Love this place. It hasn't changed over the years. The food is consistently good, the service is friendly. If you want some good local food, this is a great place to go. The chicken, chow fun, crisp gau gee, potato hash,... try em!

Traditional okazuya in mo'ili'ili delivers Japanese and local food made fresh daily. There are so many choices to choose from to make a custom plate lunch or bento. Great for parties, picnics, or lunch for yourself! Service is quick, friendly, and patient. Make sure you look at everything before deciding what you want. Prices are Ala carte, and you've got to ask if you're on a budget. Everything adds up quickly so be super selective!

Parking is not plentiful. Spaces are limited and difficult to find. Luckily people come and go frequently, but it's a bit difficult to maneuver the parking area. Man the mochiko chicken was so delicious. The flavor was absolutely amazing and it wasn't dry. The noodles were alright. There was a good mix of ingredients. The furikake musubi was quite good. The musubi was coated generously with furikake and the rice was a good texture. Tap to pay is not accepted. Overall Fukuya has a good selection of entrees. Service is quick and food is good.

The most expensive futomaki I've ever bought. $8.50. Didn't know how much it was as there was no sign until I saw the receipt.

Fukuya is good, but unfortunately I will probably start frequenting other okazuyas. Be honest with you, it's just too expensive now. $8.50 for futo maki sushi The plate itself was $26. Every time we come, it seems like we're double charged for a single item. This time it was the ahi burger. We were charged for 2. The nature of okazuyas is that we make a plate, they total it up, and then we pay. But when the cashiers consistently miscalculate the plates, it adds up over time. I will still come to Fukuya if I can't get to the other okazuyas in a timely manner, but I'm hesitant to return.

We live just around the corner from Fukuya, so popping in is super easy and convenient. For our recent picnic at Ala Moana Beach Park, we ordered 30 bentos and an assorted sushi platter to-go--and everything went off without a hitch. Picnic Pickup Experience - Scheduled pickup for 8:00 AM - Arrived a few minutes early and found our entire order waiting - Parking lot right out front with about six stalls - Staff brought all 30 bentos and the sushi platter to our car and helped load it in Bento & Pricing Details - Bentos ranged from $15.00 to $16.60 each - Assorted sushi platter paired perfectly for sharing - Option to choose ala carte items in-store if you want to build your own bento Quality & Service - Ingredients felt fresh and well-prepared - Rice cooked just right; proteins tasted clean and flavorful - Friendly, helpful staff made the whole process effortless Final Thoughts Fukuya Delicatessen nailed our early-morning pickup--quick, organized, and hassle-free. The bentos and sushi platter were solid quality, and the convenience can't be beat when you live nearby. I'd happily return for bentos (or a custom creation) next time we need picnic catering.

Hands down, the BEST "okazuya" where you can get the best home made food, aka "plate lunch" with SUCH VARIETY, mostly different, yet the same... daily. This is my second trip here from California and the last time I started chatting with a customer who lived in my neighborhood who was also visiting Hawaii at that time. Hahaha! I'm not sure what time these Aunties start preparing, since they open at like 5:30 a.m., but hope they know we truly appreciate it!! Everything I've had so far has been delicious and I know they run out of food sometimes before they close.... The parking lot only has like 3-4 spots, so you need to somehow time your visit appropriately, but people are also in and out in a few minutes, so it's never been annoying at all... especially since you know your trip is totally worth it! When my son, who lives here, says we can get Fukuya today... I get totally excited. There's nothing like it!

Parking can be difficult sometimes in the heart of Moiliili and most times there is a line. I love their fried noodles, nori fried chicken, veggie/potato tempura - so yummy and crispy and enjoy their shiso musubi! A little pricey but food is tasty! Go early for best selection.

Nori chicken, shoyu hot dog, maki sushi, noodles, shrimp tempura & the BEST AHI BURGER PATTIES. It was my first time & it was delicious

I've tried many okazuya's, but this place is my top pick in Oahu. The best service from the lovely staff, hot food & fair pricing. 10/10 recommend!

It's been awhile since I've been to Fukuya and will remain a fave spot. We lucked out with no line and an empty parking lot that we were afraid they were closed since it was a holiday but they were open! Sure enough right after we parked the parking lot was full and a line out the door. Other people may have thought they were closed too because you can't really see the Open/Closed sign from the street. Everything was delicious as usual with so many choices you can't get them all but can definitely come back. Everyone's really nice and they work quick. It's the rest of us who take long trying to pick what to eat. I loved everything I chose except for the garlic chicken was tough and hard to eat. But don't let that keep you away from this local favorite. My staple choices are nori chicken, nishime and vegetable tempura. Some current prices per piece/serving: Large Inari Cone Sushi $2.40 Furikake Musubi $2.35 Chow Funn $3.75 Nori Chicken $4.25 Garlic Chicken $3.75 Kobu Maki $3.95 Nishime $3.30 Vegetable/Potato Tempura $1.95 Potato/Fried Hash $1.95 Hot Dog $1.80 Shrimp Tempura $2.15 Gobo $3.20 Banana Lumpia $2.25 Large Fountain Drink $3.40

Still my favorite Okazuya!! Always a great start to your day. So you won't be disappointed, fyi, they will be closed 3/16 to 3/26 for their annual maintenance/vacation. Reopen on Friday 3/27/2026

Solid Okazuya. They have a little bit of everything but I enjoyed the egg plant dish a lot. Highly recommend getting one of the onigiris, egg plant, fried chicken, cucumber salad and some spicy ahi. Just choose any of the fried chicken, all of them are bangers.

    Russ L.

Stopped by one early weekend and lucky enough to try the Ahi Poke. I wish they would sell it every day instead of weekends only. Perfectly paired when you paired with their Nori Chicken and Ume Shiso Onigiri and follow it up with a scoop of their Mac Salad. Delicious! Fast service, go early the sell out at times.

New years eve. 12/31/2024. Preorder maki sushi, inari sushi, komochi. Pickup 615am. 2 lines outside. Regular line faster. Seems more efficient to go to the Regular line. But, was stuck in Preorder line, took 30-45 minutes to get to counter. Not very efficient. Maybe better not to Preorder if going early anyway. Order form, could add to Preorder. Everything was already in containers small or large. For grab and go. Great idea. But since I Preordered, I couldn't change to the Regular line. Check your order before leaving, as I saw some that returned because they got the wrong stuff in their bags. Can request for utensils, chopsticks. Note: I normally park in post office lot, since I need to check my PO box. Fukuya Parking has only few spaces, kinda tight stalls.

We had a 7pm reservation that I booked through Yelp. We arrived a few minutes before our time, and was quickly seated in a "cozy" little table for 2. This place is crackin' though. It's loud and energetic. Mostly because it's a small little place down a side street on Beach Walk. The staff is super friendly, and the food is even better. I had the pork and shrimp katsu set, and my husband had fancy pork katsu set. We also had edamame to start. Everything came out sizzling hot and to perfection. I should also mention, this place is clean. The staff was constantly cleaning tables and menus. I'm giving Ginza only 4 stars because no one ever came to refill our drinks. I know it's such a small thing, but I accidentally ate some of the spicy mustard that was buried on my plate under the salad. My mouth was ON FIRE! I drank all my Diet Coke and my husband had already finished his drink too. So ya, I was dying...lol! Overall though, I would 100% eat at Ginza again

Very random one morning after stopping by kona purveyors in Waikiki, I went to the restroom and while my husband was waiting for me he decided to randomly check if they had any reservations available and we were able to get one for the next day! Getting a reservation is definitely the way to go, I've seen people wait in standby however seating is not guaranteed since they prioritize those who have a reservation. The service was amazing! They are constantly checking up on you to see if you need anything else. I like how they offer different kinds of miso soup. I personally had limitations due to my shellfish allergy, but it was amazing! The katsu we ordered was one of the biggest one that they offer. Since we didn't get reservations we had to do walk in. The waitlist didn't seem bad when we first signed up but it took forever to finally get a table. It was a hot day so we were waiting outside, for nearly an hour. There were only like two or three parties ahead of us on the waitlist. We finally got seated and the people right after us on the list got seated at the same time (they put their name 15 min after us). I would not recommend the waitlist, since it's not consistent. The food itself is always delicious. The new space was nice (and larger). Our server was very nice also. We both got tonkatsu. I got the mizore and my partner got the sizzling one. I appreciate the choices of rice and miso soup. I really enjoyed my Shiso rice and the white miso soup. I think even though I enjoyed the ground daikon but I also think I would've been happy with just a regular tonkatsu, similar for the sizzling platter.
