Went to Fuji's after they have been closed for a major renovation. Loved the brightness of the new space. Food was exceptional, fresh and delicious. I ate too much. The service was superb! We always sit in this one area that has my favorite waitress. They need to put on name tags so I can give her a proper shout out! I'm so happy they remolded. I read the reviews about Fuji prior to going and noticed the tipping being a recurring issue. Keeping this in mind, I went to Fuji hoping for a better experience, but found myself disappointed with the restaurant. When you walk in and state how many are in your party, they give you your receipt, which has a "Tip" line in it. Obviously, we didn't put down a tip because we didn't get the dining experience yet. The cashier gave us a nasty look before we were seated. Already, the atmosphere is hostile.  The food selection was okay. They have 7 tables of food, one was American food, one was salad, one was desert, and the rest were the usual Chinese buffet food options. They have a sushi bar in the back, a hibachi area, and a soup section. The sushi bar and dessert table were my favorite parts of the buffet due to a wider variety compared to other buffets, however, the rest of the food wasn't as good as I was hoping for.  The staff weren't very friendly (except for the guy who sat us at our table) and looked annoyed as people were walking around the buffet area. Before we left, we handed a tip to one of the waitresses. As we're getting up to leave, an older lady says to us, "Tip?" We told her we already tipped, and she says, "Tip more?" We kept saying we already tipped and she gave up, saying bye to us. That kind of attitude made us regret leaving a tip for such an entitled person. Mind you, we tipped $10 for a $30 bill (I only had $10 bill and tend to leave generous tips) I don't recommend this place. Visited a few times pre pandemic, it's a buffet so you get what you get. My 80 year old mother on the other hand, seemed to really enjoy the place, until today. Mom informed me that she took my niece and 3 grandchildren there for lunch and, as you pay upfront, asked if she could tip ahead of time for the service? That was acceptable and she did so. She is a life long blue collar worker and appreciates people that work for a living so I'm sure she was accommodating. When they rose to leave a server told her she " had" to leave a tip for the crew. She explained to this individual how she had " pre-tipped " and was pretty much harassed by the person and a couple of other staffers to tip. Like I said, she is 80 but still pretty stand up, she told them tipping was optional and they were not getting any more, in fact, if she could take her pre-tip back she would, and informed them that they just lost a good customer. I went to the website on February 13th and it said nothing about prices for February 14th. They stated that it was dinner all day and for the two of us it cost over $41. The food was cold, The quality was very low, and the little girl clearing our plates asked for her tip when we were leaving. It was my first time @Fuji Buffet to meet up with a friend for lunch. Truly appreciated the Senior discount. Service was excellent Server cleared dirty plates n refilled our drinks often. The Sushi alone was very good n well worth it. The fresh grilled meat, seafood (mostly got shrimp) n fresh veggies grilled to order was very delicious. Everything was so good I def will return w/family soon. Minus 1-star bcuz the ladies restroom could be a lil cleaner, but, overall, thee BEST buffet in the Parma, OH area. It's a couple bucks cheaper than across the street. It is weird that they ask you to pay and tip before you've even had a view of what the place offers. They do offer sushi and nigiri, but the sushi chef seemed annoyed with people taking it as she replaced each piece as it was removed from her stack. Food was unremarkable. I did have to spit out a couple bites. That's never happened to me. I couldn't find any item that I liked and now I'm beginning to feel ill. LOVE this place!!! OUTSTANDING salad bar, fresh, fresh, fresh! They have romaine or mixed greens, healthy, plenty toppings. There's a wide assortment of buffet foods, 9 different stations, a row of sushi selections PLUS the the fresh grilled items, you select, they cook in front of you. Dishes are at good temp, employees clean the areas & mix constantly so everything looks delicious & appealing & beautiful. Empty or almost empty trays are replenished quickly. Popular place, so everything is fresh and delicious. The wait staff are incredibly quick to clear dishes from the table and serve refills. Wanting to try something different, signage is very deceiving first sign says beverage included was charged for drink then was explained, I don't mind paying for my pop, but at least come bring me a refill I shouldn't have to ask the waitress, she saw my drink 3/4's gone she should have brought one over or took my cup & refilled it, what I really enjoyed was the pepper steak w/onions, fried rice was really good, I was surprised they had riped plantains oh how I loved them. My other gripe is I saw the waitress wipe the bottom of her shoes with the rag she uses to wipe tables off then put it back on the counter to use again but the other waitress caught her told her something in their native tongue threw it away, had she did that. Let me start by saying that you get what you pay for. At $15/person for dinner, there's really not much that you should expect! With that being said, I think that my experience was pretty pleasant since I had my expectations set correctly before coming here. In my opinion, the food here is quite delicious and it was served hot and fresh, with refills being swapped in timely throughout the night when the dish was getting low. I personally really enjoyed this buffet and would come back if I ever want a really cheap meal! The reason Fuji can afford to be such a cheap buffet Is due to their smaller variety of food. It had about 4 main stations, but you'll find mostly different variations of chicken dishes. They do have some beef (e.g. beef and broccoli) dishes, but a very small selection since beef is more expensive. Regardless of their limited variety, each dish was well prepared and nothing was hard to eat. The fresh noodle stir-fry/noodle soup bar was great. I tried the noodle soup and it was nice and hit and fresh. Amazing to have this option. The most "expensive" dish that most people tend to choose to fill up on to get their value is their crispy peppered shrimp. This dish is actually really well done. It's perfectly crisp and seasoned amazingly. Since this was obviously a very popular choice, it was almost always fresh out of the kitchen and refilled very often. Along with the shrimp, there were other seafood choices along the same station, such as mussels and even small crawfish! The sushi was surprisingly ok. I only had about 4 different pieces of sushi, but it was fine. It's cheap sushi at its best, so there isn't really much more to say about it. read more

Rarely am I this satisfied from a buffet and the shoe variety of options. Not only were there many things to choose from but the flavor of each item that I tried surpassed what I'd hoped for. Too often you find a buffet that goes the cheap route, or tastes like every other buffet. It is not to say that some of the food probably doesn't taste like everywhere else. A good standard is just that. But the sushi was fresh and phenomenal. The hibachi bar while there were not many choices for vegetables and meats was very satisfying and always enjoyable to watch. For my children it was great to see several American standards as well as the traditional fries and pizza and other fried goodies. Our chief complaint (and if this is all we could complain about then this is a great thing) was there was no crab Rangoon and my favorite type of dim sum was not available. Price was very reasonable, just a dollar higher than the restaurant we often go to closer to my home, but the quality so out-shown that location it's a clear choice where to go next. read more

The service here and the food quality has gone downhill for a few years now. There is a waitress who works here who starts cursing in mandarin when someone doesn't leave a tip. Not all the waitresses are bad though, the younger ones are way nicer than the older ones. Let's talk about the quality of the food here. When you catch them fresh, the food is amazingly good. But majority of the time the food is either too soggy or sat under the lamps for too long and lost all moisture. And on really bad days, some food might have been sitting for too long or recycled from the day before. The reason I suspect so is because my friend and I love seafood I'm more cautious and steer from their sushi, crab, & prawns. My friend unfortunately did not and got food poisoning. He still has the runs today but his fever broke yesterday and he also stopped vomiting. I got an upset stomach but that was all. I believe these Asian buffets don't throw their food out every few hours to avoid cross contamination and germinating of food items especially seafood. I hope they do better. read more

This is kind of the go to option for my son and I. It's just up the road from his school. I'm glad that school is over soon. They have a good variety of food. Not extensive, but better than others in the area. They do bring the drinks right away and they usually give refills quickly. Are there healthy options? Maybe the water. It's restaurant food. Fat, salt and sugar. If you are concerned about healthy eating no restaurant is good. But if you want to throw caution to the wind then this is as good a place as any. read more

Im not sure ill be going here anymore. The service was terrible. And all they do is clear your plates. But, they asked us about our plates every 5 minutes. We felt rushed to leave and as soon as we got up to leave the lady literally yelled after us asking if we were gonna tip. Tipping is OPTIONAL. And as someone who used to live off tips as a waitress, i dont tip people who just clear my plates. And as soon as you yell at me to tip you....you definitely arent getting one. Again at Fuji in Parma when we were leaving my fiancee was asked for a tip at the table. She's done that before. My friend took us out and paid the tip on his credit card so when my fiancee was by himself she tried hitting him up for a tip, and he paid her without knowing the scam. He told her tonight it wasn't his responsibility for that table (it wasn't even our table). My other friend said that happened to them that they singled out his wife's girlfriend for a tip last Fall. My family visited this place when it first opened and they said that it was pretty quiet and not a lot of people in the restaurant. I thought to myself "yeah mom because it's probably dirty and the food is probably all fried with a bunch of crazy sauces." So when my parents suggested I go with them this past weekend to try it, I wanted to go in with an open mind. An open mind was not needed after walking into the place. The first thing you see is modern decor and warm colors. You are greeted by a friendly face where you pay before eating. A hostess asked us where we wanted to sit (nice gesture). Our table was clean and the atmosphere of the place was great. Very modern, warm and clean. There are big TVs on either side which make it nice to watch some news or sports. There is so much food and so much variety that I didn't know where to begin. I saw sushi, hibachi , coconut shrimp, soups, ice creams, broccoli salad, lo mein and the list goes on and on. I wanted everything. I knew I needed to be strategic of what I got so I just got a little of everything that looked good. Oh the mussels, yes they looked good. We usually go to Kumo, and I'm sure we will continue to go there too but this place is pretty awesome and for the price you can't beat it. We are a huge Romanian-American Chinese and Japanese eating family so Kumo and this place will definitely be visited often, very often. read more
