A man came to the door recently selling us the idea of fresh produce from the farm. Our first box arrived tonight. We are disgusted with what we received. A peach that was way past over ripe, or badly bruised. A romaine lettuce with the brownest stem showing how old it was. Really old. A zucchini with the stalk end cut off so the actual peeled part was showing - I guess to hide its age. An onion that was already soft. We moved to Washington from Southern California a year ago and have been happy with the amazingly fresh produce that's available here shopping at Metropolitan Market and farmers markets so we decided to give Full Circle a try. We have thrown out better produce than what we received. We should have checked some of the yelp reviews before signing up. read more

We signed up at the Seattle Home Show and cancelled after the first delivery. Pros Nice people! Both in person and on the phone! Very eager to please and to provide great service. Cons... Very unimpressive selection. Wilted lettuce that he threw at least half away. Two rotten tangerines complete with mold on them. Apples, onions, oranges were just fine. It's possible we simply expected too much and it's quite possible your experiences will be better. Just much easier to just shop at QFC and pick out our own produce. read more

I was never on board with this, but my wife talked me into it. The first couple of weeks were ok. But the last couple of boxes, very poor quality, shortages from the box that we are charged for then we have to take the time to call and try and get our money back. If you are out of the product don't charge us. If the quality is poor don't send it and don't charge us if you don't have decent quality. I have been in restaurant management for over 22 years, I would never give anything to a customer that was poor quality. It's not worth the upset customer. read more

I really wanted to like Full Circle. When my first box arrived, I was disappointed to find about 40% of the items were not what I ordered. I emailed Customer Service twice, with pictures, but no one responded. I decided to give it another chance. This week, none of my items matched what I ordered, and one peach was splattered all around the box. I will be canceling. read more

Their produce has been great for the last two orders I made. But I dont like their website, it's so complicated and not user-friendly at all. I hope they try to simplify it, as lay people use it most often. I had to spend so much time looking for where to skip a delivery and now again to add a coupon code. read more

**Updated: 6/22/11 - Full Circle has since reached out to me and corrected all issues/frustrations expressed bellow (leaving the original post for full disclosure). With that issue corrected I have upped my rating for them to 4-stars, as I have had nothing but enjoyable experiences before communications mishap. While I'm not quite ready to knock them down for it, I am starting to feel similar to others who have posted about them getting to big and moving away from the real CSA experience. That's not necessarily bad, and they still offer better produce than you would find in many grocery stores, it's just not a true CSA.** I've been using Full Circle for over a year now, and up until recently I would have given them a 4 or 5 star review. Heck, as recently as two weeks ago I gave them a rave review to a friend who was considering signing up and trying them when they put out their Groupon (or LivingSocial) offer. Full Circle's lucky, because if he would have asked me just four days later I would have told him to stay away! This isn't a complaint about the product, I find the produce to be just fine (like most I wish more of it was local, but I also understand the limitations, especially in the winter). But the customer service is just plain awful. After a year of zero issues, this past March my box was not at the pick-up location when I went to retrieve it. I emailed customer service and they actually credited back the cost of the box to my account. A-OK, stuff happens, I get it. Then last week, again my box was not at the pick-up location as it should have been. I don't know what time the boxes got dropped off, our "official" pick-up window doesn't start until 3pm. I went by at noon just to check, and the boxes were there already, so I imagine they hadn't been there that long. What seemed like the most likely scenario to me was, they forgot my box, so I emailed Full Circle right away, and they replied that my box had been delivered and that maybe somebody picked it up in error instead of their own. Fine, so I went back after work and checked at 4:30, then again at 5, and once more at 7pm. My box wasn't there. So, if somebody did pick up my box on accident, apparently they thought to themselves, "screw it let's just keep this guy's box". I suppose there is also the chance that somebody just flat out stole my box. But I don't understand why I would have been targeted twice, why pick on only me? Here is where it gets really frustrating, though, I never heard back from Full Circle again after the initial email telling me to check again in case somebody took it on accident and brought it back. I continued to email them, three or four more times, only to be completely ignored. Both my wife and I work full-time; calling them on the phone isn't convenient. However, since they insisted on just ignoring my emails, probably hoping I would just go away, my wife was able to take time out of her work day and call them this morning. That resulted in a whole bunch of NOTHING. In addition to having a rude tone, and acting as if my wife's questions were a big time inconvenience to her, Wendy, offered no help, no suggestions, and of course won't credit us back for our box. Now I understand due to the way the service works, with our pick-up location simply being an unmonitored front porch, that when a box goes missing it becomes my word vs. theirs. Anybody can just claim their box wasn't there and get a free box. So, while I wouldn't necessarily agree with the decision, if they can't offer the refund due to the process being at customers own risk, I could understand their reasoning for such a policy. But at least explain that to me, don't ignore all my emails, and then blow my wife off when she calls in. The lack of caring for their customers is just appalling. Thank goodness farmer's market season is about here. I look forward to some service with a smile. read more

I have been a member for a couple of years. I was a 200% supporter of Full Circle. Great products and customer service. I had nothing negative to say about them. Oh, how I enjoyed my experience with them! UNTILL a couple of month ago. I noticed that the quality of the produce start going down hill; bruised, wilted, dehydrated, supposedly fresh produce. And they changed their website. I know it's been only a few weeks and it takes time to get used to anything new but I HATE THEIR NEW WEBSITE. I will cancel my account. I will keep checking in and I might come back in the future but for now, I can't spend my money here. read more

We've been getting the CSA box for 5 months now. This is going to be our last week. Surprisingly little in the boxes in actually local. Strawberries from Mexico, fruits from California, etc. We're not interested in supported big farms from far away, even if they are organic. read more

Wow, I am so extremely disappointed. This company has been branching out and adding cheese and eggs from local farms to its offerings - which I haven't minded so much. Last week, however, it decided to start selling meat from a local slaughter house. We are a vegetarian family who makes most of our meals from just the produce in our box. Making money on the suffering & death of sentient creatures, no matter how "humanely" murdered, no longer makes this a farm I am willing to support nor give my business to. read more

Purchased a Group On and was directed to their website to redeem the Group On. As part of using it, the company asks for you to signup for a recurring membership and require a credit card. This is not consistent with the sales literature when I purchased their Group On. I confirmed this was the case with customer service. Disappointing and deceptive business practices. read more

I was very excited to try Full Circle, as going to the grocery store weekly for fresh produce can be very time consuming. I love the selection at my local Whole Foods, but I often only make it there once or twice a month leaving me with a shortage of fresh fruits and veggies. I took advantage of a discount offer I found on Amazon Local (or Living Social, I can't remember), and anxiously anticipated my first order. The only downfall to the service (I thought at the time) was that they deliver overnight, and since I live in a gated and locked entry building, I would have to buzz the delivery driver in anytime between 9:30 pm and 5:30 am, or they would leave my box on the sidewalk outside the front gate. The first few orders were decent. They arrived around 2:30-3 am, and the quality of produce was just okay... Not all local as they advertise, and I was expecting. Some produce came from Mexico! Mexico is not local to Washington state folks! My third delivery arrived in their new insulted bags rather than a box... Great idea to keep things cold, however when I pulled out my lettuce it was COVERED in aphids that unfortunately found their way to most of the rest of the bag as well. I realize aphids are quite common with organic produce since they don't use pesticides, and not harmful to be eaten, but quite alarming to find and totally disgusting nonetheless. Needless to say, I ended up throwing away more than half the contents of that week's delivery. I got on the website, hoping to cancel my membership before I was charged for the next delivery, but I was too late. I requested that that be my last delivery, and contacted customer service about the infested delivery since they guarantee "100% Satisfaction." I received an email where they apologized that my FIRST delivery was undesirable, and saying if this happens in the future to contact them right away so they can issue a credit for the items that were inedible. I wrote back, explaining that it was my most recent delivery that was bad not my first, and I had since cancelled my membership because infested produce is not what I had hoped for to say the least. I asked that they review my original email and to let me know how the situation would be rectified. I got an email back saying I would receive a credit to my Full Circle account for $3.50 to make up for the bad lettuce. WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER HALF OF THE DELIVERY THAT WAS INEDIBLE?! Furthermore, why would I want a credit to an account I have already cancelled and will not use again?! What a waste of time and money, and their claims of 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed are BS. They are only willing to minimally compensate you if and only if you continue to use their service. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service and a serious lack of commitment to their products, services, and promises to their customers. read more

Half of my order was cancelled before my box delivered and today my box was so empty as to be a joke. I did not get several of my veggies although the packing list claimed they were included. These past two weeks have been terrible in terms of missing items or items becoming unavailable right before delivery. read more

I'm so pleased with Full Circle's produce, products and service. The first three weeks sheltering in place had me baking nothing but banana bread and cookies and led to cravings of fresh veggies, bug salads and organic options! I gave the produce delivery 5 weeks to wow me. At first I thought the wilting and rotten fruits and vegis were my fault. Surely I hadn't gotten to them quick enough.... but the last delivery consisted of fuzzy peaches. Problem being, the fuzz was mold. The kale was limp and the spinach was yellow. Another $35 compost load. read more

It's really annoying when they assume I want another 10 weeks of boxes when my original subscription runs out and charge me $370 without even telling me! I got the first 10 weeks because I was going to be in Seattle, I didn't get a 20 week subscription because I was going to go home during winter break because I am in school. Now they've recharged me another $370 and they refuse to refund me the full amount because they've already started delivering (unbeknownst to me!). I was planning to resubscribe with them AFTER I'd returned home from break but now I don't want anything to do with them read more

Well, 2 weeks in a row the delivery is very late (wondering if we even get ours today!!!). And the phone has been disconnected. They shouldn't be soliciting new customers or even schedule a delivery time for our area if they can't keep up with the volume, simple as that. We depend upon these deliveries and adjust our weekly grocery shopping list accordingly (3/4 of us are immune-compromised so even one visit a week out is a very high risk for us), and we would much prefer to give our business to small farms even at a higher cost (one of us grew up on a farm so understand how farming works and how this pandemic is affecting farms). But if you can't even receive your delivery nor get any response as to when it would potentially be arriving, it doesn't matter. We are going to cancel our subscription. They obviously can't handle the business that they have. read more

My first review. I felt it was important to warn people what they were signing up for. I signed up with a very nice rep who knocked on my door. I was excited to engage with a well intentioned "conscious company". I scheduled to received my first delivery today. At 3AM last night I woke with a start. Someone was coming through my gate. Not expecting it would be the produce I ordered, I got up and dressed and went looking for who was prowling. I was unable to get back to sleep with a healthy dose of adrenaline. Considering some of the things I have slept through, I don't think of myself as a light sleeper. The delivery time was not mention nor appears written on the paper work or website. I did call and cancel my account with a friendly but neutral "this is what we do, well mention it to the drivers". My card was not charged for the delivery, but my day is shot. This isn't important to Full Circle, but pretty darn important to me. I am quite certain my feedback was not valuable. Years ago, I received produce from New Roots. If you are searching for a service, I would recommend New roots. read more

I loved getting produce from Full Circle. The produce was fresh and if ever there was a problem with my delivery they were quick to take care of it. Then three weeks ago that all changed. They changed their delivery service. My produce is delivered to my workplace which closes at 5PM. Since the change the delivery service has been trying to deliver after our business has closed. The driver even left groceries that belonged to other people, not at my office, on our shipping dock. One week they tried to make our night janitor to take the delivery, something he is not authorized to do. Full Circle has done NOTHING to rectify this delivery problem! I received a refund for the order I did not receive, but I've cancelled the service. I'll go to Sunshine market instead. read more

Our household has used Full Circle for 5 years. Supporting a local organic farm is useful & important. Delivery service is reliable and their customer service very attentive. Highly recommend! read more

Using Full Circle changed the way we eat... for the better. My repertoire of cooking expanded, and it was healthier. The bad news is much of the produce came wilted, and sometimes it came in very poor condition. I'd like to support them, but will need to try again later to see if they can get a handle on quality control. read more

I wish I could give more stars but lately the quality has gone down and for almost a week I cannot reach customer service by phone or email. I used to love this service but now it comes all wilted in a box instead of a bag. I put my bag out 90% of the time and if I forgot the week before I leave them all out. My last order I got one tangerine that was all bruised instead of three normal ones and a substitute of three things that were not good. I realize this can be hit or miss with what is ripe and available but this service is going downhill in my opinion. I hope this is just a blip in service. read more

I originally signed up for Full Circle about 4 years ago, when it was harder in my area to find good organic produce. The produce at that time was great! But has slowly become meh. The fruits and vegetables lately have come wilted, bruised or even missing. Customer Service reps are great, they will quickly credit your account. But the fact is, I still lose out that week of produce that you maybe already had a plan for. There isn't anything that will WOW you, not all the produce is local. I would say more than 50% of the produce comes from out of state (or Mexico). Last week Full Circle changed their model on how to swap produce that you are maybe not keen of. It used to be swap produce A to produce B (from a list), straight across. Now you swap produce A to Produce B, but it isn't a straight across trade, there is now a dollar amount tied to Produce B and Produce A (but you don't know the dollar amount tied to produce A). So now if I get rid of something originally in my bag (produce A)I have to add something from the list of products (produce b). However now you have to choose something with the same dollar amount that you got rid of, or for something that is more expensive then what you decided you didn't want. I played around with this model for a bit, to see if I could get the same amount of product without paying for more... I COULDN'T. The best I could do was lose 2 items or pay more. Which I didn't want either. So I decided to cancel my service with Full Circle. Don't get me wrong - it was great when my options for organic vegetables and fruits were limited and the convenience of getting them delivered to your home is helpful. But there is now nothing that really makes me need or want to stay. read more

I signed up for Full Circle but never received my first delivery. We were so looking forward to our veggies and had even planned our next few meals around what we were scheduled to receive. I emailed their customer service twice but still no response. In theory, this service is great. In practice, it's horrible. What good is a delivery service that may or may not actually come through and fails to respond to the customers it left in the lurch?? read more

I just picked up my first order from Full Circle Farm. The vegetables were mostly fine, but this is NOT community supported agriculture in any way. They claim that they are located in Washington. Then why do my mushrooms from from Canada? While is the Kale from California? And why in the WORLD am I getting roma tomatoes from Mexico (that were completely unripe and green, btw)? All from totally different farms. The only thing that actually came from full circle farms were the beets. This was out of 12 different items, only one other of which came from Washington state. If this is what Full Circle Farms considers acceptable, than I can go grocery shopping myself somewhere else, thank you very much. read more

I gave it a try. My 1st order and hopefully last. The organic mangos were it only bruised, they were on the recall list, It was just in the news, hard to believe they would include them. The peaches were bruised too. Carrots were wilted. Broccoli were not fresh. They are not fresh. Very disappointed. I could get fresher getting them from Safeway. Glad I only paid 1/2 the price. read more

Tthe produce is a ripoff. You're paying premium coin here for it, no difference than shopping full price at the PCC. You're not going to get anything different than whats at the store in winter months, but in spring you'll get more of what they themselves grow. Organics is a luxury, don't get carried away here, it's a business with a lot of smoke and mirrors of a "farm" and "local folk". I found my last box to be pretty sparse, there wasn't much that was nutritious and hearty. You're paying for a service, not so much the food. read more

I am enjoying Full Circle CSA. The veggies are very fresh and being able to customize the box is really helpful for meal planning. Was on holiday recently and able to adjust delivery for my return. I am a Happy Customer! read more

Their produce was good most of the time, when you got what you ordered. I received 10 deliveries before giving up on them, I got short orders (missing items), wrong items, spoiled items, or overcharged on every delivery. I got to know their Customer Service really well, they were always polite, but I just got tired of contacting them for every order. I DON'T recommend them. I have given them three chances over the past 4 or 5 years, but there has been no improvement. read more

Like others, I've experienced nothing but headaches with the delivery. Examples include: almost never getting side door delivery (something I even called customer service for help with); receiving numerous broken eggs; and receiving a bag intended for another household. The produce has been good, and I like the small ("seed") bag...but, the delivery mess-ups are too much of a hassle to justify staying with the company when there are many other similar businesses in town. read more

It's like Christmas every other Friday! I get the garden sized box (it comes in a bag) of produce every other week. The quality is amazing and my three year old loves unpacking the bag with us and is even eating more veggies now! I also feel better about where my money is going, knowing it supports the small farms directly. read more

I love this service. Makes me and the family eat healthier without even trying.

I've used Full Circle for over a year now. I regularly received one or two unusable pieces of fruit or vegetable in each box. The prices are high. I can do the same or better buying organic produce at my local grocery store or co op. I honestly put up with it for so long because they have specialty add on items like fresh pasta from Seattle that i can't get anywhere else. However, the recent changes to their methods of calculating the price of the box have really distorted the worth of their service. If you are fine accepting the items they choose for you, it's not too bad. However, if you change items they jack up the price of those items. For example, if I deleted all of my items and replaced them with squash that was labeled as $2.69 each, their system would allow me to get 7 of the squash for $35. The squash became $5 each. What I believe is happening is that there is a hidden delivery fee. They fill your box with cheap produce so you feel you are getting a lot for your money. If you try to get specialty items, you can get very little when about one third of the box price is really a delivery fee. I will be using up the credit I have on my account, and then I'm done. read more

Alright I'm no super-chef... in fact, I tend to throw away half of the stuff in the box. BUT, the fruits are super sweet and the veges taste great. I have them deliver every other week. The cost is about the same compared to if you were to buy organic produce from a local grocery store -- except FCF delivers them to your door. read more

What a terrible little company! First of all, their website works worse than something that was created in 1990s. Unless you are totally bored and have all day to explore, finding anything there fast is impossible. Then, once you've finally ordered the box, good luck finding their pick up location! We drove to one that was nearby ... and ended up in the middle of a residential neighborhood with no location in sight. Then of course, they have more convenient locations, but those are all restricted for Microsoft employees and alike (wtf would you even list a location if 1/2 of your users can't go there?). Their customer support is also only open from 9am to 6pm.... but their pick up location are either open from early in the morning or during the day and past 6pm. So, why in the world is your customer support not open during the hours when your customer is trying to get your produce? All-in-all, I haven't gotten my box yet (because it's so farking impossible to find it), but I already hate this company whole-hartedly. Yay :/ p.s. Yeah sure, the produce might be good (as reviews suggest), but if your customer experience is hell, then you should go out of business and let someone else do a better job, imo. p.p.s. There's been a few comments below regarding their somewhat awful service, and every comment got a nice response along the lines of: "Blah blah blah, we appreciate your feedback... we'll do better, blah". Don't promise, do better. read more

I tried this because of the Group on deal. Even with the discount, it was not worth it. My original order, out of 11 items had 5 types of lettuce. I called to get a swap out and the lady was very rude and told me I will get what we send you. The site has an option for subsitutions, unless you are on Group on. My deleivery: Three small rock hard pears 2 lemons from California, that were the size of ping pong balls 1 melon, the size of a baseball, site shows large cantelopes only a handful of greenbeans 1 fennel bulb that was dried out 1 tiny rock hard avocado I asked for tomatoes, onions, and carrots, none were to be found. I did not know that I would have to ripen my own order. All this for the low price of $40 dollars. Must be all that shipping. This was a sad box for a new customer. You have to cancel if you do not want to continue because it is a recurring charge. Good, The radishes and the cucumbers were tasty read more

Just signed up with Full Circle this month and have been very happy so far. I really don't understand why people complain of food being from somewhere else. Does anyone really think you get fruit in Washington in winter? What would the selection be if it was just from one place? I like having the variety and selection, and if it comes from somewhere else, but is still organic, thats fine by me. Food tastes great as well. And for those that complain that it goes bad too fast, maybe you should switch to the non-organic sprayed chemical stuff, thats why they do it, so it would last. Organic=fresh and needs to be consumed quickly. Common sense. read more

What I like about Full Circle: -great website -customization of orders -home delivery for $4 extra/wk -nice people. Why we left Full Circle after trying it on and off over the last few years: -lots of errors - my husband has an anaphylactic reaction to stone fruits, which they know, but continue to put them in our box -the "quiet as a mouse" home delivery means a loud truck with crashing doors at 1:00 - 3:00am, and if you're really lucky, a guy talking at full volume on his cell phone which wakes up you and your neighbors and you tell Full Circle and give them second chances and nothing gets better -I second the concern of several others here that the food is not local and seasonal. Someone else here said "if I want that I can go to QFC" - this is an excellent point. I'd rather have my sleep at night, fun at the farmers' markets, and go to QFC if I'm in a pinch. read more

We were so excited to receive our first delivery, which came with beautiful fruits and veggies. The next delivery was missing the strawberries which our invoice had advocated as being ready for the picking but FC replaced them with more blood oranges (totaling 8 - meh). Our friends who also receive produce from them got THEIR strawberries but having grown up in eastern Washington, I understand the ebbs and flows of crops. In our next delivery, we were missing an item listed on our invoice with nothing to replace it. I emailed and called (reaching a voice mail only) to report the problem and they promptly apologized and credited us the amount. Appreciated. Sadly, our next scheduled shipment just never showed up. We were out of town, so I did not alert FC to its absence until 3 days after it was supposed to arrive. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt in case a neighbor who also subscribes had accidentally taken ours or something like that. No one had seen it though, so I complained. Again, we were unable to reach anyone via phone but we received an email shortly thereafter saying we'd been credited (not reimbursed) in the amount of our missing veggie box to our account. We were also told that, if we had reported it sooner they might be able to locate our box so in the future, let them know about a missing box ASAP. Fine. This morning, we were set to receive another and, it too was missing. I called immediately (again, unable to reach anyone by phone no matter which selection I made on their automated service) and I emailed them promptly. Still haven't heard back from anyone. I am willing to give it one more shot, because I really, really want this to work out. However, Husband is irritated and ready for us to cancel. This seems like less of a customer service issue per se and more like perhaps they're getting a little too big for their britches but it's still a pretty bad way to keep customers. read more

Unreliable but good at apologizing. This is the first review I've ever written. I've given Full Circle many chances over the years but they continue to disappoint. 10% of the time there will be inedible produce (not fresh, damaged) and 20% there will be substituted items or items left out. Each time I receive appropriate customer service (refund) however the order is already just above my affordability. Tonight, the night before Thanksgiving, my order delivery changed twice and is still not received. I am willing to pay real costs and will forever support CSAs but I've hit my limit with this one. NEXT DAY FOLLOW UP -- delivery bag was in the lobby, don't know how or when they got in. They mistakenly doubled the green beans and I didn't recognize the kale; it was so thin and wilted I thought it was lettuce. The leek is also in poor/inedible condition. read more
