Mike led us through the Seattle Underground with the energy of a caffeinated raccoon and total comedic genius. He made damp, historic rubble feel like a comedy club set. When a heavily drugged-out lady set up shop in our path and decided to urinate right there, Mike flipped from "funny history guide" to "expert crisis manager" instantly. Interesting to know how Seattle got its Beneath the Streets. This tour is not all underground. It tells a story of Seattle and goes above ground to highlight those points. (Some complain but I would rather see what the tour guide is talking about than to try to invent the building in my head). It is a lot of stairs for those with mobility problems. As a visitor, I had subscribed to many stereotypical ideas re: Seattle, mainly just coffee, and was happy to "get to know her better" and find out the interesting real-deal tidbits. Residents and tourists would both benefit from checking into this gem in their backyard for the fun facts. One of the best parts of going on this tour at the beginning was the people that take care of you and so you tickets and the guide. They put together a story that you can take Home with you and explain to people what you saw. There's many ways to understand the history of Seattle. But to hear it from someone who's invested in learning the little details that make you go wow then this is the group. I learned so much about the history of Seattle during this tour lead by Richard. You start at 102 Cherry Street at the basement entrance. You will see the signs. There's a gift shop down there, and restrooms. You'll start there, but get lead back out through the streets, and then back down underground a couple of times. The last two areas did have a stuffy smell, but you're not down there for long. Oh and watch out for Richard, he's a jokester:P read more

We had an amazing time on this tour! Our tour guide, Sarah, was awesome. They were knowledgeable, funny, engaging and lead an amazing tour the day we went. I wish we would have done this tour a long time ago! After living in Seattle over 6 years, there was so much I did not know about this city that I learned on this tour. You learn a bit about how Seattle started as a city, major events of Seattle's past and then of course, all about the "tunnels" under Seattle. The tour takes about an hour and does require walking up and down a few flights of stairs as well as walking outside down a few blocks. Even the rainy day we went though this really was not an issue as you aren't outside for too long. We went through 2 or 3 different sections of the Seattle underground areas and it was really fascinating to see the way the city was built up. Whether you are a local or from out of town this is a great tour to take! read more

I don't want to name the tour guide because he was amazing. This isn't about the tour guide .. the staff is so nice so friendly so knowledge. The tour has information that's interesting all about the history of Seattle and the great fire but that where it ends. The tunnels were suppose to be interesting and yet it was the most boring part of this tour. I thought it was suppose to be cool and it was like being in the basement level / bottom parking garage of a building. There was nothing cool or interesting in these tunnels. Here is a tip remove the social distance stickers from the floor. Covid is over and I'm suppose to be in a location from The past. I'm not a time traveler from the future who has come across the ruins of a building in late 2020 wondering why everyone had to distance themselves and use so much sanitizer. Wouldn't recommend save the money do something else. I give it 3 stars because again the staff was so nice. read more
