    Ciao!!

So much fun!! Way too much fun. Surprised 2 of my favorite people for their birthdays by flying them both up on a heli. The hardest part was pulling off the surprise: with dates and all. Planning was seamless ( minus the phone tags!) but they are super friendly! Our chopper didn't take off till way after 12:30 pm. Our check in was 11:40 am. Jean Pierre was our pilot if I recall. He was a funny French pilot , heavy French accent. Loves to fly. Take off was super shaky due to air traffic and how many planes, choppers were up in the sky. Sunny seattle days does that to you. The air traffic was beyond our control. Super choppy ride all around, our pilot pulled some good tricks to keep us safe. Didn't get to go close to space needle either due to air traffic. Large planes cause a lot of air waves, our little chopper was shaking like a salt shaker. Overall, we were glad to landed back. And said never again :P. Some of us were thinking about all the very recent chopper crashes while we were in the air. Not me though. Sad part for me I lost my phone after. iCloud never got updates and lost all my cinematic shots!! Whomp. Thought about trying back but it's kinda expensive.. and the shaking from the ride still haunts me. Glad I did it! I've done these Heli tours everywhere but first in Seattle! Also the most choppiest!

I purchased a Groupon deal for a 20-minute helicopter tour for my husbands birthday and he absolutely loved it. Our pilot, Dallas, made the process look so easy - from start to finish. It was a smooth ride and smooth landing. She pointed out landmarks while we were up in the air as well. She is extremely knowledgeable and even explained the mechanics involved in flying a helicopter as it is something that always interested my husband. Excellent tour, well worth it and we'll definitely be back!

Scheduled with the company and was called at 8 PM the day before my scheduled flight the next day at 12 PM and was told we need to push it back to 2 PM due to maintenance. Commuted 2+ hours and arrived early since they asked we be 15 minutes early. As we pull into the parking lot we see a text come in stating that our flight was canceled. We give them a call as we are sitting in the parking lot, mind you it's now 1:30ish, and they mention that the maintenance is not finished and they now need to push it back until 5PM or later. It was my significant others birthday and we had other plans for the evening so it was not an option. We explained that we commuted, and our whole day was basically wasted since we were not able to get on. The lady speaking to us kept laughing or smirking and making certain comments that showed no sympathy nor respect. I am so confused on all of the other good reviews I am seeing; as this company does not appear professional nor legitimate. The area itself is very sketchy and I am now seeing multiple bad reviews. Oh and accordingly to the women, they only have one helicopter running for this company but is shown multiple when looking at pictures. Their website is also sketchy and not accessible. Please save your time and go somewhere else.

Dallas was a sharp and experienced pilot, what an amazing experience this was, the company was very straightforward and simple. Pricing was very reasonable, We took the Alpha tour which covered Seattle, Definitely recommend 10/10.

On March 3rd I booked a flight lesson for today, Saturday April 2nd at 1pm. I sent a text to the number they used to send me my original confirmation this morning but didn't get a response prior to my departure time (I live an hour away and I showed up 30 minutes early because if your late and they have to reschedule there's a $50 fee) when I arrive, the guy (didn't catch his name) asked me if anyone had confirmed my flight. I explained that I had a confirmation number and showed him the text messages. He pulls up the schedule and the time slot I have is double booked with the only pilot who is capable of doing the flight lesson. After waiting around for 20 minutes or so he apologizes and says we have to reschedule. My first available day to reschedule is May 7th. $15 in gas 2 hours in traffic I'm excited to fly still so it's not a huge deal, I'm only writing this review for transparency and so there is a record of what happened if I show up on the 7th and get the run around. The guy I spoke with seemed genuine so I believe it was a clerical error but it does bother me no one responded to any of my texts considering that he opened their text services on his computer in front of me to send the new confirmation. I will update this review on May 7th

What an experience. My group of friends and I stopped by Helicopters NorthWest for a Charlie tour early June. To be honest, we were kind of surprised by the cheap rates.. Now, I'm not one to usually go out of my way to put a review on Yelp, but Nathan (our pilot) was just so amazing I had to. Nathan was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the flight -- especially with the geographical and historical knowledge! He made my group feel extremely welcomed and we will continue referring friends over! I kid you not, you will NOT regret booking with this amazing man!

Wow! Seriously the highlight of our Seattle trip! We came to Seattle from Tampa, FL to visit our daughter Kendall who recently moved there. She treated us to a Groupon ride at Helicopters Northwest, and I'm glad she pushed us to do this. I had a small fear of Helicopters after a bad weather ride in Hawaii 30 years ago on our Honeymoon, and I swore I would never do that again. Well, I did, and it was worth every minute! Our tour guide/Pilot was Truman Triple, easy name to remember, and he was so nice and informative! It was raining, but we didn't care. The turn around the Space Needle was priceless! Saw the homes of Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. I wonder if they borrow cups of sugar from each other? lol Beautiful scenery! Truly an experience to remember! Thanks, Helicopters Northwest! We will try to do it again next year for our annual Seattle visit!

Awesome, worth every single penny paid for it, we got it through groupon and they offered us another 10 mins for 50$ which we took it. The pilot was great, he was informative and explained lots of things and guided us to most of the attractions that you cannot see from ground. The most shocking part for me was how close we couldn't fly next to the space needle, that was awesome.

One of the best experiences of all time! I bought this for a birthday surprise for my wife and boy did she love it. Barry was our pilot, he was super laid back and friendly. We came at the perfect time where the sun was just shinning. This by far one of the most exhilarating kind of scary experiences for both of us. 20mins was just enough to go around Seattle area. We saw where Bill Gates home is from birds eye view, the beautiful houses at Merced island, huskies Stadium, space needle, downtown seattle great wheel, I mean I can go on and on, the floating Bridges (I-90 and 520 bridge) we did get a little turbulence but not that crazy. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to see the beauty from ariel view. We will come again. You have to meet their weight maximum and not go over. Helicopter seats 4 comfortably that's including pilot. For best picture and video sit up front and enjoy the ride! You know we did!

I did this tour as a birthday gift for my dad. I purchased 20 minutes through Groupon but when we got there we paid for an extra 10 minutes. I'm glad we did because the time starts from when they start the engines to when the engines stop. IT IS NOT time in the air. Judt a warning for those thinking about going. The tour was amazing, we went over the lake to Bellevue then North to Shoreline area and cruised down the Seattle waterfront until we hit Downtown. We circled the Space Needle and then flew over both Downtown Stadiums on our way back to Boeing Field. Sitting up front is definitely the best option because you really get a clear view of everything. I took lots of pictures and was really thrilled with the whole experience. Wait for a Groupon because they are too expensive otherwise.

Such an awesome experience - for tourists or Washington natives! I purchased the Charlie Tour for my stepdad, sister, and I for my stepdad's birthday. I was prepared to pay like $400 as is listed on their website, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got the courtesy call the day before and they let me know it was only going to be like half that. They gave me the Groupon rate without me even asking or buying a Groupon! Our pilot, Ben, was awesome. He was super nice and gave a great tour with lots of cool information. I definitely recommend the Charlie Tour if you're going to do a tour with Helicopters Northwest (not sure why you wouldn't choose them!) because you get to see SO much. It's awesome seeing cool Seattle things from a brand new perspective! Absolutely no complaints and was an awesome experience - and my stepdad LOVED it. Thank you guys for helping me make his birthday amazing!

THIS IS A MUST when visiting Seattle. Me and my boys had such a great time on our helicopter ride. We had Stephan taking us up and showing us around. Try to find a Groupon special for this place. It's definitely worth it and it's also worth paying the extra $60 for 15 more added minutes. It was an amazing experience and I have told pretty much everyone about it and said they should do this. It was awesome seeing the city from a totally different view point. If Stephan is there...make sure to ask for him. He was great!!!

Deardra is awesome! Will be coming back with my dad & will request her. I'd do the Charlie tour (40 min) over the 20 minute flights--although, if your only goal is to see the space needle then that'll probably be enough for you. I wanted to see the mountains & Snoqualmie falls!

We got stuck in Seattle and missed our original transportation by car and ferry but Friday Harbor Seaplanes came to our rescue. Michelle was absolutely amazing and got us booked on the first flight out the following morning so we didn't waste another moment of our trip. She arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the hotel we booked which was also quite the task as many hotels were completely booked up but we finally found one and Friday Harbor Seaplanes accommodated us and got us to the airport and flew us in to Orcas Island. I was really impressed by our pilot and how well he flew the plane. I was a bit nervous and I tend to get motion sickness and he made the flight very enjoyable and even checked in with me during the flight to see how I was feeling.
