We attended Briscoe Manor's open house in January 2026, which was a showcase of vendors that are familiar with the venue and samples from their in-house catering. It was a fantastic open house. Their in-house catering had short rib wellington bites being walked around, and the buffet sampler spread included a meat and cheese charcuterie board, hummus dip, French onion dip with bread, roasted vegetables, elotes, shrimp cocktails, and deviled eggs. A few hot plates available were the butternut squash rigatoni, crab asparagus, pork belly, and meat loaf. I would say my favorites were the crab asparagus and the short rib Wellington bites. The venue itself is quite beautiful. The dance floor is a bit small and is raised, so some care should be taken for mixing too much alcohol into that. A string quartet with pop music was playing and the acoustics were very nice in the main reception hall. The team seemed very friendly and the church was steps away from the reception hall (walk outside briefly, but it's entirely covered in case of rain).

They have gps touch screens on their golf carts so no need to drain your cell phone or Apple Watch. The screens can be connected to your cell through Bluetooth so you can play your own music through the onboard speakers. Just an awesome touch of service! The course was perfect for my level of play "not quite pro" (read: amateur.) Many of the other players were much more seasoned in this sport and they enjoyed the course too. We also can't thank our coordinator Stephani enough for such a seamless and beautiful wedding. We both have been beaming and on cloud 9 since then. So many people in our bridal party kept commenting how "awesome your coordinator is! WOW She's on top of it!" And I attribute that to why I was able to enjoy the night as thoroughly as I was. Clothing, shoes, bags, home decor, candles, gourmet snacks, Brookwood Community handmade items, a whole western hat and boot section, and so much more! They even have a local artist gallery with high end artwork and sculptures. One of a king beautiful piece! I like that the items were rare-ish finds. These are not items you will find at regular stores. They are more boutique type items. We also shopped in the beautiful garden. I purchased a lovely Bougainvillea for only $25.00. A regular store near me would have sold the same plant for at least $35.00. The ladies in the store are super helpful. I am glad they aren't close to my home because living nearby could be dangerous on my wallet. Even though prices are good, I wanted to buy everything in the store!

Purchased three groupons for my sister birthday the day of her birthday. We were late due to…read moretraffic, rain and not being from the Katy area. Michelle our instructor was understanding in these matters and she jugged both the students who were their on time, who were 15 mins into their paintings and my family who were settling in. Michelle got us up to speed within 10 mins of our arrival. The example painting was very intimidating for first timers, but Michelle dissected each section of the example painting with efficiency but realistic tips and tricks. She was super helpful in aiding us with aspects that were to scary to attempt on our own. Their was a 5 minute break were you could sip and snack, but we mostly kept painting because it fun and relaxing. Top 40 hits was playing in the background which allow me to relax even more, and sing lowly the lyrics. Overall we had a blast. Recommendations: wear clothes you can get paint on, you have an apron, but things happen. Have a small bag with you, big hand bags take up space under the table. If you have a Groupon deal, print it before you come. Bring a small sitting pillow, the old backside gets numb when you sit for 2 hours on small plastic stool. Its a unisex restroom, go easy on the liquids. Have a protective cloth and space in your car for transport of your masterpiece after. All in all we had a grand time.
