I've had 3 or 4 deliveries now and it just has not been good. Produce is not as fresh or high quality as I get at my grocery store. They drop frozen things off overnight with 1 tiny icepack so by the time you wake up, your frozen stuff is all defrosted. Pies were delivered crushed. They delivered bread that was past its sell by date. Eggs were delivered broken and leaking all over the box and my steps. The first time there was a problem they addressed it (eventually - customer service is very slow), so I wanted to give them another chance but it's just every single order there's a problem. I really wanted this to work as I like that you can customize the box and add pantry items, but the poor quality and delivery issues make it not worth it. read more

I signed up for Full Circle to support local farmers, but for a variety of reasons, it's not for us. The three major things were: 1. short shelf life; receiving produce that is on it's last leg, wilted, dirty, is not what I think of when I think of "Farm Fresh!" 2. Expensive; they warn you about that, but $30+ dollars for that box of food aint' happening 3. Not living up to their statements: Just like their Yelp page says, "sign up and get $15 off your first box!" Except I didn't get that despite being told that at the Seattle Garden show. When I inquired, they said its the "first box that you customize." So...they'll sell you on the first box price and if you don't read the fine print, well too bad for you, you've got to customize it for the discount. They also told me they'd deliver on Tuesday but they were off by a day, twice. I'm too busy on the weekends to select specifically what I want or to get it on days they didn't tell me it was coming and to be charged more than what they told me they'd charge and to get a small box of fruit and veggies which weren't very good, clean, and on their last leg. I wish I was writing a glowing review, my family still owns farms in North Dakota and Iowa and I want to support any good farming operation...but this just isn't up to snuff in my opinion. read more

I have been a member of Full Circle's farm to table service for about 6 months now and it has been so rewarding to my life in many ways. Knowing I can always depend on a delicious, flavorful and clean box of fruit every week for me and my children to enjoy, without having to fight the crowds at the at store after a long day at work, is one of the best things. Living in Seattle, a trip to the grocery store for basic items like bananas, bread and milk always ends in me over spending on my grocery budget and with a 2 and 5 year old, sometimes can be a stressful and unsuccessful trip. It's so refreshing that there is never any wax on my apples because my children actually eat the skin of their apples now and knowing they are getting all the amazing health benefits that you gain from being able to eat unwashed local organic produce. Super rad. I've also gained the comfort of knowing that I am actually contributing to paying farmers back for all the hard work they really do in growing, picking and even delivering my food. I get my box in the middle of the night and I wake up to Christmas morning every week when I see my beautiful box of produce sitting on my front porch. And their customer service- wow! Every time I have had something wrong with my box, they are on top of making sure I don't get charged for anything I'm not satisfied with. I've never had a quality issue, other than not properly storing my veggies right away. But they had informed me of the paper list they send with every box to help figure out how to keep my produce fresher longer and since then- I've never had an issue. A few times I got the wrong type of apple, but they didn't charge me for them and I still got to enjoy the wrong apples as well! Score!! I tell all of my friends about this service and I even get credit in my account for every time one of my friends use my code to try a box of produce. I used Full Circle a few years ago, and I have been using the service consistently all this year. They increased the selection a lot (they used to have about 20-30 things to choose from, now its like 60+), they added better scheduling options like "Every Other Week" and putting it on hold, and they honestly have so much fun stuff to choose from plus the staples I need. I stopped using the service a few years back because of some delivery issues and I thought the food was going bad too fast. This time around, customer service let me know I really should get the food in the fridge as soon as possible since they don't use anti-fungal sprays, like put it away that morning (sometimes I would wait til that evening), and customer service ensures I don't pay for anything I'm not in love with. I also use their "Storage Tips & Tricks" now and I get food that lasts for 2+ weeks! (Seriously the bok choi and green onions last forever) Sometimes things are sold out if I don't get to them quick enough, and I have had a mispicked item once or twice, but they are definitely responsive and friendly. I really like knowing which family farms I'm supporting, and skipping a trip to the store. They have a great price on and 18-pack of eggs too! This service is a life-saver for me on a busy week, and it means I can try to meal-plan for the week when I'm feeling extra motivated. Loving it! read more

We've been using Full Circle's CSA delivery off and on for almost 10 years. I love the recent update they've made to their service, being able to customize your box and add or remove items as desired. They've also expanded their "grocery" options so you can add your favorite pantry staples to your delivery too. I like knowing exactly what's going to be delivered so I can plan our family meals for the week ahead and having the box delivered to my doorstep saves me an extra trip to the store and with two small children in tow, that is a convenience I truly appreciate! read more

I've been a Full Circle subscriber since the waxy boxes, delivered to the local community center, then the insulated bags (I see some of those on coat racks at Snoqualmie Summit!), and now cardboard boxes. I'm a fan of customizing the weekly delivery, especially now with COVID having us reluctant to go to the store so often. I have occasionally had problems with bruised or less-than-perfect-looking produce, and in cases where it was inedible, received a no-hassle refund. Overall I've been very happy with the quality and the delivery service. I supplement my box with meat and other items, although a lot of the pantry, etc items are overpriced and I don't bother with those. read more

Depending on the amount of people you're feeding, I think if I switch to a small box for $20 ish (*) it's about what I would get at Whole Foods or the farmers market. I only chose local products and descriptions were online. Arrived at my door by 6am In freezer bag. I did everything on their website and customized my list to what I wanted for the week. I simply wouldn't have signed up if it were that clear. It's not local. Half of the stuff is usually from California or Mexico. It's perished, yo. The lettuce lasts like 2 days. Boom. What? Blammo. The lettuce is dead. The other day our box contained a mooshy cucumber and smashed-up cherries. Every shipment in a... what? A uhh... giant cardboard box. What? Wait, yes. A cardboard box. What... the... FFFFFUUUUUUUUuuuu. Seriously, you're servicing the same people every week. Institute a reusable tote bag system thingy. They have managed to hire Stompy McGillicutty to do our deliveries. Every Thursday night at midnight, this creep does an intense stomping jog past our bedroom window with a headlamp on. I've been a customer with Full Circle for about 2 years now. I've had a few issues with delivery but the customer service has made up for it. The prices I believe are right, although I know many people think organic produce is too expensive. My biggest gripe is that over the past 6 months I have really noticed that the quality of the produce that is delivered has gone down significantly. We've consistently been given bruised pears and apples and oranges that go moldy in a few days. This wasn't the case in our first year of deliveries. I know that full circle has expanded rapidly and I fear that they are taking advantage of the economies of scale but sacrificing the quality of their produce or the quick delivery of it. I want produce that quickly gets to my plate from the branch or the ground. Full circle no longer meets my expectations. read more

It could just be me, but dammit - writing one-star reviews sucks. If you're writing a one-star review, you've been screwed, enraged and/or disappointed by a company, and that's not a position anyone wants to be in. Even the revenge of a Yelp 'Take-Down Piece' isn't gratifying enough to fix the problems that lead to the one star in the first place. Le fucking sigh - this one-star shit is lose-lose. Here's my Full Circle experience in a nutshell - started with a Living Social deal and enjoyed a few weeks of Sprout box delivery before deciding to go all-in with extra meat, cheese and produce from the Green Grocer section of the site. Adding on $50 of grocery items to my weekly order, I was excited for both the quality of the groceries as well as the convenience. At least, I would have been excited about it if I had ever received any of the items I ordered. It seemed that the more money I wanted to spend with Full Circle, the more of a shit- show my weekly delivery became. The first week Full Circle left me empty handed was upsetting, but customer service offered me a refund and apology - while ensuring me that the problem was resolved. The refund ended up being a credit on my account, rather than a refund on my card (very clever - if you can't retain customers, force their hand with store credit...) but I was willing to try again. The second week this occurred triggered a level of hate spiral within me that really wasn't safe for women or children. Having done some pretty extensive meal planning around the items, and prepaid for them, not receiving the correct delivery simply wasn't acceptable. I called in ranting, and customer service was less-than-stellar - having no explanations to give or solutions at the ready. Since customer service was so stumped, I figured that I'd be a huge help if I could solve this problem for them. I'm a giving hater. It went something like this: "Here are three option you can employ to make me happy/shut me up: 1. Have someone refill my order and deliver it to me by tomorrow morning 2. Do the above and offer me a credit 3. Have a manager call me. immediately. Have them ask how they can make this right." This was met with a lack-luster response. Clearly I am insane for suggesting any of the above. Silly me - that 'make the customer happy' thing was so 2002. I was instead offered a credit on my account (which caused me to use some words I'm not proud of) and now I'm writing this review. Later I can look forward to grocery shopping for the items that should have been delivered this morning. This is awesome because I really enjoy paying for things twice. Lesson learned. Side-note to Full Circle: I am available to consult with your customer relations team, at a fee of course, and can offer innovative ideas such as 'don't make customers angry - angry customers write one-star Yelp reviews' as well as reminding you that the goal of a business is to provide a service that's needed to a paying customer - this requires that he service be provided... Not just paid for... Try and keep up... Also, stop using those goddamn cardboard boxes - you are a fucking sustainable organic company!!! Sorry, I digress. read more

I like their produce, but the customer service is so terrible that I recommend that you do not use Full Circle. There is no way to change your address on the website and they don't return e-mails or phone calls. As a result, deliveries were made to my old address (which I was charged for) and I have go in each week to "hold" future deliveries. It's disappointing because I enjoyed the deliveries when they first started. You can get the same quality produce at area markets for a similar cost without the hassle and awful customer service. read more

The reason I signed up for Full Circle Farms was that they used to be a true CSA. Now they are delivering produce from California, Mexico and New Zealand. They are doing the opposite of what they set out to do, support the LOCAL farmer. Other users claim that even though they are no longer a CSA they still try to pick the best produce available... this is pure BS. I have received Mexican roma tomatoes from FCF that were the size of a cherry tomato. Most of the time the quantities are based purely on weight and not on consistent and usable sizes of produce. Not only are they getting produce from all over the globe they are also providing an inconsistent delivery service. I live in a condo building that has multiple FCF clients. When FCF first started delivering to the building they would call in the middle of the night (3:00am-5:00am) to get let into the building. A minor inconvenience to be woken up at that hour, but worth it since they would drop the box off in front of my door. Slowly this has regressed to just dropping the boxes off in the front lobby and to finally being left outside in the rain on a busy street. If you want a true CSA run by people who care about local farming then look elsewhere. read more

I just got my first full circle order. It came in a nice insulted bag. I ordered garden variety that should feed 3-5 people approximately 30-40 serving. This is misleading. The bag I will not feed 2 adults for a week about 14 serving. It is not possible to have 30-40 serving out of the bag I got unless you are a toddler. and I am not over eater. I watch carefully what I eat. It promised fresh local produce. Most of the produce came in my bag came from Mexico. As far as my geography goes, Mexico is still a foreign country. Full circle advertises, the order is customizable. However, there aren't much option to customize, unless you want to pay extra. I am disappointed and will cancel my subscription. read more

I've now been a client of Full Circle for about six months now. I'm still 'on the fence', but not sufficiently unhappy to jump off. THE ROSES: For a busy foodie, the idea of having fresh produce delivered to your doorstep is a nice deal. As a big fan of "Chopped", I love the idea of my own 'mystery basket' of produce that comes each week and forces me to step out of my 'comfort zone' and make dishes with produce I may not choose myself. For the most part, the produce that arrives is in good shape. Being able to go to their website to either hold (which I do a lot) or modify (I don't, because I love the random selection, but I understand those who like the feature) the order. I also really like the insulated bags the food comes in. They are handy for picnics and taking stuff for parties. Eventually you end up with a crapload of them, but then you can set them out on Delivery Day, and the FC guy will pick them up and they'll re-use them. THE THORNS: Like many Yelpers here, my biggest issues are with (a) the produce is frequently not local. I understand it though, because this is the Pacific Northwest, not Central California. You just don't get that broad a variety of produce in this climate, and what the hell to you think you're going to get - local and fresh - in January? I note also that some of my produce doesn't keep as well as the 'non-organic' stuff I get at QFC (possibly 'coz it's natural, organic, and not 'modified'?), and occasionally some items aren't that great looking. From what I've heard though, if I really had an issue, I could call Customer Service. Many Yelpers have noted CS is actually pretty good. Finally, I'm not sure about the value for money. At about $25 for the smallest 'box', I put the prices at the level of rather spendy produce-mongers like PCC, Metropolitan Market, and Whole Foods Porn. But then, you are paying for the convenience of delivery so what do you expect? THE VERDICT: For me, the jury is still out on this service. Nice variety and home delivery is tempered by quality, sourcing, and value issues. For now, I'm still in. Which I thought was weird being I just purchased this groupon, I was emailed a schedule of pickup dates and we left to go out of town. I get back the day of the p/u and I'm charged AGAIN. SO i called customer service "JOKE" I left two messages to finally get a call back and catch them. STRIKE TWO the customer service was RUDE and never answered my questions. Long story short I will not be doing business with them and I will report them to the better business bureau. Groupon should really beware of this because this is reflection on them. 1. Ok, so I tried out full circle despite some of the bad reviews on here for a few reasons. I wanted to try a CSA but wanted some control over what I get. Full circle does make it very easy to sub what you get. So far so good, but then we got our first order. First off the AMOUNT you get is a total joke. We got the largest 'Harvest' which is supposed to be 45-55 servings. Most of the produce is fairly small (and yes I eat organic stuff normally and don't expect freakish GMO sized stuff but damn!) and I'd say would last 3-4 days in our house with 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Next up was the state of the produce itself. 2 of 3 apples bruised. 1 of 1 tomato bruised. 3 of 3 potatoes mushy and old. 1 of 4 oranges crushed. Rock hard avocados. Mushrooms we ordered missing completely. Kale marginally old. Seemed to be about 50% of the stuff was bad or damaged. Now I will say customer service was just fine. I got someone on the line almost immediately, he was super nice and apologetic. No problems crediting us and didn't try to convince me to not cancel. So that's 2 stars instead of 1, but I can't in good conscience recommend this. Guess I'll continue to go to my local farmer's market instead of getting door delivery. Much better value and quality. Good luck to Full Circle getting their stuff together because the website and customer service is on point, but that does no good without a good product. read more

My husband and I signed up for their Bay Area preview and got an $84 two week credit from them. I was really excited to find a delivery service that offered local, organic produce. We cannot always make it to the farmers market due to our schedule and our Trader Joe's doesn't always have the best produce available (Whole Foods is just too far of a drive). I signed up for the garden box as a test drive and added a few extra items from their green shelf (milk, bread, pizza dough and cheese). The prices were VERY reasonable and some items where equal to less of the cost of buying organic at our local market. The difference here is that their items were all from local farms and seasonal. Our first box contained the following: Broccoli, Organic - 1 bunch Easter Egg Radishes, Organic - 1 bunch Spinach, Organic - 1 bunch Leeks, Organic - 1 pound Bunched Carrots, Organic - 1 bunch Yukon Gold Potatoes, Organic - 1.5 pounds Green Leaf Lettuce, Organic - 1 bunch Green Cabbage, Organic - 1 each Super Rich Peaches, Organic - 2 each Valencia Oranges, Organic - 3 each Zee Fire Nectarines, Organic - 3 each Strawberries, Organic - 1 each We tried everything in the box (except the leeks and radishes which I'm cooking today) everything was delicious. The nectarines, peaches and strawberries are some of the best we have had since longer than I can remember. The carrots were crunchy and full of flavour. The box size was great for the both of us considering I cook at home almost everyday. I made some homemade sauerkraut out of the cabbage since we both aren't fans (my hubby loves sauerkraut though). We should know in a month if it turned out nice. Apparently, you can substitute items in your basket if there's something you don't like. (I found out after the first delivery) I've already added a couple exclusions like onions and kale. I'm looking forward to next week's delivery and it's only Tuesday. It's like christmas morning every Monday. To all of those complaining about the size of the fruit/veggies and that it does not keep long ~~~ This is organic non-genetically modified food. What do you expect? I'd rater have a smaller item that tastes over 9000 times better than pesticide treated, genetically altered food any day of the week. If I know something will go bad soon, we eat it or cook a dish that will allow it to keep. Pretty simple... We will be keeping the service after our trial period. The prices are the same as I would spend at the store on produce every week and the food is much better. We'll just adjust our order size depending on our meal plan for the week which is a great option for us. We are now fans of Full Circle and happy that they're here in San Francisco. read more

I thought I was going to be a weekly lifelong customer who recommend Full Circle to everyone. My mind was changed though after I received my first box of produce. I loved the online system and found it to be very user friendly. I liked that I could list things I don't ever want to receive. It is nice to know I will not be receiving turnips or radishes-yuck! I woke up the morning it arrived and ran to my door and ripped open the box. Inside I found: 1.5 lbs Potates 1 Celery---actually was replaced with tomatoes 3 Cameo Apples 1 Bunch Carrots 1 Cucumber 1 Mango 5 Tangerines .4 lbs of mushrooms 1 Bunch Lettuce 1 Bunch Spinach 4 Kiwi I was disappointed to find that only three items were actually from Washington. The spinach was wilted and the tangerines were moldy by the weekend. The kiwi were delicious though and made me remember how much I love them! I ended up cancelling the service because I felt like the quality and quantity were not what I was paying $35 for. They got back to me the next day about can celling the service, which I liked not having to wait. I was disappointed and will be trying another service. I thought the quality of the produce was alright (dry and wilted). Yesterday, I picked up a box, opened it and found their produce does NOT come from their farm, or local farmers like they claim. Although everything is labeled as "organic", 4 D'Anjou Pears were the only things that did actually come from Washington State out of the standard box I ordered. Most of the produce in the box came from Mexico and California. I am glad my damage was only $17 because I used the Groupon deal, but $34 for regular box is totally not worth the money. read more

I was excited to get a half-off coupon for one Full Circle box, even though they don't deliver to my area code. So I drove over the hill to Los Gatos to pick it up. I chose the largest box (biggest savings, right?) which came to $21 with my coupon. I had been paying $22 with High Ground Organics and expected the Full Circle box to be much bigger (since the usual price is $42). It was actually a little smaller! I was terribly disappointed. I'm a new FCF subscriber this year and currently get an every other week box to a drop off location in Kitsap County. I've been extremely happy with the quality of the produce in the boxes and LOVE how you can make substitutions prior to receiving the box. This prevents my husband and I from ending up with tons of leafy greens that go bad before the two of us can cook them. I also appreciate the variety of other organic fruits and veggies that are in the boxes... I've already recommended FCF to several friends and will be a long time subscriber for sure. read more

The price is high for what you get and although most of it is good, many items are wilted, beat up, etc... Imagine going to the store and just grabbing a handful of veggies without looking for the good ones. I have been a happy, satisfied customer of Full Circle for over two years. I love that I can customize my box when I am inclined (special recipes in mind, etc), and when I do not have time to go online and select each item, I still know that a beautiful box will arrive each week. Their weekly newsletter is beautifully done with many useful recipes that I have successfully tried to the delight of friends and family. Additionally, the product is reliably good, and is as local as possible while still providing options other than potatoes and onions in these winter months. As a vegan, year-round options like kale and chard are a high priority for me. In the summer is when Full Circle as a farm truly shines, and for many months of the year the majority of the box is from Full Circle Farm proper. Personally, I am very grateful that their program lasts throughout the entire year, as I have come to count on them for delicious, nutritious produce every week. Additionally, I love how their Green Grocery selection is coming along. I have never had better honey that the raw, local honey I ordered through Full Circle. As far as quality goes, I find that my expectations are exceeded 95% of the time. The other 5%? Well, I simply write a quick e mail to customer service notifying them of any issue, and they quickly rectify that issue either in my next box, or via a refund. I LOVE FULL CIRCLE!!!! read more

I ordered the Organic Sprout box (good for two people) which contained: 2 Red Bartlett Pears 1 Cucumber 1 Broccoli bunch 1 Texas Honeygold Grapefruit 2 Artichokes 4 Apricots 1 Beefsteak Tomatoes 0.33 Spring Mix lettuce 1 Red Kale 1 lb La Pasta Ricotta Potato Gnocchi (add-on) Package was delivered as promised. I inspected the produce and found the quality be very good, no issues. Made a wonderful salad for dinner. The only comment I really have is about their website and the inability to peruse the items because it thinks you're trying to modify your order? Not sure if others find this to be an issue but it would be nice to be able to look at the items anytime. Oh well. Other than that, looking forward to next week's delivery. read more

After hearing rave reviews from friends who were subscribers, I was so excited when I saw that Living Social was offering a Full Circle deal again. I quickly bought one and scheduled my first pick up (we live in a gated community) for the following week. I went with the garden box (my husband and I eat a lot of produce) and planned out my meals for the week according to what we were getting our box. Upon opening my first box I was pretty impressed. Everything looked really fresh and delicious, except for maybe a few brown spots on the apples. Then I got to my cilantro. I have never seen cilantro look like this poor bunch of cilantro did. It wasn't even green, but more of a gray color...and limper than, well I'll let you use your imagination. We received 2 heads of green leaf lettuce and used the first head that night. The next morning the second head of lettuce was completely dead. I emailed FC and they gave me a credit of $7 to my account, which I graciously accepted, but did think was rather high for 2 heads of lettuce and a bunch of cilantro. Made me realize how overpriced this stuff is - I think I would spend maybe $4 at Fred Meyer for the same (better quality) stuff. Nevertheless, I appreciated the credit and decided I would give them another shot the following week - plus, I had the $7 credit that I didn't want to lose. As the week progressed I had to toss the bunch of carrots and the broccoli. Even in the refrigerator crisper drawer, they softened and wilted. I have never thrown away carrots from going soft in my life. They can literally live in my refrigerator for months and still be crisp. I was really disappointed by this. Still, I decided to give them another chance (that credit was burning a whole in my online account). I switched our box to the smaller sprout size and customized my order. I just opened up this week's box and "Surprise" brown/red broken lettuce! Woohoo! My favorite! I would not purchase ANY of the produce in this box if I were to see it at the grocery store...in no way is this $22 worth of produce. I immediately got online and sent them an email to cancel my subscription. I have to say I am really disappointed with FC and wont' be recommending them. I can buy better quality, less expensive produce at the grocery store (where I am already shopping anyway) that lasts in my fridge for an entire week, or LONGER! I'm sad, I really wanted to love Full Circle. I tried, I really did, but no. Just... no. Here's a story of why unless you like trespassing into someone else's private residence, I can't recommend trying their pick up sites: We ordered to get the delivery from the Bellevue Lake Hills pick up location. I count 6 emails, mostly spam, from FC since the day I signed up. None contained the actual pick up address. We resorted to going with just intersection given as the address on their "search for a site" map. Ok, no stress, we'll just drive there and things should be fine, right? Wrong. Map got us to a residential neighborhood. There were just houses all around us. No signs. No banners. Nothing. We called FC. Unlucky for us, it was sometime after 6pm, so there was no one answering calls. (They close at 6pm even though the pickup time for the site was 3-7pm). Defeated, we went home and I wrote them an email asking for the exact address. Next day, I get an email from FC telling me that they noticed we didn't pick up and that we need to go pick it up between 10-2pm else the food will get donated. No address. Hubby called and the service rep actually said "Oh, yes! I just sent an email to your wife!". Great, would be nicer if you included the address, but fine. We finally got the address from her and off we went again. So actually the address was right at the intersection. The pick up site is *really* someone's private residence. Ok, a little weird, but whatever. Still, no signs, no banners, and there was no one home. Do we just break in? Another call to FC. "Look for a gate to the back yard and go through it. Boxes will be located behind the garage under the covered area." O..K... I guess we have to just trespass? We tiptoed our way to trespass as discretely as we could, but of course, right then we got questioned by a neighbor walking by: "what are you doing there!?" In the end, the food was good, fresh and organic. But it doesn't quite work for us still since we don't have the time to plan ourselves around the deadlines for making substitute requests nor do we have the time to plan our meals around the default selection. In the end we still need to get additional groceries to complete our meals, so all in all, it actually adds up to more trouble than its worth for us. read more

I purchased a twelve week subscription and had twelve weeks of fresh fruit delivered at the bottom of a steep driveway in our milk delivery box. The foods were varied and when I had time I prepared a beet soup that my husband praised highly. "I didn't know I liked beets!" and that is a great feature of this service. For twelve weeks the entire order was fresh, nothing rotten or wilted. My 19 month old son very much enjoyed the colored carrots, the three plums a week, peaches, and cantaloupe. Spinach I put into egg white muffins, roma tomatoes I made a marinara sauce one week. The tomatoes, cabbage, potatoes, and leafy greens I began giving away because my time to dedicate to menu planning is zero hours per day as my little guy is becoming more active. I like the ability to put a dozen farm fresh local eggs as an add on. I also liked the stellar customer service. read more

I took two deliveries and I have to say I wasn't impressed. The produce is an odd mix of well ripened (you need to use it that day or throw it ripe) or under ripe. The lettuce I have had on both deliveries went bad within a day of getting them and the selection was rather bland. It's really pretty overpriced as well. I priced out organics at Whole Pay Check Foods and could have bought the same items and saved nearly $10. Yeah..it was more expensive than Whole Pay Check Foods!!! Skip these guys, get off your butt and just go down to your neighborhood grocery store. read more

Ooh, who would've thought purchasing produce could be *fun*?! But it is!! Every week, we get an email from Full Circle Farm, detailing the produce slated to be in the weekly (or monthly... or one-time-only... you get to choose) box of goodies. They've recently updated their CSA program, so you can now substitute *5* items in your box (previously, only 3 item substitutions were allowed). Here's an example -- our box for this week includes: Red Potatoes Salad Mix (Cut Greens) Yellow Onions Limes Asparagus Garnet Yams Zucchini Haas Avocados Snap Peas Lemons Red Tomatoes Strawberries Lemons There are certain items you can "double up" on (in the example above, I doubled up on lemons -- I knew that if they didn't get eaten, they would come in handy as a food disposal "freshener"), or you can choose from several other items from a drop-down box on their website. They have an excellent variety of substitutions/"double-uppers" that it's not likely you'll be stuck with anything you can't/won't use. In addition to being able to make up to 5 substitutions every week, when you sign up, you can choose from up to 3 "Permanent Exemptions" (which you can change at any time). These are items that, unless you let them know otherwise, will never set foot in your weekly produce list. I exempted Squash (Summer), Eggplant, and Bok Choy. It's pretty much a given that we'll never need those in our house... BUT I love that I can change my mind at any time (woman's prerogative, y'know). Additional Items - ooh whee, they've got lots of those, and the list is updated every week. That way, I can also get fresh eggs, pancake mix, fresh herbs, even coffee, chocolate (!!!), bread, and grains. ...And it all gets delivered to a safe location just 1-2 minutes away from my house! Actually, not just for me -- they have nearly 50 *convenient* pick-up locations for the following regions: Seattle Metro Area (Including Mercer Island) Eastern King County (East of Lake Washington) Juneau Alaska Metro Area Ketchikan Alaska Metro Area Southeast Alaska Outlying Area Anchorage Alaska Regional Area. Between FCF's CSA and getting my all our other grocery needs from Costco (shut up -- it's a necessary evil), it saves me from: a) the headache of taking my kids to the grocery store every day b) getting suckered into buying all the other shit (candy/cookies/Doritos, People/US Weekly/Allure/In Style magazines) I inevitably throw in my cart when "just going to the store for one or two things" HA! That's worth the $37/week ALONE, I kid you not. The Full Circle Farm CSA subscription is VERY flexible, which is what I love the most. I can get my box weekly, I can get one every month, OR I can try it once -- NO strings attached, whatsoever. I love knowing that I'm not signed up (doomed) to the produce-equivalent of a Columbia House CD "club". You can suspend your subscription at anytime, and resume your deliveries whenever you choose. Benefits - yummy food delivered close to you, supporting local farms, recycling (you return your previously used produce box(es) to the pick-up location when you collect your next order), and my favorite part - a box full of goodies delivered (in my case) every week -- it's exciting to open it up... almost like Christmas (yes... I will admit that Full Circle Farm (FCF) does not conform to the "strictest" definition of a CSA. I will also admit that produce from Central America, even produce certified as organic, makes me nervous. But in defense of FCF, I recognize that they strive to provide the very best produce delivery service they can. Their customer service is bar-none and they have always been very helpful over the phone. FCF values me, the customer, so much that they've stepped outside of the traditional boundaries of CSA's and partnered with other farms to provide year-round access to a variety of organic produce. If you don't want produce from other states (or countries), it's easy to manage your delivery contents through the online portal. As far as quality, I have never been disappointed. I try to remember that everything I am receiving is organic, non-GMO, and pesticide-free. Bugs and mold, well...it happens! I really respect the efforts FCF has made to making their delivery service as transparent and customer-oriented as possible, and they get extra points for delivering to Kitsap County (when many other local farms do not). I happily give my $35 to FCF, even if they're delivering produce from California, rather than to the grocery store where sourcing information is not as transparent. read more

I did a lot of research on organic/natural food delivery companies. This place had some great reviews and for good reason. I have seen a lot of bad reviews regarding the product not being great or constantly not getting what you thought you were getting but I have never had that issue. I have had, maybe, two boxes where one of the produce items wasn't something I could keep. I am sure if I would have called in they would have replaced it but I found no need to. I have also had only 2 or 3 occasions where they have had to replace one item with another. Sometimes it is disappointing because I wanted to try something I hadn't or I planned my meals based on that item, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I really enjoy the product that we get. I love that it gets there late at night or early morning so I can put everything away first thing when I wake up. My favorite is how ordering from full circle has really gotten me to try new fruits and vegetables I never would have tried on my own or even knew existed lol. Another thing I really enjoy is that you can read about the places your food came from and at times they even have stories of the farmers or the crop. This summer I really wanted to go to the cherry picking event they had where you camp out overnight and help the farmers pick cherries. What a great idea! The big downside I have is that I order the sprout size which is perfect from my family of 3 and I get so many different types of lettuce each week and I hardly use all of it. I would rather get other vegetables in place of some of them and only get 1 or 2 different types of lettuce or cabbage ect. PS. We started using Full Circle a few months ago. So far, we've been incredibly happy. By we, I mean my partner and I. We get the standard box, and still supplement it with some produce from the grocery store. We are vegans so we're rather into the fruit and veggies. I'm sure that the delivery box would be plenty for another couple who doesn't consume as much fruit and veggies. I love that we get a reminder every Wednesday about our order so I can log in and check it out. I've rarely made any edits, though a few times we really wanted to try a new dish and so we altered the order slightly. I also love that it's all organic. Delivery is always on time (Sunday night between 10 pm and 4 am Monday -- always before their promised delivery time of 6 am on Monday). The ONLY negative: sometimes, the food isn't ripe enough. We just got some roma tomatoes that were pretty orange still. They weren't bad to eat; just not fully ripe. But Full Circle Farm has superb customer service and they WANT feedback so they can improve their product. So if you give it to them, they're always accommodating. Others are a bit concerned that not all of the fruit and veggies come from WA state. That's definitely something to be aware of. If you want to be entirely local, you won't with FCF. However, all of their produce is organic, and that's really what we are interested in. And they hold high standards for any of the produce they ship in from other parts of the county. I love the concept and idea of Full Circle. Fresh fruits and vegetables delivered to your door! Can it get any better? It's like an edible Christmas weekly! I was a subscriber (and eater) for a long time. I canceled my subscription not because of anything negative; just simply that I can't eat the same of each vegetable for an entire week. I do not eat a lot for each meal, just frequently during the day (I must have been a Hunter-Gatherer in my last life). I used to subscribe to the seed box. Even though it's the smallest box, the quantity of each piece of produce was too much. I couldn't find myself eating the same vegetables all week and sometimes it would become rotten in my fridge. I often made the same kinds of meals ie: soup, a creative lasagna, salads, or stir fry- even then it would last me forever. It limited the types of food variety I would cook by receiving a huge quantity of each ingredients per week (if that makes sense). This box made my freezer pretty popular when it came to backfilling meals. It was fun when one of my friends used to live three blocks away and we'd order our own boxes, and share ingredients by having a Full Circle cooking night. We'd plan a three course meal the night before and run home excitedly after work the next day to eager vegetables. That became our weekly "thing". Sadly, she moved to New York and isn't a subscriber any longer. I'm a huge fan of the show "Chopped" on the Food Network. This box of gems sparked a lot of creativity! It's great for vegetarians, or those who want to get into cooking to learn about different foods, flavors, and edible textures. I never received anything rotten. Wilted, yes, but it didn't depreciate the quality of my produce by much; I would just use those veggies first. Ultimately it makes me question the way their produce is transported and whether or not these yummies made it into a facility with a refrigerator at some point. Their customer service is superb; always attentive and quick to respond to an inquiry. If part of my order was incorrect, the following week would have something extra to compensate as an apology; which I appreciated very much! I often give gift certificates for these boxes as birthday gifts. Everyone appreciates and enjoys them; especially friends who love farm to table. Anyways, that's my .02. If Full Circle had more of a variety with less quantity I could see myself reactivating my subscription. For now, it's just too much to chew. read more

Let's start with the good news. It's pretty cool to get a box of fresh fruits and veggies delivered right to your door. It even got the kids excited about trying new foods. ...and now the downside. The quality of the produce isn't always great and you definitely pay more for it. Bottom line, if you can't get to a decent grocery store, Full Circle might be worth the extra cash. However, if you have a little time to shop for your own produce, pass on it. read more

I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm just too picky about my produce for the delivery service they provide. In the grocery store, I'm the weirdo who has to fondle and sniff her fruit and vegetables before deciding that they're up to snuff. Whoever has been selecting my produce at Full Circle Farm has failed to do either of those things. Or even perform the most rudimentary checks for bruising. Also, the produce suffers from sitting around in a box for what I'm guessing is between 12-24 hours, since they deliver at night. A lot of times the greens are limp; sometimes they can be resuscitated, sometimes not. The good thing about Full Circle Farm is that if you complain about any of your produce, they replace it in the next box. Their customer service department seems quite responsive. Usually I don't get around to it, though. I don't want to have to make complaining about produce a scheduled part of my life. I'm also disappointed that so little of their produce is local--or even comes from the Pacific Northwest. I guess in the winter it's inevitable. The flip side of this is that people get a much larger variety of fruits and vegetables in their boxes, so some may think this is a good thing. I can see how their produce delivery would be right for some. But it's not right for me. read more

We've been trying full circle for about a month now will be cancelling our service. We get our box first thing Friday mornings and by Sunday all of the produce is brown, wilted and totally uneatable. Like others have said, if I saw this produce in a store or market I would never pick it out. The food arrives to us on its last legs and as others have pointed out this is NOT local food. Most of it is from CA or further away. I really like the idea of full circle, I've just been very disappointed in the qualify of the food we've received. read more
