Fast and cheap This was a spur of the moment stop while I was shopping in the complex. There is just a window to order no indoor seating. They had your typical menu. I ordered the pork lo mein lunch special. It came with fried rice and pop. For $7 it was a great price. Food was ready in minutes. It was average for taste. read more

Ordered Szechuan beef which is supposed to be a spicy dish, blah no spice and not much taste. Beef was tuff, think the bottom of my shoe would have been more tender, even the fortune cookie was stale. Egg roll was the only thing that was good. read more

I love this place, my go to order place every single time. When I think of Chinese food as a kid this is the place that delivers the taste.

JUST HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!! Been a long time customer and have always enjoyed the food. Called at 6:20 pm. Went in and there was 10 people in line some have been there for 45mins. The cook would not talk to anyone when he did it was to get your phone number then he would walk away and start cooking your order. 15- 20 mins latter he have the food ready then ask for the next one. Then do the same thing I had to just leave. Called to cancel order and they totally lied to me saying it was ready. Went back not sure why and it was twice as packed in there I will never go back. THERE ARE TOO MANY CHINESE RESTAURANTS TO PICK FROM. !!!!!!! read more

Golden Bowl - What you get at golden bowl - Chinese Near Me - Elyria, Ohio

Had to give 1 star but really ZERO STARS Absolutely awful. Waited over 45 minutes for my PICK UP food. No one spoke english to help us. My bf went in to pick it up and he still sat in there for over 15 minutes and said they screwed up my order. I got 4 things. Other people in there said they've been waiting over half an hour SINCE they got there for their food. My expectations for the taste are insanely low if it takes over 45 minutes for soup and dumplings. Will NEVER be coming back. read more

The food and service are both great. I've never been disappointed. I ordered the egg foo yong combo, and sweet-and-sour chicken combo. That's dinner tonight. read more

We just got takeout - so I can't speak to the dining experience, but I was really impressed with the service here. The man working was very kind to us. The prices were fantastic and the food was pretty good. I don't know if many people choose to dine in here, but I thought it was a great place to get carry-out. If I was local, I would be back for sure! read more

This Chinese food is alright. I really like the crab ragoons. Other than that the food is fair at best. The egg rolls are usually dripping in oil and very unappetizing. I usually get the general tsos chicken or sesame. It says it is supposed to be spicy but it's very mild. Last time I ate there was a couple weeks ago and all my food tasted like it was fried with fish. read more

Good food fast. Best steamed dumplings, just like from Taiwan street vendors. Just a take out place like so many others. Same store front and lobby designers! read more

This restaurant has really changed. I loved the egg foo young and yesterday I couldn't eat it. Sauce tasted like lemon and the patty was full of spinach and floating in oil. Unfortunately I won't order here anymore. read more

I called in to the restaurant and ordered a General Tso lunch special and a order of crab rangoon. While the crab was made fresh. the General Tso lunch special was terrible' the chicken was hard as a rock and the rice was bad it was like it was sittin there since lunch started. so I decided to call and obtain a refund and I spoke to the manager Ed and he was very very rude just downright disrespectful I told him about the situation and he said he makes sure the customer receives the freshest quality food and he can garuntee that when I asked to speak to the owner he said you have to come the store for that. He also wantes meI to drive back to the store if you don't return it within 24 hours you will not get a refund food safety is a concern when you look at the possible time that food could Iout that long after being cooked overall rude maybe the health department needs to be called read more

Ordered online and attempted to retrieve the order twice but each time left after waiting 20 minutes. They are short staffed and have empathy for that but when you order online you're charged regardless so I lost $18 and learned a lesson. read more

I use to love this place but the last two times I went there I waited nearly an hour for my food. They tell you ten minutes but it will be 45 to an hour. Once they gave me the wrong food and shorted me on the order. They obviously gave me someone else order. When i called , they acted like I was making it up. Finally they relented and told me next time my original order was free. I don't go there anymore. read more

My husband and I were hungry and really had a taste for Chinese food. I just have been so disappointed lately... so, we tried Golden bowl for the first time. As previously mentioned, the store is nothing to write home about... but the food definitely is! My husband commented that it was the best sesame chicken he had eaten in YEARS! My food was also very good, pork Khomeini. Very flavorful! Give them a try...I think you will enjoy. read more

Food was mediocre at best. Restaurant looks closed. Windows all covered with paper and covid wall still in place. Woman behind the counter was rude. read more

Everytime we order, everything is great. First place we've found on west side that's actually good!!

I bought lunch chicken chop suey, they forgot the noodles, when I called they said no big deal you weren't charged. Seriously. I ordered the beef teriyaki and it was burnt so bad wasn't even edible. They said next time I come in they'll give me a free soda. Needless to say I will never be returning, and the pork eggroll had a hair come on people never again. Bad choice for chinese. read more

Have only ever ordered food through door dash, but I've never been disappointed. Crab rangoons are always nice and full and crispy, they always overfill the containers so you really get your money's worth every time. The food is always delicious and I always love ordering from them. read more

I've been a valuable customer for years and have spent thousands on top of thousands of dollars. I received the wrong order and called to see what they were going to do and the manager told me to try it and that I would like it, then hung up on me! I will never go back! That was crazy! read more

Website offered delivery which we paid a tip for. Meal never showed up. When we called Manager was very rude and hung up on me. We went to pick up our food over and hour later and my meal was so soggy it had to be thrown out. We will never order from there again. Terrible service and food. read more

Ordered our food online, added shrimp to my order, never received the shrimp. Then the chicken lo mien was not good at all. My coconut chicken was not all that bad, some pieces were rubbery. Overall, not the best food I've eaten. 10/10 would not recommend. Didn't even receive fortune cookies the one thing they couldn't mess up. Didn't even want to rate it but had to, to write this review. read more

This place is amazing. Came here armed to spend a crap ton of money... 7 bucks for the buffet (1 drink included) *for an all you can eat .... free drinks (not just a drink) should be provided* had wanton soup, chicken on a stick, rice, spring and egg rolls... It's amazing! Don't know about their delivery bc I'm not lazy. The owner is nice (authentic fresh off the boat but speaks English), the Chinese dough nuts are not to be missed. Only thing that was weird is their rice insta pot.... not my style. I also wish that they had authentic plates and soup spoons..: but me and my tummy loved it! read more

Golden Bowl - a plate of food on a red tray - Chinese Near Me - Elyria, Ohio

Excellent food, reasonably priced. It's a small place, maybe 14 tables at most before Covid. They put up the acrylic shields and closed off the dining room for the pandemic. Delivery is still going strong, or takeout is an option if you call ahead read more

Our go to Chinese food in north Ridgeville /Elyria! The peanut chicken lunch special is my favorite.

Was trying to find a new Chinese spot in town... Guess ill have to keep looking.. What I got was ok but cold. However a 2 hr delivery time (after being told 50 mins to an hr) and the fact that my order was wrong, leads me to believe that this restaurant has terrible management and can not function as a viable business. Driver was unapologetic, fried rice was boring, crab rangoon was all cream cheese, fried wontons were over done and cold, and to top it off they forgot my fried dumplings. I appreciate the girl who answers the phone trying to help and giving me a "credit" towards my next meal but I definitely will not be using it. This was a big 2 thumbs down. Guess im going back to my old crap chinese food in town. at least they got my order right. read more

From ordering on the phone to picking up in the restaurant, the service was great. I usually reserve my thoughts on Chinese take-out places until after I've had my favorite dish from their menu and Golden Bowl didn't disappoint. The Take out containers were full to capacity, there was less breading but more meat and the egg rolls were delicious. With one experience they've made me a returning customer. read more

If I could give 0 I would. The owners, especially the female, is very rude and short tempered with customers. This is not just a one time thing, she's always this way. She shouldn't be in this business. I've chosen not to give them anymore of my business. Food was okay. read more

I read the reviews before I came and everybody seem to like this place... I don't eat Chinese food often but today I was in the mood and when I walked in the lady at the desk has a HUGE SMILE the customer service was great! I paid 5.95 for the lunch buffet and the food was excellent and it comes with a drink ! . Such a great deal and this place is very clean ! I recommend this place to everyone ! read more

I have used this restaurant since they have opened. I supported all through Covid. Sometimes the food could be a little less quality than before Covid. I over looked those small inconsistencies. In Sept I ordered sweet and sour chicken which is now almost 13 dollars for the quart. I had door dash deliver as I was unable to leave my home that day. Door dash delivered perfectly. The chicken was almost burnt and dripping in grease. It appeared that they at some point had the chicken made and the re deep fried. Which is exactly how it looked. I called and they said I had to speak to the manager which is the owner. I explained. He was somewhat apologetic and said he would remake. I explained had order delivered for a reason and could not come out. He said to call anytime and would remake for me for free. I offered to give my name, he said he did not need name that he would remember by phone number. I offered to take a pic so he could see how bad it really was, he said no not needed. Just to call when I wanted to pick up. I called this past week and the manager had no idea what I was talking about or any memory of our phone conversation. I guess he has so much business he doesn't care about a long term customer. I would beware of any promises he makes as he seems to loose his memory when the promise comes due. I will not be using Golden bowl again. I will drive a couple miles farther to China house in North Ridgeville read more

I should preface this review by saying the 4 stars is assuming you seek Good "americanized chinese delivery type place". If you are looking for sweet and sour pork, good fried rice etc of that variety it is a pretty good local shop :) . However if you are from china or china town, or expect authentic... This aint that kikda place, not in house regional or spicy sauces for the more advanced pallet... nor spicy fish, salt/pepper squid, or the more traditional authentic menu items. Just need to differentiate that but its good for americanized :) read more

Super friendly customer service!! The free sample was delicious although I couldn't name it. The owner immediately made me a new dish when I told him the beef was a bit overcooked and I would love to have some authentic Chinese food. I was happy with my food after all. Friendly staff and reasonable prices and portions. The entrees were good, but the crab rangoons weren't crunchy and the vegetable egg rolls were bland. They also got one of our orders wrong, giving us chicken instead of shrimp. I'd give them one more chance if I lived in the area and would update my review, but I was just passing through. read more
