Jerry is the most amazing tour guide and person that I had the pleasure of meeting today!!! Please take this tour --it was one of the best experiences that I have had in my life! Jerry is super knowledgeable and genuinely cares about people and his city! This was such a memorable experience for me and my daughter. I highly recommend!!

What a great tour of the Public Market. Our guide was Nola Wyse and she was amazing. Nola is both knowledgeable of Seattle and the Market. The locations on our tour were great and the food was terrific. I highly recommend experiencing Public Market with a tour. There is plenty of time to visit other vendors after your tour or to go back for a meal at one of the places on the tour.

They are finally re-opened and we were excited since we bought a Groupon over 1 year ago! It was pretty cool because not only did they honor our Groupon, they accommodate us for a non- regular time. We did the pike place tour and we were the only 2 people. We got there a little early but was welcomed by our excited guide, Marcia. We went through 11 places on our tour to sample food around pike place along with learning some interesting facts about the location. The samples were good and the experience was pretty fun. Marcia did a really good job telling us things about pike place that we never knew. It was also cool to see how she knows everyone and even had them interact with us along the way allowing them to tell us their stories. My only critique: I wish we had gone in reverse order because it would have been nice to end with desserts rather than start with them. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tour group with our amazing tour guide Jerry!!

Really good character, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Always looking for something new to do at every visit to new places!! Definitely recommend!!

I wanted a food/history tour so I took a chance on a Groupon of Show me Seattle. Our tour guide Bob was sooo great. He really knows his stuff on all things Seattle. He came prepared with hand sanitizer, napkins and wet wipes! It was a 2 hour tour but it didn't even feel like it since Bob made the tour fun! The samples were great as well. I ate breakfast before so the samples filled me up and I didn't have to eat lunch. It is a walking tour so bring your walking shoes and comfortable attire. Other than that I really enjoyed it! Thank you Show Me Seattle and Bob! You also get a 10% discount to use at the places you sample.

What a fabulous way to see Seattle !!! Our tour guide James Grindle did an amazing job showing us the city, explaining the deep history of Seattle, historic buildings, fun facts, pointing out names of trees, flowers, types of salmon & so much more on our 3 hour sightseeing tour. I travel a lot & have taken many tours & can honestly say, this was my favorite experience due to our tour guide, the history I learned & things that I saw. I fell in love with Seattle & what it has to offer. Thank James for your passion & amazing knowledge of the city.

I did this tour for the first time over 10 years ago and was pleased that it wasn't exactly the same places we stopped at before. Plus, it reminded me to go back and support businesses that I had forgotten about and to continue exploring the market and to come back often because this place is truly a gem and worthy of our support for being 100% local and run by small business owners. Today was a perfect afternoon well spent :-)

I realize folks are from all over and might not understand, but you can make it optional! It would have made me feel more comfortable in the group as a non-binary person.

Not only did we get to sample many different yummy "bites" within the market, we also got to learn about the rich history and culture of how the market came about. It gave me such a deeper respect for this place. Booking this tour is fairly easy to do online. On the day of you are to meet at the designated location to meet your guide. If there are any issues you can contact the owner Mark directly and they have a 100% money back if you're not satisfied. If this isn't good customer service then I don't know what is. Our guide for the day was Chip. Chip was friendly, funny, and engaging. You can tell he loves his job and is proud to share his knowledge about the market. He remembered all of our names and I felt this made it seem so much more personal than a tour. If there is a large group you will be provided audio headsets but since we were only a group of 6 that day we were able to hear him just fine without them. You can tell there has been a lot of thought put into this tour and I applaud the company for such a wonderful job well done. Not only were the bites we got to sample so delicious, they were a nice variety ranging from the the famous Pike Place Chowder to Elleno's Greek Yogurt to Texas BBQ to Mexican tacos to Paris-inspired crepes to fresh local and seasonal fruits, just to name a few. And let's talk about the servings. They feed a generous amount so that by the end of the tour we were actually full. Totally bang for your buck! This is a great activity for tourists and locals alike to spend an afternoon at the market. A nice plus is if you decide to come back and visit any of the merchants after the tour, you will receive a discount. If you're reading this then do not wait any longer! Go reserve a tour now! "Expectations- it's about comparison"…read more Now we have never been on a food tour before but some of our friends had been on one to Pikes Market but the tour our friends took turns out was not the one they thought they had tried last year and recommended to us. An honest mistake but was this a foretelling of what was to come? This walking food tour focused on Pike's Market and pretty much stayed in the area between Union all the way to Lenora St.. As you stroll through this historic waterfront area, our guide Jerry gave us many nuggets of trivia and information regarding the area both past and present. A highpoint of this tour (and the many competing tours in Seattle) is the food sampling from various shops in the market. From asian teas to samosas, from crumpets to chowder, from smoked salmon to pickle juice, from salmon burgers to gelato and more- this tour does give you a chance to sample the many edible delights of Pike's Market, and many are special samples you can only get on the tour. This tour offering was especially long, about 2.5 hours long. I understand most tours run about 1.5 hours long. I can't really say how this tour compares with others being offered but I would compare the samples being offered ( they can differ) and go with the one that has the goodies you'd like to try. We enjoyed this tour, our guide Jerry was a friendly, affable type of guy that made our "intimate" group of four enjoy our experience. The kicker for us was that we were able to use a group-on coupon so we only paid $29 per person instead of the usual $44. Because this is probably one of those kind of tours you would only go to once, I suggest you read the reviews (on Yelp of course) of the various companies, see if there are any discount coupons to be had, and make your choice. This company is one that should be kept in the mix as a possible choice.

Prepare to be amazed as you sit at the chef's counter in front of a blazing wood fired grill where Jason keeps up a fun and enlightening banter as he cooks up a multi course meal for you. Several appetizer courses are served up at the counter and then everyone moves to the dining room for the main courses and dessert. My husband and I were on the first of these events (unbeknownst to us when we signed up) and it went off flawlessly. This is an intimate event so we got to know our fellow diners which was fun too. The menu will vary for each event so don't know what you will have, but we enjoyed salmon tartar, oysters on the half shell, mushroom goat cheese bruschetta, roasted mussels with Merguez sausage, grilled salmon, pork roast and a delicious pear/apple dessert. My descriptions don't really do the menu justice because, after all, the guy cooking up this dinner is a James Beard and Food & Wine award winner. The "stump the chef" bit was fun where we selected an item at the Market for Jason to prepare that would be a surprise for him -- just to see what he would do with it. We chose goose eggs with the stipulation "you can't just scramble them". Jason sawed those raw eggs in half, stirred up a delicious truffle flan with the innards, and then baked it back in the egg shells. Creative and fun! This event (I can't just call it a tour and meal...) is a good value since you get the market tour (fun even for lifelong Seattleites), a cocktail before the meal and a couple of glasses of paired wine with the meal as well as a couple of really fun hours with Jason and his staff.
