You can also bring your own. The place itself is old and in need of some renovations like updated carpeting. The skate floor itself is great and large. There are lockers to rent for a quarter, but we didn't feel we even needed them. There is a huge list of rules, but they weren't so strict with the cut off sleeves (it was midsummer) but they do not allow hats on the floor. Customer service could stand to be a little friendlier, but overall no one was rude. The locker attendants just don't respond. Could also get a Dj to really bring this place to life. They had music, but the entire song would end before the next one started which dropped the mood. For $5 though, I find it hard to complain and we will definitely be back.

We were there for 4 hours and there was a steady flow of people of all ages the whole time. The staff is very friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. There was also a DJ that got there around 5 and he was great too! He was willing to play songs that we suggested even though he had his own mix to play. They also played tag a few times and a couple of employees hopped into the game too, it was great! The staff were also very interactive with the kids. While skating, I noticed that it looked like a piece of the skate was missing and when showing it to an employee he immediately had me take them off and provided me with a new pair--no questions asked. The facility was clean and well organized, it included a skate rink, arcade, jungle gym, food, and laser tag-- I will definitely return. Just a heads up, you have to pay admission and show rental separately, but they have a lot of events and deals. For me and my siblings, it totaled to about $44.

We looked up different places and Have An Ice Day had the best online presence, and was geographically attractive for all parties in attendance. Conveniently located in downtown Sugar Hill, we had no issues finding parking and making the short walk over to the ice skating area. We waited in a very short line and were able to make payment and immediately obtain our ice skates. We didn't have to travel far to swap our feet out of our shoes for the ice skates, and we were steps away from the rink. There was plenty of seating all around for those who would rather watch than brave the ice. The area was clean and hand sanitizer was strategically placed and never far away. The rink itself was well kept and easy to glide across. There were many families and all were grooving to the music. When we needed to take a well deserved break, we decided to order snacks from the concession area. The snacks were affordable and the folks were very friendly. We stayed for several hours and while there were many people there, we felt it was never overcrowded. When we finally finished, we returned our skates and headed up the stairs in the amphitheater area of downtown Sugar Hill to grab dinner. We made lots of memories and took plenty of great pictures. So recommend arriving late afternoon if possible on the weekend! On site, they have a concession stand in which the kids enjoyed the hot chocolate to warm up! They also had nachos, chips,etc. The rink is well maintained and smooth, which I appreciate! The staff took 30min break removing all skaters while they maintained the rink and we were able to return after. Staff was attentive and skated around to help those that fell! Only dislike is the the skate trainers they offer which was metal, low and not too supportive for my little one! We'll definitely be back! Had a great time!

We have been coming to Hot Wheels for years and previously had great experiences. We've held…read morebirthday parties here and, despite living much closer to Sparkles, have chosen to drive farther to Hot Wheels. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was very different. Our son feels more comfortable skating with a Skate Mate and has always been allowed to use one throughout the rink on previous visits. This time, after completing about one lap, an employee told him he could only use it in the small middle section. When we questioned this, we were told this had always been the rule and had always been enforced, which does not match our previous experiences. We could not find this restriction disclosed on their website. In fact, if you look through the photos posted with their Google reviews, the photos we saw show children using Skate Mates on the full rink, exactly as our son had been allowed to do on previous visits. The employees were rude and unhelpful when we tried to address the situation. They were also very reluctant to provide the owner's name, initially providing only his first name, and would not provide any contact information other than directing us to the website. We emailed the owner via the website to request a refund but received no response. For parents considering a birthday party here, keep in mind that based on what we were told, any birthday child or guests who use a Skate Mate will only be able to use the small middle section rather than the full rink. Sparkles in Kennesaw allows children using skate helpers to use the main rink. I wish we had known about this restriction before paying, as we would have gone elsewhere.
