Went to the briscoe Manor open house this winter and it was beautiful. It wasn't as elaborate as it was last year but super understandable as every one of us are going through one or two things this year. I was able to meet a bunch of new vendors at the event space and I was so excited. A couple of particular ones I was able to hire afterwards! 11 brisco Manor has her open houses because they always provide the best vendors and the best opportunities for networking. I appreciate that they have ample parking and I'm so looking forward to the next open house this fall. read more

The main building has a courtyard that allows for cocktail hour, or a mixer prior yo entering the building. Nut allergies - This is a funny one to comment on because obviously the venue can address any allergies ahead of time. A few dishes we found that had nuts were surprisingly the pork belly and the cheese balls. So, don't make assumptions. Plenty of parking, easy to get in/out of. We attended Briscoe Manor's open house in January 2026, which was a showcase of vendors that are familiar with the venue and samples from their in-house catering. It was a fantastic open house. Their in-house catering had short rib wellington bites being walked around, and the buffet sampler spread included a meat and cheese charcuterie board, hummus dip, French onion dip with bread, roasted vegetables, elotes, shrimp cocktails, and deviled eggs. A few hot plates available were the butternut squash rigatoni, crab asparagus, pork belly, and meat loaf. I would say my favorites were the crab asparagus and the short rib Wellington bites. The venue itself is quite beautiful. The dance floor is a bit small and is raised, so some care should be taken for mixing too much alcohol into that. A string quartet with pop music was playing and the acoustics were very nice in the main reception hall. The team seemed very friendly and the church was steps away from the reception hall (walk outside briefly, but it's entirely covered in case of rain). read more

I should start out by saying this place is beautiful. The being one star has nothing to do with the look of the venue. The service we recieved was less than stellar from Connie. In all the places we've toured to plan our wedding they've sat down with us and discussed dates, pricing, options, andwered any questions we've had, etc. We've left those places knowing pretty much exactly what we're getting. First, she was late for the tour almost 15 mins. We had to call the venue to figure out if anyone was coming. Upon greeting us we were just given a sheet of paper with questions you couldve just essentially asked us through the tour. I.E. amount of people or date planned. Anyways, we were given the sheet and told she'd be right back. Once we got into the tour she showed us around the place. Again, wonderful looking space. She showed us what the base plating would look like and what chairs would look like. She did mention they worked with other vendors if we wanted other plating options.(Would've been great to discuss what those options are and typical cost for such or even if she didnt know we couldve just been told that.) She mentioned during the tour that linens werent included but they had a vendor that they prefer. Again, wouldve been great to sit down and map this out together so leaving the venue we have an idea of options, pricing, etc. Literally every venue we've been to has done this. We were told that we just need to look at the email and let her know if theres any questions. That was it. So we left the venue knowing what it looks like and nothing more. I get it, we have an email with brochures attached. I guess we just expected more scheduling an actual tour. read more

Everyone could not say enough about how beautiful the venue was how wonderful the staff treated them. Yesterday we attended a wedding at this beautiful place on a perfect November afternoon and I must say I was very impressed with this charming oasis located in Richmond, Texas. My first time visiting I can see why someone would like to have an event here. Right off of FM 723, it is located in a beautifully landscaped treed area and has a lovely chapel connected to a rustic courtyard that leads into a fellowship and dining hall where the reception was held. While in the hall the views from the windows provided us with a lovely view of the lake that complemented this fine property! The acoustics in the chapel were fabulous and the decor was simple and understated which I really liked! Afterwards the congregation convened in the courtyard where we were provided with hor d'oervres and drinks while we waited to file into the fellowship hall. The servers were all attentive and friendly and the food was presented aesthetically. Probably one of the nicest offerings I've ever experienced at a wedding! There was also an open bar in the back that served drinks and coffee and the acoustics inside the hall were very good! What I really liked was the nice landscaping and lake outside which provided great photo ops and with the weather being so pleasant, a really nice place to sit and visit in the patio or out by the water. I had my wedding here in December 2018 and I couldn't be more happier with my decision. The venue is absolutely stunning and it's so convenient to have a church and reception venue on the same site. My wedding was quite large (350 people) and Briscoe was able to accommodate everyone well. Ashley was our wedding coordinator and she was AMAZING. She pays attention to all the details and kept us on track with wedding planning. She was excellent at keeping the agenda on track and making sure everything was in place. From the first time I looked online at venues for my wedding, I knew Briscoe Manor was the venue for my then fiance and myself. Their website seemed to just draw us in. I contacted them and from our first meeting on, we were sold. My fiance and I went in for a tour of the property, which was breathtaking, and Natalie Plentl answered every question we could come up with before we even asked. She knew everything about Briscoe but also everything about the wedding and reception process. After we booked Briscoe, we were beyond fortunate to be able to work with Jamie Eggleton. That's another great part about Briscoe, not only do you get an incredible venue but you also get a wedding coordinator that already knows how to throw a wedding at Briscoe. Jamie was a godsend. She was amazing at communication and never left me in the dark on anything. Her responses always came very quickly whether it was by email or phone. Jamie was so on top of who, what, where, when, and why. She helped me to keep track on my own timeline so that the whole wedding planning process never became stressful. Jamie even contacted all of my off-site vendors the week of the wedding to confirm when each of them would be arriving to keep them on track too. Jamie provided us with a timeline for the day of the wedding that even included my husband and I sitting alone for 5 minutes before heading into our reception; just allowing us to sit and breathe and be with each other. What a thoughtful moment and I truly appreciated that she set that time aside for us. Throughout our whole wedding day and night, Jamie would update both my husband and I about where we were in the schedule. She was also coming up to each of us making sure we had a drink in our hand if we needed one and always checking to make sure that there were no issues or if there was anything else she could do. My mother even told me after the wedding that she was so impressed by Jamie and that Jamie also checked with my family to make sure everyone was good. Jamie hustled the whole night and made sure that every aspect of our wedding and reception were perfect. I literally could not have asked for a better wedding coordinator and I cannot truly describe to you what an incredible job she does. We also worked with Rachel from Behind the Bash, Briscoe's in-house catering. Rachel was wonderful to work with as well and really took care to check on allergy specific foods for my husband. It has now been a week since we got married at Briscoe and we still have people telling us how incredible the food was. We were beyond excited when we got back to our hotel after the wedding and had a food care package from the reception. We tried to not eat all of it right away so that we could savor it longer! All of our guests commented on what a gorgeous venue Briscoe Manor is. We were excited to share this terrific piece of Texas with our guests that mostly came from out-of-state. It wasn't too country for Texas, but you could definitely make it more country based on your wedding theme. Briscoe is definitely elegant and can fit practically any theme. From the time you drive down the driveway up to Briscoe, you are already entering into the place where you know you are going to get married and share that special day with the ones you love. I recently attended a wedding and reception and it was an absolutely gorgeous venue! I honestly don't remember any exposed a/c ducts, and I was there for hours (I came with the videographer). But even if they were exposed, it obviously wasn't enough for me to take too much notice. I thought the food was fantastic; another reviewer said something about getting food poisoning from the chicken, but I ate it and had no problems. The rest of the reception was fabulous; the space was great and there was plenty of room for everyone. The bar/coffee area was fine, I thought, not too tall or anything, and I'm not that tall of a girl. The decor in the reception hall was beautiful and the area for the cocktail hour was very nice, even though we weren't out there for long because of the heat and humidity, which is not fault of Briscoe. The staff was great and very attentive throughout the hectic nature of a reception. I'm attending another wedding and reception here in a few months, and I gladly look forward to being there again. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I got married here in April. Stephanie was my coordinator. Briscoe made everything go super super smooth. If there was a problem, I didn't know about it. I went over everything with them about a month before my wedding, and emailed constantly with questions. Stephanie was super responsive, and kept everything moving the day of. They did an awesome job of setting things up to my specifications. I handed them the box of props at the rehearsal and everything was done when I arrived. The food was amazing and everyone enjoyed their meals. The caterer, Behind the Bash, was super helpful in menu planning everyone thought the food was delicious. Stephanie made sure our drinks were full, and we had our plates when it was time to eat. The venue is beautiful so that saves a lot in costs. This is not the cheapest venue around, but it makes up for it in service and you get the entire venue to yourself. If you're open to it, you might want to consider non-Saturday night times to save. Negatives: 1. Book early! I had to book over a year in advance. 2. Drinks were a little weak and shots are not allowed. But you're in the middle of the country, so you don't really want your guests driving back drunk. 3. It is a bit far. So you might want to consider whether you really want your hair/make up people driving that far and incurring extra fees. Overall, I loved the place, and have zero regrets. I was a guest at a fall wedding here last year, and enjoyed taking someone from out of state to a place so quintessentially Texas. You lose some of the charm of the longhorns grazing and the outside of the place if you get married after dark, though. The chapel's stone backdrop is very rustic chic, as is the reception hall. There's a courtyard between the two where cocktail hour was served. The bride and groom had three different drink options, but I was only ever offered one, which I didn't like. I kept eyeing the servers hoping they'd bring me another drink tray, but it never happened. Staff should be encouraged to bust up conversations because everyone secretly just wants to stuff their face. The food was actually shockingly delicious. The salad with heirloom tomatoes and the chicken with some sort of sauce were soooo good, as were the rolls. I got fuller than I'd planned for a wedding because I just couldn't stop eating. The bartenders were also pretty good and accommodating. Beautiful place with a dance floor in the middle and lovely chiavari chairs. I had a great time at the wedding, and your guests will be impressed by this venue. read more

This venue was love at first sight! I didn't plan on getting married the year after I got engaged but when you know, you know! From the first greeting from Ashley to them making me comfortable the whole way through the process. They never made me feel uncomfortable when it came to budget and making sure I had the most beautiful wedding. The day of coordinator and complimentary food tasting was a plus! The venue is family owned and truly you feel like part of their family instantly and they are so down to earth! Ashley was so great with replying to my endless emails, calls, and pop up visits! This bride is very OCD and literally she never made me feel like I was bothering her. The owner also emailed when changes were made to the venue which seriously made me fall completely in love with them all over again. During the ceremony, they also got ac units for me so that my guests didn't melt away in the Houston Heat. They also let me bring all the stuff I wanted the day of the rehearsal so I didn't have to worry about it and they even helped set it all up which was sooooo nice! The fireworks were just truly perfection and my helicopter exit was a great hit and so much fun! You can land a helicopter there, guys! They even said okay to whataburger being delivered at the end to provide to my guests so that they had an additional "snack" for their drive home. If I could get married every year, I would do it again again at this place. When people say your day will not go as planned so just let it go, truly didn't pick the right team for their wedding day. A gorgeous venue! Recently attended a wedding and reception there and was really impressed. The chapel was gorgeous! Another reviewer wrote about exposed a/c ducts, but they must've been in the mood to ignore everything good and beautiful about the place. Yes, there was some exposure, but they were well camouflaged and didn't take even an ounce of the beauty out of the place. Perhaps Amy E was having a rough day? Anyway, the chapel was so pretty that it didn't even need decoration! The reception hall did not disappoint. Everyone who walked in oohed an ahhed over how great everything looked. The space offers a foyer for those who needed a breather from breaking it down on the spacious dance floor. I was actually surprised at how much usable space was in the hall. Plenty of room for seating guests without feeling like pickles crammed into a jar. There was also an outdoor space between the chapel and reception hall that was perfect for catching a bit of the breeze. Also, there's tons of parking if you're having a large wedding. The food was really tasty, too. Everything on the menu was great and considering how clean everyones plates were, I'd hazard a guess that they'd all agree. It seems that the reviewer Amy E and I were actually at the same event, considering the foods she listed are exactly what I had! Not sure where the food poisoning thing came from, no one else had any problems. All of the staff was really polite and helpful. They were able to work around a bunch of excited people and keep everything looking ship shape throughout the night. This is definitely a good place to host any event. As the fall wedding season comes to a close, I attended a wedding at Briscoe Manor this past weekend. Located on a ranch type property it was beautiful when we rode up the long driveway - it has Texas written all over it (not like that's a bad thing)! The wedding ceremony took place inside a nice chapel, nothing too fancy but pretty in its own simplicity. Cocktail hour in the courtyard was fabulous, thanks to some partners in crime: the nice weather and the wine/champagne served. Oh yes, I can't forget to give a shout out to the crab cake balls! If you're wondering YES I did track down servers with those magical things. The food was fantastic and the staff was very attentive and friendly! Great venue, great food, great night! read more

I have a slight love hate relationship with Briscoe Manor. Overall a great place - Jen Christian Lowrance did a great job of coordinating the major/minor details of the wedding. She made sure everything went smoothily - despite the fact that she had to leave mid-reception because one of her husband's family members had passed away. Given difficult circumstances, she did a stellar job. I was very appreciative as well that they were able to give me a tasting of the food before I had signed the contract - 1) it was super important to my family that the food was good & they did deliver!, 2) I had limited time to visit wedding places & have everything done given I was planning from out of town. They were very accomodating. One thing I will say is that it IS expensive - don't expect a cheap wedding from here & things will add up. But for a place that is reception/ceremony ready - it's a great place with lots of options. The place has a great country/ranch feel which is exactly what I was looking for - a place to get away from the hustle/bustle of the city. It was slightly inconvenient though for my friends & family since it is about 1 hr away from the airport and the rest of Houston/civilization. For the most part, the only issue I had was with Rachel/Misty and just coordinating on some of the food things - but we managed to get over that & they did execute in the end. My real only wish is that in the end the place wouldn't rush the wedding - I wish if you had the night slot for the place that you wouldn't have to buy the extra hours - like most places in hotels where the weddings go until 12 etc. I felt somewhat rushed at the end, but for the sake of saving money ended it on time. read more

The exterior looks nice, but the inside has poor finishes. You can see the a/c ducts. Fine for a loft but not in what is supposed to be a palatial estate. The food was over salted and the chicken gave my hubby and I food poisoning. The mushroom risotto was more like orzo pasta with Campbell's cream of chicken soup. The roast beef was rubbery and served with what was supposed to be fresh horseradish sauce but it was more like creme fraiche. The salad was fantastic. The service was terrible too. It was obvious they did not want to be there. The wine was served in tiny port glasses (?!) and the bartenders wouldn't slide the glasses towards you. We had to stretch across the width of the tall bar to grab them. While eating a server just stretched across my shoulder, over my plate, placed his palm on top of my water glass and removed it along with other dishes. I had just sat down to eat and wanted my water. We heard the price was $79 per person but just can't see how. The pictures on the listing are misleading. It's just not that big. And there's a lot of concrete. The funniest part of the place are the specially printed napkins placed in the restrooms. They have the Briscoe Manor logo on them which is just a large script BM. read more

My husband and I attended a wedding at Briscoe Manor for a friend of his and although I did not know anyone except for the groom and my wonderful husband I really enjoyed myself. The ceremony in the chapel was very nice. After the couple completed their vows they remained in the chapel to take pictures, the guests were invited out side to a beautifully lit courtyard. The weather was wonderful and the friendly staff walked through the guests constantly serving a variety of different and delicious appetizers There was a bar outside as well so guests could enjoy a drink as we waited for dinner. When the bride and groom were ready we all went inside to a very nice reception where we enjoyed a nice and tasty buffet style dinner. I thought it was a wonderful event and put together very well. Everyone has different ideas about what they want for their special day, a beautiful country club in the city and some prefer a nice peaceful setting where you can relax and feel a little away from it all. I would recommend Briscoe Manor to any one, I think it is a wonderful place. read more
