There are only two REAL Chinese restaurants in the area run by Chinese. I am on business and tried both of them. China bay is much better than Hunan King. The quality of food is better. Price is a bit cheaper. I give China Bay 4 stars and Hunan King 3 stars. Both restaurants are run my Chinese. They speak Mandarin. Most of the dishes are authentic Chinese dishes. Please don't order # H06 (Seafood Pan Fried Noodle). They are not using the right noodle for this dish. It was awful. I was a Chinese chef when I was in college for 5 years. I know Chinese food. Their food is OK. Their service and professionalism is horrible. We ordered $50 in food. Egg fu young was one of the dishes. They put the gravy in a cup which was near the bottom of the bag. When we got home the cup was crushed to this ridiculous manner of packing. What's egg fu young without gravy? My wife went to them the next day to explain the issue and a guy came from back yelling and screaming at her. He says that is how they always pack their stuff. We have been looking for a new Chinese take out place since the one we have been going to for the last 7 years started making some inconsistent food over the past 2 weeks. We saw an advertisement for China Bay and gave them a shot and are glad we did! Their cuts of meat seem to be of a higher quality then others we have tried. Of course I would expect this quality from an actual sit down restaurant but for a take out joint we were pleasantly surprised. This place is very new and in an old plaza that could ordinarily cause you to pass right by or not even consider it. I'd say it is worth a try. All of the food seems fresh and authentic compared to your average Chinese takeout establishments. There is a Buffett that runs during the week which may be the best place to start if you'd like to get a good idea of how the taste/preparation/quality is of your various go to dishes for Chinese takeout. If you like egg drop soup, they do do it better than average here. Steamed or Deepfried dumplings are a must try here if you like that sort of thing. Honey chicken and Bourbon chicken was fantastic. There is no fountain drinks, so be prepared to purchase cans or bottles if you're dining in - if you're doing carry out then cans and bottles are more convenient anyway. We got carry out while staying in a nearby hotel. The food stayed piping hot during our trek back to the hotel. By far, the best hot and sour soup we. Have ever tasted. Broth was the perfect consistency- and full of veggies. The Golden fried vegetable rice was delicious. And the Kung Pao Chicken was amazing- full of crisp vegetables , tender chicken and peanuts. Tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago, we have been looking for a Chinese place that is comparable to what we used to get our usual place before we moved. We ordered general tso's chicken, sesame chicken, chicken and broccoli, fried rice, and egg rolls. I gotta say we were impressed. It was very comparable to our old Chinese go-to. This place is great! 3 people is 15.98 or aprox 5.27 per person. It's a buffet dine in but they do have an individual itemized menu. The plates and cuttery are all disposable, the tables are stable, the walls are tangerine orange with some posters, food is great! And delicious! Definitely worth a check out! Had the lunch buffet at the Grand Opening sale price for $4.99, which would be a deal if the food would have been good. You get one bottle of water with the meal, the plates and eating utensils were plastic and flimsy, and the food was sub-par at best. We often get Chinese takeout while traveling, and tonight's meal from China Bay was, hands-down, the best takeout Chinese food we've ever had!
