No trip to seaside is complete without a visit to this place. They always have something new and amazingly still have a working Dance Dance Revolution machine. The ticket system at the end is always nice if you're looking for a souvenir tootsie roll or shot glass. read more

When it's busy don't bother with going in. The people at the restaurant are rude and treat you like garbage because they have money coming in from everyone else. We tried to sit at a table and a man that smelled like he had too much to drink put about 15 cups empty half full some from his table on ours. Upon trying to clear the table off I spilled one right at the entry way and one of my kids tried to get someone to clean it up and got rudely treated. I then said something and was completely disrespected also and I was just trying to make sure no one fell and got hurt but to no avail was still treated like garbage. I should have just let someone fall a sue the hell out of the place cause they didn't care and treated me and my family horribly. Don't waste your time go somewhere else that treats everyone like they matter. read more

this place mostly has games for older kids...id say 8+ years old. I have a 2 and a 4 year old. We were able to still play on 2-3 games, but everything else was way over their mind capacity. The fun plus side is, my nephew played one of those claw toy games 7 times and won 5 out of the 7 times!... my daughter played 3 times and won once!... read more

Visit every year but last visit almost all the games were $1 each! Only a very few were $.50 or $.25. Had to cut our time short. Disappointing. That being said, place was clean, and all the games were in working other. Friendly and helpful staff. Skip the arcade games and focus on the "Fascination" game where you roll the ball into a bingo-like board. Addictive and very fun. read more

Honestly it wasnt a bad arcade. Lots of variety of games to play. Usually I play one or two and let the kids enjoyed, however I got a few games in as well. Lots of people but it didn't seem crowded or overpack. I hate crowds and was pleasantly surprised. 3 kids, $30 for the day and they were all pretty happy. Also my 11, 9 and 8 year old had no problem picking their prizes. They all were pretty content with what they got. read more

I love this place! For $20 you can spend several hours playing pinball, ski-ball, old arcade games, and my personal favorite "Deal or No Deal." Then make the day of the closest kid to you when you hand him the handful of tickets you have won and have no use for. They have some great photo booths where you can produce picture of you and a love one at the south pole with a baby seal. Then get a huge laugh when your sister asks you when the picture I was taken. I can't attest to the food service, as we've never really tried it out. But its usually pretty busy, so I imagine it can't be awful. The only bummer is that the guys working there, for the most part, are less than thrilled to be there. So minus one star for that. But overall a great place to visit and spend a couple hours on a rainy day at the coast. read more

They have all kinds of games here, way more than traditional arcades I've been to: skeeball, basketball, horse racing, token drivers, whack-a-mole (or alligator in this place), etc. They also have air hockey tables and an indoor bumper 'boat' ride. They have a wall of Deal or No Deal games that actually had a line going. If your thing is to just win as many tickets as possible, they have a lot of rapid-play games. My son was enviously eyeing the monstrous pile of tickets some guy won for his kids. This place takes up essentially two buildings worth, complete with a pizzeria inside and kind of an 'adults-only' rolling ball derby room (I say that only because I never once saw a kid playing those games.) It's loud and packed- exactly what you expect an arcade to be. It's not too expensive, and a very nice new addition are the card swipers. You don't use tokens for all of the games (perhaps not even for most of them), you use a debit-like card that you load money onto at kiosks. So instead of popping tokens into a broken machine and waiting for the attendant to eventually find you to get your money back, the swipers are lit red for a broken machine. You also get your balance each time you swipe the card, letting you know how much you have remaining. (Very clever- have people use a card instead of tokens. They'll spend more.) We found this place to be the most crowded at the beginning of the day and the crowd level tapered off by late afternoon. One negative I can think of was that I witnessed more than a few people standing by their machines, waiting for the tickets to be reloaded, and we were gypped out of a few of them as well. But the prize redemption area was well staffed and very generous to a little boy who was just a few points shy of the prize he really wanted (thanks!) We've come here every year and will continue to every year hereafter. read more

Wow. What a place. Not only is there a Fultano's Pizzeria conjoined, but a drinking fountain, too. Not very often do you see free water at such high end establishments. Did I mention the games? Riveting, exhilarating, pleasureful, you name it. These games will give it to you. read more

Lame. I drove to Seaside on a Tuesday to play Fascination. I had called to ask what time Fascination opened/closed, the person replied daily until 11pm. I was met with little empathy when I arrived and was told they changed the hours/days of Fascination to Monday - Friday. Screw you Funland. read more

Fun! A great way to kill a few hours with kids. This place is massive and exceptionally clean. A big reason why I like this place though is because at most arcades, you get those crappy little like dollar store prizes, well Funland actually has some legit stuff worth playing for. And for adults too for that matter. I would suggest going on weekday during the day because it seems that every other times are super packed and not very much fun. Love it! Ok, this place is way fun. And I don't have kids. I ain't got no shame! They have a ton of games - from the classic Skee Ball to more recent Fruit Ninja. There are easy games for the kiddos, and games that higher skill levels can enjoy too. The games aren't super spendy either, you can have fun for $10, but if you want to spend a good amount of time there, prepare to drop more cash. And yes, they do have some decent prizes to play for. My group walked away with a Seaside coffee mug to remember the trip by, an Oregon State and 49ers shot glass, a frisbee to toss around on the beach, and some candy. TIP: A couple machines promise a huge amount of tickets as a bonus if you make a certain goal, but they don't pay out automatically (the "knock down all the hissing cats" game comes to mind). You have to go tell an attendant, and they'll pony up the the tickets. Also, the pizza place next door has some great pizza. Expensive, yes, but good. read more

This is a great well kept arcade with amazing prices. Their ticket system is a bit outdated and they had a few out of order stuff, but overall a great arcade with your typical games and candy prizes. I couldn't believe how affordable the games were! All the games were 50cents-$1! And the bumper cars (although really tiny) was only $2 during their special (I think it's usually ($2.50). The arcades where I live are way more spendy than this! So it was shocking to see how affordable this was to have a good time. read more

Every year, my boyfriend's family goes to seaside each year for the HAM radio convention. And each year we go here at least once! We usually have a great time, it's always more busy in the afternoon, but they are open late and it's slower at night. The two arcades we go to our this and Big Al's in Portland, so it's really the only thing I have to compare it to. They use pretty much the same system as Big Al's, you use a card that you can register and add money and tickets to. You've got to add money to the card and then scan it for tokens. We usually pay token games. The only negative difference is that you get printed tickets after you add tickets to the machine, where at Big Al's you are able to just scan your card, and don't have to bug people at the redemption counter. Personally they do not have as many nice token games as I'd like, but on the flip side they've got a lot of good regular games to play. And on our visit today we had to wait an awful lot time for someone to fix the game we were playing when it stopped spitting out tickets, you definitely get faster service at Big Al's. We will keep coming every year to have some fun! read more

Try: Fascination ($0.25 per game / avg) Seaside's Funland follows suit with many of today's arcades: load up a game card with credit to play video games and ticket-producing games and cash in those hard earned tickets for a medium sized tootsie pop and a rubber bracelet. Open fairly late, its a good source of entertainment for adults and kids alike when most other shops close down on the main drag. Video game selection was fair though not terribly diverse: (I think there was 3 versions of Time Crisis and 3 versions of Tekken) and ranged from $0.25 to $4.00 or so. There's candy claw drops, skee ball, bumper "boats", and a pizza joint with some standard suds (which I did not visit). The real hero of Funland is the Fascination parlor. It's a rare bird, only seen at a few boardwalk arcades across the nation - but full of fun and nostalgia. The strange lovechild of Skee Ball and BINGO, this game ranges from $0.25 to a $1.00 (cash only) for a variety of game types (5 across, blackout, etc.). Its uniqueness, cost, and gameplay make Funland as a whole, a must visit while in Seaside. Pros: Large building, helpful staff, and FASCINATION! Cons: Not diverse game selection, can be expensive. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go in Seaside. It's fun from ages 1-99. They have a wide variety of games - skeeball, pinball, shooting and racing games etc. Most places in Seaside aren't open late and this is one of the places that is. Even though I only went with my husband we still had just as much fun winning tickets so we could trade them in for licorice ropes. It's also nice that we don't have to stock up on quarters since all their games are run by a game card you can load at a machine with your credit card or cash. read more

Walking around downtown, we saw this arcade and thought it would be fun to play some games. So glad we did. This place was huge and a great selection of new and old games. It had my favorites; skee ball and air hockey. A fun place to go even if you don't have kids! They have a food court as well which we didn't partake in but it looked and smelled good. Instead of using coins for the games you could put money on one of their cards using your credit/debit card. Each time you swiped your card on the game it would flash and tell you how much you had left. I thought that was very handy! Would definitely come here again when in Seaside. read more

Funland arcade's hours are open until 10pm. We arrived 29 minutes BEFORE closing and the play card kiosks were turned off. After finding an attendant she tells us she can't sell us a play card because they are closing at ten. I asked her why they can't sell us a card when it's 27 minutes before closing. She then finds someone with authority who tells me the games shut off 15 minutes before closing so they clean. Issue 1: you close at 10. Games should be available until 10 then you clean after closing. Issue 2: we had 27 minutes before closing. We had almost 15 minutes to play. She agreed to sell us a card with us knowing they were closing soon. They get 2 stars for selling us a card so my son could play. If your hours are until 10pm, you need to be OPEN until 10pm. Clean after closing or adjust your operating hours to reflect the time games shut off. We gifted a teenager with the remainder of our play card to use later since we were leaving town in the morning. read more

The Funland Arcade is a staple of my trips to Seaside. I go from the Seattle area down to Seaside probably 2-3 times each summer. Let me start of with the good. This place is very fun with a great variety of games. The Fascination game is awesome and both ends of the arcade have lots of great games. I find that I could spend hours here if I really wanted to without spending a fortune as the games are reasonably priced. Here's a couple of things from my recent trip. 1. Your handling of everything due to Covid is very hit and miss. The spaced out Fascination game is a good touch and adding hand sanitizer all around the building is nice. I saw employees walking around with cleaning supplies both times I came during my visit. However, your hand sanitizer constantly runs out without replenishing. At one point I had to go to 4 different hand sanitizer stations just to find a machine that actually had sanitizer. I spent about an hour and a half at the arcade on one visit and at least one sanitizer machine I attempted to use 4 times was never replenished, even after I alerted an employee carrying cleaning supplies. Also the employees who are walking around with cleaning supplies don't particularly seem to know what to clean. They just kind of walk around aimlessly. 2. Employee professionalism. I'll be blunt, I don't know how many supervisors you have in total but you have two for sure that are not friendly. I witnessed one supervisor scold an employee in front of several customers and another employee. It was uncomfortable and seemed like a desperate attempt at a power trip. From listening in on the scolding, your supervisor was purely nitpicking, as an outsider. If someone at my job talked to me like that over something so little, I probably would have considered walking out on the spot. The employee took it fine, however, then went up to the other employee in the area and started trash talking the supervisor once he left the area. I think that's a fine reaction because no one wants to deal with that stuff, but your staff should be mindful that the customers can hear them. A different supervisor was at the prize counter when I went the next day. His shirt said supervisor so that's how I know. He was just very impatient and off putting. Didn't necessarily do anything bad, just seemed very annoyed and was rude to customers in line who went before me and then rude to me as well. That's mostly it for now. This is a great place to while away a little time with kids. Ten dollars or so goes a long way on a rainy afternoon. It's not suitable for pre-schoolers, but grade school kids can have fun with skee-ball and some of the pinball machines. More of the games are oriented to teenagers or those of us with arrested development. It's well organized with the swipe card system to pay for the games with minimal handling of cash. read more

Normally I enjoy most arcades, but I have to say that this business was not up to expectations. Many of their units were not working. I enjoy shooting games and air hockey the most. Sad to say that the air hockey tables were in bad shape. Holes in the air table, pucks getting caught in the goal, and hard to read numbers on the LCD scoreboard. The staff here is wonderful!! I lost my purse with my valuables in it, and I asked the arcade workers if anyone had turned it in to lost and found. After explaining the description of the bag, they did the absolute most to help me find it. They contacted what seemed to be all of their staff members in the search for the missing purse. After about an hour of searching with their help, we found the bag. It had been turned into a pizza place next door, and we assumed it had been stolen and turned back in. If it weren't for them, I would've lost my phone, money, etc! read more

Talk about Nostalgia! Boyfriend, his son and I come here whenever visiting Seaside. It allows boyfriend to be the same age as his son (8) especially when slamming into people in the bumper cars. Tilt-a-whirl (I think that is what its called) brings back such memories of my father and sisters at the local fair. The price is great! Boyfriend and son have such a great time here without breaking the bank. It is fun for me to see them be such children laughing and cutting up. The only negative is I hold the dogs on leashes just outside and having a bench would be nice. Considering the boys will spend hours on the bumper cars alone. ;-) Hahaha Have fun folks! read more

i remember coming here a few years back and had a great time... only this time it was a bit different. last time I came was before COVID and now coming back during COVID my mindset has changed about this place. Its always crowded and there doesn't seem to be a limit to people in the facility. Not sure if they clean or do much after it closes but I think this place could definitely handle COVID better. Overall it was fun but I'm a bit worried I have COVID with all the people that were there. read more

This place is amazing. It has tons of games to entertain little kids and big kids alike. My personal favorite is the Fascination game room because the game was an old favorite from my childhood trips to Indiana Beach in Indiana. It's the game where you roll balls into a bingo type set of holes trying to get five in a row or four corners. If I could give 0 stars I would. Customer service was horrible. We arrived at least an hour and a half after opening and there was no staff to be seen or help and half of the machines weren't even on. As we were playing air hockey, an off-the-clock worker saw my friend playing the game handling one of the handles and the lady told him to stop in a very rude and angry manner right as she walked in through the back door (which was fine, she's trying to do the job she's not clocked in for), but then she turns back around out of spite and yanked it out of his hand which is way out of line and extremely disrespectful. My two friends and I all work in customer service and you definitely do not touch a customer for any reason. This place definitely needs better staff with better attitudes otherwise don't work or visit there. I will not be coming back to such a disrespectful, disgusting place. read more

On a chilly memorial day weekend in Seaside, this is one of the best things going. It's not terribly expensive, the card (rather than token/coin) system is easy to use, and it has enough older games to be nostalgic while also offering enough newer games to be relevitant. It is well kept up. The prizes are super silly (and some don't make a lot of sense...like athletic pre-tape for 198 points...huh?) and an hour passes before you even know it (for about 10 bucks for 2 people, in our case.) The only thing I would change is giving out tickets for the hoops game!! :) read more
