We got an endless number of compliments on our choice of wedding venue- Agave Estates is one of the most beautiful settings I've seen in Houston. Especially at night! We also can't thank our coordinator Stephani enough for such a seamless and beautiful wedding. We both have been beaming and on cloud 9 since then. So many people in our bridal party kept commenting how "awesome your coordinator is! WOW She's on top of it!" And I attribute that to why I was able to enjoy the night as thoroughly as I was. Stephani truly is A+++ at her job. She made us both feel so taken care of and brought items (vases/signs) from her own personal arsenal to enhance our special day. Agave Estates was the perfect venue for our wedding. The Spanish style decor made it one of a kind and very little extra was needed because the venue is stunning as is! The walls were high enough to keep out any outside noise from the nearby road. Once inside, you feel like you are in another place that has no outside sounds. We were worried about hearing cars on the road or the construction, but the walls were perfect and keeping the noise out even for our outdoor ceremony. We did the all inclusive package and we have no regrets! We had so many compliments on our wedding and how beautiful it all was and that is all because of Julie Polk, our Coordinator, and the wonderful staff at Agave. Julie made our experience so easy and she allowed us to relax and enjoy the day! She was absolutely fantastic, and I can't say enough about her! She made our day beautiful and stress free! I don't know many brides who can say that! And she had to deal with two brides for our wedding. She did so with grace, patience and understanding. And we loved her for that! She is wonderful in taking our ideas and providing us with guidance on our vision for the wedding and making it happen! Elaine Johnston did our stunning flowers and mantle pieces! I would recommend her for ANY event that you need flowers for!! Cakes by Gina made the most delicious and beautiful cake and cupcakes! Ivan Rojas was our amazing DJ and MC for the night and kept the dance floor full! He was so helpful in our request and accommodations needed!! We already want to through another big party, just to hire him again!! PJ Daranikone was our photographer and videographer and we can't wait to see our pictures and videos! He was so fun and easy to work with! I am so glad we got to work with him!! Two Forks Catering made the most delicious plated dinner for our guest and even provided a special meal just for Sandy and me during our dinner! My husband and I just got married here on 04/06/23. Let me just say I have been in love with this venue since I was a little girl even though I had only seen pictures. When we finally visited while shopping for venues the pictures didn't compare. The venue is so gorgeous as is! It's like stepping having a destination wedding without having to leave the country. Absolutely immaculate! And as a bride I can't tell you how nice it it was to have so many compliments on our venue when I did the bare minimum since this venue hardly needs anything to be added. It was a huge time and money savor not having to spend thousands of dollars make the venue look nice cause it already does! The food was also amazing! Most people complain about the wedding food BUT we could not stop getting enough compliments about it! As beautiful as the venue is, the real gem of our wedding day was our coordinator Stephani. She did everything from helping decorate the venue, ironing out ALL the details that I had not even thought of, and even bustling my gown. She carried my train as I walked around the venue, and made sure we actually sat down to eat and packed us meals to go as well. She is the most incredible person and I can't say how much having someone who was on my side as a bride, making sure I was listened to and managed anything that was thrown her way with grace. Unfortunately it poured down rain on our wedding day but I know that if Stephani had the power to stop the rain with a clap of her hands then she would have. She even took pictures on her phone of my bridal party walking down the aisle so that we could have them instead of waiting WEEKS for a photographer to send them. She really went above and beyond to ensure that our day was not only special but that we also had time to ourselves to really bask in everything regardless of the hustle and bustle. My sister recently had her wedding here on February 20th and everything was magical! Stephani, her wedding coordinator was absolutely so helpful and professional. She's literally godsend and so sweet. She made sure everything went smoothly and took care of all the details so my sister wouldn't have to worry about anything. The DJ, Ivan made sure the guests were having a great time and made smooth transitions when the bridal party entered. The bartender (forgot her name) was efficient and FAST with the drinks, thank you!!The venue itself is very whimsical with a romantic Spanish theme to it. I've put off doing this review because it was a very bad experience for us and that's due to the way we were treated by the owner himself and his floor manager. First off, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous no denying! Secondly, the service was horrendous, the food overly salty, and the cockroach on the wall was part of the art I guess! That's all I'm going to say because otherwise this will be a very very negative review and it will take too much to relay my experience that night. I was here for a financial event put on by my Wealth Manager. The venue itself is amazing. It has several areas for different staging areas and is full of locations for a unique photo op. It was an open bar event with a buffet the night I was there.The food was very good and the servers attentive. I would think that this would be an excellent venue for a wedding also. I can't rave enough about this venue and the events coordinator. My niece had her quinceañera there this past weekend and everything was done to perfection. Julie the event coordinator was courteous, dealt with us professionally, quick to respond to any demand, and extremely helpful in suggesting photo ops. The staff working the event rendered the best customer service I have seen, true professionals. There is also much to say about the venue itself, such beautiful and elegant architecture. The grounds were kept pristine, right before the event someone came to clean the pool (there were leaves in the water from the high winds). My husband and I absolutely love working with the team at Agave! Everyone was courteous, accommodating, and professional. We worked with Lindsey and Alli was our event coordinator. They were both quick at responding to our emails (within 24 hours). She had extremely flexible in making accommodations to meet our expectations and last minute emergency changes. I did a centerpiece set up at this location for my friend's company; Feathers By Angel and I couldn't give them more accolades about the beauty of this place or the friendliness of the staff. The courtyard is a beautiful Spanish style complete with tiki torches and fire pits. They have a gorgeous area that can accommodate a ceremony outdoors. They have ample parking in a garden estate style parking area. The bathrooms are large and complete with a huge mirror for guests to freshen up. The venue is perfectly spaced with a centered dance floor surrounded by tables that allow for a perfect wedding set up. The interior space is very classy but, without being pretentious. The gal that directed us where to set up leant us a cart to make our move in easier and a pitcher to put the filler in the vases since we forgot one. I love a nice and accommodating venue. She also kept coming by to check on us and ask us if we needed anything or she could give us a cold beverage. We set up our centerpieces and loaded our items back out to the car and checked in with the venue to confirm the load out time. We came back at the end of the event to tear down and pack up and they graciously offered us the same cart to load out our items. The gal also made sure she came up and told us how nice it was to work with us and how much everyone loves our centerpieces. I only worked with them for the day but, they took so much care and customer service time with us, I can only imagine how much attention they give to their clients. I really enjoyed working here and this place is top notch in every facet of the word. I am in the process of looking at venues and I came upon Agave and from the internet it looked beautiful.... now the place is nice but I think that they are a little to overpriced for what they offer... its small and you have to do the ceremony outside if not then they do the ceremony inside where the reception will take place. The only colors of linen they offer is white, black, or ivory and their menu consists of bbq or fajitas... which I guess for someone to do a country wedding its perfect but I would never pay that price for a small venue. read more

I used Agave Estates services on April 9th, 2016. From the moment I first stepped into the place it felt like it was something special as if I stepped into a different world. Everyone that was a part of making my big day come to a reality was amazing. Starting with Jess who gave me the first tour of the venue. She was very nice and took her time taking me from room to room and later answering all my questions and getting my contract ready. Amanda B. and Brittney W. did an amazing job with the invitations, they were included in the package and were to die for. Many of my guests made a comment of how beautiful they were and even my maid of honor will use them to make hers when she gets married this coming march. The photo booth pictures came out great as well and all my guests had so much fun with the many different props the provide. I didn't get to enjoy it much because the night went by so fast my groom and I actually forgot to and take a pic together lol. Tawnya has such a special gift with her floral arrangements, she lit up the place with the flowers and our ceremony was held at a church and her delivery team was on point. "P" one of the delivery people was very helpful and sweet at all times. Amanda Harris was my assigned wedding coordinator, she was very helpful and made sure that my day went of as flawless as it was possible. I was able to always reach her when I had a question or needed to change something. She worked with me to help me set up all the extra little things I brought so I could personalize the entrance and through out the night she was everywhere fixing everything so that I wouldn't have to worry about a thing other than having fun. Ivan hit it out of the park with the music! He had everyone dancing. Granted my side is Cuban so they dance even in their sleep but my grooms side is Vietnamese not much dancing there. That night everyone was in the dance floor having a great time. Food was catered by Cordua and it was delicious!!!!! Now of course there were things that didn't go right but that's life, not everything will come out perfectly as planned specially your wedding day! So my advice to brides is have fun and let go give control to someone else and I strongly recommend Agave Estates they did an awesome job and our night was the most amazing night we are still giddy about it! read more

This is a cute place to have a reception, which is why I came here! The outdoor area is great to have cocktails before the official reception begins. It has lovely stone walkways and great plants that really make you feel like you're in a country villa. I had my wedding here in February and everything for the most part went off without a hitch. My coordinator, Jessica was AMAZING. This place is great b/c it's pretty much all inclusive, with the exception of photography. Invitations: Amanda is insanely good and extremely sweet. When I was nearly having a bridal melt down she gave me a hug and a talk which is exactly what I needed. The invitations are included as well and were A LOT nicer than I expected. DJ: Ivan was included and he was much better than I expected. I bought glowsticks and he handed them out at the perfect time (idea of my coordinator). We really had a party that night! Floral: Not included, but they basically have a florist right down the street. Our package came w/ a credit which I used and then some. The florist Tawyna is really good! She's super sweet and nice and REALLY feels passionate about floral. My bouquet was insane! I told her I wanted purple and green (my colors) bouquet, but I want it to be darker than normal. I told her think Twiliight/Vampire with more romance and she actually understood what I meant :) Food: The food was pretty good. They have 3 catering options included, which is where a majority of the money is in of course. It was buffet style, which I'm not a fan of, but it wasn't that bad. Photo Booth: It's included!!!! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that I STRONGLY recommend Agave provide some sort of outdoor heaters for guests in the winter time. I was standing in front of the fireplace as I got married which helped (a little) but I probably gave my guests pneumonia since the ceremony was held outdoors :) Other than that it was great! Note: Patio Lights aren't included (don't understand why). They almost always have them up, and if you don't pay for it they have to make an effort to take them down. read more

With so many wedding venues to choose from in Houston, finding the Agave Estates may seem like a bit of a stretch, with it being tucked away in quite plain sight just off of I-10 and FM 1463. Many of my recent reviews have covered other venues, florists, cake designers, and other wedding vendors, because one of my best friends was recently planning her wedding. I've often alluded to the awe-inspiring venue that we chose over all the rest, and here it is: Agave Road in the Agave Estates. From the exterior inward, this venue is just beautiful! It has a very Latin-looking exterior, like an expensive villa or mansion you'd see on a mountainside in Spain. On the inside, there are tree branches that reach the ceiling, complete with wood floors and rustic decor. While most people apparently get married at the furnace at the front of the venue, my friend had her ceremony on the back patio, which is complete with a hill (or stage) and spacious lawn to setup seating. Apparently she was the first ceremony to be held outside, but frankly I think it's the only logical option. Funny story, the bride was also pregnant and had her baby the day before her wedding date with Agave. Her wedding coordinator, Nancy was so helpful in working with me, the Maid of Honor, to get the wedding up and running smoothly and be so accommodating to answer all my questions, and concerns. The bride as discharged from the hospital and came straight to the venue and got married! Insanity, I know, but Agave made it happen. There are a couple of things I want to point out, though, for the missing star. One, the bride left behind an envelope of cash in the bridal suite after everyone had already gone home, and yet the envelope came up missing and the venue claimed they didn't know anything about it. Their cleaning crew obviously took it/threw it away on accident/whatever, but should take responsibility for these things. Two, the "open" bar is not really open. One person sitting at the bridal party table was the designated person to get up and get drinks for everyone sitting down. The bar essentially cut them off because they assumed he was drinking them all for himself. That's rude, when he clearly wasn't intoxicated and if the bar is being paid for, let us use what was paid for. Three, the guests felt very rushed at the end of the evening when our time slot expired. As if everyone was being pushed out of the venue. We had the option to pay for more time, if we were to go over, and due to the delay in the wedding because of the bride being discharged from the hospital late, we would have gladly used that option had the venue allowed us. Finally, I am extremely allergic to shellfish and the venue served me a plate that contained shrimp and our server looked extremely agitated when I asked calmly to bring out a plate without shrimp. Come on guys! Bringing out an extra plate saves a life. Don't complain about it! I made sure to say the good things first, because those count more than the not-so-good, but in all fairness, something must be said! This truly is an elegant venue and I'd recommend it to anyone. Just be sure you read the fine print on everything. Be prepared for hidden fees, up charges, and an expensive price, but it's well worth it! read more

Agave Road is amazing. The designer of this venue thought of everything, from the needs of the bridal party in the bridal suite (plenty of mirror space, counters, electrical outlets, a primary make up chair, a sitting area, a private toilet room and wash sink, etc.) down to the needs of young guests (a small koi pond is fascinating entertainment at a "boring" party for adults). The venue easily enables an outdoor wedding to move indoors, like mine unfortunately had to. The included officiate, Leighton Ogg, was just wonderful. My husband and I are not religious at all and Leighton was able to perform a meaningful ceremony without any religious reference. We chose the most expensive food option, Cordua (South American fare), which flawlessly fit the relaxed, southern feel of Agave Road. I highly recommend Agave Road.... with some tweeks. The reason I gave only 3 stars is two-fold. 1.) My cake vendor was Who Made the Cake. They make VERY good cake. I spent around $1,100.00 for a bridal cake and a groom's cake. I have never spent that much on cake in my entire life. So imagine my dismay when I hear from my guests that the table bussers were THROWING AWAY whole pieces of cake that people had put at their seats while they went to go dance. Because the DJ was doing a fabulous job at getting people out on the dance floor, not many of my guests enjoyed any cake because of the overly zealous table bussers. The cake is one of the best parts of a wedding and the employees at Agave Road should know that by now. They were literally throwing my money away. 2) My coordinator was AWFUL. Okay, she could've been worse but still. I paid Agave Road a LOT of money. I expected a detail-oriented wedding coordinator. That's their job. To be DETAIL oriented. Instead, the very first email conversation I had with her (which was my very first impression of her), she thought I lived in Katy (I don't) and thought I had chosen the Frana catering menu (I didn't). Then she sends me the preliminary timeline she had created for my wedding and it has my information mixed in with the details of another wedding! It even had the other couple's names sprinkled in it! She consistently mixed me up with other brides or forgot who I was and what I had asked for. Now let me be clear, I was a SUPER easy bride. I am sure all brides think that, but I never complained, was never upset, and never had a bridezilla moment. I never blew up at her, even when she didn't tell me Agave Road switched DJ service vendors and I was mid-planning my music with the wrong person, even when she sent me my final timeline during my rehearsal the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding, and even though her hair looked like an oily mess AT my wedding (which is now documented in all the photos she's in). In fact, the ONLY reason I am writing this review is because she sent me an email requesting me to provide a review and in that email, she once again mixed me up with another bride - she wrote a blurb responding to another bride's question about replicating her real flower wedding cake topper (my cake topper was made out of sugar flowers). Bonus, she never responded to my inquiry double-checking to make sure I hadn't left anything at the venue. All in all, if I had to do it again, I'd still have my wedding at Agave Road. But I would tell the bussers to cool it and demand a different coordinator. read more

Awesome venue. Very unique tuscan setting with nooks, outdoor patios and a great area for an outdoor ceremony. This is one of those venues where everything is included. Everything, I think, except a photographer and florist, but don't quote me on that. So on one hand, that is nice since you have to worry about very little, but on the other hand, you won't be able to save money by bringing your own liquor and things like that. I really did love Agave Road, it was just a bit over our budget. It is very easy to get to, but you are on I-10 for a while, as it is near Katy Mills. I also had some issues getting calls back and getting information sent to me, but in the end it didn't matter b/c we went with a different place. another negative for me was the fact that you can only choose black, white or ivory linens (which i know in the grand scheme of things, doesnt matter, but hey... it's the little things) seriously though, this place is jaw-dropping and would require little-to-no additional decor. read more

I'm giving it one star only because the venue is gorgeous, but unfortunately that's basically the best part. I had my wedding here in December and we had the all inclusive package. The cake vendor (Cakes by Gina) phenomenal. The invitations by Bella Dia, were nice. However at first, they wanted to charge me a non refundable 150 fee for an appointment. I said something because this should have been included with the "all inclusive" price but wasn't. They said it was a miscommunication, all was well after that. The floral lady was nice, however she doesn't show you pictures of flowers or how it's going to look. I expected something much different than she explained. Not worth the money. The food was horrible, I had a horrible time picking out food for my guests because nothing was good. Honestly the food is was over priced in this "all inclusive" package. What they don't tell you before booking is that if you go over the $30 a plate you have to pay extra which will make you go over the budget. They charge 21% gratuity for having the servers but what they also don't tell you it's that it's a buffet style. They don't serve your guests, they have to go up and go through a buffet line. Open bar pricey but the drinks were nice. Also this is not included in the all inclusive price yet worth having for your guests even though you pay 25 dollars a person which again will make you go over your initial price. The DJ asks you to submit must have songs, all but 4 songs were played from that list. The officiant is a man they have contracted, very boring and monotone. When we asked before booking if we could get another officiant they said they would look for one. They came back with a new officiant a couple of months before booking. Only given 1 option and since she was more than their contracted price we had to pay out of pocket to book her. So much more I can go on about different things that went wrong but well let's get to one of the worst. The photographer (Tomas Ramos) was absolutely horrid. He is a nice man but the pictures are so so so horrible this is the most sensitive topic that makes me upset. He did NOT take pictures of me or my bridesmaids getting ready. We all had matching robes, no pictures taken. I don't have a picture with my own parents. He did not take a picture of our rings together. My wife and I don't have pictures of us together. He felt it was important to take a picture of my nephew asleep on the couch while we were getting ready. Really? I can go on and on. No good picture was taken. I feel like I lost out on memories of one of the most important days of my life that I can't take back. All in all I'd say that if you book here, you're better off finding well worth vendors. I feel like I paid thousands of dollars for nothing. read more

Gorgeous venue! Stephani was a fantastic coordinator! She tackled all of our requests and even rescued a boutonniere minutes before the ceremony! The rain held off and we had a beautiful wedding! Gus the DJ was phenomenal! All of our guests had a great time! Food was good. Recommend you get your own photographer and cake. Not being able to coordinate with the photographer provided by the venue before our big day left us disappointed in what we got. We also expected a traditional wedding cake. The vendor that Agave used provided three separate and basic cakes that were no different than grocery store quality. I'd say the biggest aspect of getting the perfect wedding is coordination. The DJ, provided by Agave, contacted us beforehand and took the time to make the music perfect. If the cake vendor and photographer had cared enough about our special day and had done that, we probably would have been happier with what we got. We provided our own flowers and hired Silverbell weddings as our officiant. No problems there! read more

To start off yes the venue looks gorgeous and have no complain on how beautiful the facility is. My problem came the day of the wedding when we got served the wrong food, yes you heard right.... WRONG/DIFFERENT. Instantly I let the coordinator Jessica know about the food not been what we had tasted and not what we had been presented during the tasting. The meat was all mixed in a white sauce, the chicken went from been grilled chicken cover in a nice lemon butter sauce with artichoke and tomato, to a dry dreaded patty. The Chef came over during our dinner and use the excuse of food looking different when done buffet style. Keep in mind this is been done well in our BIG DAY!!! We were never told that food will be different the day of the wedding because of any reason. After our wedding I emailed Amanda explaining her my disappointment and the customer service after you have paid the final amount is the worst. I had to be following up with them daily, and no response for days. But again they were so quick to charged our account for two small vases who were accidentally broken after ceremony was over. Second disappointment was when we got to our sweet heart table after the ceremony and first dance we get to the table that has not one glass of water, when we asked the Coordinator it took about 30 min to bring ONE drink, we then had to ask my mother to get us some water, since we never received water. This place is amazing. I was the made of honor in a wedding recently and I have to say that this place is top-notch. The bridal suite is absolutely stunning, and they were extremely courteous and welcoming, as we had elected to extend the stay and were there all day. The wedding coordinator, Diana, was absolutely amazing. She was on point and kept everyone else that way as well. From the DJ, to the bartender, to the servers at the reception...everything went off without a hitch. They really know what they are doing. read more

I got married at Agave Real and the night couldn't have gone smoother. They make it so easy and take the stress out of wedding planning! My wedding coordinator Nancy was great! Edible designs by Jesse did a fantastic job on my cake! My invitations were beautiful! My floral was gorgeous, everything I could have asked for and more. We chose the italian caterer and the food was AMAZING! The night was absolutely perfect. I never felt stressed during the wedding planning! I got an enormous amount of compliments from my guest about how gorgeous the venue was and how my wedding was the best wedding they've ever been too! All the staff at agave were super sweet and helpful! I highly recommend agave estates!! read more

Amazing food and very attentive, courteous staff. Beautiful building and great outdoor spaces to sit or walk around in.
