This was an amazingly fun time. Be prepared the parking is plentiful but in several different areas that then take a walk to the location. Once you get to the location the line will be long! But it moves pretty quickly. We spent about 30 mins in line. Be sure to get on line and book your time before you go!! And then get there 15 mins at least before your time... there is a line before the actual line. Then be prepared... not to be scared... I was not scared, but to be wowed! This place is super cool!! The pics don't do it justice. So many amazing things to see and this is a twisty turning maze of sights! I highly recommend the attraction. There is food, they have pictures, there are two different experiences... we did the main one and like I said it was awesome! I'd do it again... in a heart beat. This was our first trip to Netherworld so we were excited for a legit "haunted house" experience. Parking was easy enough, even with a nice sized crowd. I did enjoy how they split up the two haunted houses with a nice area in between to grab a snack and get some photos. The cast were really great and the kids had fun being chased around by them. Both sections were scary but a little too much for me. It is constant noise/jump scares so after the first 10 minutes it gets a little too repetitive. That is just me though, my kids loved it. If they had sections that weren't as loud or active it might have been better in my opinion. Overall though, no real complaints. We had a blast and would probably check it out again next year if we are in the area. read more

Whewwwww what an experience!! I was definitely scared during the main attraction. The actors did not hold back. The length of the entire first round was perfect. The clown attraction not so much. We could have saved our money on that one but the food and overall experience with my friends made it so worth it! Grab some doughnuts - they're hot and fresh! If you want a drink experience - non alcoholic of course - they have one with what looks like dry ice. Not sure if you're into it but for those that are - you can lay in a coffin for a small fee as an attraction. Oh the restrooms outside the entrance were clean! Hands down, Netherworld is my favorite haunt. The main walk-through is egregiously lengthy & elaborate, and the second one is just as terrifying though shorter. Netherworld's effects are outrageous with so much detail that I can't even compare the experience to the Orlando & Tampa theme parks' haunts. Netherworld sets the bar THAT high. And I am here to tell you that AFTER Halloween is a fantastic time to visit because it was less crowded. My friends & I first visited Netherworld in 2013, and I was thrilled to go with them again in 2019. Driving 7 hours from Tampa is a huge commitment, but Netherworld is completely worth it! Netherworld relocated after the 2017 season, but their current location seems to be perfect with plenty of space for both massive haunts and a large "midway" area with activities & photo opps galore. Plus parking is plentiful, well-lit & free. This year, in November 2022, I was excited to see that Netherworld would be open through Sat. 11/12 since we had concert tickets in Atlanta that weekend. Long story short, we left Tampa too late to go on Friday but then our Saturday night show was postponed so I was able to scare hubs at Netherworld instead. If I hadn't already known this was the last regular night of the 2022 season, the experience didn't make it obvious, aside from the very short queues. Every single scare actor was fully in character throughout both haunts as well as in the midway area. And because the crowds were minimal, I didn't feel rushed to move fast. Now that hubs has experienced Netherworld, I won't be able to attend again without him. This haunt is an addiction! Bonus that tickets post-Halloween were only $35. ETA: also this last weekend was not sold out so we were able to buy our tickets on-site when we arrived & avoided paying those extra online fees. read more

The production quality is so high! They had a great use of realistic animatronics & wax figures mixed in with scare actors. Once you go through the first house, you get to their food and drink area where there are other attractions. The staff were friendly. While only having two houses, they are quite lengthy so I definitely felt like we got our moneys worth. read more

I have been once or twice, many years before Netherworld moved to their current location. By golly I think they've gotten scarier. I mean. They are rated one of the top haunted houses. They have a boatload of animatronics and scare actors. The maze of mirrors, augmented floors, and swamp haze are new to me. The television monitors at the entrance to pace the crowd seemed new as well. They definitely now have the space and reputation built up. Know that there will be plenty of scary props and objects, both stationary and moving. The tunnels will be slightly dizzying. And the areas with the strobe and blaring lights will leave you a little disoriented. The prop setups in the middle area with all the snacks are cool to admire. Some of the booths displayed are stacked with crazy props and sound effects. There will be picture opportunities with creatures wandering about. The bubble machine creating the suds was just insane. Though it's primarily indoors, some parts will be outside. I had on a pretty thick puff jacket and ended up taking it off in the middle of the first house since it was dreadfully hot. Parking is across the street at the storage business. There will be signs and people directing traffic. I've gone to my fair share of haunted houses, and I would say if you like a good scare then this is the place to visit. I love netherworld, I believe this is my 3rd time here. I love scary and spooky things and the adrenaline that comes from it! I can see a person that's not a fan of horror absolutely hate this experience. All I can say is it is very overstimulating which adds to the scary part of it. You'll experience lots of noise, some bits of water sprayed at you, fog, jump scares (but no direct physical contact!), and a very tight space at times. The themes this year were birthday party/clowns for one and I believe zombies for the other house. I'll be coming back! read more

Well I've been to a few escape rooms but this one so far is top-notch all the way! Our theme room was Haunted. It was a collection of three rooms which I didn't understand until we got to the second room and realized there was one more room to go. We almost made it to the end. This was so much fun and I loved our GM. I would definitely go back and try other rooms but make sure you take people who are smart and not going to keep asking for clues like my sister-in-law. They even have a small scary museum for an additional $5 a person. This would be a really great place to have a party. read more

*Disclaimer #1. I do not get scared by haunted houses. It's not that I'm fearless, I've just accepted that nothing matters and we're all going to die. *Disclaimer #2. I was under the influence when visiting Netherworld. Now that we've gotten those disclaimers out of the way. I've been to three haunted houses in my life, and this was the best one. I also went on a Saturday on the last night around 10pm and it wasn't as busy. I definitely recommend a super early or late time. The first haunted house I've went to was a little too crowded and too quiet. What ends up happening is that you hear the group in front of you scream and then you expect it. This place is constantly loud, and it drowns out the screams so it kind of hides the spoilers. I think we went at a good time, so it wasn't crowded. We did let a group pass us because I think they were more scared and decided to run through it. The first house was great. It was long and it took us a while to catch up to the next group. The second house was shorter and not as scary because you go with a group. I genuinely had some trouble decided if it was a statue or a real person sometimes. The costumes were that good or the statues were very lifelike. The wacky floors threw me off. The mirror maze, fog swamp area, buzz saw blade, and spiraling tunnel were especially memorable. Read Disclaimer #2. There were plenty of free parking across the street. It just seems like a really well ran place. There's just so much to see. If I were sober, I would be really admiring the set pieces and costume designs. Would I come here again? Maybe. $30 may be a little steep for an hour worth of entertainment and the 2nd house wasn't nearly as good as the first one but I this is the best haunted house I've gone to out of the three in my life. read more

Best haunted house I have ever been to!! It is expertly crafted, with discrete haunts throughout the "house" (really a large warehouse). The actors get really close to you and there's an awesome mix of existing props and actor involvement. I was amazed at how smartly things were decorated -- not an inch bare or not thought through. They also have a 3 minute escape room (so fun!), laser tag, carnival games and food after the first haunted house (longest, 1 of 2). It's probably a solid hour plus to get through both. SO FUN. Ranked #1 in Georgia and previously one of the top 10 in the US. Worth the visit!! read more

This is not your average haunted house! 4 adults and 2 teens had tickets for 9pm on a Sunday night the first week in October. Parking is across the street in the parking lot of a storage place and they have a couple of people helping halt traffic so you you can cross. At the entrance of the line, there are 3 or 4 porta potties, so it was confusing who was in line for those versus the line for the haunted house. Once we got in the line, it snaked outside for 30 minutes, then another 20 before we actually got in the haunted house. I suspect these times will be longer on weekends and the closer you get to Halloween. There is someone right inside the first house entrance who will take a photo which can be purchased when you exit the haunted house. This place is huge! It is warehouse sized and we were in there at least 30 minutes. The path is wide enough for one person and everyone moves through it at a comfortable pace, sometimes running to get away from the scary ghouls. The movie quality effects are impressive. There have to be at least 100 actors who camouflage themselves perfectly to scare an unsuspecting (or suspecting!) soul. The sound effects and lighting are spot on and unique experiences such as someone suspended on cables above your head whizzing by and lasers which give you the impression you are in a swamp and can't see below your chest are simply phenomenal! Once you exit the first house, your experience is not over! There is a courtyard to purchase snacks and drinks, souvenir photos and a huge jack o lantern that vomits a ton of bubbles that you can walk through if you choose. There are also actors roaming this area. Stay alert as they sneak up on you and remain very still until you turn around and are startled to see one right there! I also saw a ghoul with a spade dragging it along the pavement and when taunted by someone, began chasing them! They also take cues if you point to someone in your party as an unsuspecting victim to be scared and all of the actors are in character and make for great photo pops and selfies. Before exiting there is a smaller haunted house, Jurassic Park themed where you are inside the shipping container then snake along some other scary and disturbing set ups. There are a few actors here as well. This one is over in 5-10 minutes. Beware of chainsaw guy who runs between the exits of both houses! Such a fun experience! read more

I went with my daughter, 12 years old, she was scared going in. We walked around the first corner of the haunted house, and there was a loud noise, and it caused her to basically freeze in place. She was terrified and worried about the volume of the effects. We walked out and they were very nice to help us find the fastest way to the exit. However, we ran into one of the managers who was so nice. I can't express how inviting and wonderful he was to us. He talked to my daughter and told her about his daughter and how she was scared as well, but when she went through it the first time she wanted to keep going through. Then they offered us earplugs, and one of the cast members had to go and actually get them for her. She put them in after they showed her how they worked and we re-entered the attraction. We had a wonderful time going through the haunted house. The haunted house is amazing, but I can't express how even more amazing the people that run the event or. Been going for a number of years and these guys continue to show why they are America's number one haunted house. This year they are doing a great job of ensuring social distancing while everyone continues to have a great time. I was very impressed that every time there was a handrail, there would hand sanitizer at the end of the rail. They had visible staff throughout monitoring and encouraging groups to keep apart 6 feet. I'll keep this short. They don't offer refunds or date changes on tickets. A poor business practice on their part. There was a medical emergency on Friday. We had tickets for Tuesday night. Plenty of time to request a refund or date change, right? Wrong. Needed at least a week to recover from said emergency...doctor's orders. These netherworld folks weren't hearing it. They chose GREED over customer service. I've never been to this place and will probably never go...especially now. Even the most expensive and elaborate places in California have refunds and date changes. Why? Cause $h*t happens...and most respectable and unrespectable establishments understand that. Most establishments choose customer service over GREED. Well, most of the places I've been to at least...with advance notice of course. Which we had in this case...five days. Five... They made us park in the furthest parking lot and walk the longest way in parking lot yellow. signs were bad. Everyone assumed we could park in the lot across the street . This was my first time going to the new location. I had been to the Jimmy Carter location multiple times, but I preferred this one! There is much more room for parking, and although there is traffic, it's not nearly as bad as Jimmy Carter was!! I love that the parking was free and there were no issues finding parking. There were people out directing traffic and making sure you safely crossed the street. I did pay extra for the speed pass, which ultimately paid off because there was no wait at all. I will say they kind of move people through like an assembly line, although it's better than it used to be now that there are timed tickets with limits. It would be much better if there were more significant gaps between the groups. It's hard to enjoy it or get scared when you see all the people in front of you, so you know what's coming or there are people at your heels. There are tons of things to look at, so it's definitely a sensory overload. Some rooms make you feel like you are spinning, and there's fog, black lights, strobe lights, and a little of everything. I love that they added a concession area and gift shop. There are a lot of photo ops in the concession area along with a bubble area for the kids. It's a great experience but there's still room for improvements on the capacity levels and adding adult options (bar). read more

I absolutely love the new location....This was my first time back since they moved from Jimmy Carter Blvd. I loved the way the first haunted house exits into a huge rest area with picnic tables, places to eat and get drinks, and gift shops. Absolutely loved how they took their iconic pumpkin that only use to light up and added a bubble machine to it.....Hopefully next year the pumpkin will be lit up and have bubbles coming out of its mouth. I'm not one for haunted houses, but I LOVED NETHERWORLD! It was truly an extraordinary experience. This is not your average 'haunted house' with crappy stuff put everywhere with dusty skeletons popping out every so often. Netherworld is a state-of-the-art experience. I felt like I was in the middle of the most epic and realistic-looking scary movie set. Everything is so elaborate and so well done. I believe you have to go more than twice to truly take in every corner of the haunted house (which, by the way, is ginormous). I was amazed at how great the actors were able to scare me yet not touch me once-literally professional scarers (who knew that was a job!) there are also other activities and food and beverage that gives you a true feeling of fun in the midst of all the ghoulishness. Even the parking was easy with parking attendants helping and guiding traffic! I can't recommend it enough, and I'm so proud of everyone involved for creating such a collaborative masterpiece. read more

I wasn't expecting this to be so "edgy!" We went last night (Monday.) The parking situation could be handled better. We had to unnecessarily drive in circles, to get to a parking dpot. The road guards, did their best. It wasn't too busy. When we arrived to the attraction, we had to wait in line for about 20 minutes to get in. While we were waiting, there were people dressed in extravagant costumes. There was a Medusa, Big foot, and a witch ust to name a few. They really played their parts! We were all talking about how we were not going to be scared. We were talking like we were so tough. I beg to differ. We all were wimps. There were no picture taking allowed inside. When we got into the first door, we knew that this was going to be something special. The effects were great! There were animatronic snakes, witches, dead people etc. When we got inside, there were many heart pounding scares. People jumping out at you, optical illusions, aliens, chainsaw people, you name it, it was there! When we finished going through two of the haunted houses, we were exhausted! All of that screaming and yelling took its toll. They did have two food concessions there. One for donuts and the other for hot dogs and chilli cheese nachos. There was a concession where you can purchase pictures that was taken of you, too. This was a fun night out! Wasn't expecting such a well thought out haunted houses. Since I've never been to a haunted house before, I truly had no expectations. Price: The tickets were not bad. We paid $80.20 for 2 people (timed entry, not speed pass) after taxes and service fees. I'm not sure about the escape room, laser tag or any other prices on the property. Wait Time: My group purchased timed entry tickets from 9 PM to 9:30 PM. We got there a few minutes before 9 (approximately 8:53pm). Once we arrived, we went to the line area for our timed entry. At exactly 9 pm, our line began moving towards the haunted house. At exactly 9:30pm, we were entering the haunted house. The wait was not bad. Once you step foot on the property, the monsters are walking around scaring you, taking pictures with people and enjoying the vibes. It's very interactive. The Haunted House Experience: I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!! I would do it again! People need to experience this! Once we entered the house, you could feel the spooky vibe! It was so scary I payed for both haunts however only finished one because it was too scary for me to handle and I was too scared to do the second one. I know i wasted my money but it is so worth it to go. The actors really do a great job and they kept tormenting me because I was the weakest in the group lol. My favorite part was the huge dinosaur that looks like it's about to eat you. Here's what I wanted to know before I went. Parking is FREE!! Bring snacks and water!! Im 29 and I went with 12 year old kids who really wanted to go. We got the 8pm entry ticket thinking that I can get in line and be out of the haunted house and on my way home by 9 ....but no, this was the LONGEST haunted house experience I've ever had. One hour in line outside, 30 minutes of haunted house horror and then traffic getting out parking lot adds up. It was a school night too oops my mistake for not checking. The long line was only fun because of the occasional scary actors walking by and the build up of anticipation. (7:45 arrival, 8:00-9 in line, 30 min haunt and an hour home for us is 10:30, traffic 30 min = 11:00) plus calming bedtime routine so sleep around 12am We were in line it seemed HALF full based on the half empty line maze behind the crowd. Inside the haunted house we experienced, visual effects like laser lights, smoke, creepy stuff everywhere, moving things, physical effects like the ground changing inclines or textures, like bridges and you could feel cold air spots, wet mist blown in areas, super hot spots too that really made us get extra adrenaline to want to get out. I just have a few scratches on my arm and hand from someone's wild child (strong lil preteen too) who liked pushing and pulling on my vest and backpack which had me slam against a rougher textured wall... But anyway, after being FORCED to wear a mask ONLY at the very end for inside the gift shop, I got a nice souvenir magnet and the kids got matching black cups with lids and a scary image on it to bring to school. I want my grown sisters, my mom, dad, friends and even foes to all go to netherworld. People travel to go there and I see why! Next time I will try the food cause there was no fast food open in the area on Halloween night. Not even McDonalds at 10:15pm smh. DO NOT BRING LITTLE KIDS that's just mean they don't understand that it's safe and for fun They will be traumatized. Here's why I only gave it two stars... I loved the props, the scares, the makeup, the special effects! Everything was 120% over the top and huge. But... when you walk thru a haunted house in a single filed line, with over 200 people ... you have zero time to enjoy the scares. You hear the person five feet in front of you, so you expect to be spooked. The person behind you has kids and they are rushing you to keep moving forward. You only have less than a second to take in the detail before you're shuffled to the next attraction. This lost the point of a haunted house for me. I felt like I was just walking through a party city Halloween instead of a haunted house. It needs to be private or at least give a few mins between each group. I paid $55 (for the speed pass) for a group of five. Disappointing. But I will give it two stars because you can see this took a lot of time to construct. read more

Netherworld was my first haunted house experience in my life! I got tickets for Primal Scream and Mr. Grendel's Fun House of Horrors. Parking was for free that night! I definitely have to say that I had so much fun. The special effects are fascinating. It feels like you're in a horror movie. I would recommend to buy the speed pass because the line it's usually long. Something I also loved is that you get to explore the main houses, but also there's characters walking around so you can take pictures and interact with them. There are two haunted houses: Blood Night and Zombie Rampage. I recommend buying tickets online and coming on a weeknight to avoid long lines. I went on a Friday night and the lines were ridiculously long. The lines were fluid, though, because they lead directly into the haunted houses where the crowds went from room to room as one long continuous line. It would be a lot more fun (and scary) if you are able to go into each haunted house with your own group of friends, which is why going on a weeknight is recommended. Buy the combo tickets so you can see both haunted houses. Look for discounts online. If you are a Comcast cable TV subscriber, Comcast will send to your cable box a promo code to use online each year. For 2011, it's "HauntedX." Blood Night takes a lot longer to walk through than Zombie Rampage. If you go to only one, choose Blood Night. The props and costumes are top-notch and pretty impressive. I loved the first haunt but the second 3D haunt was great too! For anyone who loves collecting souvenirs: We didn't bring masks with us and the only way to get into the gift shop is if you buy a mask (I think $5 each) so we skipped that this time around. read more
