When escape rooms meet video games and intellect. This was the perfect place to go and have a great time. It felt good to be a kid again. They had so many rooms with so many different games to choose from. My advice, dress comfortable because you will move around a lot unless you like losing! The staff was nice and all of the equipment was clean and working properly. They give an hour and a half and that seems like more than enough time to have a blast. I will be back with my kids this time!!

This place is so much fun for kids and adults. The first time we went was for my son's birthday, and we all had a blast. There are a lot of game options to fit all skill levels. I couldn't wait to return when my 12 year old step son came to visit for the summer. He had such a great time. Heads up: Make a reservation ahead of time, and bring water (they don't have drinks available). They do have lockers if you need to put your things up.

This is a fantastic place to get activated! The mini games last for only a few minutes each but there are several to choose from and most of them have a couple of styles each as well. Plus they get harder as you move up in levels. It is active interaction... climbing, throwing, stepping in the right places. Dodging the lasers... it is a fully interactive gaming place. The cost is so reasonable too!! Be sure to book your spot on line at least a day ahead because times do sell out. The gaming session last for 90 mins of fun! Groups of 4-5 play at a time... if you have more than 5 you just split up into different groups. They give you a wrist tracker you use to scan in at every game and it tracks your points and levels. So each time you come back it keeps building. Tons of active fun! The kids and I had a blast! Even my 16 year old loved it! I highly suggest giving this a try... I loved it as an adult as well.

Wow what a time! Keep your group small or be willing to split up. I love that they had so many rooms and each room had different activities that you could do. There is countless hours of fun to be had. I enjoy the technology and ease of the experience. It is such a great time. My favorite was the asteroid game even though my arms were soooo tired afterwards. I did run into some trouble in two of the rooms. They were not properly registering our movement which can get frustrating. Try coming on off peak times to avoid crowds and long wait times.

This was our second time visiting Activate Atlanta. We went as a group of 14 on a Saturday afternoon around 4:00pm. We arrived and the employees at AA checked us in, provided the wristbands for the games, lockers and explained everything to us. The five stars are for the customer service at the end of our gaming experience. We took a group photo in the main lobby and my water bottle dropped, broke and water leaked all over the floor. The AA employees cleaned it up with no fuss and provided me with a new AA water bottle at no charge because mine broke. I thought this was the nicest gesture and made my day. Thank you Activate Atlanta for a wonderful experience!

I didn't not know what to expect when my boss said we were having a team building event at Activate. When we arrive the staff explained thoroughly what to do and how to maximize everything Activate had to offer. Lockers are available or to store personal items. We were escorted back to the gaming area. We turned into kids in a candy store. So many gaming options. Great for all ages. If you're competitive please do yourself a favor and go.

This was the MOST FUN PLACE ever!!! I brought my team here for some fun team building after a week at a conference. I just wanted to do something fun with them and found this. I'm not from Atlanta so I'd never heard of this place other than finding it on Yelp. So glad I did! We had so much fun for 75 full minutes. It was a group of us - 6 ladies - and I'm 41 and not crazy active but this place made me get out of comfort zone, have fun, and sweat!! When you walk in, you are immediately transported to a totally new place, like something I'd never seen before. The color grid game was where I started and it felt like I was on a game show hopping from color to color. I think what I liked the most about the experience is how you can choose team games where you work together or competitive games. Either is good but for team building sake, you really have to work together to problem solve the game and its directions as a team. So while some of the games were hard to understand, THATS THE POINT! We got so much out of this as teammates and as friends. It was a blast! My favorite games were the light puzzle game, the lasers (literally like you're on a game show - I felt like a ninja! ), and the color grid. You should know, though, that the games are ACTIVE. You will sweat. It's like a work out at a gym because you're running around for many of the games and you have a timer so you have to go fast. But if that's what the gym is like, sign me up! I mean, I think I'd prefer that to the gym and would totally go often! I am from Reno so I asked them if there was one close to me. The closest is in a state away so I asked about franchising and they said they offer this! I loved it so much that I want someone to open one in Reno!!!

So much fun! There are a lot of different games options (basketball, shooting, maze, laser, finding objects and identifying patterns, photo booth, etc.) Price was reasonable per person. The staff are friendly I really took the time to explain the house rules and how things work at Activate. They provided locker to store personal items. Honestly, this is my first time And I had a blast with my friends. Perfect venue for birthday party, special celebration, or just a simple hang out with friends.

Great time for the boys!! Definitely recommend for a fun outing for challenging group activities to play!! Looking forward to returning!!

The best place for games in ATL! Super fun and unique games. I went at 11:30 on a Sunday and it was perfect because we had about 45 minutes before more people starting coming in and lines started forming our side of the games. I recommend athleisure and leaving your jackets in the lockers because a lot of the games are a true workout and you will leave sweating. The staff is super nice and answered all questions I had on the phone and during my visit. Looking forward to going back again!

Allison P.

5 stars all the way! Our group of 5 had an amazing time!!! The check in process was extremely seamless. They provide bands and have electronic waivers. Once you're ready, there's a staffer in front of the game room who explains how everything works. Your time doesn't start until your first game. Since it was our first time, we watched the tutorials for each game. Beware, the tutorials make games look very easy. Items in the game room are harder than they appear. We were tireddddd. But it was a lot of fun and we quickly identified our favorite games (hoops, control, climb and a game where you run around hitting numbers). Dress prepared to engage in physical activity. I only wish they had a vending machine with water because whew . I love that with each scan outside of a game room, it shows the current ranking among your team. Colors change based on your position. I hope to come back!

Lots going on in here once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy staff or friendly. They'll let you know what's going on. We went in there. There was a lot of games to play time went by pretty fast. The games all have how to play on it so it explains it for you Mixed crowd when you go here.

The best new addition to the atlanta area. Perfect for date night, family fun night and more ! Activate is filled with fun , active strategy games that you can play with 2 or more players . Each room has a list of different games. You use a wristband provided by activate to tap in to each game. For $24.99 you get 75 minutes of game play. Each game has 10 levels that gets harder as you play along. Activate also provides free lockers to store your items Inside of the facility there are restrooms, free water and even a party space that can be rented . Be sure to wear active clothing as you will moving around a lot and want to be comfortable , also stay hydrated !!

Joystick Gamebar looks like it's been here a long time. There are two main areas: The bar is in the main area where people enter, and it has a many old school games that were commonly found in video game arcades from the 1970s through 1990s, and there is another big room with lots of chairs and couches, and a lot more quirky decorations scattered throughout the room. Outside food was catered, so I wasn't aware that Joystick Gamebar also sold food. The video games were fun. Although one of our directors brought lots of rolls of quarters, one of the managers made it so that all of our employees were able to play the games without inserting any quarters. This was probably a great thing for us, since I noticed most of my colleagues were really awful at playing video games. One of my favorite video games, Galaga, was available, so, after getting killed early in the game a few times, I ended up being on the high scores list! Had a fun time!

I had an idea of what this place, but wasn't exactly sure what it all entailed. We walked in and were greeted by a large shelf or should I say shelves of a bunch of different board and card games. We walked to the register and told them we wanted to play some board/card games. I believe it was $7 per hour and then $35 for everything else. Everything else means all the video/electronic games. Think PS5, Switch, PC, Xbox. It was sooooo cool seeing everyone play all the different games. There were bigger groups, couples, people by themselves. It's truly a place where anyone can go and have a good time! We got some drinks (they have a really cool cocktail menu). They do have a food menu too, but we just came from dinner, so we only got drinks. Our service wasn't the best though. It took forever for someone to come and check on us, and no one came to fill our water the entire time we were there. Service could definitely be a lot better! Battle & Brew is in a shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. It's also pretty big too, so there is plenty of seating inside. I would definitely come back here in the future and play some of the video games, as I love to play some Nintendo Switch!

They told us that we would have to show up and just wait to be seated... fine. No big deal, again we are a large group coming in HOT on the weekend... I get it. We call ahead again, closer to the time we were planning to arrive to double check. THIS TIME they said they could reserve us a space and that it wouldn't be a problem. We get there and everything is seemingly fine. The vibes are good and the waiters are taking orders diligently. We understand that this is a huge group (16 of us) and that we would have to be patient with them as they are with us. So everyone puts in there orders. First wave comes out... I noticed that all the food is cold. Not ideal but the food was good so whatever. Second wave comes out, again the food is cold and peoples orders are missing. Fine. We are a big group, it happens. 3rd wave comes and they are seemingly trying to land the plane with us, finalizing anything that may have been missed while also getting refills. One of my friends that was a part of that first wave was still waiting his burger that he ordered (he had informed them twice at this point). 45 mins later the waiter checks on us again... My friend still doesn't have his burger. Cool AGAIN this is a big group... It happens. My side of the table who got all their food are ready to play some games now. We go to the front counter and there is seemingly a good cop/bad cop routine going on. One host says we can rent a station the other says we can't unless all 16 of go to that station. I told him not everyone wants to play games so what if we just cash out now then the 4 of us that do can just play/sit at the station. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT ITS AGAINST THE POLICIES" O....kay... whatever don't take my money, I then tell him I'd like to cash out anyway. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" I can't pay you now? "THE TAB CAN ONLY BE SPLIT 5 WAYS" Huh? So not only was this not brought to our attention beforehand but you want to be a jerk about it? There reason was because some people run out on the bill and things get missed. Meanwhile the entire table is sitting here with their cards out ready to pay you? Not to mention if something is missed thats on YOU as you are the person entering the stuff into the system. Mind you we still have folks that were missing food or order was taken only for it to be sitting under a heat lamp. After some back and forth we paid (which they REFUSED to give us an itemized receipt) only for a smug waiter to come out with the missing deserts with creepy smile to literally say to us "I hope you enjoy it..." Nope. Not eating that. Matter fact we will never eat here again. This has been a yearly tradition for some Dreamhack attendees and I can wholeheartedly say that I'll NEVER step foot in here again more will anyone I associate with. If I could give it a 0 I would.

I had no idea how extensive this course was when I bought my daughter and her friend (for her…read morebirthday) a gift certificate to this place. We live in in-town Atlanta near the zoo and have done the tree top quest there many times. You can't really compare this one to that and I think most climbing/zip lining places (like we did on our last summer trip in the old city of Montreal which has a fun one) are different. I thought the price tag (around $45) was on the higher end but given the time you spend here it's definitely more reasonable than I thought at first. Even after probably 2-2.5 hours my 8 year old didn't want to leave. For the little ones, they have a smaller course which probably won't occupy them quite as long, but it's also cheaper, and he (my 5 year old) also enjoyed it as well as the trampoline in the sky ball throwing place. Skot, the manager who helped us get set up, was super nice and friendly. The staff in general were helpful here and the tutorial for how to use the harness and hooks seemed to suffice, although at times we would have liked for more people around. Part of the course being so spread out is that even on a busy holiday weekend, at times the kids were really by themselves. The thing that maybe stands out the most about this place is how independent it is. At times the kids found this frustrating but I think it inspires independence, helps build confidence, and ironically the lack of help at times maybe ends up being more of a plus. It also means that there are fewer bottle necks assuming you aren't doing the course with a big group, as there are many points where you have to wait for someone to finish the section before you go. The scale of the place also helps thinning out any sort of lines. It's important to understand that there are a series of levels and difficulties and different courses within the overall park/terrain and it's a sort of choose your own adventure situation. In this way, you can hook and unhook yourself to these different courses as you transition and walk within the space. My daughter really wanted to advance past level 3 and had gained the confidence to do so, but you have to be 12 or older for levels 4 and up. From a weight perspective with some of the course set up (and zip lines), I think this makes sense and ultimately my daughter loved it and still didn't want to leave. We saw quite a few teens there who seemed to be enjoying themselves too, but they said there were fewer zip lines and more obstacle type situations with the higher levels. I would definitely come back here and especially as my younger one gets older (I think it's 7 and older for the bigger course?) try some more of the tracks. There are also some snacks at the main ticket place where people standing by can munch. Be sure to wear closed toed shoes

They have a small lot and then some street parking. I would advise to get there early to find a spot. Registration was easy and waivers could be done online. There are portable toilets for use. Upon arrival you get a colored coded wristband. Then you go to a platform to get harnessed up and gloves are availablefor purchase $5 each. When I visited in 2023 they were provided for free. Luckily, I had noticed this change and used my gloves from before. You can wear your own gloves. I would recommend durable, garden type gloves that allow flexing and gripping of your hands. The staff harnesses you up on the platform. Next is orientation where they show you how to use the hook and zip line attachment. There's a few practice areas. Brief but detailed orientation and then you're on your own to explore. The guides don't lead the activities, you navigate them independently and are responsible for following the directions provided during orientation. No helmet provided. We opted to start at level 1 and within our 2.5 hour time frame we were able to complete levels 1, 2a, and 3. We skipped 2b and wasnt able to get to level 4. It wasn't crowded. It just takes time to get the hook over certain areas and having to help others with that kind of slows you down. But I didn't feel rushed. Every time we started a new level we we first and no one ahead to slow us down. The experience was fun. My kids loved it!!! I think people of all ages with decent health can do this activity. Its a full body workout for sure. I was drenched it sweat. Better have good knees. It was challenging as far as balance and navigating some of the obstacles. Workers are noted throughout for assistance but they're on the ground. Based on your colored armband the workers will call out your remaining time for your visit. And I wouldn't recommend if you have balance issues, get dizzy or fear of heights. They have the chickpea level for ages 4 - 6. The remaining levels they recommend for ages 7 and up. It worked out great to have my 11 year old go first then my 7 year old with me behind so the 11 year old could help in front and me behind with navigating the hooks when it got a little tricky. Even some adults need help at times. The platforms are small IMO. They said 3 people per platform but some could barely hold 2. Level 3 did have the best zip lining experience. I would definitely recommend for couples, families, solo and friends. Great team building thing to do as well. They have a concession stand that sells drinks and gifts. We had brought our water bottles and was able to drink halfway thru the adventure. They have benches and tables scattered around that you can sit at. They do birthday parties and have night time experiences. I would definitely recommend that you wear sunscreen, bug repellent, comfortable clothes and sneakers. I wore a slim fanny pack to carry my phone and keys.
