We found this place on YELP!! We were on the highway passing through and needed some lunch. Reviews looked decent for this place. My fellow Yelpers didn't fail us....this place was excellent!! My Chorizo Breakfast Burrito was 5/5 stars!!! HUGE, tasty with excellent quality chorizo, NOT greasy at all. The taquitos were bland and just an over bit overcooked. Not bad, just could have been a little better! The staff...AMAZING!! Nice, professional and friendly!! read more

Burrito Express in Scappoose is hands down the best burrito spot in town -- and honestly, the best in the surrounding area too. If you're looking for a place that does burritos right every single time, this is it. I usually order the steak burrito, and it never disappoints. The steak is flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly -- not dry, not chewy, just solid quality meat that actually feels like the star of the burrito. Everything inside is balanced well, so you're not getting overwhelmed by rice or fillers. It's filling, satisfying, and consistently good. One of my favorite parts of coming here is sitting inside and hitting the sauce station. The sauce bottles in the mini fridge are a huge bonus, and if you like heat, the hottest sauce is incredible -- spicy, bold, and full of flavor, not just heat for the sake of heat. The green sauce is just as good, fresh-tasting and perfect for adding that extra kick and brightness to every bite. Being able to customize the heat level yourself really takes the experience up a notch. The overall vibe is authentic and comfortable, which fits the food perfectly. It's the kind of place where you know exactly what you're getting, and you leave happy every time. No gimmicks -- just really good burritos made by people who know what they're doing. Burrito Express is one of those local spots that you end up recommending to everyone because it never lets you down. Seriously.... We had a cousin move over here from Idaho and asked me where can i get good Mexican. And I told her burrito express and she raves about it now to her friends. read more

We tried one of the carts at The Lodge for "super nachos" or as they called them, "Super Chips" and we were very disappointed. Menu said they came with cheese, avocado, meat, and sour cream. We ended up with chips, chicken, bean sauce and sour cream. No cheese, No avocado, no salsa. Tasteless waste of money. We decided to head to Burrito Express and they did not disappoint. Ordered carne asada super nachos! Included ALL the toppings! Very fresh, super delish, and the customer service was top notch! read more

What a treat! Guy at the counter super nice. The carnitas burrito is spot on great. Prices are reasonable. I am told the grind their own beef for hamburgers - will have to try that next time. read more

Burrito Express - the ONLY way is ONE WAY - gotta get in here :) - Mexican Near Me - Scappoose, Oregon

Burritos are always fire this place does not cheap out on the meat. Most places fill their burritos with rice and beans, this place has the most protein I've seen in a burrito. Also the habanero salsa is spot on read more

The food is very sub par. I actually really liked their salsa, but everything else was underwhelming. The guy working the front barely looked us in the eye when we ordered. He was very standoffish and was looking at his phone the whole time, didn't even acknowledge the thanks we gave before leaving. It was our first time there and also our last. read more

The service and food are fantastic and the prices are also great! I have never had a bad experience here and there is plenty of food for the money. Also, they are super fast in preparing your order. Amazingly fast actually. I have never had a complaint here and we eat here quite often when we are in town. Thanks everyone at Burrito Express! We notice your efforts! read more

Stopped here on a whim and so glad I did. Sausage breakfast burrito was SO good and what really made it was the red and habanero sauce on the side. Good service and the food was served quick and hot. I'll be stopping here again on my way through Scappoose read more

Good food but bad customer service. Walked in and the man taking orders made it seem like he had better things to be doing.

Had lunch here today on the recommendation of a local. Very pleasantly surprised. Living in SoCal, I like to think I know good Mexican food. I had a wet burrito, ground beef, with red sauce. Really really good with the house made hot salsa. Also came with beans and rice. My co workers were equally happy with their tacos and carnitas. Would go again if I ever visit Scappoose again. read more

AKA Burrito USA, this place always has friendly service and food that is made fresh to order. If you don't feel like Mexican fare then don't overlook the burgers. FYI, half of the restaraunt has been converted into a sort of bodega stocked with Hispanic wares. read more

Huge portions and great people. The tacos are great and more than filling! The jalapeño fries were a great addition to share.

I guess I'm not as big of a fan as other people seem to be. I've eaten here half a dozen times, almost always try something different. I'm usually underwhelmed or just... whelmed? A lot of the items are a step above most of the other Mexican food places around (Muchas Gracias, Ixtapa, El Tapatio, Taco Bell), they actually impart some flavors and TRY to make good food, it doesn't all just taste like bland slop. But still, it has never blown my mind or anything. Based on all the other glowing reviews, I will have to keep going back and trying to find these magical items that blew other peoples' socks off. read more

Not sure about the burritos but, the tacos are spot on. Normally, not a fan of chicken tacos, they nailed them. The carne asada was our favorite and the carnitas came in a close second. The salsas had enough kick to make the little to go containers last. Take these to the beach on Sauvie Island. If your in Scappoose. Go. Pictures not included. We are the evidence. read more

Absoluteltely, hands down the best Mexican food in Columbia County. Everyone should boycott nasty Victoricos and start eating only at Burrito USA. The staff is beyond friendly, the food is amazing, and you get a TON of food for your money. I would give this place a hundred stars if I could. read more

Dear owner, CLEAN THE PLACE UP A BIT. Then I'll change my review to 5 star. The food is good but I can't stand to be in the building long enough to get cooties. read more

Wow. What a grumpy old gal. This is about the grumpy lady that took my order. No smile. No hello. No personality. Oh...and no "thank you". The burritos are good, but the friendly atmosphere is missing. Like they don't give a crap that I came in and spent my hard earned money. Never again. read more

All the speed and value of Muchas Gracias, only a fraction of the regret... 4.5 stars is the perfect rating for this place. Only conceivable way to improve? Keep 'er open 24/7, maybe open a cantina. Well, it is pretty cramped in there. But business is brisk there, by all appearances. They could move into a more full-service type facility. Scappoose would very soon become a One Burrito Joint Town, pronto! Lordy! You could have their enchilada's or their enchirito's or their basket meals or their specials, but why ever stray from perfection? Their chicken and steak fajita tacos/burritos have not only hit the Bull's eye, baby, you ARE the bullseye. Se dice = "Diana" in Spanish, which is understandably confusing to the English-speaker. To hit the bull's eye: dar en el blanco, or hacer diana Ole! That is all. read more

Sometimes a gamble with your life to try an unknown Mexican place far from home... in parts unknown... This place was awesome. I had the Chile Colorado Burrito. I am also a fan of anyplace that has table salsa in squeezy bottles like ketchup they make your burrito eating experience so much better read more

Foods pretty good! But, definitely dirty and needs some TLC very! It feels like your walking into a restaurant in Tijuana on Revelation Drive! read more

One of the best burritos I've had and at a very reasonable price. Fresh, house made Tortilla chips were great! A hidden gem in a small town.

Love Burrito Express! Delicious food and awesome customer service! It's not fancy in the least, but is clean. Also, there is a great little salsa bar to dress up your food. read more

My girlfriend and me had three kinds of traditional street tacos. All were well done and as expected from this type of small home-spun Mexican restaurant. I'm a bit torn between three and four stars but the friendly staff makes it a four. Three only because it wasn't amaze-balls but nonetheless good/solid. And I admit that I may be a tuff audience in this category since I'm originally from Southern Cal. Worth a try if your having a taco hangkerin read more

Burrito Express is my favorite place to eat in Scappoose. I love the Al Pastor tacos, and the chili cheese fries. All the food is good, I have never had any problems with the food or the service, which is very friendly and FAST. I recommended Burrito Express to any friend of mine that I hear is traveling through Scappoose. read more

After reading such great reviews of their breakfast burritos, I figured I'd give them a shot. While the burrito itself tasted good, the salsas were disappointing and the terrible stomachache afterwards knocked down some of the positivity of the burrito's flavor. I'm so sad, I really wanted to like it. :( read more

Otherwise known as Burrito USA- This place is fantastic! Food is always done quickly and is consistently delicious! And the price can't be beat! $7 for an amazing carne asada burrito! One of our favorite places when we don't feel like cooking. Highly recommend! read more

Love this place! Food is delicious and staff is friendly. My wife and I go pretty regularly.

Yelp insists it's called "Burrito Express", but all the signs say "Burrito USA". Whatever they call it, it's wonderful. I get the chili relleno burrito almost every time I go in and highly recommend it, but they've got a bunch of great options (although they could use a few more veggie ones). read more

not good customer service, I didn't realize there was cheese on the veggie burrito (I can't eat dairy) and when I stop them while making it after noticing the cheese they say they can't make a new burrito and I should've read the menu. deciding I didn't want the burrito anymore (I already paid so whatever) and am about to leave the cook said he will remake it (which was nice) but the cashier says "if anyone else was working it would be a no" and gives me attitude the entire time I was there after. I understand it's frustrating having to remake an order but the blatant rudeness was ridiculous. It made me wish I would've wasted my money and left rather than sat there uncomfortable the entire time because of how I was treated. read more

Great food and very kind family that runs it. Place could use a good scrub down in lobby.

Great burritos which are stuffed tight and full of whatever you're getting. Could be bigger and a bit spicier, but the price can't be beat. Service is quick, and if it isn't you can always go to the pet store next door or do your laundry at the laundromat a block away. Small-town food that beats the spendier places in the city like San Felipe's. Expect $10 to fill you up unless you're a fattie, in which case you should probably eat less because $10 worked for me. read more

This place is actually pretty good. I have had a few of their items and have never been disappointed. Definitely are go to place for mexican food in Scappoose. :) read more

Maybe we were there on an off day. Maybe we are spoiled by Mexican food from many different regions. Not sure why all of the high reviews, but our visit was not one that earned much favour. Burritos were bland and really lacking good flavours. Older lady who served us seemed like she did not want to be there and was put off by requests (extra onion, no veggies, etc) on our orders. Sad, as this area can use some solid eateries. read more

Do not get me started on this place. The chili cheese fries ARE TO DIE FOR! And their nachos are amazing. We've been going there for awhile and the service is always fast, friendly, and the food fantastic. read more

Since Fred Meyer stopped selling dried chilies and removed their ethnic spice section, this is the place to go for dried chilies and whole cumin in Scappoose. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you go there just for the spices, grab some food too. I've never had anything bad here... it's all good. read more

We moved from California three months ago and finally found a good Mexican food spot in Scappoose and Portland! This place is so good!!! We ordered the carne asada burrito, enchiladas and chimichanga and everything was delicious! Already want to go back for more! read more

The set up of this place is always a little strange... Is it a store? Is it a restaurant? Is it fast food? But their food is always really tasty. I had a potato burrito that was absolutely delicious & it was HUGE. A guy who ordered ahead of me got some loaded fries that looked amazing. I'd come back to try them! Their prices are a great value for what you get, $6.75 for a ridiculously huge & delicious burrito, can't go wrong! read more
