So let me just start with this, it takes quite a bit to make me leave a bad review but this place right here has been a nightmare. We found the RV we wanted, we were told we had to put a $500 down fully refundable payment to ensure a hold on the RV we wanted while all the paperwork was being processed, this was on a Saturday. I asked for paperwork showing the interest rate we qualified for and payment amount so we could discuss over the weekend about our options and rates. I was told by our sales person that their financial manager was at their home store in Cleburne and would contact me Monday with the details, I reluctantly went ahead and put the $500 hold deposit on the RV and we drove home. Fast forward to the following Monday they called with a higher interest rate than they were even advertising and I told them at this point that we were going to pass on the rv. I also requested at this time to refund my money. My banking institution had a 72 hour hold on my funds so if they would have initiated the refund on Monday as requested, the money would have never processed through, instead Monday afternoon they called me back again and once again I told them we were not buying the RV at that interest rate and refund our $500. Instead they contact us again on Tuesday asking if we were refusing the RV actually because of the interest rate or was it because we didn't like something about it, I again stated the interest rate and to please refund our money. On Wednesday the general manager sends me a message stating he was able to get us a much lower rate and let him know if we were interested in the rv. I sent him back a message and once again stated we were no longer interested in that RV and we just wanted our refundable hold deposit back The GM failed to respond back. My $500 payment ended up depositing into their account on Wednesday because they failed to reverse it after being told several times to refund the payment. So here we are into the second week still trying to get our money back. FYI this has been a hard lesson but please never ever put a hold deposit on any RV and especially not at this establishment. There was several other conversations that transpired all last week that I will not go into detail on this forum but 100% ensured us that we made the correct decision to stop all business transactions with this company. read more

I purchased a travel trailer that was sold as new and it, in fact, was obviously not new when everything was hooked up. During the walk through, the water did not come on, I was told the water was off outside so I stayed "It is a brand new trailer, it should be good, right?". They advised me that they had it on earlier and it was fine. Being a woman and not ever owning a travel trailer before, I took them for their word that it was good. HUGE MISTAKE. Relocated to Utah in a a few weeks later and the water wouldn't work. Huge hole in the line to the hot water heater among other things. $1,300 so far out of pocket and that's just scratching the surface on all that is wrong with it. They advised that due to freeze it was my fault that it happened. Not once did they ask if I needed it rewinterized, know it was going to Utah where it's cold. Kitchen and shower faucets were leaking when water finally got fixed, not enough water pressure to even ignite the hot water heater. Underbelly is going to have to be torn out to figure out why there is no pressure. Complete nightmare 20 hours from home. there is no way all these issues are from a "new" travel trailer that they said it was. read more

Judging from all the other 1-star reviews, it looks like Funtown RV-Waco could absolutely care less about their customers. I had a control board failure for my furnace control that went out just before the snow hit. After finding a local mobile repair group (especially since Funtown service was of such little help), I've now gotten the repair completed. Did I mention that this is a 10-month old 2024 model I purchased from Funtown WITH an extended warranty? Three emails to try and get reimbursement and Amanda (Funtown Service Manager) hasn't even had the decency to respond. When I spoke with her over a month ago, the concern was that Funtown needed to have confirmation of reimbursement from Forrest River first. Did I purchase the warranty from Forrest River?...NO! Did I send all pictures, part info, and quotes directly to Amanda?...YES! Is the ghosting of a customer acceptable...NO! And (if and when Amanda ever decides to respond) will I accept that she's waiting on the manufacturer?...HELL NO! Not my first run-in with these incompetent service people since I bought the coach but this kind of rude/no-response behavior passes incompetent and goes straight into juvenile. What a poor excuse for a service team!!! read more

For my annual 15 pt inspection they and other places said there was about a 2 month wait but Waco said they could call me if there was a cancellation! I have been told hundreds of times that I would be called back for a cancellation and never had been in 50 yrs. They actually called me the next day had had me in within two days. I figured it would be a one or two week process, but they got my RV cleaned, inspected, Winterized, and taken care of in less than 3 hrs. I know there are a lot of bad reviews with FunTown RV, I personally have not had that experience. The service dept was very friendly, professional, and prompt. I hope to have continued service like this with the rest of my RVing needs. read more

First, let me say that we just purchased a new RV from Fun Town RV of Waco on 9/18/2017. When spending over $60,000 on an RV the experience should be excellent. I've never had such an indifferent and basically poor experience when purchasing anything of higher dollar value. I give our experience 3 stars ONLY because of Jason, the guy who did our walk through with us. He was the only person who even acted like he cared about us as the customer and yet he's probably one of the lowest paid employees. Frank, the salesman wasn't interested in us any longer after we purchased the RV. He didn't come out for the walk through and never bothered to check on us. Our appointment to pick up our RV was for 9:00 am. He informed us that they were running behind and we never saw him again until 11:30 when we decided to leave because things still weren't up to par and He happened to be standing outside. If your looking for great customer service this is not the place to go. As for our new RV, only a couple if things fell off inside as we're taking it home. We will be be taking it out camping soon. Hopefully, it will go well and we won't ever have to return to Fun Town RV because our experience was far from being fun!! read more

We stopped by Fun Town RV and spoke to the guy in the parts department. We described the part that we needed. Without searching the "parts guy" told us it would take months to get that part in. We left flustered. Once we got home we searched the Internet and found the part on our own. Fun Town RV gets a THUMBS DOWN from me. Find another rv dealership to buy from or for repairs. There's a good reason why they have so many one star reviews. One of their technicians did some moonlight work replacing a water heater in my fifth wheel. Didn't work. Refused to come back out and fix. I found that he had wired it incorrectly. Water heater now working. Makes me wonder what type of work he does when he is "on the clock". No cleanup of jobsite, ect. My daughter just bought a NEW fifth wheel from. them and after Fun Time set it up at an rv resort.....problems started occurring. All warranty work. Daughter called for a technician........that was three weeks ago. No one has shown up yet. I would strongly suggest looking at another dealer for your rv needs. read more

This is a message I posted far and wide on social media to warn others. BUYER BE WARE: FUN TOWN WACO, TX - CASTLE ROCK TIRES - FOREST RIVER PALOMINO PUMA Hey folks, just a warning. I know many of you are aware of the poor quality of the newer RVs these days and the industry's lack of response to consumers. I'm trying to get my dealership and the tire manufacturer to stand up and do the right thing. I need to incentivize them both by yelling from the top of my lungs. AVOID! I had a blowout yesterday on tires with less than 10K miles on them on a less than year old 5th wheel. The blowout ripped out some flooring, damaged the undercarriage and trim, while pulling wires out from the other side of the carriage. If you buy an RV, and they have CASTLE ROCK tires, insist that they be changed out. I'm going to be out $650 tomorrow for new tires and hundreds more to fix the damage. Despite that, thank God I wasn't injured and I didn't hit anyone on the road. I have a feeling these companies will wait until the worse happens. Well, I don't want to die to enact change! Demand better quality. It's pretty well known on the forums that these Chinese made tires are inferior. I wish I had known, now you do. Please enact caution. The tow truck said the tire looked like dry rot. I bought the rig 10 months ago. New. RV manufactures are getting away with this because of demand. My dealership denies responsibility because he's "Just the dealer". Yep, selling rigs with tires that blowout way prematurely, risking your customers' lives. Just the dealer. BE WARE good people. We were halfway through a 2 month road trip when one of the ACs stopped working. Forrest River website said I had to find one of their dealers for warranty work. FT was the next closest. When I called, I got to Amanda pretty quick and she told me it would be impossible to even look at it for at least two months! While that is a horrible response, it's industry standard so I asked for suggestions. She was able to explain my options over the phone and even forwarded them via email within minutes of our conversation. Not at all happy with the way RV dealers' service departments nationwide maintain such crazy backlogs, but at least FT was able and INTERESTED in helping me get my issue resolved. Kudos. read more
