My experience with McCoy Mills Ford is with the service department as I purchased my Ford vehicle elsewhere due to better pricing. I am awarding the service department one star for my review due to them being exceptionally courteous as well as being responsive on the phone. With that said, courteousness and responsiveness doesn't necessarily solve problems. My 2012 Boss 302 had an issue with detonation since new; I brought it in to McCoy Mills multiple times for this problem which was initially addressed. The initial resolution was to install an oil catch can at my expense despite the car being brand new and 100% under factory warranty. Since I liked the car so much and assumed this would solve the problem, I authorized the work. Upon picking up the car, I noticed that the problem was indeed solved. Unfortunately, this was only temporary as the problem shortly returned. I addressed the issue again at my next service and was told by McCoy Mills that they were unable to diagnose any problem. I believed them and assumed that this condition was possibly normal. The issue progressively got worse and I returned once again to McCoy Mills. They kept the car for a few days and reported that they were "not able to duplicate" the problem. Upon picking up the car after this visit, the detonation was clearly evident and I returned immediately to address this unresolved issue. I could tell at this point that the staff at McCoy Mills was tired of me and simply wanted my car gone. My service advisor refused to take a test drive with me or arrange to have one of the techs go on a test drive. I found this incredibly infuriating and decided ti was time to visit another Ford dealer. To make an incredibly long story short, South Bay Ford did recognize that my Boss 302 had a problem and kept the car for several weeks in an effort to resolve the issue which was never remedied, causing Ford Motor Co. to repurchase my vehicle. In summary, I have concluded that McCoy Mills only prefers to do simple warranty work or customer pay work. They sent me away when my car's problem was not easy to resolve and that is unforgivable. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME I was looking for a new car and contacted Mc Coy Mills Ford to see what they had available. A woman named Leena emailed me information about a Ford Edge. She even emailed me the sticker and VIN number of the vehicle, sent me the price, and set an appointment for me to come and look at it. While out running errands the day before my appointment, I stopped by to look at the car a day early. Long story short basically they lied to me! The car that they had promised me he had "been sold" and they proceeded to try and sell me a much more expensive car. I am outraged!!! I still have the emails as PROOF that they lied and are guilty of deceptive business practices and false advertising. Worse than that, I turned down another offer because I thought that McCoy Mills had a better deal. UPDATE: I just got a text from the internet sales department stating that the car in question was still available. When I texted her back asking why she told me that the car had been sold... no response... I'm still waiting for a reply! NEW UPDATE: Multiple texts, emails and phone calls from the sales manager and they STILL HAVE NOT produced the car that they claim they have for me or anything similar. read more

I give them two stars only because they are better than Ken Grody. Everyone knows when you buy a new car you will not get a straight answer during the entire exchange but most of us get an okay deal when we are all done, although getting completely screwed is totally possible if you don't pay close attention. I am not saying McCoy Mills won't screw you, because they absolutely will, I'm just saying you will definitely get screwed at Ken Grody. Those guys would steal from their own grandmas purse and say it was her fault for not being more careful. The guys at McCoy Mills are the kind who might wait til she died and then steal it before everyone got a chance to split it evenly. Those are just the sales guys. The service writers will not check to see if the technicians do a proper repair before letting you drive off in your still broken car. Here are a few of my experiences. 1. Brought my car in for a rough idle. Picked my car up two days later and it died after driving it 200 yards. 2. Air conditioner not working. After the repair was done the heater was on in the back of the van while the cold air was blowing up front. They do not have separate controls by the way. 3. Had a bad tire. They replaced the wrong tire. A perfectly good tire was replaced while the obviously damaged tire was still on the car when I picked it up. 4. License plate kept coming loose. After the repair the license plate fell off on the freeway. I really do hate McCoy Mills, but Ken Grody is worse by far. read more

Came in to test drive the '15 'stang v6 on a Saturday afternoon. We walked in and met Christopher Besenty. My first impression was he seemed to be a pleasant guy. We took a 'stang for a spin and he promised that he would be willing to work with us in order to make a deal. And boy, he delivered to his promise. Sure enough we took delivery of the car the same day. I was beyond satisfied with Chris' service. He tried his very best to explain in detail the features of the car. However, I am very dissatisfied with how the guys who washed my car treated my property. The interior is completely disorganised! I have my carpets on my cloth seats and towels crumpled in the trunk! Also, why did the tow hitch wires are bundled up in my spare tire compartment? Those aren't where they suppose to go. My husband and I came here to look at a used truck we found online. He was way overdue for buying a new car. We were greeted by Steve and Rex. We were shown the truck we requested, along with a handful of other used and new trucks. We asked a ton of questions and they had the answer to every one of them. He didn't give us a bullshit offer and tried to barter (unlike the honda, toyota, chrysler, dodge, chevrolet, cadillac, subaru, vw, gmc, volvo, buick, acura, bmw, nissan, and jeep dealerships that I went to). Agreed to a price and 0% apr that was to our mutual benefit in 10 minutes after the test drive. Drove away happy. Repair Shop: I always get these giftcards or free checkup cards in the mail so I always come here. Very friendly and helpful staff who give a shit about the services they provide, regardless of whether I got it for free or not. I always ask for estimates and they never pressure me into fixing it at Ford because I always ask around to see where I can get the best price. These guys are employees paid by the hour/ or salary paid so they have no reason to lie to you. They don't make any money if you get your car fixed so they're honest about it. Con. When I was waiting in the lounge while my car was getting serviced, I bought a bag of cookies from a vending machines. The cookies got stuck and I didn't have anymore change. After almost 21 years of dealing with McCoy Mills Ford in Fullerton, I"M DONE. My wife's 2003 Explorer wasn't shifting correctly, I was told by McCoy Mills Ford service department that the transmission needed to be overhauled @ $3,100.00, after the service department test drove the vehicle they reported "Transmission Neutralized and Torque Converto locked up and killed the motor, monitored PIDS and determined internal Transmission Failure, recommend a complete removal, and inspection of Transmission" After hearing this, I asked the service manager (J) to ask Ford for a "Good Faith" repair" He claimed that he contacted Ford and my request was denied. I contacted Ford's customer service line at 1-800-392-3673; they looked up my VIN # and said NO SUCH REQUEST WAS FOUND under my VIN#.... I decided to seek a second opinion, I took the vehicle to Tustin Transmission, they test drove the Vehicle, pulled the Transmission Pan, and reported it was clean inside, they serviced the transmission by replacing the Filter, Gasket, and Fluid (Transmission service kit), and the darn car is (knock on wood) running like a brand new car.... The total cost was $87.71. There's a great deal to be said about honesty! The Car is running like a Champ and I don't feel like a Chump...It's been a good run for you McCoy Mills Ford in Fullerton but I'm done with you! ****UPDATE 11/26/2012 1:39 PM The 2003 Explorer is still running GREAT after Tustin Transmission serviced the transmission for $87.71.... This review is for the McCoy Mills Ford Service Department. I took my 2017 Explorer Sport in for transmission service because the transmission was slipping and the engine would completely shut off while driving in traffic on the highway and flash the CEL with the transmission warning. I spoke with Evelyn in service who was extremely helpful in getting me an appointment to drop my vehicle off. She kept me completely informed of the status of my vehicle and the work that had to be completed from the time I dropped it off until it was ready for pick up, which help manage my expectations. Arthur in service was great also. I brought my vehicle in a little after their business hours and as Arthur was leaving work for the day, he noticed that I was having trouble starting the truck to place it in a drop off parking spot. Arthur then took the time to help me attempt to start the vehicle and when that did not work he helped me push my truck into a good parking spot so that they could look at it in the morning. The next day, I got a call from their service department early in the morning and was informed about the diagnostics and services that they would be performing. After completing their diagnostics, Evelyn called back that afternoon and informed me of the problem they found and mentioned that they would be able to have the problem corrected the following day. I was able to pick up my vehicle the following day and it has been running great since! I would definitely recommend McCoy Mills Ford to anyone looking to have their vehicle serviced! Finally made the decision to trade my car in for yet another Ford. I was reluctant to go back to the dealership I would take my Mustang to for service because of their inability to service our cars in a timely fashion (we are a Ford family). I started to inquire online and was contacted by Marlene about what I was looking for. I was up front with her about my past experience, what car I was looking for, and how soon. My inquires were met with rapid turn around responses. No problem, not pushy at all. I am not sure I have ever had a 5-star car buying process, until yesterday when I purchased a Ford Fusion Energi from McCoy Mills. Actually the process started about 2 weeks ago actively researching cars via Ford's x-plan (I work for an OEM) and also TrueCar. I had visited 2 other dealers in the area (Fairway and Villa) to research and drive a few cars. I live pretty close to the Fullerton area but had not really considered them for previous purchases. Marlene responded to my on-line request and introduced me to Gary when I came in. I can't say enough good things about Gary. Unlike most other dealer experiences, Gary provided a very knowledgeable and no-pressure experience. I had recently changed my focus from the Fusion Hybrid to the Energi and he explained the differences and took us for a test-drive. We discussed available rebates and looked at some different option levels. NOT ONCE did I get the "what would it take for you to drive this home today" line. Later that day Bob, the Sales Manager gave me a courtesy call to thank me for coming in and to ask if I had any questions. I did need to sell or trade my 2012 Mercedes E-350 (yes, I went from MBZ to Ford), so we set a time for me to get a trade-in quote. They were a little low, so I listed the car private-party and also went to CarMax. I was focused on getting the best purchase price/lease for my new car and not worried about selling my previous one. I am not writing a CarMax review now, but don't ever try to trade-in a car without going to CarMax first... Over the course of the next week I had several text or email exchanges with Gary (including on his day off) and ultimately decided on a car which they did not have in inventory. They found it locally and agreed to do a dealer trade once I made a $500 deposit. Unfortunately the local car they identified was no longer available, so Gary drove to North Hollywood to trade with another dealer to get me the exact car I wanted. Last night we complete the purchase process, and it was 100% smooth and as easy as buying a car can ever be. There were no surprises. I never, in my life, imagined myself becoming a Ford owner.. Lets just hope I am not disappointed in the long run. lol The car search doesn't have to be a complicated process. Most people just don't know what they want, thats the biggest issue (I think). As long as you know what you want, make - model - specs etc, you'll be fine. Also, do your research! Know what the price of cars is around your area. There are many tools online that show you the cost of cars with the things you want in them. I had narrowed my search down to two cars, determined the price for both, and my fiance set up test drives for both. From what we've heard, this is the best Ford dealership in OC. The others close to us (Villa and Orange) have probably the worst reviews I've ever read. After test driving both makes/models I decided to try my luck with Ford. We were helped by a man named Jesse Martinez who made things so effortless, what a breath of fresh air. I wanted a certain make and model, with some specs I wouldn't settle on - leather being the main deal breaker. Due to the fact that all 2013 cars had been shipped off or whatever to make room for the 2014 cars, I would have had to wait 12 weeks for a car to be "made" for me. Definitely not what I wanted, I knew I wanted to drive off that week. Jesse and my fiance worked out a price I was happy with & he threw in the leather seats for a phenomenal deal! I just had to schedule the install appointment within 30 days of my purchase date. Amazing. I purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion SE. The price, unbeatable. Everything my car has is something you'd pay 50-60K for in a luxury brand. Touch screen, backup camera with backup assist, blind spot sensors, voice control everything, sync, etc. The seats are more comfortable than ANY luxury car I've owned or been in (previous BMW owner). I couldnt have asked for a better car. Jesse made sure all paperwork was ready the day I came in to purchase my car. I was paying out the door, so no hassle with finance etc. They washed and detailed the car, took all stickers off for me, and made an appointment for leather for the next week! He even was kind enough to drop the car off to me when it was done because I didn't have a ride to pick it up. My only sour experience was with the finance guy, but then again those guys are always dicks. Thankfully I didn't have to interact with him that much since nothing was being financed. He did seem (more than) a little miffed that I didn't want to purchase an extended warranty. Whatever.. I just brought the car in for my first scheduled service after hitting the 8,000 mile mark. I had previously made an appointment to take the car in to Ken Grody, but they had really bad reviews and they estimated 1hr 45minutes for the job. I looked you guys up and made the appointment around lunch time for the afternoon (3PM). It was an easy in and out in around 45 minutes for "The Works" and they even updated my Sync software which was a huge improvement. I will be back here for my next scheduled maintenance. The sales guy was friendly but not pushy like the big dealerships i visited. The sales manager introduced himself to me and was just as friendly and personable. I'm still in the infancy of my relationship with McCoy Mills Ford, but so far they've treated me wonderfully. Before I tell you about the dealership, let me tell you about what landed me at this particular Ford dealership, or with Ford in general. I've driven a stick shift for nearly my entire driving life and I ride motorcycles too. So sport performance is something that means a lot to me. In my search for a new car, I wrestled between buying a used '09-10 BMW 335i, a 2012 CPO Infiniti G37, or a new practical car...maybe something like a Ford Fusion. So I looked at the specs of all the cars and obsessed over my search for a little while and was dead set on purchasing the CPO Infiniti. To me it presented the best bang for the buck, with a 2012 CPO advertised for about $28k at the dealership. It had over 300 hp, leather seats, navigation, rearview camera...the works! But then the lightbulb went off. Why pay mid 20's for a soon to be 3 year old car, no matter how well optioned it was? It was then that I noticed the 2015 Ford Mustang. And boy was she a beauty. I immediately knew I wanted her. The options and colors just came together. A ruby red, 2.3L ecoboost turbo (I can have my horsepower and eat my MPG cake too!) with nearly full options (minus the 50th anniversary and Recaro seats because I'm not down to pay that much to lose functionality or just for commemorative bling). She will be called Rose. So, with my search for the perfect car over, it was time to find the perfect dealer with which to place my perfect order for the perfect car. Yelp brought me to McCoy Mills Ford. 4.5 stars out of 80 reviews? The other dealerships didn't even come close! The deal was sealed when I found out that I can get X-Plan pricing through my company. I made the call. Tim McMann picked up and was very polite but I decided I want to place the order in person to make sure there were no errors. He wanted me to call before I came so he could have everything ready to go, but I ended up swinging by the dealership unannounced to try and catch him off guard. Without missing a beat, he had me sit and walked me through my order, gave me my X-Plan pricing, took down my info for financing, and gave me over to his boss to confirm my order. Both he and his boss were very polite and pleasant people to deal with. After confirming prices, I placed a minimal deposit to order the car (much smaller than you would be able to place elsewhere). No pressure and a fully refundable deposit. This review is not over as I obviously have yet to pay for the car or secure financing, so we will see how that process goes. Car Purchase review. I was on the market for a 2015 Mustang GT. I've hesitated buying one for 6 months due to previous car buying experiences. I don't know how to even begin. This is the best Ford dealership actually the best dealership period. My boyfriend and I have gone to a few dealerships in a few years. Our last experience at a different ford dealer last year left me upset and stressed and over everything. So I was nervous when we were going to have to do this again (not by choice but because of a drunk driver totaling our 2017 F 150.) We walked up and was greeted by Daniel R. Nicest guy already! Showed us the exact truck we were wanting. Took it for a Test drive and we were already sold on it. Daniel made this the least stressful experience ever! Took everything we said into consideration. The only thing that was a little stressful if waiting for banks approval but that's not their fault that's just the way it goes. They tried to do everything to get us at the monthly payments we wanted even when we changed our mind and wanted to add other things to the truck. When doing research before coming in McCoy Mills already had better prices than any ford dealer I looked at. Today we went to pick up our truck after additions and employees we never meet before were also extremely nice. This is a must go to dealer and Daniel is your go to guy for a new or used car!
