It's located in the lobby of the Texas Tower. There's plenty of parking garages nearby, however we had no trouble finding street parking. The decor and lighting are beautiful. The cafe gives upscale vibes. The massive tree like sculpture is an attention grabber. I was confused on the set up when I walked in because I didn't see a host stand. I stood at the counter for awhile and noticed that one of the cooks was on her phone. After waiting for a minute, I asked her if it was counter service or full service. She pointed to another employee to help me instead of just answering my question. I was under the impression that it was counter service as there were menus by the registers, however the young man explained that it is a hybrid of counter and full service. He said I could order at the counter or grab a seat and he would be over. Service was slow the entire evening. I had the Strawberry Rose Refresher (mocktail). It was really good! My friend had a spicy margarita. She liked the margarita, but was disappointed that the server didn't ask her if she wanted salt on the rim (and of course when it came out, the rim was bare). We ordered drinks before the first course was brought out, but we didn't receive them until the second course. Panzanella Salad - I enjoyed the flavor as well as the texture contrast. Roasted Turkey Sandwich - It tasted fine, but nothing about the ingredients or flavors stood out to me. Chocolate Cake - I didn't love it, but it was good enough. I had to settle on the chocolate cake because they ran out of the Strawberry Cream Cake. My friend had the Panzanella Salad, Truffled Chicken Salad, and Tiramisu. The chicken salad looked so good, but I did not try any. My friend enjoyed the chicken salad and the tiramisu. The meal was fine, but I was expecting more from an upscale French inspired cafe. The staff was very nice, however the speed of service needs some improvement. I would consider coming back for breakfast because some of the menu items look really good. It wasn't a horrible experience, but I'm glad we didn't have to pay full price.

The staff was professional, wait time was no more than 5 to 7 mins at least that's how it felt to me. Saw the doctor, we went over the reasons for my appointment, she paid attention, and listened well. I asked if she could test me for new eyeglasses and she did say Yes but only after she evaluated the issues I had with my eyes. With a green light and in less than 10 minutes I was choosing my new frames and sun glasses but not before I met her furry child, dogs make my day. This was on a Friday and by Monday morning I picked up my first pair of three and by Wednesday the rest of my eyeglasses were ready. That was impressive. I honestly thought I would have to wait 15 to 20 days for my new eyeglasses and on top of that deal with issues such as lenses falling out of their frames and I say this because my husband had to wait 20 days and his lens was loose from its frame which lead him to take them back to the optometrist and wait 7 more days for repair. I had never seen such incompetence in the USA but quality and service his no longer of interest just money. However as a client you have the power to choose your service provider not the other way around. I don't settle for less than what I want and need and this place said Yes to my expectations. I am very satisfied.

The screen itself is huge and the audio works by hooking up to a radio station in your car. We showed up about 10 minutes before the movie and I do wish we had gotten there sooner to get a better spot, but we still were able to see the screen clearly from the back. The space itself is quite small and the lot isn't paved so you are driving through some bumps and grass to park. They have several people standing in the lot to guide you in the dark and let you know where you can or cannot park. I didn't check out the concessions just because it seemed pricey (just like every movie concessions) but it seemed like they had a small variety of things for you to grab. The location itself is in east downtown so you could grab dinner and head over quite quickly! On Saturdays, they have a double feature so they show two films back to back for the price of one which is exciting.

Found this place highly recommended and I saw people racing about Trey constantly. I have really dry, coarse, wavy hair and really wanted to find someone who could not only cut hair well, but also give me advice on how to care for it so it doesn't look like a hay bail on my head after a few weeks. Needless to say, Trey didn't disappoint :) He not only provided a great haircut, but took the time to explain to me exactly what was going on with my hair, what to do / what not to do, and educated me on what to look for in products so that my hair could be properly hydrated. For the first time in my life my hair is actually soft and I couldn't be happier! He also gave me his card so I could message him in case I had any questions. Definitely went above and beyond, took his time and really cared. Thanks again Trey! I know where I'll be going next time I'm in H town

Cafe & Saloon was one of those places that completely exceeded expectations…read more I'm rarely out in Old Town Spring, but I was in the area picking up a piece of metal art for my patio and wanted to take my mom and brother somewhere unique that we don't have in Katy. A quick Google search brought this place up first with 4.9 stars, which is practically unheard of these days, so we decided to try it. Wow. What a meal. We started with the onion ring basket and a half order of beer bread. The onion rings were fantastic--huge, thick-cut rings with a wonderfully seasoned batter that actually had flavor instead of tasting flat or bland. Served piping hot, which matters to me because I like my food HOT. The ranch dressing was a great addition, too. The beer bread was decent. You could definitely taste the beer, but it wasn't the best loaf I've ever had. Mom, Mark, and I all ordered the grilled ribeye steak sandwich. I'm the only one who got it as designed on the menu. I originally expected more of a slab-of-steak sandwich, but it was actually closer to a Philly cheesesteak style sandwich, which honestly I prefer. Mom and Mark skipped the peppers, onions, garlic aioli, and pepper jack cheese in favor of lettuce, tomato, and mayo instead. Our waiter, Evan, was wonderful! He was friendly, attentive, accommodating, and clearly proud of the restaurant. He even offered to tell us the history of the building and restaurant, which added so much to the experience. The story is also printed on the back of the menu, and it's definitely worth reading. Evan mentioned he's only been there a few months, but he is absolutely an asset to the restaurant as a server. My brother Mark is blind and autistic, and it's honestly not often a server addresses him directly. They usually look to mom or me and ask, "What does he want?," but Evan asked Mark directly. Kudos to him. We had to finish the meal with the historical whiskey chocolate cake, and I'm glad we did. It's served warm with whipped cream on the side, caramel sauce drizzled across the plate, and pecans on top. Absolutely delicious and huge! There were four of us who shared it, and it was more than enough for each of us. Also worth mentioning: the sweet potato fries are an extra $4 but absolutely worth it. These are NOT frozen Ore-Ida fries dumped from a bag. They're clearly fresh cut and homemade, and they were delicious. For nearly two o'clock in the afternoon, the place was packed--at least three-quarters full--and the entire atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was friendly. I live in Katy, so Old Town Spring is definitely not nearby for me, but I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the area or just passing through. It's easy to see why people love it. A definite five-star experience for us!
