We opted to self park, which was problematic with the rain and standing water in the parking spots. Inside, there was security on the first floor and a winding staircase. The wedding reception was located on the second floor. In front of the venue entrance, there was a fun photo booth, a full bar, a pile of wedding favors, and a backdrop for picture taking with the bride and groom. The reception venue itself was huge. For perspective, this venue housed about 600 guests. So, if you're looking for a venue for a large party, this is your spot. There were brightly lit, huge chandeliers above us. There was a decent sized dance floor in the middle of the room, and a long table for guests to enjoy milk tea from The Teahouse - I enjoyed the strong tea flavor, despite how sweet it was for me. We got to our table, which barely squeezed nine of us in comfortably. But, we managed. I did enjoy how much food we received at this wedding. Like other Kim Son weddings I've attended, I'm always left full after these events. There were 9 courses, which included the wedding cake. My favorites of the night included the Peking Duck & Steamed Bun, Grilled New York Strip & Asparagus (although, I didn't eat the asparagus. lol), the seafood part of the Seafood Bird's Nest, and the Yang Chow Fried Rice. The Photo Booth was really fun. There were all kinds of props and quotes to choose from for fun pictures. Although, there was only a short amount of time to pick our props and take the pictures. Overall, I had a good time at this wedding venue. If you plan to have a large wedding reception, this spot can accommodate you. Plus, if you have hungry guests that are huge eaters, they will leave very full here.

The food is your average Vietnamese dishes and they do accommodate to vegetarians. You can request a blueprint of how the tables will be set up to plan your seating chart. You can also ask the manager to tour the venue beforehand. However, sometimes it was hard to get in touch with the manager. Although the venue was spacious, the parking lot was not. At least not if you have 400-500 guests coming. On Sunday's, there is a church in the same plaza so the parking spaces were taken up. Additional parking can be found around the plaza. Overall, a good venue to plan your special occasions.

I told him I had just spoken to someone yesterday, and he "you have wrong information, there's no way we can do reservations with this many people - you probably called the corporate office (it's the number listed on their website so that made no sense)" and was very dismissive of me and not apologetic whatsoever. It's totally understandable that reservations wouldn't be possible on a World Cup day. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). Had to take my three nieces elsewhere at the last minute and don't imagine I'll be returning after that experience.

What you see is what you get. Even when minimally decorated, from floor to ceiling, the space has a clean, elegant, and modern look. It's highlighted by tray ceilings with gorgeous chandeliers. The space is ideal for a party/reception. Hundreds were in attendance and there was plenty of space for everyone. There was live music, speeches, dinner, and dancing. Food was catered and served in the lobby outside the ballroom. A bar was set up in one corner of the ballroom. The Trinity Event Center is located behind Holy Trinity Cathedral Church (Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Google Maps). Not knowing this, I parked in front of the church, thinking it was the same as the event center. They are two separate buildings on the same property. There's plenty of parking. There was an event going on at the same time at the church, so there were a lot of cars. Additional parking is available around and behind the event center. The back lot is sort of hidden. Holy Trinity and the Trinity Event Center are in southwest Houston, near the Houston Funplex.

The bathrooms were the worst I have seen in any event center in all my years in America. There were urine all over, toilet papers and paper towels on the floor and no toilet paper or soap for guests to use. I had to use the paper towel to wipe my self. This is unacceptable and should be corrected. Please before you rent this hall ensure that they have staff monitoring supplies and cleaning the toilets during your event. They are getting away with this because they serve mostly the immigrant community but we should not accept this level treatment from them. This was my first time going there for an event and will most likely not attend any event there again till they clean up. Every one I spoke to about my experience there said that is normal for this event center. We need to stop using them till they change. Your guests are there to honor you not to get infection from attending your event. They charge a lot for the halls but can not provide basic supplies for the bathrooms and have cleaners there during the events.

The Palladium is not a franchise of a nationwide company named after Arthur Murray or Fred Astaire. It's a local concern, and doesn't offer as much as the other two studios I listed. I've gone to their Latin events, and here's what it looks like: They have in-house instructors, and also bring in people from outside Houston. (I wrote about California's Kathy Reyes in two prior reviews, I hope she's reading this and makes the trip to Houston some time!) They have classes, and they have dance parties. Both are run well, charging market rates. Lots of parking. One medium-sized dance floor, two smaller studios. The bar sells drinks, both alky and non-alky. Restrooms are deep in the bowels of the building, down the hall to the left. The people who come are a good company, and are fixinta learn to dance better and to have fun. The social dance community of Houston is smaller than in other cities, so there's much overlap from one instructor to another, and it's likely that you'll meet someone there who you danced with somewhere else. I haven't met any snobs yet, but you can't assume that they won't be there. I first went to the Palladium for New Years Eve. I've been several times since then. The experience was similar to others I've been to in other cities. I've had a good time, and never drove home thinking "well, that was a waste of a hundred mile drive one-way." Beaumont simply has nothing like The Palladium, likely because few people in the Coonie Triangle are interested in ballroom or Latin dancing. I encourage you to find a class or party and stop on by.
