This airline should be shut down. My trip from Dallas to Seattle was uneventful, however when I checked in at the Sea-Tac airport to go back to Dallas, the overweight blonde woman at the check in counter, acted annoyed by my presence and I found out later that she had sent my bag to Detroit in someone else's name. I've never been to Detroit, I don't have a last name even remotely similar to the name she tagged my bag under. Seriously her carelessness is unacceptable. There are thousands of people desperate for jobs, who would not be so flippant with people's belongings. Now, on to the flight portion. It was a 6:15 am take-off in Seattle and it was snowing. It took forever to get boarded, and one of the flight attendants was screaming at another one, and was clearly frustrated. She also could use some extra training. Finally, we were told it would be 20 minutes to de-ice the plane. Now, it is not the airlines fault that a couple with in infant totally freaked out after 15 minutes, started a fight with the flight attendants and demanded to get off the plane, then changed their mind and wanted to stay, and ultimately then decided to get off the plane again.... HOWEVER, again they could have handled the situation better. If someone is aggressive and screaming about getting off the plane - freaking get them off the plane and let's move on. I missed my connecting flight by 10 minutes even though the flight attendants said they were holding the plane for us, and had to be rebooked on a later flight. I had payed extra for "STRETCH" seating on the flight I missed through no fault of my own. They announced in Denver that they had STRETCH seating available... I take my receipt up to the counter, explain what happened and asked if they can switch my STRETCH seating to the new plane since it was available. Frontier employee: "NOPE!" Me: "*blank stare*" Frontier employee: "Not unless you want to pay for it." .... Seriously, don't fly this airline. They treat customers as if you're inconveniencing them. Then, the crew for the last flight was not at the airport when the flight was supposed to take off. When I *FINALLY* landed, I discovered what the witch at the SEA-TAC airport had done, after my bag didn't come with me. They called last night to say that they had my bag back in Dallas, and would be delivering it last night. SURPRISE- no bag. So I figured, maybe today they'll deliver it. So far, no luck. And when you attempt to call the number given by Frontier, it rings and rings and rings, and then tells you their hours of operation which I am in, and asks you to leave a message and someone will call you back. I've called 3 times, and not been able to get ahold of anyone or have anyone call me back. Trying to get a refund for the stretch seating was a nightmare. They put me on hold for 20 minutes and then came back and said their system was down and could they just trust that they would process it in 5-10 business days. I pretty much laughed in the guys face. No, after what your airline has put me through, I don't trust you. 20 more minutes and I got a "confirmation code." .....
People, do NOT read the few good reviews here and think "Oh, i'll be fine." You might be fine for one flight... but their inefficiency and lack of customer service will end up screwing you over. If there was ever an airline who deserved to go out of business, it is this one. Southwest airlines is around the same price, and I've flown them for YEARS without ever having lost a bag, or being treated the way I was by Frontier staff at the airports, baggage claims, AND their call centers. read more
