I purchased a twelve week subscription and had twelve weeks of fresh fruit delivered at the bottom of a steep driveway in our milk delivery box. The foods were varied and when I had time I prepared a beet soup that my husband praised highly. "I didn't know I liked beets!" and that is a great feature of this service. For twelve weeks the entire order was fresh, nothing rotten or wilted. My 19 month old son very much enjoyed the colored carrots, the three plums a week, peaches, and cantaloupe. Spinach I put into egg white muffins, roma tomatoes I made a marinara sauce one week. The tomatoes, cabbage, potatoes, and leafy greens I began giving away because my time to dedicate to menu planning is zero hours per day as my little guy is becoming more active. For me, Full Circle is the perfect hybrid of a local farm and organic produce supplier. Because they can't produce the entire spectrum of produce year round on their own farm, they source from other local and west coast organic farms to provide the perfect variety of produce in each bin. Other advantages of Full Circle: The website is well designed to allow me to make substitutions for any of the items in the bin; they also sell ethically produced meat, eggs, etc (I was looking into meat CSAs and was really happy when I found out I could just use Full Circle); you can add produce to the bin from the "green grocer," you can easily put a hold on deliveries whenever you don't need a bin, and they have a professional customer service staff to handle any problems that come up. They also credit you an entire bin if you recommend them to friends, which is a great way of showing appreciation to their customers. I've tried out four organic produce suppliers, and so far Full Circle has the best combination of convenience, variety, and quality. read more

OK so we kept the box and decided to give them a few more goes. Over the last few months I have had a chance to do some comparison shopping at Fred Meyer, Whole Foods and PCC. As you can guess WF and PCC were totally over priced, so It was a close tie between Full Circle and Fred Meyer on price. Freddies sales and coupons put them a little ahead, plus the added bonus of a larger selection. But at the end of the day we are sticking with Full Circle, oh my gosh!! We are on to our 6th box tomorrow. We love that it is delivered so even if I don't get out we are guaranteed fresh veg in the house. They allow you to change what you don't like ie, if its not local, not to mention we have tried stuff we wouldn't usually eat, its been fun! While I am still a little funny about having the quality of the food picked for me, if I have had any problems with it, they were more than happy to refund the price of that piece. The customer service has been great!! So my conclusion is I am one happy mama, eating organic fruit & veg at an affordable price, trying new things and its delivered!! I, like others, was very disappointed to find out that a lot of the produce they put in their boxes comes from Mexico, Florida, etc. I think something even came from Peru? Look, I understand that in the winter in WA you are just not going to get much. In that case, I think it's acceptable to supply boxes with fruits and veggies from CA. But I really don't need to have a mango in the middle of winter. I never had a problem with the quality of what I got. And as a plus to them, their website is great. I stopped and re-started my service several times to coincide with my travel plans, and they were extremely accommodating and always responsive. Being able to personalize your box seemed awesome at first, but now I see that it causes part of the problem. I always tried to double up on things that were from the farm, but some weeks only 1 thing would be from the farm. I was very serious about selecting a CSA. In the fall I went to the farm tour and visited a few different farms. I was impressed with FCF when I talked to the woman at the farm. But I feel like I was lied to, or maybe that the truth was hidden from me. She didn't mention that so much of my produce would come from so far away. The 'C' stands for 'community.' So you could say that Full Circle Farm is an SA, not a CSA. read more

I've rarely been this annoyed! The produce was very meh for $40! mostly kale & lettuce. and 2 potatoes. yup, 2 small ones. And not even particularly local. I live down the street from PCC, so i decided to cancel my membership. but it was not so easy. I specifically requested to cancel my Full Circle membership on 8/5 as I was not happy with the produce and I was also leaving town. Today i come back and found week old produce outside my door and also being charged for it. This is terrible customer service and amounts to forcing your products down the customer's throat. i also work in a consumer business and if a customer cancels on 8/5, I will not deliver on 8/9. And definitely not charge on 8/6. I'm going to tell everyone I know about how unethical you guys are! read more

A solid 3 stars all around. I was a FCF subscriber for several months, spanning from late winter into early summer. The price was reasonable for the amount of food received, customer service was friendly and responsive whenever I had a question or concern and picking up my produce box was always the highlight of my week. Unfortunately, towards the end I began to feel a little underwhelmed. Living in Seattle with access to farms and farmstands leaves me with high expectations for produce quality and FCF was failing to meet them, week after week. I was getting fruits and vegetables that had clearly seen better days, which is not something one expects of a CSA, even an atypical CSA. The price began to feel a little steep, when I could spend similar cash monies for better quality at the farmer's market. I decided to discontinue my subscription with the thought of maybe picking it up again in the fall when local markets are a little less well stocked. Full Circle farm's CSA is, at best, unreliable. At its worst, it feels like a waste of money. While they offer extras (that you pay for at a premium price), and the perk of being able to fully customize your order (which I did every week with paranoia -- to be sure that I wouldn't receive out-of-state goods, or things that I had found rotten in my box upon delivery in the past), if you're not careful you'll end up with a box full of food that is NOT LOCAL. It might be organic, sure, and delivered to your door -- but it comes from Chile. Mexico. California. To me, CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) should mean that I'm buying directly from a farmer (or a cooperative of farmers) in my region, and not being filtered through what is basically a glorified organic grocery delivery service. I've also given Full Circle Farm's CSA Box a poor rating because I have received moldy or nearly spoiled produce far too often and consistently for comfort. I'm not willing to sacrifice the quality of the produce I eat for a little more variety in the fruits and vegetables I receive year-round. Sign up for Tiny's CSA instead. I keep wanting to like this service (as Amazon Fresh is no longer free with Prime, there is a separate fee - something around $300! a year!!) So this was my back up for grocery delivery. On a few occasions, I have received rotten produce. A cucumber here and there. I keep forgiving them. Stuff like this can happen (I guess). I have contacted customer service about this in the past whenever this happened and they would refund me for whatever was rotten. Nice that they did that, but still annoying that I have to go through this kind of hassle. I have held my orders for a few months now and decided to start back up. I received my bag this week and noticed that there was some webbing on my bag. Not a big deal I guess. Original review: I just so happened to first try out Full Circle with a Groupon in the middle of an extremely hot week. I even got an email explaining the change in delivery schedule. The veggies and fruits arrived early in the morning, around 7:30am. The red lettuce was wilted, the plums were overripe and bruised, the carrots were already soft and the tops were clearly wilted. I specifically got up earlier than my alarm to make sure they didn't sit on my doorstep, so that wasn't it. I ended up throwing a lot of it out. But, because of the "extreme heat" email I had gotten, I decided I'd try it for another week. Literally just got my second order about 45 minutes ago and yup - lettuce is wilted, the bok choy looks a little old, and my cantaloupe of all things is bruised. I know for a fact this week hasn't been hot, so that's no excuse this time. Just sent an email to customer service to cancel. *update Received a private message from one of the managers promising a refund and a cancellation. Not only did I not get a refund but I wasn't expecting a delivery. The produce has been stolen. They delivered to the wrong building and I didn't know to look for it. I didn't know I could hate this company more, but I do. There's not a company out there that I hate more than full circle. My first delivery was wilted lettuce and bruised peaches. My delivery came at 2am, along with a phone call. I get that it's "hot" out, but a 2 am delivery is ridiculous. I called the next Monday to cancel my order and was 3 hours after the cut off time. It's supposedly local delivery, so 4 days should be plenty of time to cancel. I'm changing my rating to 3-stars instead of 4 because after doing some online research I find Full Circle Farm's business goal is to be an large scale organic delivery service along the lines of Amazon Fresh. I give them an "A-OK" rating of 3 stars because I feel that their small farm folksy branding is a little at odds with their actual business model. If you want organic groceries delivered your house, Full Circle Farm can do it. If you are interested in super local and fresh produce for gastronomic or environmental reasons, subscribe to a CSA or go to the farmer's market. Edited to add: Their customer service is amazing, though. They have a very clear website and they will let you customize your order. You can use this to maximize the amount of local produce in your delivery. When I received unripe lemons I reported the problem through their website and they gave me a prompt credit with no hassle. Through their webiste, it is also easy to suspend service or skip an order. read more

FCF recently reduced their box size for those that simply can't keep up with deliveries (Me busy? Noooo...) and you can request every other week for up to three deliveries thereby reducing the amount of possible wasted produce. While I think the produce is okay - apples are tasty, avo stays fresh in the fridge and if taken care of right away, the chard and kale can last up to two weeks. Their major downfall is that they're not in any way sustainable. They use cardboard boxes for delivery and wrap everything from the green grocer in plastic (oh, the irony!!) and that is really disappointing to me, since the idealism of a (somewhat) local, organic harvest should trickle down to how they deliver their product. Their competitor uses reusable plastic tubs, which are picked up at the next delivery. I understand that there would be an initial investment for this route but the long term effects are substantial. We obviously want to be responsible consumers, FCF, so please let us (lettuce? ha!) by providing reusable delivery bins. This is my only complaint about you but I think it's a pretty big one. read more

Maybe it was because we ordered with a living social deal, but the (harvest)box we got was 1/3rd WAY under ripe, 1/3 straight up rotten and had to be thrown out, and 1/3rd edible. I guess I'm happy my girlfriend ordered the largest option, as we at least got a couple meals out of it, but if we would have paid the full $44 I would have been really upset and this would be a 1 star review. Save your money and just go to the store and pick out your own produce. It will be better and probably cheaper. The service is a good idea, but this was just very poorly executed. I really don't know what these negative Nellies are talking about. I have been a member of Full Circle for approx. 6 months. I love them, the produce is excellent and if there might be a problem (as in can happen with any produce from any store) they are happy to credit the damaged item to my account. I get a box every two weeks. You can schedule your deliveries a month out. So I don't understand the problems others have had. Customer service is always happy to accommodate the customer. Once I was delivered the wrong customer's delivery. Customer Service not only credited my whole delivery, but they also told me to keep the delivery I did receive. I think the produce is excellent. I make smoothies and juice so I go through a lot of produce. I think this is a great way to receive additional product. I agree with the reviewer who said that the delivery truck is noisy. I does not bother me, but it does bother my neighbors. This is a problem. Pricing I think is about equal with Whole Foods, but it is delivered to your door. I don't have a Whole Foods in my neighborhood so this is an ideal solution for me so that I don't have to go out of my way to purchase organic. read more

I've been using Full Circle bi-monthly since September and I've had a great experience. Since they leave the greens on all of their produce it lasts longer than grocery veggies and are great to cook with too. I love that they email me and allow me to change my order, it's like getting a present when they deliver. The site could be easier to navigate but I have no real complaints. I've only gotten top quality produce and recipes to go with it. The only time I need anything from the store is bulk foods, so thanks Full Circle. read more

How can you beat supporting local produce and farmers AND having your goodies delivered fresh to your door super early on Monday mornings, AND at a reasonable price, AND having the option of including other delectable goodies such as dairy products, breads, and even ethically treated meats to your delivered order? How can you beat all of this? With their AWESOME customer service. I am just blown away at their customer service and how easy it is to participate in community supported agriculture. Let me count the ways on how excited I am to be a FCF customer: * Delivery options of either getting products weekly or bi-weekly (or you can pick up from locations all over the community with either standard or family size options * You can substitute selections in your box by just emailing customer service and/or permanently omitting specific produce * You can shop in their Green Grocery and select things from organic and locally made tofu to dairy products, breads, and even meats * You receive a newsletter with each delivery with what's going on at local farms AND you get recipes for some of the produce that's been selected in your box * You get a live person when you contact customer service! I've been a customer for about 3 weeks and I've been happy with my produce selections as well as the quality of items received. Of course overall, you're paying more for organic local produce, but it is no different than going to local farmers markets. I have received a couple of items from California (i.e. grapes), but 90% of my selections have been harvested from FCF here in Washington, and I'm always happy to support local farmers. I was introduced to them via Groupon and although I was leery of signing up at first, after I received my first box (I signed up for bi-weekly delivery), I was so pleased with what I received, I kept my membership active. For the price of about one meal out, my boyfriend and I eat well and healthy all week! I put about 5 minutes into selecting the produce in my box. They offer produce that's both local and not, but you can shift your selections around so that you only get local stuff. Then it magically shows up! 6 of the 9 families in my building get FCF, and the boxes always land on our porch without any problem. The produce has always been good quality except for one instance, which I called about and got a credit for. Most importantly, my veggie consumption has gone way up, which is good! There are only two negatives, for me. One, the substitutions are a little out of control. I have a substitution in about half of my boxes. For example, spinach for broccoli, or red beets for yellow beets. Maybe they could add a box on the website where you could pick out a preferred back-up item? That would be nice. Two, the nagging feeling that if I just walked down to the farmer's market with $25 in my pocket, I could do just as well or better on the veggie front. But that's on me to do, not FCF! read more

I was SO excited when I signed up for Full Circle. SO excited that I got a $10 facebook referral discount on my first box. And SO excited that there was a pickup station right across from my apartment, so I'd save on the delivery fee. Unfortunately, Full Circle was very inconsistent. When their produce was fresh, it was phenomenal -- I had some of the best roma tomatoes, snap peas, and granny smith apples ever from FC. When the produce was bad, however, it arrived soft and was often moldy the next day. I will give them credit that they encourage you to speak up; and when I did so about some potatoes that sprouted, some strawberries that were moldy, etc, I was reimbursed their worth. Sincere apology was always given, and a suggestion to "try ordering this item again!" However, and this was especially true with strawberries, the second request for a bad item was typically met with even more disappointment. I had a couple boxes that about a third of the food didn't last a day. I understand organic means not being quite so robust in the face of adversity, but I expected a little more. I can't eat the whole box in 2 days. Eventually I had to cancel my subscription. While Pike Place may not offer *quite* the same convenience and doesn't push me to try new things, at least there, I can do my own quality control. read more

I've been using Full Circle for a month now and I love it! Yes, I have gotten a few things that have gone bad before I've gotten the chance to use them, but for the most part everything has been great. I love that I can substitute out things I don't want (like lettuce, or anything from Mexico), but I do agree that things can get boring from having the same fruits and veggies all the time. But, I have to remember that right now is not prime harvesting season for anything around here except maybe rhubarb, so I'm not going to get much from WA till later in the growing season. I am so mad I let them suck me into this. The produce looks fine, but they sent me a huge bouquet of radishes and a tiny amount of Romaine lettuce...Lots of Kale, and 2 apples and a mango. They sent a small watermelon. I know I could buy all of this at the grocery store for less than $15 but what gets me is they offered it for $15.00 and charged me $33 just because I didn't change the order online! Devious!!! Stopped by their booth at a Remodeling Expo a few weeks ago. Decided to give Full Circle a try because the rep was offering a $15 off coupon code. I don't recall the rep telling me you have to customize your box to receive the discount so I'm glad I read other Yelp reviews. I just received my first box a few days ago and the produce was nice and seemed fresh. It's been 3 days and my bananas are rotten inside and my apples and pears are getting soft. I'm not confident this produce is that fresh. I can definitely get better and cheaper produce at my local farmer's markets. I did call customer service to let them know about the rotten bananas and they gave me a credit on my account without any problems. I also cancelled my subscription without any issues. The gentleman on the phone credited my account for the bananas, charged my credit card and cancelled my account without hassle. I received an email confirmation right away. I cancelled my subscription for a few reasons. First, this is way overpriced for what you get. I can get fresher, local, cheaper produce at my Farmer's Markets. Second, the pick up is not convenient at all for me. In my area, there is no home delivery so I had to go to my local garden center to pick up my box. Pick up time is on a Tuesday and in the middle of the day which is super inconvenient. Third, the produce isn't as fresh or as local as I would like. Pros: Good for busy or lazy people, or people with big households, or those who lack mobility (if you choose delivery) ; website is easy to use; Box is customizable Cons: Produce is not always in the condition I would have bought them at, had I been at a grocery store or farmers market. Can't unsubscribe online, you must call them (For those of us who hate calling anywhere). Pricey IMO compared to grocery stores and farmer's market. It's really not worth the money (without any discounts) for households of one or two people unless your on a produce heavy diet (Vegetarian, Vegan, Raw). I don't see the point in picking up my Full Circle produce when I could just spend an extra 5-10 minutes during my weekly visit to the grocery store and pick out stuff I need/want and just the right amount too. I had Full Circle for over a year and everything started out so well. For the last 4-5 months though, I would be missing parts of my order (I.e. was supposed to receive 5 oranges but didn't get any at all, etc.). I got so tired of having to email them to tell them I was missing produce that was supposed to be in my box. They were great about crediting my account, but when you base your grocery shopping off of what you are having delivered and then don't receive it, it makes for extra unwanted trips to the grocery store. And unfortunately, the quality of their produce slid dramatically. My last box contained all 6 Satsumas with big, brown soft spots (bruising) that were just too unappetizing for my kids to eat. The one cucumber I received was mushy on one end. I really had high hopes for Full Circle, but it was not to be for me. So I've been getting boxes from Full Circle delivered to me for a couple of months now. I work full time, go to school, and don't have a car. So grocery shopping has been a huge chore. It's really nice not to have to make weekly trips. Now I just go to Costco and/or Fred Meyer once or twice a month to stock up on nonperishables. All my perishables now come from Full Circle. Pros: Weekly delivery on front porch (SO NICE), prices a little high but not unreasonable considering the convenience, generally good quality. If you order things that are local and in season, the prices and quality are really quite good. Also, their customer service has been good. When they accidentally sent me bratwurst instead of andouille, I alerted them to the mixup, and they refunded me and let me keep the bratwurst. I still don't know what I'm going to do with it, but hey, free bratwurst. Cons: I wish there was more selection for the weekly boxes. When I want to swap out certain items that I don't care for or won't use, there aren't as many alternatives as I'd like. Dairy and produce do tend to go bad more quickly than mainstream products, but I assume that is due to the fact that they are organic and not treated with artificial life-extending stuff. I just try to eat it fast. Once or twice, things have arrived in not-the-best condition--for example, some carrots (from Mexico) were pretty limp. I used them for soup. That's what I get for ordering produce out of season. Things like cheese and some of the meats seem awfully overpriced and sometimes the prices don't make sense. A whole chicken from Sedro-Woolley, WA (I live near Seattle) is over $25, while a whole chicken from a different farm in California (same size) is $16. I would hang on to this membership from spring through the fall, and probably let it lapse in the winter when there just isn't much variety to choose from, or most of the produce is from Mexico. read more

I switched from Imperfect Produce to try full circle in an effort to support local farms and decrease waste. The produce was good and the home delivery is convenient. However, I was disappointed by the plastic bags. The website is pretty but not easy to quickly see what comes locally and what comes from afar. A lot of the produce comes from CA (which I understand because it's winter) but it would be nice if I could quickly identify it and choose otherwise. I also wish I could just pick up my box somewhere close-by but there are no drop offs in West Seattle. read more

Been using FCF for a few months now. I live in a secure access building, so the option to pick up the box has been really helpful. The vast majority of the produce is of excellent quality, although I have gotten the occasional bad one. The company has been great about crediting my account when that happens so I can't even be annoyed when I open the box up and discover an onion was bruised. Also, it feels a bit like getting a gift when you get an extra orange or bunch of carrots just because one was too small. My only complaint: for a family of 3 (two adults and 1 toddler) the sprout box feels too small and I find myself having to run to the shop halfway through the week. Some of the other reviewers noted not all of the produce is local. The site discloses the farm/location of each veggie and if you wanted only local food you are constrained to seasonally produced options. Not such a bad deal but it might be monotonousness after a bit. read more

Love this place! A co-worker at work told me about FCF and I've been getting their small box bi-weekly since the summer. The veggies and fruits are so fresh. My husband goes crazy whenever we get carrots in our box. They are the best carrots we have ever tasted. My favorite part is the customization you can do. My box is delivered on Tuesdays. Thursdays I get an email letting me know what I will be getting in the upcoming delivery. I'm able to go in and change my order. This makes meal planning so easy! FCF customer service is quick. I contacted them a few weeks back regarding green peppers I received that were all bruised. Within 2 hours I had an email back from them apologizing and letting me know they credited my account. My whole intention when signing up for a bi-weekly box was to eat healthfully and to eat locally. The first shipment contained fruit that was overripe and moldy (some citrust fruit, can't remember which), and the second one as well. I sent an e-mail and got replacements the following week, so they were prompt there. However, one of the reasons I signed up was because they are based in Carnation, as in relatively close to Seattle, and I was looking forward to getting local produce. I was VERY disappinted with oranges from Mexico! Then when I looked through the boxes, about half of 1/3 of the items were from outside the United States. I sent an e-mail to cancel and when they asked why, I explained that I had expected local produce for at least the majority of my box, and also in-season produce. So that was that. I started my FC membership a couple weeks ago. The thing that appealed most to me was the grocery section, not necessarily the produce box itself. I live in a pretty small town far from the city, and organic produce isn't hard to come by, but it is expensive, however organic milk is impossible to find without traveling 30 miles one way to get it. That being said, I wish FC would allow just regular grocery boxes, without having to order the minimum amount of produce for your box. If I could substitute the items in my box for grocery items, that would make the whole service so much better. The quality of the produce so far has been pretty good. I did receive some arugula that was pretty dirty, and even after thoroughly washing it, couldn't quite get the dirt taste to go away. But I do understand that this is organic produce, it won't last as long and it might not look as shiny and beautiful as some of the stuff in the stores, but that's because its not full of preservatives and chemicals and shiny was coatings on the outside. I don't get home delivery where I live, but the drop/pick up station is at our local Feed store, which I thought was nice, its only a few miles from my house and honestly I was surprised FC even had a location out here, because nobody else does! I did downsize, I originally started with the Garden size box, for a family of 4, but was concerned the produce wouldn't get eaten fast enough, so I downsized to the sprout box and it works great. I like to customize my box differently every week and add groceries that fit the theme. Some weeks I'll get things for mexican dishes, other weeks italian. I was approached by Abby at a public event. I had been with Imperfect Produce for about 2 weeks, but I was still willing to hear about Full Circle. She didn't really listen to me. Didn't really talk about how it would be beneficial to me. I'm willing to pay slightly more to help out farmers, better produce, better service. She didn't really talk about how they were different, but started asking me where I lived and what my email address was. Next thing I knew, she was asking me what my address was to deliver my first delivery and that if I walked away I wouldn't get the $15 discount. I had already told her I was with somebody else. It kind of felt like she was trying to sign me up for something without having me realize I was signing up for something. When she asked me to add more info, I had to walk away. I was already paying for a produce delivery service. What was I paying for? When I said that I was already with another subscription and pushed the iPad away, it was this awkward silence. I didn't do the subscription service, but I am not a fan of the sales interaction. She didn't really listen to me and was trying to have me enter information for something that I was already paying for. read more
