The warm greetings, the smiling faces, and the delicious food that's generously portioned at a great pirice? It's a gigantic win! I had the lengua king torta and the amount of tender beef tongue I had in my mouth was incredible - in PDX you might get a pittance of some meat but not here. Four extra tacos later - fish, al pastor, more lengua, and fajita rounded the flavor satisfaction and hunger. Each taco had it's own distinct flavor and texture. All for $20. Love this place.

King Torta at night.

Excellent food at low prices. I love the lengua burrito, and the Al Pastor burrito is to die for! The place isn't fancy - it looks like an old Tastee Freeze - and does a huge take-out business.

Excellent service from cute friendly staff. Food is good portion and delicious. Prices are unbeatable from miles around. Shredded beef and asada chimichangas are packed with flavor and fresh ingredients! Can't wait to try the rest of their menu.

Carnitas, asada and fish tacos.

Stopped in for lunch with My wife after a friend suggestion to try this place for the tacos. We each ordered three tacos -- chicken, steak and carnitas for my wife and I subbed the chicken for the fish on my order. Service was very pleasant and the place was full with locals. But to be honest...the meats could have used more flavor. The tacos were not bad by any means...but just sort of bland. Not sure if was lack of seasoning or sauces but the meal for both of us was just meh. but finding great Mexican food in Portland is not an easy task.

Chimichanga was packed full of rice and chicken-definitely two meals

Isn't the fanciest place but the food is delicious. Order yourself and pickup your order at the counter. No outside seating but a lot of indoor seating. No alcoholic beverages but a large selection of sodas. A quiet restaurant even when full of customers-everyone was busy eating.

Authentic Mexican food! Tonight I was a first timer with my wife. We order regular chicken tacos, fajita tacos and some tacos so good! The service was nice and quick. The lady who worked the register told us what to order which was super helpful. We will define back because my wife and I love some authentic Mexican food.

The asada. Great price for the portion size.

"This review is only for the food and service" The Best prices around even with inflation in full effect. Most places has raised their prices but this place still keeps it affordable. Service was friendly and welcoming. The lady running the cash register has such a humble heart and so accommodating. The Asada burrito had meat from top to bottom. The meat was not dry but tender and juicy. Every bite had the tender meat. Also, the deep fried jalapeño was free?!?! The homemade chips were great The kids loved the side of rice. The sauces were fresh and tasty. The only gripe I have about the place is that the building needs some TLC.

Super reasonably priced. Got the carne asada tacos and they loaded them up. The avocado salsa they put on them is also super tasty.

Not a fancy place, but, when they serve food this good, it's not about the ambience it's all about the fabulous Mexican food.

I am just not sure how to rate Casa Lola…read more.. My wife called at 10 to ask if they were open yesterday, (Sunday) as they were scheduled to serve brunch. She was told they open at noon?? Yet their website states the following: Sunday: 10:00 AM-9:00 PM I do see they have 4 stars overall. I gave it 5 stars a year and a half ago. It definitely doesn't warrant 5 stars. The scheduled hours in the front window area is missing half of the numbers. The threshold is filthy. The knife in my roll-up had something crusted on it. And we were told very nicely, by our server Johana, that she hoped the Chef would come back, as he had left earlier. Whew...he came in after we were there about 10 minutes. We arrived at 4:00. And the last irritant...the music sound level. I wanted to ask Johana to turn it down, but just put it off. We were told at 10:00 Casa Lola becomes a night club...fine, but at 4:00 on a Sunday. Johana was terrific and the food was good. My Al Pastor Tacos were okay. Not great, but not bad. Black beans and rice accompanied all of the dishes and they also were good...not great. My wife, being a vegetarian, had the Enchilada's stuffed with carrots and potatoes. She loved the sauce, even though it had queso fresco on top, as she had requested none be served. Again, Service 5 stars, Food 4 stars, Misc. 0 stars It will be interesting to see if the restaurant is open one year from now.

Oregon laws protect individuals from being treated differently because of their gender identity or sex. Other than common overpriced drinks, the men's restroom is a nightmare. The club BARELY OPENED and the floor was flooded with piss. No joke I had to buck my hips forward in order to reach the urinal. And the one single soap dispenser was empty? They send security to poke their head in but not a janitor to clean up? The whole dance floor was stained with piss. And all the men with piss on their hands passing drinks... At least invest in better sound equipment. Music quality is terrible. Louder doesn't mean better. Disappointed this is my towns club. Going back to portland.

I don't know how long this place has been here since it is a block off the main drag. I just happened to find it thanks to Yelp when i was out here looking for some place new for lunch. This is not your typical sports bar! And to be candid I am not wild about sports bars.. all those macho character living vicariously though the exploits of professional athletes. And not a single play can go by without raucous cheers and yelling. I HATE loud gin mills! This place is quieter and brighter than most sports bars. Yes, they have the obligatory wall-to-wall big screen TVs which I try hard to ignore. I'm here for the food guys.... they do have a fairly full menu but their burgers are killer. A thick burger, fries an a cold beer and I'm a happy guy. Wish they opened earlier and offered a full b'fast but it is what it is. Prices are decent considering what you get: generous portions and very tasty food. Staff is "ok" but not exceptional, at least on this visit. No complaints and I do appreciate not being bugged by staff so no stars off for that. When it comes to beer, I'm one and done so I am very low maintenance for staff.

I definitely recommend this locations if you want to hangout with a few friends watch a game & get a good drink! Thanks again!

Greeted by friendly staff and seated immediately...close to the window by the entrance, right next to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. That was the only empty table when we arrived. The place was packed. Chips and salsa came in quick and they were gone in no time. My kiddos love them. We got a refill. We ordered the following which I'll recommend. $22 Alberto's Burrito - delicious. This was recommended by our waiter. Fresh avocados, well seasoned burritos, large portions. $16 Bean & Beef burrito - my kiddo's fav. He devoured it. $16 - 3 tacos combo - plate was clean when all said and done. We had $4 lemonades for drinks. They come with refills. Overall, great service, delicious food, & good ambiance. We'll swing by next time we are in the area.

*NOT VEGETARIAN/MEAT SENSITIVITY FRIENDLY. Incredibly poor customer service when issues arise…read more Spoke to some rude young guy at 8:54p on 6/20/2026. **UPDATE 06/27: Upon this response I am glad to have made the decision to no longer dine at this restaurant as most of what the business is claiming happened is inaccurate and being relayed to them from a now terminated employee that they are choosing to believe the narrative of versus a customers. I would imagine your phone lines are not recorded otherwise you would have verified that is not how the call played out at all. I did mispeak at the beginning of the call and tried to clarify that my order had been called in over the phone but the calltaker was too busy arguing with me to let me get a word in. I will absolutely admit to using a singular F bomb at the end of the call prior to disconnecting out of frustration, but only after being talked over, argued with and ridiculed for the entire duration of the phone call. It was at that point I realized that the man on the other side of the phone call did not respect me nor my situation and was more concerned with being right than about resolving the issue at hand. I had a long day and after driving for 8+ hours was hoping to just support a local restaurant / employees and eat some good food. Someone shouldn't have to speak to a manager to order something without an ingredient and then still be given that ingredient. I hope the next person you hire has better customer service skills. -Hey so I'm never one to leave reviews unless I feel other people could benefit from my experience, so I wanted to save someone from hopefully going through what I just went through tonight with this restaurant. I ordered a cheese enchilada with no meat, as I haven't eaten meat for almost 15 years and it makes me incredibly sick to consume it. I placed my order over the phone and everyone was incredibly nice at pickup and besides them forgetting my horchata there were no issues. (Genuinely could have cared less about this but now it's just the icing on the proverbial cake, I guess). I made sure to tip near 20% in cash, as I appreciate the hustle of the food service industry and wanted to support local. I was halfway through my enchiladas when I noticed specks of what looked like meat on the top and in the center of my food. Concerned, I called in to verify what food I had been given as I ordered cheese and had what looked to be chicken in my food. Instead of being apologetic for messing up my order, I was told "well it should be obvious if it has meat in it or not" and then when I told the person on the phone I could get sick if it's chunks of meat he then ARGUED with me about how it's pork and not chicken?? And then informed me that's "just how their green sauce is made", as if I should have had insider knowledge to that. I told him I was not informed of this and I was practically shrugged off as he argued again with me about "how it's just on top and not inside", as if I was some overreacting child who just needed to scrape the top off of the food I just paid for. (There was also meat sauce inside but I just dropped the issue). Then he "sort of" offered a solution by requesting I drive all the way back to provide in- person proof of the food, again not at all sympathetic or even remotely apologetic, even after I told him I may need to seek medical attention and was just calling so I could get info on what I consumed. I couldn't even drive back to give him the half eaten enchilada and get my money back because by the time I finally got to eat half of a dinner that will likely make me vomit, I was 45 mins south at my destination. ***What makes me so mad about this whole ridiculous event is a simple apology would have sufficed. My money back would have been nice but I just wanted to get clarification on the issue and get a freaking apology the food I paid for was screwed up and likely going to make me sick. But I was instead belittled over not knowing their kitchen recipes, despite saying multiple times over the phone "no meat". There was no confusion when the order was placed and it was read back to me multiple times, so it really just comes down to them just not caring. I expect no special treatment over my food choices but a little respect and basic human decency would have been real nice. Guess that's too much to ask for from Los Caperales. Have a better night than I'm going to
