I moved forward with booking and paying deposit moments after. Once, after I reserved the space, invitations was order and printed, then sent out to guest. Then on today I received a call from Sara , the event planner/coordinator/owner/multiple title holder of the business. From the beginning of the conversation her tone didn't register well with me, as we discussed event. Literally after hanging up with Sara, i received another call from her, stating they couldn't host my event. In which, she stated they couldn't host for a flow of 75, but was able to draft a contract that states my event will be a flow of 75. Seems odd right. Seems like a lack is communication between owners, managers, coordinators, or the entire team. I would advise anyone seeking services from here to stay clear or make sure communication is clear across the board before signing or booking an event here. First impressions are lasting, and from one entrepreneur to another I would never conduct business as such. I will post on all social platforms how I have been inconvenienced due lack of communication on their end.

First Level: Ceremony Space!!! This is a lovely space. If you are sitting in the back, it may be a bit hard to see and hear. It technically indoor/ outdoor. Half of the first floor is walled off and the other half allows for a nice breeze to flow. Not to mention that they have a large fan under the pavillion. Second Level: The reception! Parrrrrtay anyone!!! This level is accessible via the elevator or the stairs. This room is large enough to fit circle, square, and oblong shaped tables. It is also large enough to fit the dinner buffet in it as well and a bar area. The restrooms on this floor is limited, but no worries, if they are occupied, you can easily go to another floor! Third Level: Rooftop... Woooohoooo!!! This rooftop is beautiful and spacious. This is accessible via elevator and via stairs. The set up included cocktail tables and minimal seating. Also, there are a few outdoor/patio umbrellas, but when the sun is out, man this place is hot!!! So, just be ware. If you have a summer time event, please wait until the sun goes down or provide plenty of coverage. There is also a bar set up on this level. In essence, this is a nice venue for a wedding or a swanky party. It looks like they give their hosts flexibility with decor, food, and DJ. Thumbs Up: Portions of the rooftop are dedicated to gardens that grow fresh produce, adding a unique touch to the space. Neutral: I wasn't able to determine where the harvested produce ultimately goes. I'm sure the information is available somewhere, but I don't recall seeing it during my visits. Thumbs Up: I can actually see my home from the rooftop. Thumbs Up: I've watched a few rooftop concerts from my balcony. Thumbs Up: As an added bonus, it's always entertaining to hear some of my neighbors complain about the "noise pollution" during HOA meetings. Living Downtown comes with unique advantages and occasional inconveniences. If someone can't tolerate city life, they may be happier living in the suburb provinces. They host an array of events and activities (some are free, while others are ticketed). Events and activities include live music, DJs, yoga, Zumba, and seasonal events like Winter Wonderlawn during Christmas and Lunar New Year. There are seven gardens which take up about an acre. There's signs throughout the lawn that explain the different gardens and various spaces. Sky Farm is operated by Blackwood Educational Land Institute and they focus on regenerative agriculture and cultivation of food. The Outpost can be rented for events. Yelp Houston has hosted some events at the Outpost in the past. During the summer, it gets very hot! They have quite a few covered/shaded areas and there's vendors throughout if you need water or a beverage. There's lots of seating too (both covered and uncovered). A visit to Post Houston isn't complete without making the trek up to Skylawn! The views alone are worth it!

I've gone to their Latin events, and here's what it looks like: They have in-house instructors, and also bring in people from outside Houston. (I wrote about California's Kathy Reyes in two prior reviews, I hope she's reading this and makes the trip to Houston some time!) They have classes, and they have dance parties. Both are run well, charging market rates. Lots of parking. One medium-sized dance floor, two smaller studios. The bar sells drinks, both alky and non-alky. Restrooms are deep in the bowels of the building, down the hall to the left. The people who come are a good company, and are fixinta learn to dance better and to have fun. The social dance community of Houston is smaller than in other cities, so there's much overlap from one instructor to another, and it's likely that you'll meet someone there who you danced with somewhere else. I haven't met any snobs yet, but you can't assume that they won't be there. I first went to the Palladium for New Years Eve. I've been several times since then. The experience was similar to others I've been to in other cities. I've had a good time, and never drove home thinking "well, that was a waste of a hundred mile drive one-way." Beaumont simply has nothing like The Palladium, likely because few people in the Coonie Triangle are interested in ballroom or Latin dancing. I encourage you to find a class or party and stop on by.
