Super nice people very community oriented, people here to help you skate better and they help you if you fall. Plus, there was a vote for Georgia and USHER was here, Jesus, and it was free for voting day.

Had such a good time at Cascade! Although there was no parking available we managed to find a spot at the gas station located across the street. $12 for general admission and an additional $5 if you want to rent skates. This place was jumping and full of vibes as you can see. We had a blast skating and watch everyone else do their thing. Just like the movie ATL it was all that and more! Fast pace and skilled skaters. If you don't know how to skate, New New said it best lol("thats why you can't skate") this ain't the place for you...

Had the best time skating last night at the adult skate night from 11:30-3. I want them to get some new skates tho because the rental skates are awful but skating brings back such good memories with my mom. I love skating! The skating rink itself is pretty big, the Dj was great and they have lots of locker space. Overall, I had so much fun. It's $12 to get in and $5 to rent their skates.

I decided to have my 50th birthday party here. It was one of the best decisions I made all year. The customer service was exceptional. Our host was wonderful. The VIP room was spacious and clean and comfortable. The skating section was fun. The music was great. I prefer the sip and skate, very adult and classic. Me and my family had a fantastic time. Very Grown and sexy. Can't wait to go back there again. Can't stop the joy in my heart from the entire experience. Thanks Cascade for making my birthday party amazing

My car got vandalized on Cascade's property, with security walking the parking lot.

On 12/28/2024, I was at Cascade for the RnB session from 11:30pm-2:30am and my car window was smashed between 12:00pm and 2:00pm. I was parked up front. I have a Camaro and the Mercedes parked next to my car was also smashed. There was supposedly "security walking around the parking lot when my vehicle got vandalized. They took a bag with expensive perfume out of my car and they stole a purse out of the other vehicle. When the police arrived, the manager on duty, Ms. Ann/Annie said that she would not reimburse us for our cars being broken into on Cascade's property, with security. The manager had a lackluster attitude and it took her almost an hour to come outside to talk with us. The police officer had to come get her out of the building to speak with us. She would not even refund us our admission. She did not even walk out to see the damage to our vehicles. She did not even offer an apology for what happened to our cars on Cascade's property. I am writing this review to warn anyone thinking of driving any car to Cascade not to do it. My car was parked up front with security, supposedly, watching the parking lot and my window was still smashed. This establishment does not value its customers or the safety of our valuables while parked on THEIR property. Find a better skating rink with management who cares about the safety of their customers.

The front signage. Retro!

This place takes me way back, daddy-o. My hometown in Maryland had one of these old rinks. You know the vibe, ya'll - building looks like an airport hangar, disco ball, a giant room full of lysol-sprayed rental skates. Cascade is just like this, but it's surprisingly recent construction. The company website says it was built in 1998, which is pretty cool because they're channeling the whole late 70's neon aesthetic. That makes it retro-futuristic maybe? Far out! I went for a kid's birthday on Saturday afternoon. Crowd was sparse but energetic, and people were piling in slowly as the session continued. I bet the night skating sessions are packed. Anyway, my rental skates were sturdy and clean, and the music was pretty well controlled for a mostly-kids crowd. I'm not the kind of parent that always expects things to be squeaky clean, media-wise, but I appreciate the DJ's efforts to keep things fun for everyone, you know? I keep reading that Cascade has been used for VIP birthdays and also as a filming location. It's super unique in the area and I had a blast reminding a bunch of kids that their dads can skate, too.

I can't believe I haven't ever done a review of this place. I've been here on several occasions-most recently due to a fundraiser I chaired for my sorority. If you want an authentic slice of Atlanta, you can find it here. On busy nights you might want to get here early if you don't want to stand in line-and there is definitely a line (oh yeah if you want good parking too). If you can't skate get to the middle of the floor or you will be run over lol

Ask the Community - Cascade Family Skating

Is there a bar for adult night?

Hello, we currently do not have a bar. Our upstairs lounge with a bar will be opening this year, check out our Instagram @cascadeskate for our opening day.

Are there lessons for beginners?

Not really. You just have to find skaters that do lessons. I tried @SkateFantacee and @KameoRoll @ISkate_Solo and others will do skate lessons for a fee.

How is parking on Wednesday nights?

Horrible

Is this place closed down?

No. Fully open

Joystick Gamebar looks like it's been here a long time. There are two main areas: The bar is in the main area where people enter, and it has a many old school games that were commonly found in video game arcades from the 1970s through 1990s, and there is another big room with lots of chairs and couches, and a lot more quirky decorations scattered throughout the room. Outside food was catered, so I wasn't aware that Joystick Gamebar also sold food. The video games were fun. Although one of our directors brought lots of rolls of quarters, one of the managers made it so that all of our employees were able to play the games without inserting any quarters. This was probably a great thing for us, since I noticed most of my colleagues were really awful at playing video games. One of my favorite video games, Galaga, was available, so, after getting killed early in the game a few times, I ended up being on the high scores list! Had a fun time!

3.5 Despite having…read morenerdy tendencies, this wasn't the place for me. I'm thinking that I experienced it in its weaker era. I came here on a work trip so there was a LOT going on: food buffets, bar mania, games of all sorts. Had I come here with a group of friends to play games and sip on a drink I think I would have had a different (read: better) experience. That said, I appreciate that B&B exists and what it's trying to do. Despite being here as part of a big group, the staff was perfectly lovely and patient. That's not always the case when it comes to dealing with large groups. The food menu is confusingly large and caters to about every taste.* I got a little grossed out at the thought of eating around so much dust. Board games and consoles are dirty/dusty. They show both easily. Eating around/in that didn't appeal to me. What *did* appeal to me, though, was the thought of drinking a potion. From the glass (straight up D&D) to the color (blue), I was all in. The Mana Potion had a lot of the right elements (gin, blue curacao, elderflower liqueur, lemon, and Sprite) but the extra zhuzh for our party was team too much. The edible glitter made the drink a bit thick and didn't do wonders for my stomach. It's a tough criticism because I was here for an extra sparkly drink/potion. Definitely on brand. For me, Battle & Brew is an odd space that could benefit from some editing. But, it looks like I am in the minority. I can agree with not being the target audience. So, gamers, have at it! *I didn't experience much in the way of GF/DF/VG options but, again, target audience.

I was truly excited to try this place because it is such a cool concept. Went yesterday for dinner…read morewith my husband, daughter, and my friend and her daughter. We opted for the board games for $7 so that we could play together at the table while we ate, which is a great idea in theory but the execution left a lot to be desired. Most of the games we tried to play were old, dirty (yuck), and incomplete. For example, we were unable to play Guess Who because both the red and blue lineups were missing people and many of the people cards were torn into pieces. We were able to play What Do You Meme, but it was obvious that most of the meme cards were missing, so we had to stop abruptly when we ran out of new cards. Since people are eating and playing, effort should be made to keep the games clean, or at the very least, provide hand sanitizer at each table so that guests aren't grossed out about handling dirty game pieces in between grabbing bites of their sandwich or other finger food. I just feel like even though $7 for board game play is reasonable, it felt far less justifiable after experiencing the issues I just explained. If you are going to charge people any amount to use the games, ensuring that those games are complete and sanitary seems like a reasonable expectation. Service was okay but most of the food did not even meet the okay standard. We started with mozerrela sticks, which were okay. The fries with all our meals were obviously the frozen bagged kind you can find at any grocery store. They added seasoning but it's not enough to hide the fact that you are eating frozen fries at a sit down restaurant. My husband ordered the Don't Call It Hotlanta chicken sandwich and I think that was probably the best tasting thing we all ordered. I ordered the ATLA with cheese and did not like it very much. The bread was too crispy, the cheese was cold, and the overall flavor just didn't do it for me. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese with a side of fries. It does say on the menu that it is Kraft mac and cheese. She didn't complain, but she's 12 and not too picky so no surprise there. I had a soda water, my daughter had a sprite, and my husband had two mixed drinks (I think margaritas). Our total bill including the $7 for a crappy board game experience came out to $94 before tip. It was not worth it and I would never return for dinner nor can I recommend that others consider this a worthy dinner spot. Nevertheless, it would be a cool spot to come to with a big group of friends to play the computer and video games while enjoying a few drinks and maybe an appetizer or two. I could see that being a fun experience and would be open to returning to play the video games with friends or maybe one of their event nights like trivia that sounds like a good time, but I won't come back specifically for dinner because there are far better place to get a far superior meal for that price around here. So, at the end of the day, two stars is my review for the dinner and board game experience, but it would probably be closer to a 4 for just video games and drinks or events because I don't think there is anything else like it around here. I am not 100% on pricing for the video games but I think I saw something like $20 per hour, which I think might be a little pricey. However, I am not a big gamer myself so I may not be the best judge of that.

We live in in-town Atlanta near the zoo and have done the tree top quest there many times. You can't really compare this one to that and I think most climbing/zip lining places (like we did on our last summer trip in the old city of Montreal which has a fun one) are different. I thought the price tag (around $45) was on the higher end but given the time you spend here it's definitely more reasonable than I thought at first. Even after probably 2-2.5 hours my 8 year old didn't want to leave. For the little ones, they have a smaller course which probably won't occupy them quite as long, but it's also cheaper, and he (my 5 year old) also enjoyed it as well as the trampoline in the sky ball throwing place. Skot, the manager who helped us get set up, was super nice and friendly. The staff in general were helpful here and the tutorial for how to use the harness and hooks seemed to suffice, although at times we would have liked for more people around. Part of the course being so spread out is that even on a busy holiday weekend, at times the kids were really by themselves. The thing that maybe stands out the most about this place is how independent it is. At times the kids found this frustrating but I think it inspires independence, helps build confidence, and ironically the lack of help at times maybe ends up being more of a plus. It also means that there are fewer bottle necks assuming you aren't doing the course with a big group, as there are many points where you have to wait for someone to finish the section before you go. The scale of the place also helps thinning out any sort of lines. It's important to understand that there are a series of levels and difficulties and different courses within the overall park/terrain and it's a sort of choose your own adventure situation. In this way, you can hook and unhook yourself to these different courses as you transition and walk within the space. My daughter really wanted to advance past level 3 and had gained the confidence to do so, but you have to be 12 or older for levels 4 and up. From a weight perspective with some of the course set up (and zip lines), I think this makes sense and ultimately my daughter loved it and still didn't want to leave. We saw quite a few teens there who seemed to be enjoying themselves too, but they said there were fewer zip lines and more obstacle type situations with the higher levels. I would definitely come back here and especially as my younger one gets older (I think it's 7 and older for the bigger course?) try some more of the tracks. There are also some snacks at the main ticket place where people standing by can munch. Be sure to wear closed toed shoes
