I really love the idea and convenience but after week upon week of getting wilted, rotting, mushy and borderline inedible produce that doesn't last in my fridge for more than a few days, I'm canceling my service. There's no reason to pay top-shelf, premium prices for bottom-shelf quality. I'd rather just drive to the store. read more

Signed up for full circle after a rep came to our door. Had heard of them before so was willing to give them a try. Decided to cancel after 1 delivery due to freshness and amount. The spinach/kale/collard green had parts that were wilted. The portion size was suitable for 1 (especially the spinach). I called to cancel and the customer rep didn't even as me why I wanted to cancel. I prefer to stick to another weekly farm delivery (pick up in my neighborhood where the product is so full/plentiful and fresh). read more

If it weren't for Full Circle Farm we would probably never eat any veggies! We have been with the CSA program for at least 6 months and get a small box every other week for $30. It has been great. We have never had any errors with our order, never had any smashed produce, and never had anything rotten. They work really hard to make sure the produce comes to you rain or shine. They work so hard, it can be almost INconvenient for you. As with the December snows. I was all for passing on the box to stay home and off the snowy roads, but they insisted that delivery would be on time. I believe it was a day late, and we picked it up a day after that when things cleared a bit. I appreciate the effort they put into getting the deliveries out, but I would have also appreciated them letting me pass a week and not charging me. But it all worked out. It has all been A+. The newsletter is a nice addition because it gives you info about the produce you are getting and gives you recipes for stuff you may not be familar with. I had never tried persimmons before, until we found some in our box! Interesting! Step out of the box and get into a Full Circle Box! You'll be glad you did. read more

I've been using Full Circle Farms for about 18 months and there is a lot to love. Six to nine months ago I might have rated them a 5. But the stars, they are declining... And I am getting reeeeaaaaally close to checking out another delivery option. What's great-to-awesome? -- The oranges have been absolutely the best I've ever tasted (and I used to live close to Florida). The avocados (in season) are better than the stores'. In general, all the produce is top-notch, except for the occasional slip (which I'm willing to cut them some slack on). -- The variety is lovely and the quantity of food in the box is a great value. -- The permanent-five-substitution list is great (radishes and grapefruit -- YECH!), as is the ability to replace items online, in an easy web interface, prior to the cutoff time. -- When a new delivery driver didn't locate my address, the customer service representative was very helpful and refunded me promptly. -- While expensive, the options to add on high-quality cheeses, fish, meats, etc. is a real bonus. And they're packed well to stay cold. -- The cancel-this-delivery "contact us" policy has got to be the best in the services business. No issues, no questions. Just "yes, we'll deliver that when you next want it." Awesome. What's not? -- They say they deliver close to 6 am. More than a few times mine has arrived before midnight the night before. That's a looong time to sit outside. (Some time last night a raccoon met the doorstep of his dreams, and now I'm down some lettuce and a tomato.) -- The on-site substitutions (when packing the boxes) -- which are understandable when they run out of something or the produce isn't up to their standards -- are happening more and more frequently. Sometimes the replacements are items I don't like (or are on the five-permanent-substitution list). Sometimes it means the recipe I had planned is a no-go. While I understand the logistical issues here, it's adding up to greater frustration. Overall, I think FCF is a great option and have enjoyed their service. They've expanded my palate and cooking adventures, which is what I wanted. Give them a try, if you're inclined (and can find a Groupon to sweeten the deal). I've just started wondering if it's really the best option for me... read more

This is the best CSA that I have found since moving to Seattle ten years ago. I would give them 4.5 stars if that was an option to be sure. The consistently have great produce but sometimes it is just on the cusp. I both love and hate it when I get something on the peak of its ripeness (it is both a delight to eat but also a challenge when I have to figure out how to incorporate two very ripe avocados and two very ripe mangoes into a dinner). I like that they are truly local and that they seem to do their best to source locally when possible. Their customer service is also very responsive. I have recommended several friend use this service over spud or other services. I would also like to see a greater selection in 'substitute items'. read more

I SOOOO wanted to like Full Circle, but it was not in the cards for me. I bought the LivingSocial deal and paid $18 for a standard box (up to $37.) You have to provide a credit card in order to sign up. Which was a pain since I didn't owe them any money with my LivingSocial credit, but whatever. You also have to sign up for continuous service as there is no option for a one time order. It's pretty cool that you can see what type of produce you will be receiving in your upcoming delivery and can make substitutions as necessary. However, I didn't like that when they didn't have something, they made a substitution for me. Pickup was a breeze. The guy who worked at the pickup location (who's not even affiliated with Full Circle) carried the box out for me in the pouring rain! The box that the produce came in is adorable! It's cardboard, but looks like a wooden crate. Very cute. Anyways, the produce was a big disappointment. I chose Full Circle thinking that the quality of produce would be better than the sad stuff you usually see at the supermarket. - The lettuce arrived wilted. I had to throw it away only a few days later. - I was expecting a butternut squash, but received a delicata squash instead. I'm not a fan of delicata squash plus it had a bruise on it that I was afraid was on the cusp of molding. - The celery started to wilt a few days after arrival. I had a 2 week (possibly 3!) old head of celery in my crisper that was in much better condition. - The pomegranates were tiny. I know that these are organic, but they are half the size of the POM pomegranates from the supermarket. - The 5 pears that I got were tiny and rock hard. They're still hard though they've been sitting in a paper bag for a week. - The apples were tiny (half the size of apples that I get from a local fruit stand) and tasted under ripe. - The dinosaur kale began wilting by day 3, but I was able to use them in time. Luckily carrots, brussels sprouts, leek and potatoes keep well so I don't feel so rushed to use up a entire box of produce within a few days. I'm more than happy to pay extra for local organic produce, but I'm not happy about sacrificing quality. I would be much more upset if I'd paid the full $33.20 (for the Garden size box). Oh, and there are no clear instructions on how to cancel on their website so you'll either have to call them or email them and they will take care of it. At least that process was simple. read more

The produce I received was wilted and the quantities in the box were very low for the price. I sent them and email and they didn't offer to provide better produce. I cancelled my account. I was so disappointed since I've been looking for a good produce deliver. read more

2 stars because it is convenient to get groceries delivered. Cons: - The produce is not in good condition. It's almost like the leftover scraps that the grocery stores rejected because it looks so bad. - It's expensive. I can get much more bang for the buck if I go buy the produce myself and I can pick out fresher produce. In fact, if I manage to make it out to a farmers market, I can get much much better produce for half the price. - Deceiving product descriptions. I tried ordering from their grocery section several times now. The meat packages that arrive almost always have less than what the description on the site states (sometimes only half as much). - Last minute substitutions and mistakes in the order. If you plan out your meals, this can really throw off your plans. I am going to give it a few more weeks, but will most likely cancel my subscription. read more

I was pretty excited to discover Full Circle and really, really wanted it to work out. I canceled after one delivery. Since I go to bed late I actually got the package as soon as it was delivered to my door. The chard I got already didn't look good - there were quite a few brown spots. The apples had a couple of brown spots. And for what you are paying you get very little. For example, "a bunch of carrots" is a really tiny bunch. I would say you get the same kind of organic produce (with higher quality) at grocery stores (even at Whole Foods) for at most 70% of what Full Circle charges. So that really was a disappointment...for the time being I will just stick to going to Whole Foods on my way to work. I was debating to give this 2 stars instead of one because the customer service is good! Someone immediately called me back to confirm the cancellation with no hassle at all. But considering the low quality and low quantity it would really be less than 1.5 stars so I am leaving it at 1 star. read more

Trying Full Circle over a year now and cant say much positive about them. Yes they have good customer service but the fruits and veggies are terrible. Most of the time over half of the order is moldy and rotting. When I plan weekly meals I count on my order for cooking. Will not try the meat and or seafood due to the poor quality of the fruit and veggies. Don't know how this company stays in business. read more

I bought a deal online and was disappointed in what I got. You would think as a new customer, they would try hard. The fruit was bruised and needed to be eaten asap. The spinach was wilted. Bottomline is we only ate half of what came since it expired in days! So, I canceled my order. Can pick great produce at the store for a lot less. read more

I saw all of the negative reviews and I figured I had better speak up! I have been using Full Circle for a few months and overall I have been very happy with the service. I prefer to receive items that are from within my state, so the fact that it is easy to know which items come from where is important to me (it is stated right next to the item name). The box is always auto-filled for the next week, but it is easy to change out items that you might not want. The prices and the schedule are clearly marked on their website, so I am not sure why people are having trouble with those things. I have always received top quality produce and everything is packed carefully with ice and very sturdy bags. The additional grocery options are fantastic as well! I have found my new favorite chorizo and granola through their online grocery! It is pretty expensive, but it is a luxury to have organic produce delivered right to your door. We need to remember that the labor of packing the individual orders and the delivery costs money requires a bit of a markup. For me the only negative aspect is not knowing what size of an item you might get. It says how many of an item you should receive, but when you only get one of a certain item and it is incredibly tiny it is a bit of a disappointment. I appreciate that they aren't just tossing these smaller items, but perhaps they could send two instead of one in that scenario. With my busy schedule it is difficult for me to make regular trips to the grocery store. This service keeps me eating much healthier and it feels good to know that I am supporting local businesses. read more

I am so impressed. We have been members for about a month and have gotten wonderful, fresh produce every time. The box is like a little Christmas present every week! We just went out today and took a member's tour of the farm in Carnation. It was a beautiful space with a gorgeous winding creek and beautiful healthy beds of lush lettuce. It was so cool to think that would be my lettuce this summer. Member tours are monthly and a cool and free experience. All over a great experience with Full Circle. read more

I've been a member of FCF for a few months now, and I think that it is genius. See, I got all fired up about joining a CSA some time in February, but after doing a bit of research, I realized that many traditional CSAs have prescribed times that they sign up new members, and frequently 'shut down' for the winter season. So, since I'm in instant gratification kind of gal, I decided to sign up for FCF. I would call FCF a "non-traditional CSA." They sort of combine the concept of a CSA with that of one of those organic produce delivery services, and therefore are bigger and able to offer a lot more convenience than most CSAs. Full Circle is a real organic farm in Carnation, but its customers are not members...in other words, you pay as you go, rather than signing up to be a shareholder in the farm for a whole year. In the winter, they keep the boxes full but supplementing produce grown in sunnier climes. The service is affordable, the produce has been as or good or better that what you find in the grocery store, there are plenty of pick-up sites, and the website is amazingly functional and user-friendly. I had planned to switch to a more traditional CSA come spring, but now I think I'll stick with FCF! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, AND DON'T GET DUPED BY ANY GROUPON DEALS!!! This company make their deliveries at around 3-4am every morning, with their trucks roaring down the street and stereos turned up at full blast. They wake up our kids every time, and we are all cranky the whole day. Besides, the quality of their produce is terrible (maybe worse than Albertson's or Safeway), and their prices are outrageous, as can be said for anything that is loosely labeled as "organic." When I called them to complain about their odd hours delivery schedule and loud truck noises, they basically told me to go and screw myself. This company deserves a zero star rating. read more

I just got my first delivery! I'm a raw vegan who juices everyday. I loved what I got. I was blown away by the freshness. I got a small watermelon that was the best I've ever had. My order goes to my sons house because I'm not in the delivery area yet but it's pretty close. So far I highly recommend this service! read more

I've been very pleased with Full Circle, which works with my life style. I work so much that going to the grocery store is such a pain but I want to really eat better. Knowing that I'll have a box coming every week (I get the smallest, the seed box), encourages me to eat healthy and very good meals. It comes to my door, for pete's sake. I've seen other comments about farmers markets and so forth--when one has the time to get to the markets during the growing season, that's great and you're still supporting our local markets. But I personally haven't experienced any poor produce from Full Circle and I've experienced great customer service (right down to a few thank you treats added to my order occasionally.) I recommend Full Circle. read more

I have been a subscriber to Full Circle Farms for over 5 years. When I first signed up there was a ton of seasonal variety and the vegetables were very fresh and looked great. If they didn't, I emailed them, and they took care of things right away. They even had community farm to table events out in Carnation...that were amazing! When they updated their website, they MUST have changed ownership. The food has become incredibly mundane, the customer service is non existent (as taking 3 days to respond is unacceptable), and the quality of food has become very poor. I have stuck it out for the last year thinking that they were just going through something. I sent an email letting them know that sadly after 5 years of being a loyal customer I would no longer be ordering. I didn't say much as to why...I figured if they were truly interested they would ask. Not surprising...they didn't bother to ask why I was terminating service nor did they thank me for my business. They must have so much business that they aren't interested in keeping loyal customers. Instead they are going with the philosophy that the the business will just keep on coming. Good luck with that. read more

We have been using this service for at least a year, if not more. I love that they deliver in bags that are easy to store before we return them the following week. It is too bad that the folks that left reviews did not call them before posting. They will credit you with any produce that is over ripe AND tell you that they want to know! All and it it is a good value and keeps us in organic produce on the weeks that I have little time to grocery shop. Well done! read more

I feel like customer service has been very accommodating to me. I haven't had a problem thus far. I love the organic produce and the fact I'm supporting my local farmers. The only downside is that they can be a little pricey. There vegetable pot pies are the best! read more

Received my first delivery. OMG! So delicious. I'm convinced organic really does taste better. The Asian pear was crisp with just the right amount of sweet and cream. The mangoes are firm without being too firm and the flesh sweet, tangy with hints of honey. Tasty. read more

1st rate produce 2nd rate customer service 3rd rate Delivery! I gave Full Circle 6 months of business and it was fine the produce was great, everything was fresh and beautiful. I didn't have a problem with the price, it's a luxury I was willing to pay for, I had never eaten so healthy. If there was a minor glitch, I called and they took care of it by the next order, but I had to be hyper vigilant and I was on the phone maybe once every two months. The problem though was the delivery. The noisy beast of a truck would wake me up every time. I had to appologize to alot of my fellow condo dwellers every time I saw them. The last straw though was they delivered it to my neighbors down the street. I chased down the driver in my PJs at 5am in the morning to let him know it was the wrong house and he ignored me ( I think they wear ear protection because of the noise level of the truck) or didn't hear me. I called customer service to cancel and they apologized and gave me 40 percent off my next order, so I reluctanly gave them another shot. Next week same issue. I didn't want to stop, I loved ordering online and I always added extra grocery items. I didn't even mind the substitutions (they where rare). I felt that customer service heard my issue, but did nothing to resolve it. read more

I've been trying Full Circle for a few weeks, with mixed results. Like others, I've experienced some produce that was wilted/bruised while other items have been great. However, I am canceling my subscription to Full Circle today. The reason is that a cucumber from Full Circle gave me severe food poisoning, most likely salmonella, the day after my most recent box arrived. I thoroughly washed the cucumber, noticed some bruising, cut off the bruised part and ate the rest. I was up all night with severe chills, vomiting and diarrhea. I've eaten organic produce from my local supermarket for years and never had a problem. I will return to doing that and am ditching Full Circle for good. I wanted to warn others about potentially getting food poisoning. read more

Wildly overpriced. The produce I got was nice enough, but the price! Higher than very high end grocery stores. Plus, you're supposed to be able to customize your order. But they didn't have everything we signed up for. Okay, it can happen, even though we only ordered a few days in advance. So, I would have expected them to let me know and ask what I might want instead. No way -- they just substituted what they happened to have some extra of. Also, confusing delivery -- they gave an address where I was supposed to pick it up, then put the boxes of produce in the back of the house, without any sign to tell you about that. So, it was a bit of a hunt even to find the delivery. To even start the service, they make you sign up for recurring payments. Then, when I went to cancel -- there's no clear cancellation option on their website! You apparently have to email them and request cancellation. I think it's really poor practice to encourage people to set up on a web site for recurring payments, but not to have a simple way to cancel. read more

I was initially very excited about fresh local produce; however, the fruits and veggies weren't fresher than Safeway. I can't speak to the overripeness of the produce since I had issues with my apartment letting me know my box had arrived, but half of the produce was underripe. One item was missing too. They gave me a credit on my account for the missing item, but I won't ever use it because I was completely disappointed with their product. The customer service wasn't the best either. I first emailed them about an item missing and later tried to email them about the issue with my apartment (not really their fault, but my apt said that they said I should contact them [obviously not correct]), and they just said this was never brought up in my first email, so it's on me. At this point, I knew I couldn't talk to them about the poor quality of the produce since I didn't bring it up in my first email. They say that they guarantee the quality of their boxes, but make sure you bring it up initially or you're screwed. Overall, go to a local farmers market or grocery store. The produce is much better there, and you can see what your getting. read more

I've been a FCF subscriber for over a year now, They have been quite reliable--any problems have been very minor. They are also more flexible than a purely local CSA. The problem with trying to restrict yourself to local produce around here is that pickings get very slim around February. Most local CSA simply shut down in the off season, just like most of the farmers' markets do. Because FCF is willing to ship produce in from elsewhere, they can keep going all year around. I know people who think this is just awful, but the truth of the matter is, you can go on their Web site and sub out their default foods for something more local (kale for lettuce, or apples for mangoes). That's what I do, and I don't even consider myself a locavore--I just think the quality is better when produce doesn't have to travel. You can also use their Web site to buy additional produce from a much greater selection to supplement your regular box. The prices for produce can be signficantly lower than what you see at PCC or Whole Foods ($1/pound less for tomatoes and onions, for example). It's definitely worth looking into if there's a particular foodstuff you use a lot. read more

I had a poor customer service experience with Full Circle Farm. After being mislead by their sign up content they did not deliver to my home as I was expecting, and when I called to find out where my delivery was, I was informed that it had been sitting at a pickup location for 2 days. They do offer doorstep delivery but in this case they were thoroughly unsympathetic to my request for a refund. It baffles me that a small company like this would be so un-accommodating to a first time customer. All I wanted was either a refund or a cancellation, trying it at my door next time. It's too bad for them that there are other organic delivery companies serving our area that not only deliver ONLY to your door, they are less expensive. Needless to say, my first time visiting FCF is the last time. read more

I got my first produce box from them yesterday, and it was pretty disappointing. Three of the items in my box had mold on them when it arrived. Two of the items I can probably salvage (not that I should have to), but one tangelo was so moldy that when I picked it up, the rotten skin stuck to the bottom of the box and that part of the rind just melted off. I had to throw it away right off the bat. Secondly, the main item in my box that I was very excited about getting ended up being substituted, with no note made about it either beforehand on the website or on the receipt I got. I sent them a message about it, and they credited me $6.50 and told me that next time I should order it from the greengrocer section to make sure I actually get it. (Unfortunately I sent this message after I realized that some of the food I got was moldy and I am not sure it is worth bothering with another message.) The rest of the produce was pretty alright. I DID get two incredibly ripe, delicious mangoes, so I will give them that, but as they were imported from Mexico I feel like I probably could have still saved money getting them at a grocery store and not had any pangs of guilt for not supporting local agriculture. I had a Groupon for this order, so it cost me half of what it normally would cost, but I definitely would have been upset if I had actually paid almost 40 dollars to get some moldy fruit and unwanted substitutions. For my money, going to the farmers market and actually getting the produce I want, without mold on it, is definitely the way to go. read more

I got a Groupon for this and was shocked to find that my basket contained (1)mostly products from California and Mexico (2)out of season fruits. After years of scratching my head while navigating the produce section of any grocery store and usually walking out with the same 6 items every time, I decided to give Full Circle a shot. I have to say that I am very impressed with the service. The varied selection has allowed me to cater my meals around the produce, rather than the meat, which is far more exciting to me. Pros: Produce has been fresh and healthy looking upon arrival Delivery service has delivered when scheduled Selection is varied and you can switch out any undesired items FCF representative called me personally to inform me that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and easy credit policy in the event of any items not meeting my expecations. Cons: I was expecting more choices to be made available, but perhaps this is a seasonal limitation Delivered in a large box, with minimal packaging. Many items are left fully exposed and I could have used a bit more protection to improve fridge life. I will say my refrigerator is of mediocre quality and the crisper is nothing more than a glorified cubby. If the number of choices is increased in the future then I will gladly change my rating to a 5... that is the only thing really keeping me from being blown away. read more

Great food, horrid customer service. Based on the reviews below this is a pattern that Full Circle MUST address before they drive all their customers away. I've had issues in the past with delivery problems, but this week was the worst. Waited for my order to arrive (with food for our Easter guests) and nothing showed up. Received a form email stating that there was an error and they would have it there by 7pm that next night. (probably my first clue should have been the form email - they obviously have these issues with other deliveries) Contacted them multiple times as to where the delivery was and received absolutely no response. Called again this morning and the person offered me a refund for the missing delivery. A refund? For food not delivered? That's not customer service, that's basic commerce. I asked how I could get my food that I had ordered and she said she didn't know. She didn't know what happened, couldn't contact the drivers directly (what??), and that I maybe shouldn't expect any deliveries. I explained that we hired Full Circle to deliver fruits/veg/and other grocery items each week and we planned our meals around what we ordered (especially with this being a holiday weekend). Her vagueness wasn't helping reassure me to stay as a customer and potentially have to deal with this again. She gladly agreed to cancel my account and get me off the phone. Based on previous reviews I now suspect I'll be talking to them again about the refund of my money. sigh. I'm glad Full Circle is doing so well that they can treat good, loyal customers this way read more

We got a Groupon deal for our first box - $15 for a box that normally costs $30 (supposed to be enough produce for 2 people for a week). We were extremely disappointed - the produce consisted of some wilted romaine, two oranges, two mangos from Mexico, a cantaloupe from Mexico, one bell pepper from Mexico, and two sad-looking potatoes. I'm not sure how a CSA is allowed to provide so much produce from Mexico, but you can certainly count on this service NOT prioritizing local farms. In addition, while we had changed all future orders to 'hold' from 'deliver', the schedule reset after a month and we got a surprise delivery without any notification. We didn't know until I noticed a credit card change several days later, at which point we no longer were able to even get the produce. When I cancelled the order and noted my disappointment, the customer service representative said it was my fault for not reading the fine print about their order auto-renewal policy. Further correspondence with customer service was equally disappointing. I strongly recommend against Full Circle and would urge someone towards a more genuinely local and customer-minded organization. read more

WAY overpriced for what you get. 87 bucks + for a box of mediocre produce that supposedly feeds 6-8 people? Nope. It feeds 3-4 people MAX. And I'm guessing that of the 87 bucks, 30 of it is shipping/handling. So it's really 50 bucks worth of produce, but looks more like 15 bucks worth of produce. Awful. Steer clear.
