This is a low-coster. It is disingenuous to expect full-price service. Your gates WILL be in the farthest corners of the airport. You will be pestered with emails suggesting to pay for this and that in advance to make your trip more pleasant or predictable. You MAY be asked to prove that your hand luggage fits in their size bins (there were two next to my gate with stern warnings, so you can try in advance). You CAN pay through the app in the airport if you need to convert your personal item into a carry-on but that will eat some of the savings. The seats do not tilt; because of that the seating area is actually wider and pant size 42 man comfortably fits with no intrusion to the neighboring space. IMHO 44 should fit too. Your flight crew WILL be nice and bottomless tea or coffee will be 4 bucks. The lavatory is, probably, not cleaned between the flights. I was first and the seat was already "sprinkled" and one of two rolls of toilet paper was already down to the bare core. Short delays are very common with Frontier (at least on LAX-SEA they are) but usually they recover most of it through the flight. My flight left 20 minutes late but arrived on-time. If you fly with just the "personal item" AKA small backpack 18x14x8", accept the toilet situation (I am not saying that they never clean, only that on my flight it was not - for sure), and OK with the need to walk / take a free shuttle from the gate to the airplane, you will save 35%. If you have carry on, you will save ~15%, and if you are flexible with your travel dates, you will fly half-price comparing to the major airlines. The caveat is the usual - no changes and no upgrades of anything. read more

I would absolutely not recommend this airline Don't waste your money!!! Seats are horrible you pay for every little thing and you must use your credit or debit card and then they asked for a tip on that thing you pay for everything you get . Probably one of the worst airlines you could choose.! my husband and I bought plane tickets prior to going and they sat us in different areas when we bought the tickets together no help when getting things done. if you want your boarding pass printed, you have to pay $25 each. read more

I flew from LAs Vegas to Seattle today on flight number 2407. The flight attendants were, by far, the most unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude attendants I have ever encountered. There was a woman and a man who were in the back of the plane where the restrooms are. Before the flight even took off, the woman said to her male coworker that "the higher ups" don't like her and that's why she's in the back. They then continued talking extremely loudly to the extent that I and several people seated near me thought the conversation was coming out of the overhead speakers. Their conversations consisted of a kind of flirty exchange where the woman was sharing her entire dating life, stories about being drunk and even saying that she has 6 months clean. They continued talking extremely loudly despite multiple passengers looking back and questioning how they could be so unaware. The plane was extremely quiet as many people were returning from Las Vegas so extremely tired and trying to nap. After about 45 minutes, I went to the bathroom near them and politely asked if they realized that the whole back half of the plane e could hear their entire conversation. The response was that this is how they keep themselves awake on the job and began laughing and exchanging undermining and outwardly rude glances. I went back to my seat and about 10 minutes later, a man who was two rows from the back of the plane stood up and asked something similar to the following...would you guys mind keeping it down? We have spent the entire time on this flight listening to your discussions about inappropriate subjects and we would appreciate it if you would remain professional and spare us the details of your personal lives. They laughed and did not respond at which point t he said, "no wonder the higher up's don't like you." They continued to converse loudly and snicker about the passengers requests. At one point a different flight attendant approached them and we thought she would be asking them to quiet down but within moments she was laughing and clearly not informing them that they were out of line. At this time, I was filming and attempting to Document the situation. The woman then approached my seat and demanded that I stop recording. She had a red card and said if I did not stop recording she would hand the red card and I would be met by the police upon landing. When I tried to explain the situation, she said that she was unaware of that and when I asked for a supervisor, she stated the there was no supervisor on board and reminded me that it is against privacy rules to Record anyone without their permission. Overall, this was the worst flight I have ever experienced. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was astounding. I will never fly with Frontier again. read more

I signed up for Frontier's Elite Status Challenge expecting better service, but got zero transparency, no real support, and no accountability. The non-refundable terms were buried in fine print, and once they had my money, there was no way to cancel or talk to anyone who could help. Chat and phone support are useless, just scripted responses and no solutions. This airline hides behind policies instead of treating customers with respect. Easily one of the most frustrating travel experiences I've had. I'll never fly Frontier again. read more

I HATE Frontier Airlines. This was a last minute trip due to my Aunt passing away. I was so relieved to find a flight from Seattle to Texas for $200, three hour layover going and coming back. Six hours total layover time. For the discount we were willing to do the layover. Spoiler alert!!!! Yes, this discount airfare is to good to be true :( Alaska airlines was priced at $300 round trip non-stop. We are a family of four, choosing Frontier Airlines initially saved me $400... I thanked God for covering my family during our time of loss. The devil heard our praises and got busy. The airfare is a bate to scam you as soon as you finalize your ticket. We had to pay $100 each to take our backpacks on this flight because the top strap of our backpacks, one of the backpacks shown in the picture was over the top of the box, that your bag is sized in. The manager shown in the picture initially said the bag needed to fit in the box, once I got the bag in the box the manager said we needed to pay $100 for the backpacks, due to the strap not being in the box. This airline is the devil :(... If you feel good about finding an affordable flight with Frontier Airlines, do note that if you're bring anything other than yourself that you did not pay additional for, Satan's little helpers will find away to scam you out of more money to accommodate the price of the airfare. I still ended up paying $300 per person for a flight with six hours of layover time. I will not make this mistake again! read more

I wish I could've rated it a zero but I might as well as rated a one this airline is making me really mad and I agree that they should give us our money back. We have to pay for our carry-on bags for no reason and I think that it should be fair because their airline is not influence like their maintenance is absolutely terrible I want my money back with a voucher and a free airline ticket. read more

DON'T RISK IT. Ive had bad airline experiences before, but using frontier here was BY FAR the worst. The policies and behavior this airline and its employees have should be borderline illegal. My 7pm sunday flight from Sea to Phx was 1st delayed an hour for "maintenance". Then another hour. Then another. Then finally it was cancelled at 10pm. During this 4 hour span, gate workers gave absolutely no announcements, explanations, updates, or apologies to the packed terminal. The only updates given were through their website which just said "delayed" We were then forced to wait 30 mins in line to talk to gate workers to transfer flights & get hotels. After explaining i had purchased 3rd party flight insurance (offered directly on Frontier's website during their checkout), the employee says he's never heard of it or the insurer, but that he'd speak to his manager. He assured me 100% my flight & hotel would be comped and provided at no charge, but that i must wait for an email voucher that would be sent out after everyone was dealt with. About 30 other people were told the same. We all wait 30 mins before all the gate employees simply grab their stuff and leave in a group without a word or update. I and some others chase them down and ask whats going on. They say the email will be sent in a few mins and it will handle everything. Me and the 30 other people wait another 30 mins till 12am before we all finally realize no email is being sent, and that we were completely lied to. I check all Frontier gates and their check in booths, and literally every Frintier employee in the airport had left. I check Frontie's next available flights: 1 flight at 8pm the next day with an 8+ hour layover in nevada, and no other options. Are you kidding me???? Thank god i got 3rd party insurance, and was able to book an Alaska flight for 6am that morning. I then drastically overpay on the worst motel ive ever stayed at (it was close, one of the cheapest, and i was only staying 5 hours) before coming back in the morning. STILL NOT A SINGLE FRONTIER EMPLOYEE IN THE AIRPORT from 5:30am-7am, so I'm forced to call customer service after my flight. On the phone, i reach the loudest indian call center i have spoken to. At least 8 other phone calls can be heard in the background. I tell her my experience and how a comped hotel was promised to me, only for her to offer a $50 coupon for one of their future flights. I press her about my hotel fees and the wasted time/effort they'd caused me, only for her to try to BLAME ME. she said it was MY mistake since i didnt call before my flight to handle this. They seriously expected me to call and deal with this between 12am-7am the monday morning of my 7am flight after a weekend trip and THEM canceling my flight before purposely LYING TO ME saying theyd contact me AND wasting my time while completely ignoring me. I told her that her flight coupon is complete garbage and to keep it, since i will never fly with them again. Lesson learned: cheap airlines are NEVER worth it. If you still risk it, 110% get the 3rd party cancelation insurance. read more

You people suck‼ Constant rescheduling of flights, canceling flights on individuals, inconveniencing travelers. Don't offer any type of solutions, or compensation for your stupidities and lack of customer service. Travelers need to either return to work or loved ones waiting at home. Long waits on layovers are way too long, it's a waste of time for everyone. Will not be traveling frontier ever again read more

Me and my friend are extremely upset because she had a last flight from Seattle to San Diego, and Frontier closed the door on the last four passengers in line. The supervisor(Yele) couldn't explain why they did this, and now my friend has to buy a new ticket. She's going to sleep in the airport, and our plans for tomorrow are ruined. Frontier needs to explain why they closed the door with only four passengers left to board, and they should refund the ticket cost. This is absolutely unacceptable! Finally, they fixed the issue (less than 12 hours) and gave her good rewards. It's just stressful and annoying to book a new flight on a short time. read more

This airline let me stranded without compensation. Arguments between myself and frontier airline below before small claim court hearing. "Our records indicate you boarded flight 2580 from PDX-PHX, and when arriving in PHX, notification was sent at 3:56am MST notifying you flight 2246 was cancelled due to maintenance. " The statement above is untrue. According to email sent from Frontier Airline at 1:25 AM, flight 2246 was reaching capacity. Nowhere in any frontier airline email contain the word "cancellation due to maintenance". This is a breach of contract by lying to the customer, therefore the contract is voided. All evidence are shown in the images attached with this message. "As a customer service gesture for the inconvenience, all passengers were issued $100 travel vouchers and offered to be rebooked on the next available Frontier flight, or to be issued a refund. Notification to the cancellation as well as for action to be taken was sent to xxx@GMAIL.COMand the phone number on file. No action was taken by you to be rebooked or refunded. As no action was taken, a refund of $52.23 which includes the impacted segment and the portion of the seat fee purchased on April 17, 2024 back to the MasterCard used at purchase ending in x5902. Refunds for completed segments would not be issued under the Contract." This is my first time ever flying Frontier Airline. I was exhausted due to an unexpected 2 1/2 hour delay in the first segment of the Frontier Airline flight, arriving at 2:38 am. There are many people resting and sleeping on the ground like myself in the waiting area. Due to other passengers' noise (snoring sounds), I put on my earplug and therefore did not hear the text message immediately at 3:56 am. I took take action immediately, around 6 AM when I woke up, according to email link to rebook or refund provided from your airline. However, the email link leads to nowhere (and still is as of 4/16/24). Video clip of such failure from your airline included below. I told Frontier Airline attendant (shown in attached pictures) about my need to catch my connecting flight with Spirit Airline at 2 PM. She said, there is no option for Frontier Airline to reroute me to catch that connection flight. She told me that frontier airline cannot fly me back to my origination city, pdx, either. That's why I purchased a same day Alaska airline ticket flying me back to Pdx more than $400 one way. All of my statements above have documentation for support. Out of 300 flights at Phoenix Arizona airport on the date on my flight, there is only one flight was canceled, which was mine (evidence shown in the picture of below). This proves your airline's substandard flight service. Lack of option to compensate for your substandard flight, either by returning the customer back to origination point or rerouting to catch connection flight proved your substandard customer service. I think your company will have issue in justifying to the judge the harsh customer contract, out of the normal range for airline industry and out of range for a layman's expectation. Therefore, I will let the judges decide who is more reasonable. In addition, prior to the court date, I plan to disseminate my evidence, including your response throughout social media account to let others know about the standard practice of your company, including Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others. It is simply a cut and paste effort for me. If I happen to win this case, I will provide instruction on social media on how to file such a claim for other people to emulate. See you in court. I've never been treated so poorly by an airline in my life. After a frustrating experience, I contacted Frontier Airlines expecting at least decent customer service. Instead, I was met with rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional representatives who clearly didn't care about resolving my issue. All I did was express disagreement with the voucher amount they offered me. Rather than working with me or explaining things calmly, I was given an ultimatum: "Take it or we'll revoke it." Seriously? That's not how you treat customers. To make things worse, I was hung up on, and had to speak to multiple representatives, none of whom showed any empathy or willingness to actually help. It felt like they were just reading from a script, more interested in shutting me down than making things right. read more

Frontier Airlines - This terrible airline had ample space and made us check our bags, don't use them! - Airlines Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Worst experience I've ever had with an airline. I booked a return trip through Expedia and they selected Frontier for the return trip. When trying to check in, Frontier adds prices for EVERYTHING. From getting a seat, to carrying on a bag. The app is a nightmare or glitches. Twice, I've gone through the entire process, just to have it get me to sign in again, then take me back to the start of the entire check in process and then it shows the seats I chose as taken. Calling support, they claim they have phone support if we fly in less than 24 hours, then claim they can't find my flight. Try chatting, and there's no response. This is not an airline anyone should ever subject themselves to. read more

Oh, and if you want to sit with a friend, spouse, family menber and the plane is not full their Job is not to help you at all. They hide from passengers and get paid for it. What a loser airline! Frontier Airlines - Airlines Near Me - Seattle, Washington

My recent flight from Las Vegas to San Diego on May 21, 2024 kept getting delayed. My initial departure time was supposed to be 9 AM that morning. Everyone boarded the plane, but after an hour, we were told to deboard due to a technical issue. They told us to come back in about "one hour," so a number of us (including myself) took a break. When we returned within the hour, we found that the flight had boarded and the gate was closed, preventing us from getting on the plane. It left without me (and about a dozen other people), stranding us at the airport for nearly 12 hours. I am furious that they did not broadcast the reboarding, nor did they wait the full hour as they had told us they would to "fix" the problem with the plane. I was forced to find a later flight, which didn't depart until 6 PM--9 hours later. I missed my appointments and plans for the day and wasted over 10 hours at the airport. On top of that, I had to buy expensive airport food to get through the day. I want to be reimbursed for Frontier's inability to deliver the services I paid for, which caused me to miss all my plans and incur out-of-pocket expenses. I later reached out to customer service a few days later, and it was a horrible experience. There was no option to talk to an agent directly, and the only means of communication was via a web browser chat. The agent was slow to respond and had poor English. She couldn't seem to comprehend what I was saying either. After many hours wasted, I was left with no refund or reimbursement. This airline is trash. Where do I begin with this. So for starters, I will admit it was my own fault for missing my flight. I am on the autism spectrum and had a sensory meltdown the day of, and couldn't get to the airport the day of. It happens. What WAS absolutely atrocious was the customer "service" afterwards. I tried calling them at least 10 times and their stupid AI assistant could not hear me pronounce my confirmation code no matter how many times I tried. It finally did understand, then say it could not find my account. Same for the website. Even though my code showed up perfectly in the app. Never once could I connect to a live agent. Searching for answers on their website was extremely tedious and did not give me any help. Their website chat is automated and will not answer ANY of your questions. So between that and their phone number, there is NO WAY to reach out to a single living human person for help. After hours of struggling to figure this out, I ended up getting $100 of credit for my $300 flight. It was only THEN i FINALLY found the page for a refund request, then learned from reddit that getting credit basically disqualifies your refund. I am a college student living off financial aid so you can imagine the financial risk I took just wanting to see my lonely, aging grandparents for the holidays. This was a nightmare to explain already and the fact Frontier seems to hate their customers makes it even worse. But hey, if it's any consolation, the overwhelm and stress of trying to navigate any of their policies gave me a SECOND sensory meltdown! read more
