My family loved going here. We would crack jokes, eat their great food, and have a great time!! Tonight will be our last night going to this establishment. The service is very poor. Except the amazing server behind the food counter hustling and rushing to make everyone's plates. He was awesome and I gave him a tip!! He deserved it and more! Your other staff, cleaning the plates off our table were not. Busy on their cellphones. They seemed jealous that I tipped someone else and asked me what they will get as a tip. This place opened up a week or so ago near our place, and I checked it out because there isn't a _good_ sushi buffet in the Parma area. I'm pleased to say that I was impressed by the quality and presentation at Fuji! They have a wide range of dishes, including sushi, Chinese, and some Western fare. I was particularly a fan of the octopus salad, which was fresh and spicy. The flavor reminded me of kimchi. The sushi was tasty, and the chefs were always quick to replenish it when the plates were emptied. I also tried one of the "house bbq beef ribs," which was very large and had a nice taste and texture (so many beef ribs out there are inedibly tough, but this was not one of those). They even have ice cream (8 flavors) and a selection of toppings, along with a dessert bar featuring a wide range of fresh fruit, 2 kinds of pie, and a selection of small cakes. None of it failed to satisfy. All of this for $10.99 up front! I will definitely return to try out more of their dishes, like the custom noodle bowl/hibachi station. read more

I have to agree with a lot of the reviews here about the customer service...it's horrible! When you are greeting your guests and walking them to your table, get off your damn phone. I've never encountered such rude service in my life and it doesn't stop there. The food was actually ok, however when you are asked what kind of sauce you want for your hibachi meal and you tell them Teriyaki, it is very rude to mock them as they are walking away when that person can clearly hear you. It seems that everyone who works here hates it. We all have to work, it sucks, but when you are in customer service, your main goal in the business is to please the customer so that they come back. Guess what? I'm never coming back....the only reason I didn't give them a one star is because the food is actually pretty decent. read more

This is a really good buffet. Plain and simple. Sushi, Hibachi, & broth/soba/pho bowls are made fresh in front of you. Everything is filled quickly and kept clean. IF YOU ARE QUEER OR TRANS, DO NOT GO HERE. Look, I'll be honest; the food is decent. It's not blow-you-away, but it's filling and decently seasoned. The seating is adequately clean. There are some screens, though they are widely spaced. However, the wait staff and owners are not on your side if you are queer or transgender. The night before my husband and I got married, my mother-in-law wanted to treat us to dinner somewhere close to our home. We picked here since it wasn't too pricey and we wouldn't have to worry about if she and her sister could find something to eat. Now, let me preface here by saying that both my husband and I are gay, transgender people. Neither of us is fully passing, but until this point, neither the staff nor other patrons had ever bothered us about it, so we figured it was a fairly safe space. Cut back to July 2nd. We were seated near a couple who, on multiple occasions, pointed at us while 'whispering' loudly about the pair of dykes, and how they couldn't tell what gender 'it' was (for those wondering, I have a beard. It's a genetic condition, but I decided to stop shaving it and just live my best lumberjack life; if not for my upper torso, I might entirely pass as male). We tried to ignore them, however, when they referred to me as 'it,' my husband could no longer pretend this was acceptable. He asked the woman what her problem was. Now, previously, I had mentioned that there were TV screens. I also mentioned that they were widely spaced. This comes into play as, from where we were sitting, the only TV screen readily visible (they all had the same thing on if I recall correctly) was not in our direction. The woman leapt up, shrieking that she had been watching the TV, and that man-dykes and trannies shouldn't be allowed in public. After a minute or more of her shrieking, one of the staff told her to leave. She left. Here's where my negative review comes in. My mother-in-law was in tears. My husband was sobbing. Not one person from the wait staff came to see if we were okay, or if we wanted to be seated somewhere else, or if we wanted them to call the police. No-one from the staff helped us. They made it perfectly clear that they wouldn't have cared about our harassment if the woman harassing us hadn't been shouting profanities. We will not be going back here, nor will any of either of our families or friends. We will do everything we can to let other queer and trans people in the area know that this is not a safe place to go, and that they and their allies should not eat here. read more

For the cost, I assure you that it's worth it. We went on a busy Sunday and the food options were plenty and the staff were quick to restock. We were seated really quickly. Our large group was well accommodated in the side room. They even let us bring a birthday cake for our guest of honor. I came here today with a friend after visiting Kumo across the street the week before. Kumo is better. You pay when you come in like the old Hometown that used to be there. I like that. I bought, and received, a ginger ale. When I needed a refill the server told me they don't have ginger ale, so she gave me water. So what the hell did I drink? None of the sushi was labeled. Like not at all. I think that's a terrible idea. I liked this fried Cajun fish they had and when we were there every thing was getting changed, coming out fresh. This time all the fish wasn't cooked all the way through. Not good. All in all the selection is better at Kumo and idk if it's bigger but it seems more accessible. Buffet lunch here on business in Cleveland. $8.95 lunch buffet. Huge selection of sushi but on par w a buffet type taste. Lots of rice, mayo and sweet sauce. I loved the food here and thought it had well above average selection for a chinese buffet. It was very reasonably priced at 12$ a person including soda. I particularly liked the steak options and the chicken on a stick. The only thing preventing a 5 star rating is the feeling I got in my stomach before I even left the restaurant. When we first moved to the area, my husband and I began looking around at all the dining options near us. We were excited to find what we thought would be a great buffet, based off of reviews. To be honest, this was one of the worst dining experiences either of us have had to date. To start, the service was extremely rude and barely present. We are huge fans of Asian cuisine, and we also like many American-Asian style dishes, and have had quite the variety across the US and internationally (including China, in my husband's case). Now, we weren't expecting fine dining from a buffet; they're usually like a Denny's-reliable and decent when you really want it. The food at Fuji though fell far short. First, the bits I grabbed from various noodle and vegetable dishes tasted like they were cooked in dirty water. There was some sort of a grit to all of them. The flavor was not good, either. My husband went to the pho spot at the back and was not impressed with what he saw. Besides the pho itself, the young man attending the station was more concerned with his phone and was rude to my husband. FYI-While they say they can make you a vegetarian pho, it really isn't. They were cooking meat and seafood all in the same water as the vegetarian bowls. He's not a vegetarian, but if you are, BEWARE. Also beware if you are allergic to seafood or can't eat pork! My husband with the iron stomach will eat anything; but he wouldn't eat the pho. He said it tasted like mop water. It smelled pretty awful too, to be honest. This was the very first time I've ever left a restaurant and not only did not leave a tip, but also left with lots of food on my plate. It was truly a horrible dining experience. As all you can eat Asian buffets go this one is actually pretty legit. Like most buffet restaurants it has a salad bar, hot food area, and a soup station. The hot food section is separated into traditional American foods like fried chicken and macaroni and cheese and Chinese American staples like sweet-and-sour chicken and lo mein. They have a sushi and cold seafood station which is well-stocked with freshly cooked seafood like peel and eat shrimp as well as mussels. They have at least 8 to 10 different kinds of sushi available. They also have a noodle soup and a hibachi station where you can have a stir fry made to to order. On the weekends they have steam and racks of various dumplings and dim sum also. There is a lot of variety of salads, appetizers, sushi, soup, noodles, entrées, and ice cream and fruit to finish off your meal. You are definitely going to leave this buffet with a happy tummy. The food quality is good and the restaurant is clean and tidy. I went with friends for a late lunch around 2 o'clock on a Sunday and the restaurant was still very busy. There's a large variety of food here. We were invited here by friends. Fuji Grill Buffet is inside of a shopping plaza. It is an outdated plaza but the inside of the restaurant is nice. The restrooms are clean and the buffet is clean and refilled with fresh food throughout the service. However... I found a small insect in my broccoli. The manager said that all of their produce is organic and locally sourced. Thus the insect came with the broccoli. He offered us a refund although I didn't demand or request it. The manager said that the insect is "natural" and a result of no pesticides being used on their produce. Thanks but I still don't want to see insects in my cooked broccoli. Worst experience ever! My family & I came and ate. It was this past Sunday. The food was good, typical Chinese food. It was 5 of us. Only 2 of our drinks got refilled the whole time we were there mean while the other 3 cups stayed empty the rest of the time. I didn't make a big deal out of it, I only refused to tip. It's a BUFFET. We get up and serve ourselves. On our way out the door, one of the ladies start following us ordering me to give a tip. I said " are tips required " she said no but if no tip for me to wipe down my own table. Mind you my children are older they don't leave messes. We literally only had a few dishes and nothing was spilled. I looked at her crazy and left. Other customers even asked her what her problem was as if it's required to tip & they even said they weren't tipping as well. I then called them maybe 20 mins later & asked them " are tips required " he said no. & then acted like he didn't know what worker I was referring too. Not only that, but last year we use to go. It was maybe $60 for all of us. The price for all 5 of us was $106.00 at a buffet. They will gossip about you in Chinese. I'd like to start the review with I'm not a fan of buffets, so this wouldn't normally be my choice cuisine. A family member reserved a portion of the private room for a birthday celebration. All-in-all, there is a large variety of offerings and the restaurant is clean and organized. There is sushi, hibachi, asian, american, soup, salad and dessert. The buffet stations were continuously re-plenished. The items that I tried were mostly asian, and were on par with dining at a buffet. There was nothing outstanding, not a whole lot of flavor. Very bad experience when I came here with my family of 5. We paid almost $63 only to leave that place still hungry and unhappy. The food was cold, chicken was so hard that we couldn't chew it and when I bought it to the attention of management, he listened and walked away. So I figured he was coming back to give me some sort of resolution, WRONG!!! I had to ask for him again and physically ask him what was he going to do to fix this terrible experience and his response was beyond poor!!! I'm a general manager for Hilton Hotels so I'm quite experienced when it comes to dealing with problems or issues that's guests bring to my attention. This guy doesn't seem to care about pleasing guests when issues are bought to his attention so therefore I definitely will not recommend this place to guests of my hotel and other hotels that I have relationships with in the area. 30 minutes of disgrace! Fuji is changing the sushi buffet game. It was a very bold move to open a restaurant that rivals the sushi buffet juggernaut Kumo which is directly across the street. I saw pictures posted on this here website and decided that I needed to try it. The nigiri really drew me in. The interior is modern. Guests pay before eating. I always find it weird to tip before eating. I don't skimp so I don't trip on that. They can see upfront that I am a stand up dude regardless of service level. I don't think I am better than anyone, let alone the dead fish I prepared myself to eat. They have made-to-order hibachi as well. I cannot speak on that but my friend said the quality was good. They offer food to go by the pound. $3.99 for regular land animal type food, $4.99 for seafood. My friend Tuni with whom I have the pleasure of lunching with around town texted me with an update today. His to-go hibachi order was $3.69 for a full Styrofoam container. He said they also have a pho bar which I am highly skeptical about. A pho bar could be FUBAR. read more

If I could score this place 0 I would. The customer service here is terrible. The waiters talk about the customers (the young asian boy with black glasses and the female with the odd shaped long face). The food was mediocre. I was visiting from out of state and my host thought this would be a nice treat. I only wish the service didnt put such a damper on an otherwise good outing. Apparently they have food designated for lunch and dinner and they insisted I pay $3 extra for my meal because I ate the meat. No problem except for the way they went about it. Repeatedly coming up to me as I'm eating. Then when I went to leave they ran after me, yelling to tell me I needed to pay even more for my togo dish. However when I was given the togo box they never mentioned an additional fee. Again, I'm not from here so this was very unusual. I told them to keep it and left. West side Asian buffet eaters, Kumo is now in second place. Fuji has one upped you and to pour salt on the wound is directly across from you. Typical Asian favorites: chicken beef and fish in Asian sauces, but what knocked my boots was their hibachi and pho section. I was real impressed with their pho broth. This is hands down the best value for an Asian buffet. Lots of items to choose from and everything so far has been pretty good. There's a good selection of Chinese staples such as fried rice, noodles, beef, fish and chicken, as well as a few dim sum to choose from. There's even American favorites such as ham, ribs, mac & cheese and mash. Good selection of sushi items and their fish quality isn't too bad for a buffet. Their selection of seafood includes mussels, shrimp, crayfish, and clams but doesn't include snow crab legs, however, for this price I don't expect that. There's also a hibachi grill and soup noodle station for udon and pho (which has gotten better)! The biggest kicker for me is their crawfish! It's fresh and delicious every time! I can't think of a better place that offers AYCE crayfish. I've had this about a dozen times and it doesn't get old. The staff is quite attentive with clearing out plates and refilling drinks. Buffets are good because they have a good selection of food for a good price. Fuji Grill Buffet is a giant restaurant with a very large buffet area. It's one of the largest I've seen in a good while. You pay right up front which saves the hassle of waiting for a check when you're finished eating. I don't usually rate buffets on how the service is because the staff is always running around because there are so many people. I will say that the staff was pretty attentive for how large this restaurant is. The restaurant is clean and so is the silverware and plates. Even though they have a lot of traffic, you can tell they don't skip on cleanliness. The sushi was wonderful, there were so many choices, far more than Kumo right across the street. The hot dishes were pretty much like any Chinese buffet fare. (I can't go to one of these places without getting a teriyaki chicken stick). They had noodles and hibachi that I didn't get to try, but I do plan on trying in the future. They had a good dessert selection as well. Lot's of ice cream to choose from. By far one of my favorite buffets. My family agrees, when we can't think of a place to eat at we decide on Fuji. The staff is very nice and courteous. They make sure your table stays clean and your drink is filled. They are constantly washing the plates and silverware so you may just grab a nice hot clean plate to put your food on. The noodle station is a little something to be desired but it's worth a try. I was waiting for a little bit before the chef came out and dropped my noodles and crab into the broth to cook. read more
