There was a complete lack of basic manners--no greeting, no courtesy, just an overall negative attitude that made the interaction uncomfortable. Customer service should at least include basic respect and professionalism, and unfortunately that was completely missing here. Because of this experience, I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place to others.

Day's later- I decided to take it a step further. I noticed we lived not that far off the flight path- and thought "how cool would it be if I made a GIANT sign on the roof of our home, then got to fly over it...?" I called and asked Seattle HeliTours- please please can you fly over my home... they called me back with a YES! This part may make you ill; the day before I bought 4' Blue Painters Tape went on the roof and taped a huge I LOVE YOU. The day of the flight the pilot maintained the surprise for my boyfriend; they were professional, kins, bend over backwards kind of folks! We did 2 circles around the house and my Boyfriends Birthday was a success as was his surprise! The views, the helicopter, the pilot everything was an experience of a lifetime.

We got stuck in Seattle and missed our original transportation by car and ferry but Friday Harbor Seaplanes came to our rescue. Michelle was absolutely amazing and got us booked on the first flight out the following morning so we didn't waste another moment of our trip. She arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the hotel we booked which was also quite the task as many hotels were completely booked up but we finally found one and Friday Harbor Seaplanes accommodated us and got us to the airport and flew us in to Orcas Island. I was really impressed by our pilot and how well he flew the plane. I was a bit nervous and I tend to get motion sickness and he made the flight very enjoyable and even checked in with me during the flight to see how I was feeling. I felt he took slight turns a bit more slow and careful with me in mind and it was very appreciated. My friend also had her baggage delayed by Delta Airlines for 2 days and Michelle was so kind to try and help us by arranging for the airport to deliver the luggage to them so they could bring it to the Friday Harbor dock on one of their daily flights. Unfortunately Delta was being lame and they wouldn't do it, but the fact that Friday Harbor Seaplanes was willing to help us went above and beyond our expectations. What amazing customer service! I hope to one day visit the islands again and without a doubt I will use Friday Harbor Seaplanes again. They treated us like family!! Thank you! I wholeheartedly recommend this business. They are all great people and do an excellent job!

We were flying low enough to see the scenery of the area including a good look at the Seattle skyline. There were some clouds so the mountain view was not as clear as it would be on a sunny day. Didn't really matter since there was so much else to see. Shane was the pilot both flights and he is very experienced and safety conscious. He also knows a tremendous amount about the area. That was an added bonus. Highly recommend this method of travel!

Jay gave us the choice of where we wanted to fly, it was a great evening flight where he flew to see Mt. Rainier, Mt Adams and Mt St. Helen. Then he flew us to Bellevue circled around the city and headed to the Space Needle. It was unbelievable how close he flew to the Space Needle and downtown Seattle. He then headed down the straits back to Gig Harbor, explaining all the sights along the way. He then circled around Fox Island did a great landing at the airport for a great flight. It will be a birthday I will never forget.

First they rescheduled us from Friday to Saturday but with a week's notice, that was fine. Then they rescheduled us to a week later because the pilot was out of the country. The day of our ride, they texted me two hours before our flight to say the pilot was stranded in Spain and they had to cancel. I was shocked that they didn't know earlier than two hours before our flight that the pilot wasn't available. They offered a discount to reschedule, but by that time I was so fed up trying to work with them that I cancelled and my husband's 80th birthday gift from me was completely spoiled.

He was talkative friendly and professional. The customers were informed of everything we did along the way which was super cool. We even got to help fill the balloon before taking off. This is not a thrill ride so if you are expecting to be scared - don't worry about it and just do it! The champagne and chocolate at the end was also awesome. I booked Route C: The Cascade Mountains, Tiger Mountain, Cougar Mountain, Snoqualmie Falls, VMAC, Downtown Bellevue, Lake Washington, Medina Homes, the Space Needle, Downtown Seattle, Century Link Stadium, T-Mobile Park, and the Puget Sound. I asked him if he could take me to Auburn to get my hair blown out. He should have known something was up because I don't get my hair done....ever! When we drove near the Auburn Municipal Airport he said, "There's nothing back here but helicopters!". I told him, "Good thing because one of those is ours!" It was a great surprise and it just kept going up from there! Our pilot Nate, went through some safety measures and got us strapped in, and off we went. My husband had the biggest smile...and so did I. I was a little worried about motion sickness. I had taken a motion sickness pill about half an hour before, but it didn't feel like anything I imagined, dang anxieties! It was light and the only feeling I had was g-force every once in a while. The scenery was beautiful and the ride was smooth. Nate tried to give us information about the various places we were passing but my husband helped build most of everything he pointed out. We circled and hovered near the Space Needle and we could see the people inside pointing. It was awesome! We also had a really great shot of the mountain. Although I enjoyed flying over the buildings, the nature route was my favorite. The waterfall was breathtaking and we could see our shadow on the ground. It made for a cool photo. Zipping near the trees really gave us a sense of how fast we were going. I wish we could have gone further and flown for longer, but it had to come to an end. At least for now. This was a day we will never forget! Thank you for making our birthdays memorable, Nate! ​

10/10 Hands down the most fun I have ever had in my entire life!…read more I took the girl of my dreams here on a surprise second date, and Craig, our pilot, after a friendly dose of teasing me for choosing such an insane second date, gave us a flight that noone will ever truly comprehend. There is zero chance a cooler or better pilot exists! Imagine a combination of Pete Mitchell, Luke Skywalker, and your brother-in-law that the whole family loves, and that's Craig. His flying skills are UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I can't stress that enough.... UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! I have no idea how I got so lucky to be taken on such an incredible flight performance. Simply dazzling, I will tell this story for decades!! A helicopter ride in and of itself is incredible but Craig took us on a scene from an action movie. That was absolutely a highlight of my life. I can only speak for myself, but judging by my date's face the whole ride, I can confidently say she would say something similar. Thank you Craig, I appreciate that more than you will ever know!

Flying in an open cockpit plane is even more amazing. If you ever get the chance to do it, don't hesitate. I have also always wanted to do aerobatics, but have never had the opportunity. Imagine how thrilled I was to find out I could take off in an open cockpit plane and not only get to finally do a loop, but to be able to stand on the wing while we did it! #$@%^@#! Phil meticulously plans every detail of the trip, from the best places to stay to recover from jet lag before the safari, to every transfer. You are never left wondering where to go or if someone will be there to meet you. The camps he chooses are small and personal, where you are taken care of and treated like family. The safari experience is second to none, with personal drivers and guides who are excellent, highly skilled, and knowledgeable. We didn't know anything about going on safari, and Phil build a custom trip that catered to exactly our personal travel style of going to some of the more off-the-beaten-path places with fewer tourists, but still lots of amazing experiences (we watched a family of elephants chase off a pair of male lions!). Everyone we met was on their 4th or 10th safari and when they found out we'd never been before, they'd always ask, "So how did you even find this place?" Also I had no idea you could have a vacation with this much adventure and yet zero stress. Having Phil take care of everything and getting it all arranged for and paid in advance took a HUGE load off of us, which was so great as we both have jobs where we typically do a lot of planning and project management. By taking care of that, Phil let us go on an exciting vacation where we actually got to RELAX. We took literally THOUSANDS of amazing photos, but here are just a couple fun ones I shot with my phone.
