In this complex there is also a volleyball court, a walking trail, a 1/2 basketball court, a beautiful little lake with a rock fountain great for photo opps, and four tennis courts! When it is not summer this place quiets down and the pool area is not open but the other recreation areas are. Here's a tip: reserve court time ahead online at the CR website. Look out for the people trying to pull wool over your eyes when they tell you they've reserved the court (that you know is false since YOU actually reserved it). All it takes is a quick look up online to see if they indeed reserved the court.. 7/10 times they have. Some people reserve two courts when they only use one but in those situations it is A OK to stay put until the other guys arrive.. If they ever do.

I have a 9 year old daughter who tried a trial class and loved it as well, but she's in gymnastics and I only can afford one recreational activity for each child at the moment. Anywho... I love the fact that the coaches make the kiddos wash their hands upon entering. Afterwards, they head to the waiting area to get ready for class. The class is an hour long and the kids get to do quite a bit. There are climbing areas, ropes, bars, jump stations, and other spots for them to switch to. They start off with some cardio to get their little hearts racing. Normally, it's a few laps around the gym and some lunges or something similar. After that, they stretch and then get assigned to groups. Each group goes to a different station for around 5-7 minutes or so and then they switch until they've gone to all of the stations. They normally have a water break after the first half of class and then they head back to continue. The coaches are very nice and VERY patient. I've seen a few kiddos misbehave and the coaches have always remained calm while pulling them aside and talking to them for a bit. The age range from what I can see is from around 4-12/13 and all the kids always seem to be super excited when they arrive. If you're looking for something for your kiddo to enjoy that's fun and affordable, try this place out. It's 90/month for a weekly hour-long class and your child gets a shirt for registering. This place is clean, fun, and priced just right. You can't go wrong if you choose to come.

They have mini golfing where you can rent equipment inside the facility. They have a great playground area and outdoor fitness equipment. Inside the facility, they have a free pool and gym area. They offer a variety of classes such as yoga, water aerobics, etc. Make sure to check out their website or pick up their schedule at the facility for hours of operation. For first timers, you will have to fill out a form and don't forget to bring a large sized towel for workouts! There's a really great large dog park next door but there's no entrance to the dog park from Mary Jo Peckham. You would have to park at the Katy Library to enter the dog park. I can't speak much about the waterpark since I came for Bark n' Waves with my dog. They had the…read morewave pool, splash pad open for the doggos. Also a few vendors like Pet Suites, Rover Oaks, and a few vets in the area. My dog had a great time. However, I do wish they would put some temporary doggy bag stations since not everyone picked up after their dogs unfortunately. Tickets were $5 per dog and comes with a human ticket. Their check in process was quick, a waiver is required to be signed prior to entry. Parking was free and plenty, there were a fee concessions stands open offering funnel cakes, ice cream, fries and tots. I like how you can bring a reusable water bottle to refill using their drink station. My dog had a time running around and barking at everything. May return for future Bark N' Waves events.

I decided not to change my clothes as I felt uncomfortable doing so. I told guest services and they said they would handle it. We came back today, and OMG, the same slats were bent and there were even more openings. people were peeking into the stalls and giggling and laughing. The doors would not lock, so people were opening the doors, exposing 8-12 year old boys to the crowds. finally, I managed to get into a stall, I am an adult, so I tried to change out of my bathing suit into my clothes. i turned away from the door and tried to hold the handle with my hand as the door would not lock. the kids outside the door were laughing as they could see my butt through the bent slats and they were laughing and making comments. and they kept trying to open the door, which I was trying to hold closed...... totally inappropriate. I told guest services and the girl said "ok, I will pass your comments on to management" and then went back to chatting with her friends. the other adults with me reported similar issues, being exposed as others opened doors that would not lock or comments from kids that were peering through the bent slats..... not ever going back here again. and if you go, I recommend you take a buddy to the bathroom to block the door and prevent others from peeking into and seeing you change clothes

I love the quiet room with the Jacuzzi in it. It's so freaking relaxing. I also like that they have a steam room and a sauna. I love the steam room. If you have eucalyptus oils, I suggest to get a towel and put it on the towel( personal wash cloth) , walk in and kinda inhale it while you in there with the steam. 10/10 !!!! I also like to take showers here lol I've never been to a gym and was excited to take a shower after working out in pool because most of the times gyms don't keep up their bathrooms . But not this gym.! They're about $10 a day which I pay because I don't have a membership and just can't afford one right now but I do come once a month. I do have a jump at my complex so I kind of just come here for the serenity of it.

She "accidentally " forgot to mention that her husband cornered us outside of the bathroom, calling us the B word and cussing at us in Spanish in front of their 6 year old. Not to mention that they brought in the attached toy and let their daughter shake it the ENTIRE competition. All of our videos with our daughter competing have that noise continuously in the background. I suggest having staff in the parents section to monitor this type of behavior. I would take any of her complaints with a grain of salt in the future.

The gym did not have enough chairs or viewing area for everyone to see the competition. The gym itself has no A/C in the loft that was packed. This gym should not be allowed to host competitions. The meet director did nothing about a parent (not her child she was just annoyed) that cussed a 6 year old gymnast out.
