I heard great things about this place so when my child spilled water on our computer, I took it there. I was told that the keyboard/touchpad component needed to be replaced. I authorized them to do so and waited for the service to be complete. When I got the computer back, neither the keyboard or touchpad were working. I called the store to tell them that it was not working in the asked me to bring it back in. After that, several emails and phone calls went unreturned so I went up there for the fourth time during the process to ask him about the part. They informed me that the part that they replaced it with was faulty and they had to order another one. I did ask why no one returned any calls and they said oh well we're sorry about that. Also asked whether or not they check the part prior to collecting my $400 and they said they did yet as soon as I got home the part did not work. Once again, several phone calls went unreturned. I had to go up there for about the sixth time to find out the progress of this second replacement part. It finally came in and I took home. Upon trying to use it the first time, I realize that I had no Internet connection. I went to the Wi-Fi setting and it said that no Wi-Fi hardware was installed. I called them once again, and was told to bring back, again. I was originally told it would be a quick fix and that I could wait as they took care of it. I decided to drop it off anyway because I had errands to run. I didn't hear anything else about the computer so I had to call back again to check on the progress of the Wi-Fi situation. I was then told that the Wi-Fi card was damaged due to the water and it it would cost more money to replace it. The Wi-Fi was working before during and after the initial process. It took this last trip up there for the Wi-Fi to go bad. I spoke with the manager and told him my frustrations of the number of trips up there the number of the number of phone calls and emails that went unreturned and he said he understood but the part still needed to be replaced because of the water damage. He said it would take a day or two. I just left there after almost 2 weeks for them to tell me that the work has not been done yet. I said it should've been done in two days based on your managers comments and he said well I don't see that anywhere in the notes. I've had zero concern or customer service from this group. Each visit I've gotten the impression that I was putting them out when I walked into their stores They disappear to the back for 10-15 minutes and then come back like they couldn't even find the computer. I left there with a still unusable WiFi and lesson learned about Fruit Fixed. read more

I brought my iphone to Fruit Fixed today. I had attempted a DIY battery replacement for my 5S over the weekend only to wreak havoc on my screen. I found them on Yelp and had never seen so many glowing reviews, to which I am adding mine. I signed in on Yelp on a Sunday night and received an almost immediate reply from Justin, as well as several follow-up replies. I walked in at 10:15 this morning and walked out less than half an hour later with a new screen and tempered glass screen protector. The price was right (better than Apple, by far, and no "Geniuses" to be seen anywhere!). Richard had me in and out, no muss, no fuss, even while taking care of several other customers. I really appreciate true and good customer service and the folks at Fruit Fixed get it. Highly recommended. read more

My phone had been cracked for quite sometime but I guess the last drop made it unusable. I called around trying to get quotes and fruit fix was the cheapest. They fixed it in a timely manner and everything was great. Fast forward a couple of days and the phone started acting weird. Keyboard glitches, wouldn't react to touch...things like that. Now I take full responsibility in that I did not take it back immediately but I did not think much of the glitches. Today I woke up to a cracked phone. My phone has been laying next to my bed all morning so there is no way it fell. Brandon on the phone was very unhelpful and quoted me a "discounted price" that is the same price listed online. I'm very disappointed in how this situation was handled. read more

They were so nice and fit us in fast. It only took 45 minutes and my screen looks brand new!

We stopped in Richmond overnight while traveling and our 9 year old dropped her beloved IPad Mini in the hotel lobby, smashing the screen and denting the corner edge. With many more miles to go - we needed a quick fix before leaving town. After reading the reviews on Yelp - we decided on Fruit Fixed. We walked in without an appointment and the friendly business owner assured my little one that her IPad would be as good as new when we returned from lunch. True to his word, everything was put right and the price was less than expected (also less than a local competitor). Highly recommend these guys! read more

All you could want in a business. Fair, fast, friendly and competent at what they do. In from out of town with a balky charging port ready to pay for a new one. But the technician recommended some quick cleaning first and voila, I was on my way in minutes with a lot more cash in my pocket. read more

Prices are VERY reasonable. The turnaround time is FAST--got in iPhone 5 screen replaced in 15 minutes with an OEM screen while having a pleasant chat with Richard. I did some browsing in the few minutes I was there and purchased a tempered glass screen protector and a shock-absorbing case. The owner of the iPhone is thrilled with the fix (our daughter accidentally bumped her friend's iPhone off a wall causing it to tumble 30 feet to the concrete below--ouch). I now feel reassured that the phone will come out much better off the next time it goes through the same kind of torture that got me looking for somewhere reasonable and reliable to replace the screen in the first place! I've already recommended Fruit Fixed to several people. I hope Fruit Fixed does well and that they are around for a long time! read more

Fruit Fixed - After--what a transformation! And before--pretty smashed up screen :( - Electronics Repair Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

The dude took my phone apart so he could get the dust off of the inside of my camera lens cover. No new parts, it was just something I couldn't do myself. He did it immediately when I went in and had it done in a few mins. I really appreciate him doing it and he didn't charge me anything. You could expect more of this from fruit fixed. read more

This place is fantastic. And they don't JUST fix the fruit, they also fix Androids. Great customer service. Big thank you to Jay :)

Needed a new battery for an iPhone 5. We came in just after they opened and Richard helped us out and had us on our way in about 10 minutes total time. Friendly and fast service with a $5 discount when you check in on yelp. Definitely would recommend this place. Thanks Richard. read more

Can't say enough about this place. Awesome experience, told me it would be an hour and only took 20 minutes to replace the built in battery in my S6.. Tmobiles solution was to replace my entire phone! NOT with Fruitfixed! THANKS GUYS! read more

Dropped off my iPad Air with a shattered screen on a Saturday morning, and even though they were a little backed-up, I was able to pick up my iPad with the repaired screen in about 3 hours which was just enough time to have a bite to eat and run errands around town. Great, friendly, and timely service. The cost is a considerable savings over other repair options. Highly recommended. read more

Fruit Fixed ordered a new screen and digitizer for my Motorola Moto X Pure and had it in within a couple days. By the time I came in with my phone it only took 45 minutes (with me distracting the tech while he worked) to remove the back, unscrew the frame, drop in the new screen and zip it back together. And that included the new tempered glass screen protector. I had some minor issues with the phone back adhesive not sticking and a pressure spot on the screen. I took it in a week later and in under an hour I had my phone back and looking good as new. Couldn't be happier with the service and attention to detail. I'll always recommend Fruit Fixed to anyone in need of mobile device repair. read more

Shattered my iPhone 7 screen while trying to snap a photo of my 2 year old Easter egg hunting earlier today so I decided to give Fruit Fixed in Carytown a try in hopes that they could replace the screen at a reasonable cost. My husband looked up the company's website (since I couldn't look it up myself due to the shattered screen) to see what pricing they had and he navigated through to the repairs section for the iPhone 7, which routes to the following URL - https://www.fruitfixed.com/iphone-7-repair/ From there, he saw an option for Screen/LCD Repairs with the price tag $200 listed below it. When he selected that option, he was routed to the following URL - https://www.fruitfixed.com/product/iphone-6-screenlcd-repair/ The iPhone 7 routes to a Screen/LCD Repairs product detail page that's priced at $95. It's easy for someone to misinterpret the 2 different prices as one being the original price and the 2nd (lower) price being a discounted price. The iPhone 7 Screen/LCD Repair product page was routing to the same service but for the iPhone 6. When I changed the "6" in the URL to a "7", it took me to the correct product detail page that should have been used on the website - https://www.fruitfixed.com/product/iphone-7-screenlcd-repair/ Turns out the $200 price displayed online for the iPhone 7 Screen/LCD Repair was the cost for an off-brand replacement screen that came with a 90 day warranty. This bothered me because their website and store advertise "True Original Parts" and a "Lifetime Warranty" without noting any exceptions. In the end, the Apple-branded iPhone 7 screen repair ended up costing me $250 and since it's an original Apple part, is covered by their lifetime warranty. The gentleman who helped me in the store was polite and I have no complaints with the work they did to my phone. I told the the salesman about the discrepancies on their website and being advertised in their store while checking out so hopefully it gets passed along to the owner. Update 4/21/17 Received a call from Richard who was totally understanding about the whole situation. He wanted to make sure I left feeling like I'd been treated fairly, which I do so I appreciate him taking the time to follow up with me so quickly. Some of the site has been updated as well but as a precaution, I'd still suggest calling the store beforehand to verify any pricing. read more

I am beyond impressed with the guys at Fruit Fixed in Cary Town. Not only are they extremely nice, I have never in my life had a display screen fixed on my computer without it being fuzzy or discolored - my computer looks brand spankin new!!! The place to go when the Apple Store tries to screw your over long story short. Had my IPhone fixed in no time after the Apple Store in Short Pump (who makes the product!) said they could not. Thanks Fruit Fixed. read more

Let me start by saying I'm one of those people who doesn't keep her phone in the safest of places or situations. My latest but not shocking mistake with my Iphone was to charge it at the pool, resting on a picnic table and leave it while I went to swim with my kids, with only the clear protective screen on it. Head back to my phone a bit later and find my phone fallen to the ground and cracked. Was it a squirrel that knocked it down, a gust of wind, or a curious but clumsy pool goer, I will never know. And to boot, I just had the screen fixed two weeks prior for dropping it at the pool . Frustrated and upset I went back to fruit fixed in tears. Jason Stein to the rescue. He not only fixed my phone but softened my anxiety about being an irresponsible phone owner. He discussed solutions and worked with me on the repair cost. Life throws you rocks and your iPhone breaks go to fruit fix and hopefully Jason will be working. read more

Took my son's MacBook Air in on a Saturday because it wasn't charging correctly and told them we needed it back quickly because he needed for a class he is taking. They said someone would be in touch with me within 24 hours. I had to call them on Sunday and was told they thought it was the charging port but they had ordered one and it would be midweek before it came in and then I would get a price to repair. I went and picked it up and took it somewhere else and had an estimate in 15 minutes and I picked it up on Tuesday afternoon in time to take it to my son before he went to class. They might do phones and tablets well but MacBooks not so much. Very disappointed. read more

First off, let me say they did a great job fixing the issue with my Samsung tablet being able to charge. On the other hand, when does it take two weeks in this day and age to have a part necessary for the fix to be shipped to the store. That is an awfully long time to be without my device. The experience would have been better if more timely explanations were made or some kind of discount was offered due to the long wait for the tablet to be fixed. read more

Great service from Justin & Tyler. I highly recommend them. Repaired my husband Apple 10 phone quickly and efficient!

The company has very kind and attentive employees, but unfortunately I learned the hard way, that if you buy an used Apple phone from this place, and have trouble with iCloud on that device, that they cannot provide an acceptable proof of purchase. It's mostly Apple's strict policy that stinks, but I feel like all customers should know not to buy a device for this reason. read more

My computer hosts my job--I teach English to Chinese kids online almost everyday at 6am. This morning, luckily my day off, I wake up to a dark screen! After trying the usual things, I look on Yelp for help. The Fruit Fixed has a 5-star rating with over 100 reviews! (Yes, they earned it!) Brandon and Al worked on my computer for well over an hour--we think it's fixed, but my computer is showing signs of a motherboard issue. Guess what? No charge! I hope I don't need to return, but hands down, this was the best experience. Thanks, guys! I'll recommend Fruit Fixed! read more

I walked in with probably the worst situation that Fruit Fixed has ever experienced. And I was reassured it was the worst because all the staff agreed. Even with this daunting fear that I might have to purchase a new phone, I left my trust (and phone) with them. I handed them my phone shortly after noon. I checked in every couple of hours (I work down the street). Each visit I was impressed with the certainty and professionalism they projected. Justin was awesome and so were some of the younger guys working behind the counter. They did what they could do and more. Today, I have a phone that is like new after serious water damaged. Justin even recommended a great waterproof case. Excellent place! This is my second repair and I will always recommend them. They make me feel normal about continually destroying a really expensive accessory. Great work! read more

My screen has been broken for a few days and I didn't really have time to take it to the Apple Store to get fixed. I got off work late on Saturday evening and took a chance that they might be open based on a friends recommendation. To my surprise they are open until eight. When I walked in I was greeted very courteously buy one of their staff members. I told them about needing a new screen and asked if I could make an appointment for next week to come by and drop it off. Again to my surprise the staff member assured me it would only take about 20 minutes. In the course of waiting I saw him deal with five or six other customers promptly and knowledgeably. My phone was good to go in about 15 minutes and I was out the door. Excellent place highly recommend it! read more

After having another shop that isn't local "repair" our Toddler's cracked iPad screen, it was never the same. The iPad act as if it had a virus or something. It was just out of wack going to web pages on its on, stopping his Youtube videos without notice, etc. We decided to give this place a try based on a referral and WOW! Our Son's iPad is like new. They fixed it within hours and was very professional. The cost was reasonable as well! If we ever have issues with our other Apple devices, we will be back again! read more

Had my phone fixed here three times over the last few years. Good service, professional and competitive prices. Check em out.

I'm so upset that I shattered my phone screen! Especially because I'm usually pretty responsible with it AND I had an otter box case. I called a couple companies around town trying to compare prices and FF pretty much was the winner with price and location. Came in and there were 2 phones that were getting fixed. I waited about an hour which was fine because walking around Cary Town is fun. Brandon fixed my phone and he's super nice! Once I got my phone it looked brand new and I was out the door.
