Not bad, but not amazing. I got the Pan Seared Scallop as an appetizer and the noodles were really soggy for some reason and the scallops were alright. The broth for the Beef Ramen was good but other than that, the noodles were alright. Maybe it would've been better if I tried a different ramen instead of the beef one. For sushi, I tried the James Bond Roll which was so NOT worth the price of $20. The roll contains spicy crab inside and salmon on top which is why I assume it's more expensive than the other rolls, but it just didn't taste that great. I also ordered the Crunch Shrimp which was about $12 and I thought it was better than the James Bond Roll. I mean it's your typical crunchy roll so you can't go wrong with that! Overall, decent meal but wasn't fantastic like how everyone on Yelp hyped it up to be. Great customer service though! read more

Great Japanese spot. My wife and I ordered for delivery. We are vegetarian and there were a few options here to choose from. The miso soup and seaweeed salad made for great apps to start off. I really appreciated that there were several unique vegetarian sushi options to choose from. Real vegetables and no imitation meat. The sweet potato roll was my favorite but I also appreciated the asparagus and mushroom that was in the others. The kale noodles were delicious. Light but filling. The sauce that came with added a sweet savory delight. It's tough to judge a Japanese restaurant being plant based, but we got our fill and were overall quite satisfied by our variety of foods. read more

I ordered this for pickup through UberEats and found the food to be disappointing. For the price, the rolls are extremely small and skimpy. There is barely any fish in/on the roll. The fact that they can fit two whole rolls into a tiny container and make it look like one speaks volumes. The rolls tasted alright, but nothing to write home about. I don't think I would come here again since there are so many sushi restaurants around. Maybe their dine-in experience provides a stark contrast to my take-out experience? Fukulala is a fairly small, yet cozy spot for sushi. The waiter was very kind, but my friends and I could not help but notice the extremely long wait for our edamame appetizer and food. After one entire hour in a mostly empty restaurant, we watched them prepare plenty of takeout orders, yet we were still waiting on edamame... And even after slowly picking on the edamame, the rolls took a while longer to come out... However the wait was (kind of) worth it. The seasoning on the garlic chili pepper edamame is on point. The Haru roll has a really nice kick of spice--I highly recommend. I'm So Hot roll is pretty good, though the spice is very mild. The Sexy City roll is riceless and almost entirely avocado--I enjoyed it, but it fell apart very easily. The James Bond roll is very hearty and has a lot of different flavors going on. The Spider roll was great as well. Overall, this place hits the spot if you're craving sushi. Though next time, I'll probably just order take-out. read more

I decided to take a chance here with so few reviews posted, but it wasn't too far away and wanted something new. I'm always up for sushi, so my daughter and I headed here to check it out. Apparently this restaurant opened just three weeks ago. It had a nice ambiance with a very small sushi bar. We grabbed a booth and were greeted by the waitress. They have wine, sake, and beer, and they have a limited but some good wine choices nonetheless. I liked their menu. They had some interesting items on there, and I was torn on what to order. I knew my daughter wanted her staples, miso soup and a side of white rice. She also got a side of avocado, which was super fresh looking. I started with the ginger salad. The miso soup was decent, and my daughter said she liked it, but she wasn't eating that much of it. So I asked her why, and she said the rice wasn't good. I tried it, and she was right. It was somewhat hard and pasty. I hoped that wasn't the rice for the sushi rolls. The ginger salad was a miss, too. I just don't have a taste for iceberg lettuce, void of nutritional content and rather tasteless. The dressing was like something you'd get at a chain restaurant from a jar. Not good. I decided to try a mango tango, which was mango, tuna, avocado wrapped in rice paper. It was sitting in a mango sauce. It was a very paltry portion, way overpriced for the tiny amount given. The flavors were meh, and weirdly I couldn't even taste the mango. It definitely didn't pop. The sauce was the worst of it. With mango, I'm expecting a sweet burst of flavor, but it was vinegary tasting. I don't know what they added, or it was just old, but it was not edible for me. Despite this, I thought maybe I could salvage my meal with a good roll. I decided on the tuna fantasy which had albacore tuna, apple, avocado, and jalapeño and puffed rice. Sounded so interesting. The tuna did not taste fresh. I ate it, because I was hungry, but I was really disappointed in the roll. The fish not being fresh kind of ruined it for me. This quiet and small restaurant is tucked away in busy intersection. Even though the restaurant was busy with to go orders, my service was good. My order was taken quickly and food given promptly. I ordered the following: Pork Belly Bun: Had good flavor but the boa bun could have been softer. Spicy ramen Tonkatsu Great flavor and meat was perfectly done. The red paste was good! Small sushi place we just happened to stop at one night. The sushi was really good, I had the Fukulala roll and it was great. I can't remember the other roll I had (pretty sure it was Sexy on the Beach but don't quote me on that), it was good too, but the Fukulala was by far my favorite. Looked really pretty too. My husband had their salmon and it was a bit dry and not seasoned as well as at other sushi places he's had salmon at before. Not bad by any means, but definitely wasn't as good as the sushi. Had dinner there with family three times in the past months , personally I think it's one of the best sushi restaurants in town! The sushi and rice ratio was just right and the rice was cook perfectly not too moist and not too dry. Ramen booth was delicious, rich and fragrance not over powered by seasoning. I enjoyed it so much I recommend to a friend of mine and they loved it also. What a hidden little gem in Suwanee! I enjoyed the unique menu and fresh ingredients. I ordered the lobster samba roll and it was delicious. The sushi bar looked like it was put in as an afterthought (no display case), but I sat there anyway because it was just me and the chefs were both friendly and welcoming. This sushi restaurant is within walking distance of my home. We really wanted to love it, and have tried several times over the years. I won't comment on the service, because I think those problems are universal right now because of the staffing crisis. The sushi here is good, not exceptional, and their prices are high. The rolls are very fancy, but the temperature hasn't been what I expected and a little off-putting. I don't think we will be back, with so many other good options nearby. I've never had a roll that was actually spicy, until the I'm so Hot roll. Amazing. Incredibly fresh and delightfully spicy! The James Bond Roll was equally delicious. The king crab meat was superb. We also had the peach tree roll and the spicy tuna roll. Both better than any similar roll we have had in the area. The duck roll and bang bang appetizers were also great! The bang bang shrimp is the freshest and most crispy shrimp I've ever had. We are now regulars! Gary is a fantastic waiter. The atmosphere is very homey and not crowded at all, which we love. It's located behind Starbucks on Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Suwanee. OMG, everything tasted super fresh & succulent!!!! It was a full of flavor party in my mouth!!! LOL I liked the Tuna & Garlic Sashimi, Winter Truffle Salmon, Hamachi & Basil, Madai Carpaccio, Haru & James Bond Rolls... pretty much almost everything we ordered except for the cucumber crab wrap, which was my least favorite. LOL I think it's bc of the cream cheese. The salmon cucumber tasted pretty refreshing tho. I was surprised that it was more of a casual environment for such high quality foods!!! Def tasted better than some of the overpriced high-end sushi restaurants I've been to for sure!!! Was pleasantly surprised w/ the bill as well. Great little spot for sushi or Japanese for lunch if you're in Suwanee. The restaurant is really clean and has nice decor. The restaurant was playing some chill lo-fi beats music. It was awesome and added to the ambience. I hope they keep playing that music in the future. All items on the lunch menu include salad and miso soup so you can really fill up on two basic sushi rolls that include 6 pieces each roll (I ordered 3 rolls and felt super full afterwards). We stopped by yesterday for a date night dinner. I've been seeing ads about this place on Instagram so I've been wanting to check it out. I'm glad we did! Service was great - sake and appetizers came out pretty quickly. The sushi we ordered take a bit longer, but we could see the chefs making them fresh so we didn't mind. Here's what we ordered: - edamame - miso soup (tasted like it was made from scratch and it wasn't from a packet which I appreciated) - fukulala roll - shrimp tempura roll - nigiris: madai, tuna, Hawaiian big eye tuna, yellow tail, and sweet shrimp. I'm a huge fan of Tomo in Buckhead, and dare I say, in my opinion they compare well with Tomo. Only "complaint" I had was that we ordered yellowtail belly and bronzino but they were out of both of them. So instead we got yellowtail and the Hawaiian tuna, and they comped our yellow tail nigiri, which I appreciated. Food was so good, I have to say it was quote on quote complaint. The food here is consistently delicious. The sushi is some of the freshest I have ever had and the variety of rolls is great! The service was excellent. It is definitely a "hole in the wall" spot but the ambiance is inviting and clean. My favorite roll is the "American Dream" and it is absolutely delicious! After many years of driving by since they opened. I finally decided to try it due to the many other positive reviews. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The service was slow and it took a long time to order since there was only one waiter foe the 5-6 booths/tables. That was fine though as I understand that many places are short-staffed. I ordered the NY Steak teriyaki entree and was disappointed in the quality of the meat. It was also undercooked and only came with a few bites of broccoli that was barely cooked. For the high price, I would have much rather gone to a hibachi place instead. read more
