5 stars for great customer service. The hostess was friendly and our waitress was attentive and happy. 4 stars for food. Breakfast was good but I just had 2 eggs, 2 sausage, and hash browns. I loved the crispy edge sausage patties and crunchy hashbrowns. My mom enjoyed her biscuit gravy breakfast. She ordered extra crispy bacon and it was perfect! 0 stars for their coffee. We went for lunch on Memorial Day , the place was not very busy so we had no issues finding a seat. I have to say the chicken Florentine was great! The sauce was spot on and the chicken and mushrooms were very flavorful. The chicken quesadilla was not bad either , I wouldn't be opposed to ordering any of those menus again. Our server was okay , she was quick, but I just didn't feel like she gave a 5 star service hence I took a star in my review. My wife and I tried Fry's because it was close to the Expo center. I had the chicken fried steak with a salad and home fries. It was great! I shouldn't have eaten it all because the portions were huge. It was so good I couldn't stop. My wife had the chicken fried chicken, salad and loaded mashed potatoes. My husband overheard coworkers talking about this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. The restaurant was super easy to find. We arrived around 2:30ish a a Saturday and it wasn't incredibly busy. We sat ourselves and was immediately greeted by our server. We ordered the fried onion rings as our appetizers, which arrived at our table sooner than we expected. It was hot and delicious! My husband and I ordered the exact same thing: chicken fried steak, home fries and a house salad. Everything was delicious. Our server was attentive but not overly so. Came for breakfast around 11:30am, on a Saturday. I got the 2 Avocado Burritos, hubby got the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. Both had coffee. Portions are Big! Burritos were good in flavor and hot in temp, the way it's supposed to be. Spicy chipotle sauce has a good kick (for my liking) but flavorful. Pico, not so much. Drove from Frisco to visit my daughter decided to have lunch here. Doesn't look like much when You drive up but inside it's nice, cozy and roomy. The service was great the food came out quick hot and delicious very southern home style cooking. It's worth the price and great little spot to stop and have nice home cooked meal. read more

Good and just ok. First time visitor. THE GOOD: The biscuits were homemade and pretty tasty with butter. The vegie omelet was flavorful and full of fresh ingredients. There were plenty of condiments on the table and a service button you could push if you needed anything. I ordered avocado on the side, and they gave me what seemed like an entire half which was really nice. My boyfriend really enjoyed the chocolate pancake and his omelet. The food came out pretty quickly, so we did not have to wait very long. THE BAD: The hashbrowns were stale and a bit rubbery. Possibly because they were sitting for a while or because they were frozen beforehand. Not sure. The outside of the building was not inviting, and there were no decorations or pictures on the wall inside. Maybe they were renovating? They charged extra for wheat toast and extra for real butter. Why not just give people real butter instead of vegetable oil spread? The staff was attentive but none of them seemed like they wanted to be there, especially the woman that rang us up at the end of our meal. We were pleasantly surprised here. They have a wide selection of foods. We ordered liver and onions and the smothered hamburger steak. The food was served hot and fresh, including the gravy. Veggies were well seasoned. The side salad was a very generous serving and the lettuce was very fresh. They were observing all Covid safety requirements. Tables well spaced and masks on every employee. The restaurant even smelled fresh and clean. We will definitely return! And the prices are very reasonable. Went to the Restaurant yesterday, 2022-03-16, 11:33:12, Order # 1169-2001 and ordered a Club Sandwich to go, was charged $11.36. When I got home, opened the box saw the four pieces all were white and not toasted! When I looked into the sections there was no American or Swiss cheese and no red onion! I called the restaurant and asked for the z manager and was told he was not there and leave my telephone number and he would call me back. I was never called back! I told the person who answered the phone and she said she would tell the manager. She said, "let me look at the menu, and then said, yes, it should have American, and Swiss. Cheese and red onion, but nothing about toasting the bread! It is obvious that the cook does not know how to follow directions and needs supervision in how to make a Club Sandwich! Beware, an amateur is preparing to-go orders. I admit I should have opened the bag, looked and refused the order! When I go to McDonalds or any of the other places, they charge $0.20 for a slice of cheese. So, I guess I paid $0.40 too much read more

I really do not like subpar customer service or the lack of empathy for customers. This was our 2nd visit in a few days bc the food is really good. However on both occasions the service was lacking. Food coming out at different times or not prepared according to ordered. Today we actually asked the server to repeat our order back to us yet due to a language barrier, she was unable to. In turn, this resulted in us having the incorrect food items & a lot of substitutions not asked for. Oh, and the substitutions were not allowed without the a la cartel charges. On top of all that, the food came out at different times. Sigh. The food was very good but when customer service sucks, the entire experience is off putting. Upon check out the cashier was not actually interested in finding a resolution. However I'm sure my demeanor wasn't one of cooperation sooooo...yea. My chicken fried steak, that I have had many times before, was a brown and blacked edge shoe leather. A ton of breading overcooked with not much meat. Hash browns under cooked but eggs prefect and toast great. The waiter fast and charming. When I asked what in the heck had they done to the lovely, comfortable coffee shop. New owner? No just change. I frequently eat here both breakfast and lunch. Today was terrible. Coffee was not hot and had little coffee flavor. Like they used old coffee grounds. Ordered chicken fried steak and it was fast to arrive. The meat was so tough I had to chew and spit out over 80% of the meat. It was awful. The tiny amount of green beans I did get were good but very stingy with what was the least expensive of food items. The mashed potatoes were good. So today I had vegetables and breaded crust. Won't be doing lunch here anymore. I would rate less stars if I could read more

My husband and family have been here and ordered take out MANY times. Today, met up for lunch... I wanted a Chef Salad no ham, no turkey sub Gr CK bc the last time my husband and I came it was sooo delicious. WELL, didn't happen today, instead I was basically called a liar by the manager bc I told him the waitress last time substituted the chk with no issues and definitely not a $9.99 sub fee. The mgr continued to say "Really? We never make substitutions" I explained that when we came the waitress made the sub with no issues and he again said "Really?" Implying that what O was saying was a lie FOR SOME CHK, lol. I further gave a description of the waitress that assisted us last time and the booth that we sat at..:. Then with a grin, he said and how long ago was that? Again making me feel like I am lying and need to create a whole entire story for a substitution. After I told him it was about a couple weeks ago, his need to say, REALLY? again irked me. My family and I got up and left and went to Clems where they seem to not antagonize their customers. While the food is good here, I doubt we return because being a waitress in my younger days, Customer Service and how someone Manages their restaurant speaks VOLUMES!!!!
