The team at La Cabaña is a fun time and will be ready to make you believe in Mexican cuisine of small towns. Our server, "Martha12" as the receipt indicated, was a blast. She was non-stop jokes and sass, especially given that I am a very white man who clearly rarely consumes this fantastic cuisine. We started simple with carona, limes, and some chips. After some time reviewing the very large menus, she came and took our orders. Each of us went with an enchilada and burrito, with added refried beans to load up on more carbs and protein. We had ample time to relax, and the large umbrellas made me happy to be out of the sun. I ordered a piña colada, and holy heck, did it ever come in the largest cocktail glass known to man. Thank god I had help to consume it with a friend. The indoor space is quaint and small, so I expect in cooler weather that it would be hard to find seating. In summer there are several outdoor seating areas. There aren't many places to keep bikes when eating, so the team recommended the alley nearby. Ours ended up being safe, but, I would definitely recommend bringing locks. Parking should be ample, and the cute small town streets were a nice vibe. I left very content, and would definitely return on my next cycling adventure.

The meat was well cooked, the cheese deserves a round of applause, and I really appreciated that some items are naturally gluten-free. Nothing is spicy unless you ask, which means no surprise fire drills for your mouth. The service was genuinely kind, the kind that makes you feel welcome instead of rushed. And in the summer? Grab your food, sit outside, enjoy the sunshine, and remember that sometimes food just needs to be pleasant and dependable. This place gets that right. Would happily stop by again my daughter told me we had to go to this food cart... she was right.

Really great tacos, really okay service…read more I stopped by after visiting the Tillamook factory and ordered a few tacos. They were street taco size, so not super filling. Flavor wise, they were so fresh and delicious. The salsas were all really great (shoutout out to the habanero salsa- SO good), but the service was just meh. Plenty of outdoor seating, which was appreciated.

Adabada was a step above the carne asada. Now the sides were not good. One single radish for 4 tacos, and my wife got 4 tacos with NO radish, I don't know why. Grilled onions were great and limes were juicy. Now here comes the service. So the service was abismal. I first ordered 5 tacos in line, no one behind me and one person in front of me. I ordered and the lady repeated it back to me and I said correct, so I get to the window and she pulls up saying "you had the ten tacos, correct?" And on the fly I just said yes because I didn't want to be cause a problem or have them throw them away but not happy I had to spend another 15 bucks. Also, I came the day before and tried to get tacos and the lady gave me a chicken quesadilla. So clearly the workers are not organized or care to make sure the customers order is right. So just go with caution that you might not get what you ordered, or just open your order before leaving like you do when you go to most fast food restaurants. I wanted to give this place a better score like a 4

I'm no specialist but when it comes to FnC it seems only few spots know how to get the batter right without drying out the fish. If you're in the Nehalem area you gotta try it.

Being from San Diego, my hope was dwindled & I've been on Yelp scouring for a well-reviewed & high star establishment. Once I saw the reviews here I was, damn near, forced to visit.
