My BF and I went for my birthday and just wanted a nice dinner. We sat for about 20 min waiting for service, which we didn't receive until we had to ask a server for help! Then my menu was missing the page of steaks and I was bummed because he said they had them; until I realized I was missing a page. We ordered drinks and our appetizer and meal at the same time. The drink my BF ordered was no longer in stock..... Idk why you offered it?! We got drinks before bread and about 2 min before dinner... Still no appetizer. It was a really really REALLY long wait and our appetizer which came out AFTER our meals?!? He ordered his steak medium rare and it came out medium well?! How is that even close? He was very upset and very confident that we will never be back! My steak was medium and it was good. The service was so terrible that it ruined the whole experience and was a huge disappointment. I highly doubt we will ever be back!!!! I will say that the waitress that DID help us, was very nice and gave us a free dessert when she boxed up the meal. She also comped his steak. Decent food but crap service. Food was about 12-15 per entree with steak around 30. We kept having to ask for every little thing. Can we pull up another table? Can you wipe it off for us? I would say my rating is an average of what I have experienced every time I have had this restaurant. The Service: Super nice waitresses (for the most part). All of the women I have had as a waitress have been super friendly and welcoming. I have had one waiter who was a less desirable in a waiter (he didn't really check up on our table, and kind of made our party feel like we were burdening him). The Atmosphere: Lounge style, dark and somewhat secluded from other parties. Overall pretty nice place. The Food: Okay, where do I begin. I ordered pasta here once, it was the most bland pasta I have ever had as an adult. Really. No salt, pepper or anything else. Kraft mac and cheese was more flavorful than this pasta. Someone Else who was dining with me however ordered the steak bistro salad- which was amazing- at the time. The veggies were sautéed in balsamic, the steak was tender and juicy and the whole salad was topped with a crunchy jalapeño (might be another chili) popper. Delicious. Heres the catch- I have returned many times for this salad, receiving completely different quality and flavored version of the same exact order. The last time I ordered it, the steak was dry and thin beef jerky-esque. The veggies have been raw. It has been delicious again, it might be the chef. I've been to this restaurant a number of times and my food has always been good. I have no complaints about my meal. I will however say my service was AWFUL. Normally service is ok at best but tonight was hands down one of the worst service I've received in a restaurant. We waited for anyone to acknowledge our arrival for close to five minutes and were seated at a dirty table with crumbs all over the seats. Our waitress clearly did not like her job. My husband asked for a water when she came to take our drink order and evidently that was my choice too because she didn't even wait to see what I wanted. My wine (which I ordered with my dinner order) was almost gone by the time my entree arrived and was empty after a few bites. Never was asked if my food was ok let alone if I would like another glass. And we didn't even get offered dessert. Oh and I had to box my own leftovers. So normally a nice dinner out we spend about $100, our dinner was $40 because we were rushed through a date night dinner. Guess this restaurant isn't in business to make money or actually provide service. Next time we will just drive to Visalia and hit a real restaurant. Last time I go here despite relatively good food. This is not your "fast Italian" restaurant. If you want "soup, salad, and breadsticks," look elsewhere. This is high end, Top Chef quality cuisine. The atmosphere was subdued and comfortable. The portions were enough to make us leave some behind in order to fit dessert. I had the Chicken Tequila Fettuccine. It was superb. I never would have thought to top grilled chicken with fresh jalapeños, but it worked wonderfully. My girlfriend had the al pesto tortellini, and I cannot type fast enough to capture her praises for it. For dessert, we each had the creme brûlée cheesecake. It was smooth, rich, and flavorful. A perfect end to a wonderful meal. The server had the near perfect balance of attentiveness and ignoring us, giving us the privacy to keep the intimacy of our meal in tact, while still keeping our drinks full. The only negative I can give is that they were out of iced tea. The server offered to make more, but also suggested an alternative which still complimented the meal. read more

Just tried the new menu and were very pleased. The entire dining experience was much more enjoyable than the previous two times I've experienced. Service was fantastic Tyler was our server and he was great had great recommendations and was very attentive to our requests. Food came out at the appropriate times unlike inhe past when everything was dreadfully slow. Food was also great we had the shrimp scampi appetizer and it was great and the shrimps were more like giant prawns. The steak and lobster tail was excellent as well. Loved the blue cheese butter. I have seen the reviews in here and it had me skeptical, but I have to say that I was very impressed! The menu was diverse and the food was delicious. I had never been here before the menu change, but I enjoyed every aspect of my dinner. I order two appetizers and dessert, plus 3 different drinks from the bar and everything was excellent. I have liked it pretty well anytime we have gone as a party of two. The food isn't amazing, kinda bland sometimes but it is a nice atmosphere and good food. We have been to the one in Hanford as a party of around 15 and the same for the Visalia Fugazzi's... It is incredible the POOR POOR service you get as a large party. You get one server and that server gets no help. We had to ask for bread in both situations! They brought one round for HALF of the table the time in Hanford and in Visalia we just had to ask about an hour into service...which to me, is not cool. It is just hard for one server to take excellent care of a large party and have other tables. It would be nice if on Large parties they had 2 servers ESPECIALLY because gratuity is added at 18% poor service or not. You would think they would want the large parties choosing their business for dinner, that is some good $$!! We ended up canceling our dessert order because after being there for 2.5 hours you are kinda just ready to go home. I went to dinner with my wife and kids for out anniversary, so I will start off with first impressions I believed that I needed a suit and tie. However we were not rejected so that is ok. My family was promptly seated and we ordered drinks. I ordered a raspberry ice tea, my wife had a long island and my kids both had chocolate milk My wife had a Linguine and Clams which she said was OK but nothing to go crazy about. The noodles were a little over cooked and lacked flavor. However it was as close to Napoli as she has come in a while. I had a Spicy shrimp arrabiata it the noodles were over cooked but the spice was just right. It was ok for American, Italian food. My kids both had pizza and they loved it. You can't go wrong with pizza and kids. Over all my wife said she don't feel comfortable going to eat at this place as the atmosphere is too stiff necked for her. I loved the food I just wished I didn't feel like I needed a suit and tie on to eat here. If momma don't like it then that pretty much goes in line with my feelings. I will probably order take out but as for sitting and eating not so much. The food was good but I don't want to feel like I need to be high socity to get something to eat. I'm telling you guys what, my review went from horrible to amazing! They have really turned things around and I think if you've had a bad experience in the last few years, definitely give them another chance! The staff was all on point and so friendly. They really have a collective team effort going on. The hostess is amazing!!!! Everyone who walked by our table grabbed a dirty plate or refilled our cup even if they weren't our waitress! Food was amazing and drinks were great. But the server(s) were forgetful. We asked for bread for appetizer, but we never received it. My husband asked for a fork, and it took them 10+ minutes. We had to remind them again.. I understand working as a server can be overwhelming and it gets busy (I was a server once), but it shouldn't take someone 10+ mins to get a fork for a customer.. It was our first time at Fugazzis, so maybe next time it will be a different experience. Overall, the environment was nice. read more

So my wife and I are trying to figure out what to eat in this pandemic Valentine's Day. Settled on doing take out from Fugazzis. Fugazzis had been our go to the past 2 or 3 Valentine's days. Call it in and was told I would receive a text when my food is ready to be picked up. 30 minutes later received a text that said my food was ready to be picked up. Head over to go pick up the food and bell hop boy tells me to go to the bar and someone will be right with you. 5-10 mins go by I see a worker that's holding a check book and I ask him. Hey I'm here to pick up my order. He tells me to wait and someone will be with me shortly. Now I'm pissed. Who is the person I'm waiting for to hand me my food that is obviously ready to be picked up? I under stand if the food was still being cooked but my food was sitting in a bag ready to be paid for and taken. I call my wife and contemplate on just walking out and make a Valentine's Day dinner at home with what we have in the fridge. I give it one last chance and I ask the dude that first told me to wait. Magically now he is able to take time from taking pictures of people to bring me my food. If any one knows me I am a BIG tipper (my wife always yells at me for tipping so much). This time they got a FAT 0 for tip and a little note that says "Don't make ppl wait for a food pickup". Now my food is cold and gross. Did call back and became a "Karen". The "manager" did say that he was sorry and tried to save face by offering me a comp meal next visit. But I'm straight off that place. My wife and I would never treat any of our customers like that at our restaurant. Like I said before. If the food is still being cooked, well then there is nothing that I can do about it. But this situation really put a bad taste in my mouth. What they can do is give the "comp meal" they offered me to the homeless or needy family. read more

The decor and ambiance is very nice. The server was attentive. It's a good date place. The quality of the food wasn't great. The food was a 2. I started with a side salad with blue cheese dressing. The dressing was just cheapy shelf stable stuff. Not even the quality that I would buy from the grocery store for home. The bread was either over toasted or stale. The dipping sauce was good. I got the fusilli pasta. It was curly cue pasta that tasted like it cost about .99 cents. It definitely was not home made or gourmet. The pesto sauce on the pasta was good. There were a few artichokes in it. Most of the leaves were too tough to chew. Not much artichoke heart there either. The sun dried tomatoes in the sauce were good. It just would have been nice to see a better quality of pasta rather than such a processed one. Next time I'll get a sandwich. read more

Sat around for some time viewed the area decor was alright not a busy time of the day so almost no one was there. Finally 30 minutes later come around and get our drinks, appetizer, and order which we have been waiting on forever. Then people who ordered and sat down after us got their food so I was pretty... App came a few mins before the main course. Ate then paid a hefty bill for just 2 people. Definitely my favorite Hanford restaurant. The atmosphere is quiet and inviting, and I enjoy the higher-end feel of this location. Service used to be pretty sub-par here, but I've noticed improvement in the staffing and speed for sure. Jose was our server tonight and was one of the best we've ever had. Literally didn't forget any detail, was courteous and unobtrusive, and seems to foresee our needs. All I can say is, AMAZING FOOD! Absolutely loved my first visit here. My now fiancée and I came to celebrate our engagement by having a nice intimate dinner here. It's a lovely place, perfect for a night out with friends and family. I was really debating about doing this review because we usually have a great experience at this place. This night my wife suggested we have date night at this facility. We were seated and our server was very pleasant. We ordered the romantic dinner for two as always. The service went south from there. It took forever for our salads to come out and our appetizers. The presentation was the worse we've ever had here and the food was off. Medium well was requested but our steaks were still mooing. As a public health employee I don't like sending food to the back so we just took it with us. I don't know what was going on with them on this night but they probably lost a faithful couple. Too bad too because we really liked them before this experience. I will say that it could be an isolated incident so try it for yourself and see how you like it. read more
