If you are debating if you should do this or not, JUST DO IT!!! They do a great job easing you into zip lining with the small lines first (to get you comfortable and trusting your gear). It took our group about 2'ish hours to complete the course and was well worth the money spent. Our guides were very friendly and the equipment all seemed fairly new. Our group got along really well and we all had a lot of fun. The very last line you are given the opportunity to do the Zwing. I highly recommend you put your hesitation aside and go for it. Fantastic company! Our guides were super friendly, patient and relatable through the whole tour! We were a group of 4 & 3 other folks, a lot of us in the group were first timers, and not once were we made to feel unsafe or irrationally frightened. These guys and gals are great guides, the ziplines are worth every penny, and this is coming from a gal who's severely afraid of heights! You have some pretty cool ziplines that they encourage you to play little games and offer a variety of experiences! One in particular allows you to zip over a pond that you can stay above completely, drag your hand across the water, dip your feet in, or completely dunk you! I did the dunk and it was SUPER FUN!! At the end, you have the option to zip down across the lake with a normal hookup, or you can do the Zwing! This place is so much fun. The guides do an awesome job of keeping the whole experience both safe and funny. (It's kind of like being on The Jungle Cruise - each staff member has their own version of corny jokes to keep it light.) We have been twice, in July 2022 and July 2023. Both experiences were awesome! Unfortunately, they lost their main building in a fire and haven't been able to rebuild yet, but they quickly constructed makeshift huts for check-in and equipment storage and brought in a portable restroom trailer. Our 4-year-old had been patiently waiting and weighing herself often so she could finally join the fun. Our guides today were Ryan, Andrew, and Zander on the 12pm tour. Last minute decision to go here on our last day of visiting the coast and got lucky we found an open spot. I want to say it was expensive but I got nothing to compare it with. In the end it was worth it. "Paris" and "Jackson" were our guides and really entertaining. We had 3 other groups in our time frame. We had a blast. A Fun afternoon. We decided to go zip lining for a girls weekend and it was well worth it. This was my first time zip lining and our guides Beau and Ollie were funny, professional, and made us feel safe. They are also a nice bit of eye candy along the course. The course itself is 8 lines and took a couple hours for the entire thing. You will have a small bit of hiking up steep hills to get to the next line so bring tennis shoes. Also it is a good idea to. The zip lines are great. The venue is close to town but you feel far way when your on the property. The staff was upbeat and fun. Cool restaurant building we just had the nacho's but they were good and the food around us looked really good. Fire pit area and ax throwing were great add to the adventure, The reason for the four was it felt a little weird when you get to the end of the zip line course and told oh by the way if you want to go down the long zip line it's an additional $29.00. It would have been nice to have been told that up front. Will be back and look forward to another fun filled afternoon. read more

Recently visited this zip line course while on a vacation via cruise ship. Got into Astoria and explored the town and the sights for awhile before it was time to head out to high life. We had about 45 minutes to secure our 10 minute drive to the site. With no Ubers or Lyfts in the area we called local taxi companies to find that every taxi in the city were booked with waiting lines of 14+ people and no ETA at all. The 2 cruises in port that day overwhelmed Astoria's small taxi operation. With hope lost, my girlfriend called high life adventures and explained we likely would not be able to make it in time for our reservation. They did one better, they connected their owner who was in town and she gave us a ride to zip line course! The staff at high life adventure are top tier and the 8 line course we did was super fun! Our guides were informative and entertaining, they really want their guests to build confidence on the course and feel secure with the equipment. I cannot recommend this place enough, especially if you can go in warmer weather as certain lines allow for a quick dip in the pond, should you chose to be so brave. read more

So, let's start with customer service. I made our reservation online for the WRONG DAY! They called looking for us on the day I'd reserved, and I panicked, because I know the tickets are non-refundable. But they were GREAT! The woman on the phone assured me that it was okay, she understood, and rebooked us on the RIGHT day, no charge, no hassle at all. On the appointed day, we arrived on time and had our little lesson on how everything worked and headed out with out two guides. WHAT A HOOT! It was SO much fun, and we had such a great time! My cute gf and I did the zipline tour yesterday, and it was off the hook! (so to speak... we stayed safely hooked on the whole time ;) She did the Hood to Coast, so I scheduled our tour as a fun thing to do while we were on the coast for a few days. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this place. It was truly a blast. I've been ziplining before (it was her first time) but High Life Adventures was the best ziplining experience ever. First off, if you're scared or hesitant - don't be. I'm a little bit scared of heights, but you quickly get over it. And the safety here feels top-notch. Any fear I had quickly went away when I saw how carefully the guides check each and every rider on each and every line before they give you the go ahead. The setting is beautiful. It's worth the money just to see the stunning Oregon woodlands and the owner/operator's awesome house on the lake. Even though you're close to town, you feel like you're hundreds of miles away from it all. There are ospreys that nest in these woods... we saw them flying high above - as well as some bald eagles - which was an extra bonus. Most importantly, the guides were a blast. Trey and Paris were our tour guides - and they were so much fun. They were young and full of energy, and you could tell they really cared about their jobs... I'm sure that, like any job, even being a zipline tour guide gets monotonous... but they were true professionals. In a way, their jobs are a kind of performance - they deliver great jokes and talk about the property itself (which, again, is absolutely stunning). I hope the owners of High Life Adventures appreciate Trey and Paris; they were truly outstanding. In summary, if you're thinking about taking the tour - just do it. We had a TON of fun, met some great people, and loved every minute of it. And when you've done the last (and longest) line, you can stop off at the Zip & Sip bar and have a cold one! My husband and I went here as part of our cruise package on The American Empress. Although there were 220 passengers on board, only eleven of us were crazy enough to sign up for this experience that most of us felt, on some level, we really shouldn't be doing in our "Golden Years". We left the boat as eleven strangers in a van that was very quiet with each of us wondering what we had gotten ourselves into. However, we had two brothers with us in their early nineties and we all felt if they could do it, so could we! My husband had done it years ago with the Boy Scouts here in Sonoma County, CA, but in order to zip you first have to climb up into the canopy of our Giant Redwoods.At 74, I have mobility issues that would preclude me from ever doing that, but before making our reservation, I learned that at HLA you can rent an ATV that will take you from one station to the next. After arriving, we met the staff who got us geared up while explaining the safety rules and telling us that we would have to do "absolutely nothing". They would do it all. Cool! I met Ollie who would be my driver, and by the third station, There wasn't an empty seat in the ATV as the other ladies discovered that the mountain trails were no joke! I liked sharing as I felt less like an invalid... The first runs are easy, but folks mostly held on with both hands and kept their eyes closed. When we discovered we were still alive at the other end we got much braver. By the third run we were hanging upside down with no hands and loving every minute! The runs got longer, steeper and faster and all eleven of us began cheering each other on. Even the ones who swore they were afraid of heights forgot that as they were lost in the moment and the Beauty of their surroundings. By the time we reached the longer lines we were having so much fun we looked like some sort of crazy Cirque de Soleil! When we reached the very top of the sixty foot tower,Logan explained that the two 1500 ft. parallel lines could be used for racing across the lake and a couple of our group (including my husband) decided to do that. He also explained that for the "more adventurous" you could sign a waver, pay another $29. and do a thing called the ZWING which entailed hitching yourself to a 20ft. Web rope attached to the far line and just stepping off the tower. He said It wasn't for the faint of heart. Any takers? We all stepped back. We thought it sounded like bungee jumping without the spring. I asked for a demonstration and he obliged by clipping into the line. However,instead of just stepping off, he walked all the way to the far end of the tower making the rope tight and THEN he stepped off. There was no big jolt,just a big, crazy swing back and forth as he traveled down across the lake. I decided I could do that. So I quickly signed the form before I lost my nerve and before I knew it I was standing on the edge of the tower looking w a y down. I took a deep breath and stepped off into nothing. It was WONDERFUL! Look Mom, no hands. Instead of going straight down the line, I swung back and forth over half way down and then I straightened out in plenty of time to be caught by the guys below. My new friends were waiting at the bottom, cheering me on while I was grinning from ear to ear. It was truly the most fun day ever. For doing the ZWING I was awarded a bright green silicone bracelet that I wore for the rest of the trip. Everyone up there recognizes those bracelets and I was stopped many times by people who wanted to know how I liked it and if I would do it again. I hated for the day to end because although I thought I might be sore, it was my face that was sore from laughing so much. I loved this so much I could do it every day and twice on Sundays. I had to admit it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on! read more

Wow. What I can I say? I made reservation quite a while ago for my family of 4. Luckily the day was beautiful and sunny. We arrived on time and got set up with our harness. I have a challenged Son (27 yrs) who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheel chair, so I thought this might be a challenge for the High Life Adventures team. I asked question about how you get on to the cable and were there mounds to walk up and could he use his wheel chair, etc. They had a 4 seater ATV that I reserved for $40.00 so they had a very nice young man chuffer us from start to finish as needed. The best $40 I've ever spent. The crew that made this event happen so seamlessly were safe and professional and at no time did we ever think we/he were in a risky situation. If I could give them 10 stars I would. My son has never every done anything like this before and he has not stopped smiling. read more

A group of us were in Astoria on May 3, 2017, on a Port Day during a coastal cruise on Princess. When we were planing out the things to do on our Port Days I was researching Astoria I saw High Life Adventures. I love Zip Lines so I went on line to make a reservation. It surprised me that there were no reservations available for May 3rd, so I gave them a call. I spoke to a female and when I told her we were in town on a cruise Port day, she was surprised and had not known the Ruby Princess was going to be in that day. She explained that they were having a training day on the 3rd, but would speak to her boss about it. I received a call back withing a few minutes and was told they were going to change the training day and open up for business. I was very happy and quickly made our reservations. I have to say that the customer service at High Life Adventures is second to none. From the moment my friend and I arrived we felt welcome. The business was easy to find and was about a 15 minute drive from the Cruise Port in Astoria. Beau and Jessica were our instructor/guides and were both great at their jobs. My friend was pretty apprehensive but they talked to him and their demeanor helped him to get over his nerves and go on the lines, They both worked together to make sure our rigs were on correctly and then explained the course rules and regulations. The zip lines themselves are great. There are hills to walk up to get to most of them, but nothing too steep or long. All the trails are clear and easy to see. The lines are well maintained. Once again, Beau and Jessica were awesome during the "zips". Their banter back and forth was great and sometimes even hilarious. They worked well together as a team and our safety was their #1 concern. If you get the chance to do the Zwing swing on the final zip line, DO IT! It was the best! We had planned this trip way in advance not knowing what we were getting ourselves into. At first, we saw the high life adventure park in seaside, and then we saw that they had ZIPLINING too in Warrenton. In the end, it turned out to be an amazing experience! The fog added a bit of spookiness to the speed of going down the lines which made it even more enjoyable.
