Pike Place Market is always our go-to. And we always do the food tour when we're here. No two tours are ever the same -- so much history, so many stories. I've done it five or six times now and have never once had the same chef leading it. Only two stops were repeats... and that's because they're absolute icons.

I'm a Seattle native and my sister wanted to do a food tour. We had our tour on 3.1. With Chef Will(chef dimples)! It was the BEST two hours ever! We had a great group of people! The food was AMAZING,(even tho chef will probably tell you I thought differently) the portions were SO filling. I honestly can't wait to go on this tour again. I will for sure be requesting chef will when I bring my big group down for a visit. This tour was prompt and timely! And honestly a really good time! The fish toss was a my favorite!

Food, laughter, new friends & fun!

WOW! Everything about Eat Seattle Tours was exceptional. From the moment Chef Will arrived at the meeting spot on his scooter with a big smile and welcoming demeanor to our final stop at Fran's Chocolates and everything in between. This food tour rivals anything we've done in Paris, Madrid, Prague, Budapest, Dubrovnik and NYC. If you ever find yourself in Seattle, WA, you absolutely need to make this tour a top priority. It will be a definite highlight of your trip too!

First time ever doing a food tour and I absolutely loved it. Got a little history, lots of food and a great experience. We had Jonathan who was fantastic! He was so personable, really tried to get to know each member and was so accommodating to those with allergies. Seeing him interact with the tour stop employees and the amount of information he knew made it wonderful.

Went to the Pike Place Market food tour, and our guide Stone was so knowledgeable. He shared his experiences working with a few renowned chefs in several cities. Luckily, our group was small, so we were able to get to know each other more and had a really fun time together. The meeting place was outside of Simply Seattle store, and the tour was started on time. We sampled 9 different places and enjoyed all the food. My favorite was the meat pie from the Land of Origin. The avocado based spicy sauce was perfect with it! Definitely recommend the tour!

This was one of my all time favorite activities in all of my travels over the years! Our guide, Johnathan, was extremely friendly and personable. From the beginning, he asked all of our names and where we were from and continued to remember things about each of us through the whole time together - which was impressive! The tour moved at a perfect pace and it was amazing to skip the lines at every location. It was clear he had a good working relationship with all of the shops we stopped at. The shop owners seemed genuinely happy to have us! Now for the food - so many samples! It was at least a full meal worth of food. Also, he asked about food allergies and remembered those and had substitutions available at every stop! In total we stopped at 9 places and had about 16 samples. Our favorite was the cheese, the taco and the gelato! There was only one sample we didn't care for. Again, this was one of the best curated food experiences I have ever done and would do it again next time I came to town.

We were looking to find an easy way to explore pike place and try a variety of food they have while spending a short time in Seattle. The experience was way better than expected! We were guided by Chef Will who created a fun, educational and tasty experience. He even shared yummy recipes as he shared about the food we were eating and educated us on pike place. The food stops they had we're all solid. We had a hard time deciding our favorite dish! Highly recommend this tour. Great value

Loved this food tour of Pike Street Market with Chef Eric! All the food was amazing and Eric's commentary added immensely to the experience. His knowledge of Seattle history and the food scene made the tour come alive.

We just finished a wonderful tour with Jonathan! He has great energy and did a fantastic job choosing all the different places. Exploring the market and some of the behind the same stuff is so cool! I'd recommend if it all possible going on a weekday instead of a super busy weekend. I've done the tour both times, and enjoyed the slower paced weekday one better. I believe we went to 9 different stops, but we're able to taste several different things at some of the stops. Took some pics- hope you enjoy viewing our tasty bites as much as we enjoyed eating them! Great job Eat Seattle, and Jonathan!

We experienced the two-hour chef-guided tour of Pike Place Market today. Our chef was Chef Scott. Amazing! He was interesting, knew his stuff, VERY entertaining, and the 9 tastings we had were all fantastic. Thanks for a great tour, Scottie!

This was a pretty disappointing experience. I've done a food tour in every place I've visited. It's the perfect way to learn about a place while enjoying the food and drinks. This was the least enjoyable of the 15 I've done. It was also NOT worth the money. I was in Seattle for a teacher conference and the conference organizers put together private tours -- a food tour one day and a coffee tour the other. You can see the descriptions of the tours in my photos. (FYI...The photos are in a weird order for some reason.) No where does it say that the food portions will be small but my goodness were they all small. I've never experienced a tour in which I left hungry but on both of these I did. I also wish I had known that no water would be available on the tours. I was so thirsty the whole time. I'm used to sitting down and enjoying the food but that didn't happen here. I get that it's a different setting than a lot of places but we did sit down at Indi so we could have gotten some water there. An add-on for alcohol was offered on the food tour for $17. I opted not to get it and I'm so glad that I didn't! It was for one stop on the tour. I'm used to getting decent size drink samples at every stop so that would have disappointed me. But here's the kicker...I ended up ordering the same drink as people got with the add-on for the tour and mine was cheaper!! The coffee tour was INCREDIBLY disappointing. While our tour guide was knowledgeable about the city, the only time I was told anything about the coffee was at the first stop. And every coffee seemed to be the same. Absolutely nothing unique about them. No pour overs. Nothing iced. It should have been called a pastry tour and not a coffee tour. We had more pastries than we did coffee. I was also disappointed because I got two of the exact same food samples as I did on the food tour. It would be nice if pre-planned private tours that are scheduled by the same group get to experience unique offerings. A very frustrating thing about the coffee tour was that we stopped at an Ethiopian stand and the lady working had no idea we were supposed to be there so she didn't have anything prepared. So I essentially paid for something I didn't receive! Our tour ended 20 minutes before our scheduled end time. I paid more for the coffee tour yet received a lot less. I was so hungry and in need of caffeine when I was done that I ended up buying a latte from Ghost Alley Espresso and chowder from Pike Place Chowder.

Not only did we get to sample many different yummy "bites" within the market, we also got to learn about the rich history and culture of how the market came about. It gave me such a deeper respect for this place. Booking this tour is fairly easy to do online. On the day of you are to meet at the designated location to meet your guide. If there are any issues you can contact the owner Mark directly and they have a 100% money back if you're not satisfied. If this isn't good customer service then I don't know what is. Our guide for the day was Chip. Chip was friendly, funny, and engaging. You can tell he loves his job and is proud to share his knowledge about the market. He remembered all of our names and I felt this made it seem so much more personal than a tour. If there is a large group you will be provided audio headsets but since we were only a group of 6 that day we were able to hear him just fine without them. You can tell there has been a lot of thought put into this tour and I applaud the company for such a wonderful job well done. Not only were the bites we got to sample so delicious, they were a nice variety ranging from the the famous Pike Place Chowder to Elleno's Greek Yogurt to Texas BBQ to Mexican tacos to Paris-inspired crepes to fresh local and seasonal fruits, just to name a few. And let's talk about the servings. They feed a generous amount so that by the end of the tour we were actually full. Totally bang for your buck! This is a great activity for tourists and locals alike to spend an afternoon at the market. A nice plus is if you decide to come back and visit any of the merchants after the tour, you will receive a discount. If you're reading this then do not wait any longer! Go reserve a tour now! "Expectations- it's about comparison"…read more Now we have never been on a food tour before but some of our friends had been on one to Pikes Market but the tour our friends took turns out was not the one they thought they had tried last year and recommended to us. An honest mistake but was this a foretelling of what was to come? This walking food tour focused on Pike's Market and pretty much stayed in the area between Union all the way to Lenora St.. As you stroll through this historic waterfront area, our guide Jerry gave us many nuggets of trivia and information regarding the area both past and present. A highpoint of this tour (and the many competing tours in Seattle) is the food sampling from various shops in the market. From asian teas to samosas, from crumpets to chowder, from smoked salmon to pickle juice, from salmon burgers to gelato and more- this tour does give you a chance to sample the many edible delights of Pike's Market, and many are special samples you can only get on the tour. This tour offering was especially long, about 2.5 hours long. I understand most tours run about 1.5 hours long. I can't really say how this tour compares with others being offered but I would compare the samples being offered ( they can differ) and go with the one that has the goodies you'd like to try. We enjoyed this tour, our guide Jerry was a friendly, affable type of guy that made our "intimate" group of four enjoy our experience. The kicker for us was that we were able to use a group-on coupon so we only paid $29 per person instead of the usual $44. Because this is probably one of those kind of tours you would only go to once, I suggest you read the reviews (on Yelp of course) of the various companies, see if there are any discount coupons to be had, and make your choice. This company is one that should be kept in the mix as a possible choice.
