Mania) or 3 riders so that each player could more easily see where his/her blaster is shooting. Nevertheless, this attraction has immediately become one of my favorites at Six Flags Over Georgia, and I highly recommend it!

Cedar Point's MaxAir might edge out SFOG's Pandemonium but it's still a 5 star slam dunk. I only gave Pandemonium one spin but would've loved to go for seconds, thirds, etc. Unfortunately, they had already closed up the queue at around 6:20pm when the park was supposed to stay open til 7pm for some colonizer holiday on a Monday in October. Boooo!!! Whatever, I rode Twisted Cyclone instead. I'm completely neutral on the steampunk theme here. The promotional sign with Pandemonium rising high above the clouds made me laugh though. Six Flags is known for fibbing about the grandiosity of their rides but the artistic license there just hit my funny bone in how it wasn't even trying to be taken literally... at least I hope not.

Because the ride is relatively new, I also see a long line (though it has fast turnover due to how many people it can fit per dispatch). I would probably only ride this if someone really wanted to ride it and not ride on my own time.

I, like many enthusiasts, consider this a sister coaster to 'Shock Wave' over at sibling park SFOT in Dallas. In fact, both rides opened within a month of each other--'Mind Bender' preceding its Texas brethren by a mere 3 weeks. Along with identical trains and similar four-tube truss track construction, the whopping G-forces are also alike (this pulls 5.4G, while 'SW' nets a gnarly 5.9G). Due to being built over a ravine, there's a considerable elevation change which adds to the ride's thrill factor. The 2nd vertical loop hovers mere inches above water; during local area flooding in September 2009, this portion of the ride was partially submerged! Trains use individual ratcheting lap bars and cars are fairly cramped. There's a brief tunnel before the final brake run and a very aesthetically-pleasing natural waterfall nearby. In 1997, this ride was repainted green to fit in with the Gotham City section of the park. The '?' is prominent on the entry signage, making 'Mind Bender' unofficially tied to the villainous Riddler. The wrapping on the train matches this scheme as well. The main reason for the unusually high G's is because the loops are more akin to a perfect circle and less like the typical teardrop shape. Whether in the front, back, or middle rows, you'll feel those G's, and baby it is WONDERFUL. A flip side to this is the delightful *negative* G's experienced in the front row at the crest of each turnaround. It twice caught me by surprise, and I ate that sh*t up. Simply marvelous. It comes as no surprise to me that both 'Mind Bender' and its fraternal twin 'Shock Wave' continue to rank highly in the worldwide poll of steel roller coasters. In fact, this particular ride was #14 in the 2010 listing, higher than both my own 'Raging Bull' AND the legendary 'Nemesis', which is rather impressive. Eric S's Six Flags Over Georgia coaster rating : 3rd out of 9! Final verdict --- this splendid "terrain" ride is truly one-of-a-kind in the world. Although it's nowhere near the fastest, tallest, longest, or has the most inversions, it began a steel thrill machine boom back in the late 1970's that still hasn't stopped to this day. For that it deserves a whole heap of praise.....and it's still a helluva fun ride, to boot! Between the brain-boggling G-forces, the unexpected pops of airtime in the front row, and the gorgeous green gully the coaster is built over, 'Mind Bender' is a fantastic attraction that you do NOT want to miss on your trip to Six Flags Over Georgia. Very highly recommended!!
