It was okay. My daughter did enjoy some of the park equipment but she spent most of her time where the work out area for adults were. The photos are way better appealing than the actual park. The slides that were there is the rolling metal kind which my girl didn't care for and then the slides...were dirty so I told her not to go on it unfortunately. It could be different with other people but I didn't get a sense of cleanliness to it. There are many parks I've been to outdoors where it didn't feel dirty, but this was not one of them. Also, a lot of open space and unleveled terrain so it could be also hazardous if you're not watching your child. read more

This is a huge park for kids of all ages. Our twins came here for a birthday party. If you want to utilize the pavilion it is first come first serve so come early to get some tables/chairs. It's an immersive playground allowing the kids to be creative and interactive with their environment. In addition to the play equipments, it offers an environment where a kid could play around and maneuver and be as imaginative as one'd like to be. Its a nice and clean park. I do feel safe going to this park. Its gated and area wise its fairly small but enough for young kids. There is a pavilion and most of the time, I see people hosting party's there. This is an amazing park for toddlers, children, and big kids alike! Everything is wonderfully integrated into the nature scape using an exploration theme for all ages. There are interactive signs that invite kids to engage with creation using their five senses (watch for the signs that say it is safe to taste certain things in the garden). I love how they explain that rainwater flows down to their creek bed out into a diversion channel, then to Buffalo Bayou, and empties out into the Gulf of Mexico. Our older kids loved the braided rope swing and the round hammock swing. They enjoyed playing Row Row Your Boat on the "Bridgelophone" (although there were some keys that didn't work). There were also natural areas to explore - a brick wall with some bricks jutting out for some rock climbing fun under the bridge, a garden with many different flowering varieties, and a 3 tiered artificial turf climbing hill (my one year old bear crawled all the way up and down). Love how this is easy access to a running/walking trail and lake. Clean family restrooms too. If you are exploring Houston with the family, this is a top 5 park for sure. read more

What a cool park! Coming from Spring/ the woodlands area, we live so far away it is practically a road trip when we come down here. So when we do come, we like to try lots of different restaurants, especially because of all the halal options, but we wanted the kids to burn off some steam and so I looked for a park nearby. This was such a great option to come to! It had a great play area and some stuff that I have not seen any parks near us. They have a great area for young children and a larger area for big children. They had hand sanitizer to use when you come in-and-out of the park, and the soft plush ground was great because I was not scared that they would have pebbles in their shoes or wood chips poking them. Why 4 stars? Because it's not a destination but I'm sure the locals love it. --- --- --- My review is probably a weird one, so I'll segment it. If you live in Katy, this is a great park. If you live in the neighborhood that borders this park, this park could possibly have been a selling point for you to buy your house if you have little ones. For me, I Googled "Best playgrounds in Houston" and this was on a couple of different lists. I was feeling adventurous and made the journey out here from Montgomery and tacked on visiting a nearby restaurant I wanted to try to make a day of it. The lesson learned for me is that this park is far above average for one you might just stumble upon. But it's probably not worth driving out here as somewhat of a destination like I did. I think one thing that would make a huge difference is if there were more tree coverage. Even in mid-May, the sun was pretty brutal, which shortened the time my niece wanted to be here pretty dramatically. And we haven't even officially entered summer for another month yet. The park is a lot smaller than it looks in the photos, as others point out. But don't get me wrong, it's cool and there's a variety of activities. It's not the cookie cutter play equipment you see at many places. I can't say we'll be back because of the hour drive, but if we lived in the area, this would be a usual spot of ours. read more

Good, clean, open park! Different sections open up the space. We frequent it regularly and it never disappoints!

This gated park is smaller in person than the pictures make it out to be, but it was also extremely crowded, which may have made it look smaller as well. There is a small parking lot across the road from the park itself with one row of parking spaces. When spaces ran out, people did parallel park on the opposite side, which made it harder for all of the trucks and vans to then back out and leave. There is a small area with blue blocks set around rainbow bridge-bars. The extra blocks and sticks have been removed I think, for Covid reasons probably. It states that this area is for kids 1 - 3 but it wasn't enforced and lots of bigger kids were climbing and doing flips through the area. This part of the play area is the nearest to the covered pavilion with the tables to eat. There is a tall climbing structure with web-like ropes for climbing, a two-story wooden tower with a covered curvy slide, a small roller-bottom slide, a swing area with two toddler swings and two regular swings, a disk swing and a large log swing. On the opposite side of the park is a rolling hill area covered in soft turf for kids to play king of the hill or roll or run around. Overall, it is a very nice park with a good mixture of natural elements and plastic playscapes. There are also informative signs throughout the park to teach kids about types of rivers, birds, etc. Super cute and highly recommend, even when super crowded! read more

This place is the bomb dot com. Great playground for kids. It's fenced in so kids can't run off. My 1yo didn't have that many options to play with because she just learned to walk, but there's a crawling friendly area. Best would be ages 5+ because they can take advantage of all (or nearly all) of the play options here. My 3.5 year old was a little hesitant but still had a great time with the couple of play structures that she decided she wanted to use. They have a hand sanitizer station right by the entrance, too! read more

Beautiful weather calls for a trip to the park - which was BUSY!!! I appreciate any park that's gated, keeping children of all ages safe. I wish there were more play structures for toddlers. Parking is available across the street, be prepared to park in the grass if the weather is nice. Our trip was short lived, the park was very crowded. My toddler still enjoyed her time. We walked the trail across the street which was beautiful and clean. read more

This is a fantastic park. The playground caters to many ages and everyone from toddler to pre-teen would find something they like at this park. There is a big pavilion with plenty of covered seating. One negative about this park is the restrooms are located across the street which means, if you have kids on the younger side, you can't send them to the bathroom alone. It was a bit of an inconvenience to round up all the kids and walk them across the street for one child to go to the bathroom. Regardless, this park was worth it. read more

A great playground for babies to young children. The entire playground is fenced and has soft padding in most areas. There are baby (basket) swings and a dedicated soft space for ages less than 18mos which is nice. There's not much seating and only one pavilion (FCFS) so maybe bring a blanket or chair for yourself. It can get crowded especially on weekends and if there's a party happening. read more

This is not at all your traditional park. My kids felt like they were on an adventure. Everything was very clean. The whole park is basically gated. I wouldn't just sit and let the kids run wild but it is overall the most safe park we've been to. There's a nice covered area with tables, lots of small trees giving some shade over some benches around the park. Most of the floor is made out of some foamy material, some parts are small pebbled rocks and some fake grass. Overall I would love to have one of these parks closer to Cypress. I gave it 4 stars because I don't think they had a restroom. Considering the size of the park and that you can spend more than an hour there. Restrooms are very important when you have little ones that just cant wait. read more

My 13 month old didn't really seem too interested with many things here but at this stage it's more of them exploring and running around anyway. My 9 and 3 year old really had a blast though. Such an awesome new park in katy!! Thank you for making a park that older kids can enjoy! This park has so much going on! From the xylophone bridge that you make music with the mallets, to the awesome tree house structure, this park offers so much entertainment. There is a pretty cool looking swing that looks like a seesaw but is more like a swing. also, there is a hammock like thing and a rolling slide. Not to mention this park also teaches about the different rivers and the kids can play in some water. The only thing i saw that was not there was a restroom. That could come in handy, but most neighborhood parks dont have restrooms, so thats understandable. read more

The park is beautiful. It is padded, have artificial grass, is clean and has some cool areas for the children. My children 2 and 5 enjoyed. However, the slide I think is not safe for a 2 yrs old. My baby was climbing very slow and a lot of older children were passing by her and I was afraid she might fall. There are only 2 areas for small children. The games for the older children my be crowed during peak season like (spring break) they have to wait until they someone gets off. Overall a nice place. read more

Stopped by the park recently while me and my daughter were in town visiting. About ten people (kids and parents) were in the park when we arrived. Immediately received some interesting looks, maybe due to the fact that myself and my daughter had darker skin than everyone in the park, but we thought nothing of it and I sat down on a bench while my daughter began playing close by. Then something strange happened. Over the next 5 minutes everyone in the park began to leave, then a few minutes after that a police car parked next to the park (did one of the parents call??) and watched us for 10 minutes! Not for young toddlers! I was excited to come here with my little one but it is definitely for older kids. There is a fun area with rocks and boulders -- but its clearly a danger for toddlers who are just learning to walk. There wasn't much for toddlers to do here. Also, I really didn't like the parking situation -- my car was behind some brush and I felt unsafe being there and leaving my car there. They should really clean up the area so the cars are visible from the park. read more

This place is so special for families with small kids. It's a nice somewhat hidden lil gem in a nice neighborhood. The only things I would add is more shaded seating around the different playing areas to keep a closer eye on your children and maybe a small water sprinkle area for those scoring days on the summer. I will definitely take my grand back to this spot! read more

Talk about the perfect name to describe this park. Everything is an adventure here, from the plants to the terrain to the obvious play structures. I feel all ages can have a great time here, my 15 month old went bananas for it all. But you could see entire families lounging here under the covered porch swinging in their rocking chairs then having a picnic at the tables while their kids went to town. Even the giant boulders were a great climbing attraction. The massive 3 story slide is the main event, and even my 15 month old could climb the stairs and slide down it safely. Butterflies were abundant, as were tons of different plants/herbs (including chocolate mint, a great kid curiosity). It's all nicely fenced off so no worries about escapes. The major downside is no bathrooms. And the nearest ones are beyond reasonable walking distance in a nearby market center. So keep this in mind, fyi. read more

My first thought the first time I ever came here upon its opening was what an amazing park. My second thought was, sadly, this will never last. Sometimes it sucks to be right. An amazing park in concept, almost a year later after its first opening the little details that made it stand out no longer exist. The water paint brushes have been gone for months and the mallets to hit on the musical walk way are no where to be seen. I can't find any of the awesome blue blocks and and the cool see saw jumper no longer exists. The huge from a bug eye grass area is covered with more yellow caution tape than a crime scene. It's still an awesome park but it's sad to see that people apparently took for granted (and literally took from) something so awesome in our community. Maybe charging a small fee to get in and having someone work there full time would help? Or building a higher fence to keep people out after dark? Or maybe it's already too late. Some of the magic is missing here and we may not be lucky enough to get it a second time. read more

Good playground, definitely worth the drive. 4 stars = "Yay! I'm a fan", which means, just go already, a really fun place. It has: - Quality rubber padding everywhere. - Astroturf hill. - Really well thought out for kids; not too much equipment, but every piece just right. Negatives: - People parking on the street instead of driving down the parking lot. I can see how you might think there isn't enough parking, but there actually is. Gives the place a crowded, unkempt look from the outside. - No toilets. - Wasn't too crowded, but clearly a big draw, so it wasn't exactly tranquil either. Overall, just come on down. read more

Love this park! Love the fake grass instead of grass or dirt and the recylced tires you see at most parks! Everything is brand new and it's huge. Great walking trail and cute trunk swing. I love the fake grass hill and how clean the park is. My 4 year old loved the unique slide and the circular swing where you can lay down or swing with a buddy. read more
