Fultanos in Scappoose is definitely an upgrade from the Astoria restaurant. I'm not a fan of the Astoria location. But this one was clean, roomy and generally nice. The salad bar was good. They were continually refreshing the selections, & the greens were fresh and crisp...not one brown, wilty leaf of lettuce or spinach. I would have loved for a more varied array of greens, but the iceburg and spinach were do-able. There was a nice selection of other things, including cucumber, cherry tomatoes, carrots, onions...the usuals, as well as a pasta salad, fresh fruit salad, coleslaw, artichoke hearts, ham, eggs and more. They offered the typical salad dressings, minus French, which was a disappointment for me. You have a choice of all you can eat for 9.99 or a side salad one trip for 4.99. Along with the salad we ordered a personal sized pizza, which my husband enjoyed. My personal feeing about Fultano's pizza is not as high as my husband's. I feel like I'm eating a frozen DiGiornio's to be honest. The crust is not particularly appealing and the sauce bland. However, I am a self admitted pizza snob. The locals from this area seem to love it, so, who am I to argue. If you're used to good, genuine NY pizza don't eat here! Or, at the very least don't order the pizza. You will be disappointed. I wanted to try their French dip but they were out of roast beef, so that just added to my disappointment. I settled for the salad bar and bread sticks. The breadsticks had the taste and texture of store bought. Not bad, but certainly nothing to write home about. The marinara that came with it was good. Overall, I would probably not visit Fultanos again, but since my husband is a fan, I guess I'll have to. Hopefully they'll have roast beef the next time I'm there. Was fantastic to have a fresh salad bar available again! So many restaurants have discontinued that dining option. There were many pasta, veggie and salad options with cottage cheese, romaine and other greens sided with about 6 different dressings and humongous croutons! The individual pizza that my wife ordered was "amazing". Table service was attentive and both the restrooms and massive dining areas were spotless. Considering what Covid tried to do to this type of business, Fultano's has recovered nicely. read more

My son and daughter in law moved to Scapoose a year and a half ago and shortly after came here. They told us we would like it and asked us to join them, 4 or 5 times later i would agree. Fultanos has a bar on one side and lots of seating on the other. They have a good size salad bar, usually clean and kept up. Once it was destroyed, but they were busy, and they refilled it while we were there. The pizza is a cornbread crust- very reminiscent of most pizza parlors in the 70's and early 80's. It really brings me back to my childhood and youth flavor and texture wise. I really like the combination and the pepperoni - both excellent. If you are out in the area and are pizza hungry, Fultanos is a great place to go. Especially if you have a large group or family. read more

This read is important so you don't waste your time. The have a lunch buffet of pizzas and Salad. If you plan to order that, great. However, the buffet does not accommodate any food allergies, so I order a sandwich or a pizza from the menu. In that case: the service is extremely poor and slow. My husband and I were on our way back to the West side of Portland from scouting out good places to do nature photography and decided to stop in for our first time. We went here after going to a pumpkin patch trying to find some place to eat. Love it! The pizza was very very good. I ordered a Feta cheese pizza and it was delicious. We placed a pick up order, Halibut and Chips, French Dip and a burger. My husband went to pick it up and when he arrived home, no sauce! Neither for the French Dip (which it comes with!) or the tarter which I politely asked for. I should of went to Burger King,, again disappointing,, I had the French Dip. the beef tasted old,, the bread was not made for a French Dip,, plus it tasted more Italian taste,, with the crusted parmigiana topping,, the mozzarella sticks to weird,, the cheese inside was to soft like ricotta or cream cheese filling,, and grainy? It pains me to write this review as we have historically loved Fultano's. However, since Covid, the food and service has just never recovered. It is no longer my favorite pizza; it's now a "C" at best. And, in terms of the service; I'm lucky if they get my order correct and/or give me my complete order. I typically order takeout, because the service is not very good anymore. And yet, I still continue to have my order either made incorrectly or missing items. Unfortunately, when I bring this to their attention that I'm missing food I ordered and paid for, or that what I ordered was made incorrectly, there is barely an apology or even recognition that they messed up. There's no compensation for my time, inconvenience and frustration. I truly hope that this changes at some point, but I strongly encourage anyone who chooses to eat here, that they do so with caution. read more

The pizza and breadsticks came out pretty darn fast and was delicious. The only minor downside was the salad bar condiments. The lettuce and spinach seemed very crisp and fresh however the toppings/condiments were underwhelming in their freshness. To be fair, we arrived just 60-70 mins before they closed so, that likely played a role in the quality of items sitting out. My husband and I eat here (Scappoose) about once a week or so. Usually the pizza is really great. Once in awhile the red sauce seems different (maybe a supply chain issue?) and sometimes the green peppers are raw. Overall though this is a really good pizza. Staff is generally very nice and accommodating. Always happy to leave a decent tip for their great service! Also the salad bar has a lot of variety and is always fresh. Well. I would give a higher review... But I waited an hour for my order. I arrived 30 minutes after I placed my order, called to let them know I arrived in the pick up location... And 30 minutes still went by (I only ordered a pepperoni pizza and a sandwich). By the time they brought them out I saw numerous people drive into the other pick up spots, receive their food, and leave. I wouldn't be AS annoyed but when I got the food it had obviously been sitting for a while. The sandwich bread was completely soggy and falling apart and the pizza was barely warm. I grew up on Fultano's and still love it. It's a unique style of pizza to NW Oregon that you have to try if you haven't. It's the best. The staff at Scappoose is on their toes and super nice. It's not only a great place to have a bite for lunch or a dinner with family, but it works great for large get togethers as well. read more

We were driving a detour on the way home from camping and had to go down Hwy 30 which was not a hardship since the first thing I thought of was "now I had a legitimate reason to go to Fultanos in Scappoose". We have gone to their locations in Clatskanie & Seaside but their Scappoose location cannot be beat. We had a group of 7 - family from Sisters, OR with us that had never had this pizza before. The wait time was a little long but it was Mother's Day and noon on a Sunday so it was fine. They actually put us in their back room area and it was quiet. Our waitress was on it and very attentive. We all got pizza (except my oldest daughter got a calzone) and trip thru their salad bar. Their salad bar is top notch - although portions needed to be refilled and they only had "vanilla" frozen yogurt ( really wanted twist). Their pizza choices are plentiful and have a great variety. You cannot make a bad choice on any of their options. They gave out individual cheesecake pieces to Mother's which was a prefect compliment to the meal. Our family members were very impressed. We look forward to finding our way back out there as soon as we can read more
