I went the first evening they opened in Scappoose since it was less then a mile from home. They obviously needed sometime to get their bearings. My waitress has no serving experience. This is quite evident by her putting the beers down while holding the glass at the rims. She put my water straw on the tray with the beers ans the straw was soaked with beer. Oh, please, the water tasted like beer! like that was acceptable for a person that doesn't drink beer? They young man working with her in the same station admittedly said they had no trainer. The kitchen help look like babies ( I must be getting old). The food was coming out cold. We had a long wait for food, at least 45 minutes. I will try them again in a couple of weeks to be fair. The 2nd time (two weeks later), I went alone and sat in the bar. The bartender approached me quickly. Offered me a beverage and took my order immediately because I knew what I wanted. French Dip came out in good time and it was hot and delicious. Bartender filled my water glass every time he saw it almost empty. This experience was much much better. The bartender obviously had experience and I am glad I came back. The stars is a reflection of my average of my two visits. read more

Some of their food is better than other items. A lot of their sandwiches and entrees are decent/good. Their wings are pretty good. The salad bar is what you would expect. The prices are average, not too expensive, not pleasantly inexpensive, Ironically, their pizza is probably the weakest menu item. The sauce and cheese just taste like the cheapest expedients. The crust is average. I would recommend anything else on the menu prior to getting pizza. The restaurant itself always looks clean and comfortable (sometimes bad drafts from the AC system though). The servers have always been really pleasant. It's nice that they have a decent online ordering system in place, one of the very few (non-chain) places here in town that do. read more

We are not from the area and were taken here for lunch. Being a business meeting and on a timeline we all had the lunch buffet. My review covers only the salad bar and pizza bar so I can not comment on the rest of the menu. I understand the business is fairly new to the area. It is clean in and out. We arrived a few minutes before they opened on a Friday. With just a handful of people at opening, the restaurant was quite full when we left an hour and a half later. I thought that was great support from a small community and everyone seemed to enjoy their new restaurant. The bar had a nice selection of salads with 6 to 8 different pizzas to choose from. The pizza crust was not soggy and had some crunch and thought there where some good combinations. The drinks are brought to your table and the service was great cleaning off the plates as needed. With two big screen TVs on each side of the restaurant you could catch a good game if you sit in the right booth. The screens are above the booths instead of on the opposite side. You either need good eyes to see the one on the far corner of the building or twist to look behind you. Like the young boy that sat in the adjoining booth. I did not mind he kept turning around, he just looked uncomfortable needing to turn his whole body and sit on his knee so he could see. The screen was just above us in the corner booth and for us to see the game we had to watch the screen on the other corner of the building. 40 feet. My wife and I moved here over two years ago and we absolutely love this place. They hire good kids that are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. When we moved to Scappoose, we were hauling and unloading late into the evenings and we sometimes staggered into Fultano's near closing time and exhausted. We always were treated with a smile and a willingness to feed us even when it was close to locking locking the doors. One of my favorite pizza places. However, It may be nostalgic for me. I used to live out of state, but we would visit every summer. We would drive to cannon beach and normally have a lunch or dinner at fultanos. I always looked forward to having their pizza next to the ocean. Now I live so close to one I can get this excellent pizza once a month. Also, if you are a ranch on pizza person, their ranch is almost (if not) a perfect combo for their pizza. So I recently ordered online expecting a quick and easy snack from a pizza place in my small town to only end up waiting over 2 hours (2 hours and a half to be exact) for a grilled chicken salad just to find out that my chicken was extremely fatty and very pink. Based solely on delivery it's a solid 4 Star pizza place. Driver was great, delivery time a bit longer, but hey it's not a $10 Pizza! The food itself was quite good, nothing over the top or foodie, but good classic pizza with a really good crust, just enough cheese and toppings were above par. Looking at the rest of the menu it's safe to say dining in will be our next attempt and I'm expecting it to bring that extra fifth star to the table. read more

Very, very broken hearted to write a review for my small town pizza company that I have been a big customer of for years... For years, Fultanos has been the small-town pizza place we have gone to for pizza and food supply for our game nights. We love the taco pizza, porky pig, and other eclectic pizza choices. They have added additional items, including sandwiches and nachos. We ordered sandwiches and nachos, in addition to pizza and soda, for another routine game night. Apparently, the mere presence of nachos and sandwiches makes the entire order "non-deliverable" because of concern of the freshness and complaints. I called the store and asked them to please deliver the order, but they held firm and said "we cannot because of policy". I tried to explain to the female manager that we didn't care if the bread or chips were a bit soggy...after all, that would be expected being in a cardboard box for 20 min or so. She held firm that Fultanos was completely, 100% inflexible in delivering their product to us in any way, shape, or form regardless of us saying we were fine with this possibility...merely because we ordered sandwiches and nachos in addition to pizza. Fultanos managers...you are making it very easy to go to the big corporations like Dominos that ARE willing to deliver sandwiches, soda, and pizza in the same order...killing small businesses like yourself. Again...I hate having to write this, but I have strong doubts that any of the staff you had on duty the evening of 8/11/19 gave a *rip* that they just lost a long time customer at my home, as well as the other members of our game group that we also call for you to deliver on when it's their turn to host. Very disappointed with your customer service. All seven of us will be going with Dominos in the future because they do not place unreasonable restrictions or argue with you on what they will and will not deliver on their menu. read more

I ordered 4 pizzas for pick up. My husband picked them up on his way through town. We were shorted one pizza. I called and told them but because we were not in the area (we were staying on Sauvie's Island) they would not rush us the forgotten pizza. She offered a refund for the oizza not received. She was very rude and had horrible customer service. For this reason i asked that my $16+ tip be refunded as well. I got the $25 refund for the pizza but not the tip. Even before the China Virus when my wife and I have ate inside, the food has ALWAYS been cold, or the order wrong. I came here because a friend recommended this restaurant. He said they have great pizza. Which they do have great pizza! I came here on a Sunday afternoon. We were sat immediately. We ordered a large everything pizza and I got a once through salad bar. The salad bar had been run through. Very messy and skimpy. The food that was left was good. The pizza was delicious! The crust was crunchy and yummy! For two people we only ate half a pizza. We will come back. Probably won't get the salad bar though. read more

This place is okay. When they first opened we would have delivery with no issues. The last time we placed an order for delivery we were told about an hour. (No big deal..it was a weekend day/.Friday or Saturday.) After an hour and a half it still hadn't arrived. I call and was promptly informed that they don't deliver to my address? Odd, it's been delivered there before, we left the gate open etc. Would have been nice to know that when I placed my order an hour and a half prior..delivery or not I probably wont be coming back.. I have eaten in house as well and it's just too loud to have a conversation with anyone sitting at your table. read more

This business has no place in my hometown! It's always exciting when a small town gets a new restaurant. You have high hopes and dreams which mostly end up in disappointment and repeat visits with more hope and greater disappointment. The reason Fultanos doesn't get 1 star is because two of the wait staff that have served me were wonderful and the food isn't disgusting. The problem with this place is that the food just isn't good. It's plain, bland, and underwhelming - especially for the price. The other issue is that the service is fairly slow, starting when you walk in the door and wonder if anyone cares to ever seat you. Then you get seated, you order, and you get the wrong food. That sucks. The wait staff fixes it. Wash, rinse, repeat. It's been the same every time I visit and I'm a sucker for hope but they will get no more of my $$$. All hope is gone. read more

Scappoose could definitely use more places like Fultanos. Unlike some of the other eateries/watering holes in town, there is no feel of wanton despair wafting through the air here. Had the greatest experience here today. The food was good and the service was amazing!!? They were running a special so the place was packed but our waitress (Rosie) was amazing and made it feel like we were her only customers. The Slice of Life pizza is an excellent option. I eat here about 2-3x/mo, so there are a few things I would change to increase star ratings. Mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers are consistently under-cooked, they really need to be cooked longer. I would rather have them oozing a bit than have them over-greasy from being under-cooked. Yay for chopped onions in the salad bar!! Salad bar as excellent as it is, can be messy at times. I would also consider adding a legume such as kidney or garbanzo beans. It's still way better than any other option in town and I am grateful for it. Customer service has always been top-notch. Kudos for that. read more

We have been to three other Fultano's locations (Cannon Beach -- OK, but a mess during tourtwit season) (Warrenton -- great cookies on Monday dinner buffet, salad bar is pretty generic) (Astoria -- no cookies, same generic salad bar - fresh from container from Reesers). The aforementioned locations are really nothing to write home about with the exception of the very dedicated and hard working staff at the Warrenton location. Walked into the Scappoose location after seeing the new Star Wars film, so it was around 9;30. I feared service would be rushed or food would be tossed together since closing was not that far off. It was the exact opposite. We had a relaxed meal with awesome service, great food, and the salad bar, oh the salad bar!! Second best pasta salad that I have ever had. Great selection, fresh and organized. The property and building is open, modern, and spacious. Very classy especially when compared to the coastal locations. Staffed by some of the most gorgeous ladies (blonde bartender was gorgeous) (our server was uber cute) (other servers and kitchen lasses were tres' hawt as well). Did I mention the bar tender? (SMACK!!! from the wife!...she thought she was hot too--wink) Prices were spot on for higher quality food. Full bar, great variety, professional service....all was a hit. read more

I've gotten numerous pizzas... all perfect! When you go to order a salad to go, if you have time, I suggest getting the salad bar for pick up. They are so kind to let you make your own salad which is amazing. I got the salad delivered as well before and they make it up to par with how I make mine. If you go to order BREADSTICKS do not get the cheese ones. The regular have a parmesan cheese dusting and I thought those were the "cheese breadsticks" but they are not the same thing. The cheese ones have mozzarella and cheddar. Just a heads up for fellow breadstick lovers, the regular is the way to go. Also I've never loved blue cheese but I accidentally got some and it was the BEST dressing I've ever had! I can't wait to try all the other menu items! read more

Came for the pizza lunch buffet. Unfortunately, we arrived as almost every table was being turned over and pizza bar was empty. We decided to wait and within about 30 minutes 3 new pizzas arrived. Solid food, great service, clean restaurant... consistently! I don't understand the reviews that say the food is not good. Their French dip is on crunchy artisan bread, fresh thick sliced roast beef and melted provolone cheese served hot and with a jus that is not too salty and not to thin. My son loves the waffle fries (I wish they had a normal French fry choice). The hamburgers are also served on great bread, are large and tasty. It is true the halibut if frozen, but any REAL northwesterner KNOWS to ask ANY restaurant if the fish is fresh, rookie move to the last reviewer. Almost everything else on the menu is freshly made. The pizza is not my favorite, its got a dry crust, almost like a Boboli but my husband really likes that style of pizza. His favorites are the taco and the Ruben. The favorite (it seems of many) is the salad bar. It is well stocked with fresh choices, loads of pre-made potato/pasta type salads and yummy dressings. The chef salad is solid, fresh, huge and yummy! When I get it to go I get a few meals out of it. Oh, I almost forgot...I had the fettuccine with chicken and mushrooms, it was spectacular! We were pleasantly surprised because there are no Italian restaurants near here. It it freshly made, no pre-made sauce on this. Yum! I have been here a few times and in all honesty, the only thing good is the salad bar. Went the other night and got the salmon chowder which two of the staff said was good, and it was bland and tasted like flour. Kind of made me sick to my stomach. My husband got the halibut burger and you can tell it was frozen. Nothing here seems fresh, so if I go back I will stick with the salad bar because it is actually pretty good, especially for lunch. read more

Customer service was pretty sad today . Lady tells us buffet is over after seating two others at 210 they get buffet . She took 5 minutes before she even sat us then tells us buffet is over and there is at least 7 pizzas sitting out on the counter . I bring people here for lunch and dinner , guess this is my last time . She claim she was the manager so there was nothing done to keep customers happy . Not my way of running a bussiness . ...they used to be good. Let me explain. I've been to this place no more than 6 times dining in, most of the time we get a to-go order. The first 2 times we dined in, it was great. Servers were always on it, making sure our drinks were topped off, orders were quickly served, even if there was a huge party the server was taking care of as well. Tonight...not so much. Slow service, took a while to get a refill, let alone our order. However, I'll give them a pass on this. Don't get me wrong. The food was still good, although my wife's order was incorrect. Overall, decent time there. But why the 2 stars? Again, let me explain. The thing I really liked getting there, their "famous" waffle fries, is, apparently, no longer available. "Isn't it kinda petty to leave a 2 star rating for such a frivolous thing?" you might be asking? According to the server, they stopped serving waffle fries for a couple of months...the disappointing part is the menu doesn't reflect it...not even blocked off or crossed off of the menu...it's still there as an option...my appetite was whet for some delicious waffle fries!
