We had our daughter's 9th Birthday party here a week ago! We loved the atmosphere of the place. The young lady that helped with the experiments Was extremely friendly, and patient with all the kids. I only wish I remembered her name, my youngest daughter kept calling her Science . The party room after the experiments is a decent size. At the end of party they told us to leave everything and they would do the cleaning, which is a huge plus when you're ready to go home. Definitely recommend this place for birthdays, and even just walk in labs. We will definitely be taking our kids back here soon!

We had such a great time and Michael was super helpful! We will definitely be back to try other activities next time! I think the slime making cost could be a little better priced so that it feels like you get the value for your money, but all in all we had a great time!

Set up for "chemical lab"

We had a mobile birthday party for our 9 yr old and they had a blast with all the cool science experiment stuff! There were many options to choose from based on your kids liking and we did the slime and bath bombs one. They got all the supplies, the instructor made it fun for the kids but also made sure they stayed on time. I loved the option of at home party specially given CoVID concerns. The lab called ahead of time to clarify details and also on day of party. My daughter and our guests had a good time with Funtastik lab!

I can't believe they charged me 25 bucks for this. Where do I begin? I was expecting a "guided tour" type of experience, such as there would be employees performing experiments or doing a demonstration and having the kids either help or follow along. This is a room with some tables and virtually no help from the workers--not that they didn't care, but it's literally designed that way. You guide yourself through the experiments with the help of a tablet! It's horrible! The interface is not user friendly and I had issues with the volume the entire time. It's about as bad as expecting a great TED talk but getting a limp powerpoint instead. They just give you the tablet and wish you luck. Now, the "experiments"....what a joke! Half of America did this stuff during the early part of the pandemic! The first station (ones you pick yourself before knowing what the end result will be) was setting up five cups and adding a variety of additives like boric acid and baking soda and stirring them with vinegar and the big finish was dipping litmus paper in the solutions to see that the different acidity levels cause the strips to be different colors. Really? Ridiculous. So the next station was making slime. Sounds cool right? Well they apparently ran out of the appropriate size cups to mix the mixture in and it was overflowing and impossible to get blended correctly. FAIL. The next station was about the vortex. Cool principle, but get this. They literally used two 2-liter pepsi bottles and a two dollar plastic connector and let you swirl some water around. For real? They can see something this exciting in the bathtub! After this my kid was pretty crestfallen at the epic lameness of the day and was ready to go. DO NOT waste your money going to this place. You can watch youtube and go to the dollar store and be exponentially more entertained.

They have simple task like make your own airplane and experiment with aerodynamics through wind tunnels and airflow. Hands on gravity, motion and momentum zones, and innovative activities like designing your own game controller! Climbing structures integrated throughout encourage physical play (and yes some energy burn)! Outdoors children manipulate the direction and flow of water in interactive water tables and engineering principles. Beyond exhibits, there are amenities like food court, bookstore, and gift shop. My only critique is in the ticket purchase. If you buy at the kiosk and not counter (24" away) you save $2 BUT then the kiosk charges you $1.62 processing fee so big whoop on the .38 cent savings. The kiosk only makes sense when purchasing multiple tickets but is still something for the business to take a look at. Overall, awesome space! Plan to stay several hours to enjoy all the offerings.

The holiday features were a big plus -- the snow playground was a fun seasonal surprise, and seeing Elsa, Anna, and Olaf with a Frozen sing-along and meet-and-greet made the visit extra special for younger kids. That said, the experience would have been much better with stronger upkeep. Many of the electronic exhibits were not working, unplugged, or appeared damaged, which was disappointing for kids who were eager to interact. The museum was also very crowded, making it hard to spend quality time at some of the most popular exhibits. Overall, it's a solid outing and we still enjoyed ourselves, but improved maintenance and functionality of the interactive exhibits would really elevate the experience.

4 stars? Let me tell you why…read more We've been visiting The Woodlands Children's Museum regularly for the past couple of years, and overall it's been a solid experience for younger kids. It's a well-managed space that's clearly designed for structured, imaginative play rather than chaos. If you know what to expect, it can be a great outing. Pros: * The location right off The Woodlands Parkway makes it easy to get to without going far out of the way. * The museum is the perfect size--big enough to keep kids engaged, but not overwhelming for parents or little ones. * They host multiple events throughout the month, which helps keep things interesting beyond a standard visit. * Being able to host birthday parties here is a big plus and very convenient. * Pricing feels fair for what's offered, especially compared to larger, more crowded children's attractions. Cons: * The layout doesn't change very often; in two years, I've only seen one noticeable update, which can make repeat visits feel a bit repetitive. * Parking can be frustrating since the lot is shared with a large gym, especially during peak hours. * The shopping center itself is pretty outdated and could really use a remodel, which affects the overall experience. * This is not the place for very hyper kids who need to run freely--everything is more controlled and calm. * There are no concessions, and outside food or drinks aren't allowed, which can be inconvenient for longer visits. Overall, this museum is a great option for younger children who enjoy hands-on, imaginative play in a calm environment. It's affordable, well-located, and thoughtfully run, but best suited for kids who do well with structure. We'll continue to visit, just not expecting major changes each time.

Play Street Museum - The Woodlands

We've only been here one so far, but we really liked it…read more Specifically, we came because we were in the woodlands area for my daughter's birthday and so we thought it would be fun for her to play somewhere while there. I usually buy The Woodlands Children Museum membership with her birthday money, but we wanted to try someplace new. They do not have a membership, but they do have a punch card, which I thought I would consider purchasing for her birthday gift if she liked the place. My favorite thing about here is that they have age limits and they don't charge if you're over the age limit or younger than the age limit. This was perfect because although I had my older daughter with me, she sat in the corner on her phone the entire time so I would have been more annoyed if I had to pay for her. My son, who also aged out, came in later and played for a couple of minutes with his younger sister, but was ready to leave and get snacks quickly. So I am happy that I would not have to pay for the children that don't actually enjoy being there and have to come with their siblings haha. I wish the woodland's children museum, including others, would adopt that philosophy. Having said that, the videos that I saw online made it seem like it was a larger place than it is. It's probably around less than half the size of the woodlands children museum. They mostly just had everyday toys over there and tiny little rooms that I couldn't really maneuver with my stroller. I was surprised to see that they got busy pretty quick. I would expect a location to be larger if they had more patrons coming. I will have to say, I wish they had a couch or nice seating for the adults who were all pretty much just standing around or following their children. My daughter was able to do the slime for her birthday and I purchased another slime for my older daughter to do which was the only thing that she actually liked ( the older one I mean... the younger one had fun with everything). I will have to say, the girl who was working there, I wanna say that her name was Callie or something (sorry I forgot), was very helpful and made the slime fun for my daughter. She let my daughters choose the different colors and the sprinkles that went in. As long as my children enjoy it, that's literally all I care about. So even though I thought it was pretty small, and wish they had better seating, I will be coming back.

It appeared there was only one person working, and she could have used a little help. Nevertheless, she did a good job, and was helpful and friendly. It would be nice if there was just a little more room. But that didn't stop the kids from having a good time. The different areas were all a big hit, such as the food truck, the office, the vet area to name a few. The kids moved from one area to another with no issues and enjoyed them all.

Members can use their pass at either location. This location is actually ironically located in a fairly simplistic brick building that used to house a prison of all things. Parking is free. Inside there are just a few exhibits including life science, hall of technology, a special salt exhibit, hall of paleontology, space hall, and a few other exhibits that required a special extra fee like a dig pit. The exhibits are somewhat small but almost all have an interactive component which can be great for small kids. Part of our event included a very short tour of the second floor and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. I work in a very different type of industry so this was really refreshing to see. They do have private meeting rooms that can be reserved which made it easy to have some meeting events in addition to time to wonder the exhibits. Overall, I enjoyed the day and glad that I got the opportunity to "be a kid again." If you're in the area it's definitely worth checking out. If you're far away however, I am not sure that I would make a special drive.

The museum has a parking garage that is convenient but fills up quickly. The cost is a $30 flat rate and the spaces are tight, so reverse parking is key. General admission, planetarium, butterfly exhibit, and special exhibits are all individually priced. We spent $226 for a family of four to see two special exhibits (including general admission + parking). The Terracotta exhibit was smaller than we hoped -- more smaller artifacts and limited interactive elements and terracotta warriors on display. The King Tut exhibit was more memorable-- more immersive, better videos, and a clear narrative about his life, death, and discovery. Food is the biggest drawback. The Element Grill closes at 3pm, so late-day visitors are left with pre-made café items from the Periodic Table next door. This included cold cut sandwiches, burgers/hot dogs sitting under warmers, canned soda and bags of chips at a premium price. Recommend to visit the HMNS on a Tuesday 5-8pm for free general admission or consider a membership to save on costs. Plan ahead and eat beforehand or bring food and enjoy a nice picnic across the street!

It is one of those places that can easily be a one and done. There is discounted weekday price starting at $19 for kids 3-12. Something tells me the $19 is if you buy it in advance. Meaning, not the day of. I paid $25 for the kids and $29 for myself online. The photo opps are what you make of it. Like for instance I've been to places where you press a button and the confetti drops down. For this, you have to actually throw the confetti up yourself. Good luck trying to figure this out with kids if you're looking for a good photo. They were also a bit underwhelmed with it. They loved the music room, the light bright room, and the balloon room. The goodies. It was cute. I'm trying bit to give the whole experience away if you are interested in going. It is best to pay for the ice cream online as it is a bit cheaper but not by much. Those cones were cute and delicious. I purchased the photo package. It really isn't necessary as you get to download the photos from a QR code you use when snapping the pics. There is a small parking lot near to it. If you wait for the group before you to leave then you can get a spot without an issue.
