1st of all your customer service people should tell the customer that they have to get their bag at thier layover and recheck it. I never received my luggage my entire trip. I'm home and still don't have it. It has my medicine in it. I've spoken and chatted with several people that work there and was told it is here there and every where. I'm so angry. I am going to the airport today to get my bag and chew somebodies head off!!! read more

Every thing First off all our fight was overbooked so 2 of 3 were bumped to the next day with no hotel vouchers offered. Next day the bumped 2 tied to check in and were told they had only paid for 2 of 4 checked baggage. When they proved your agent wrong they were told it would be $25 each just to speak to her. Then their connecting flight was delayed so they sat 9 hrs then they lost their luggage. read more

Fronter is the worst airline next to Spirt,no wonder they are owned by the same worthless company. How do you have no one to get help from when your fight lands and can't find your bags because they have lost them. Bags that you paid $60-$100 to check. They charge a passenger for water, freaking water. The phone customer service and online chat is the biggest joke of the company, claiming to have 24hr, 7 days a week help. The phone auto messaging system only directs you to the online chat that does absolutely nothing. This company is pure trash. read more

Frontier airlines are horrible when they say you pay for what you get they mean that. They may be the cheapest airlines out there but you pay for exactly what you get their cheap. They're have horrible Customer service it's less than garbage. They screw you over anyway however they can I would rather pay the amount of money that United Delta American are asking for, I will never go on Frontier ever again if there was a way to give negative stars, I would give them the max negative stars if possible they are such a horrible airline. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

This is mostly about one particular employee. We were waiting for our gate to be freed up so our airplane could pull in. While this delay took place, the departures signs at SeaTac were not updated with our Frontier flight so everyone was very confused. Our boarding passes said gate S2 but there was a totally different plane sitting there. So, several passengers were asking a man behind the counter of S3 (there were agents at S2 but there was a huge line). He was very rude and "exasperated" with people and basically just saying, really loudly, "S2" over and over as if the whole area should know the answer. Not only was he rude, but he was a slob. His hair was greasy, his shirt was untucked, he was very overweight so he was sweating and he just looked super unprofessional. Frontier must have a dress code and I doubt he followed it. He was also in charge of making sure that all personal items fit in the bag sizer. He was brutal and just so rude with everyone that he made out their bags in. Both my husband and I easily put our bags into the sizer but the young girl behind us he didn't ask her to put her back pack in - and she commented to us that her bag was obviously bigger. I was told that the employees get bonuses for collecting fees and I think this guy was really trying to get paid. I believe this incentive may have caused this unkempt guy to act out of line. Frontier should revisit this policy and also be even more specific if they want to collect more fees. Just take all backpacks out of the "personal items" category and only allow a purse/murse or fanny pack. In all caps say - NO BACKPACKS. Figure out a more streamlined way to get your passengers onto the plane without being so rude and humiliating them in front of other passengers. Also, if you accuse them of having too big of a bag and it turns out that the bag fits, you should apologize out loud - just the way you loudly shamed the passenger in the first place. This guy was rude! The flight attendants were nice, the captain was nice and handled delays as best as they could. It was just this one guy - not a poster child for Frontier. This is our first experience with the no carry on and we have a more clear understanding of the process but I wish I knew more clearly before our flight - even though it asks us repeatedly when booking. We had backpacks - mine was smaller and packed tightly and my husband's was bigger but not packed fully. He was convinced that it only had to fit under the seat and that is not the case. My beef isn't with the policy, it was with the way the employee handled it and the way he presented himself. Also, I would have very defined line cues instead of a free for all method that resembles herding cattle. read more

Yes, we all love to whine about how they are charging for everthing from carry-ons, soft drinks and to seat upgrades. However, we are all slave to cheap prices and we all keep coming back. Carry on: It appears all big airlines charge for carry on bags now. Drinks: Most do offer free drinks and small bag of peanuts or pretzels. Overall, how much more do they charge? Lot more than what you pay for at the concourse. I rather skip the pretzel and drinks and save $$. Yes, I do pack light so carry on upcharge don't bother me as much. Do the math and find something that meets your needs. Seats: If I'm flying from Denver to NYC, non reclining seat might not be a good idea. If I m saving 100s.. maybe. If shorter than 3 hours, yes I can handle it. Last flight I took on Southwest, it was very nice flight with friendly attendants, drinks and bag of peanuts, free carry on bags and not to mention leather reclining seats. Reclining is nice till some butt heads behind you decide to grab your headrest as a handle to get in and out of the seat, shaking your head while trying to take a nap. None of this problem on Frontier. Delays and delays: don't know much about other airlines but last few trips on Frontier, delays and change of gates with another delays including this one at the Seattle. To Seattle from Denver was delayed and going out of Seattle, another delay. Wow! read more

Worst experience I have ever had flying. The baggage fees are ridiculous and the employees need more support from management and training.

Worst airline ever! Paid 400 just for luggage! I couldn't pay for the luggage on the app (glitch with their app) so I was forced to pay it at the gate. Airline ticket was $79 only, luggage $400!!!! This airline is as horrible as Frontier. Seats are in incredibly small. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They act like they are a budget friendly airline but they try to price gauge you at every step of the way. I almost had to pay $75 for my bag being two pounds overweight. Most airlines have a 50 pound limit but frontier changed theirs to 40 as a cash grab. Furthermore, a woman I was in line next to was escaping a domestic violence situation and couldn't afford the $75 overweight bag fee. She offered the only $60 she had but they showed her zero empathy. The workers scanning boarding passes were rude and pushy. So are the flight attendants. Unwilling to work with or help passengers in any capacity. I also got a window seat that doesn't have a window? I get incredibly carsick without being able to see out a window and now I am claustrophobic. Thanks a lot frontier!! You suck. read more

I recently had an incredibly unpleasant experience with Frontier Airlines. I have never flown with Frontier Airlines and let alone by myself. I was attempting to enter in my confirmation code on the kiosk and was having some trouble. So I asked for help by a customer service attendant. He stated "If you want me to help you then I will have to charge you or you can download the app". I was shocked by his response but started to download the app anyways. I'm not the greatest with technology. so I had to ask him for assistance again. He had a very unpleasant tone but continued to help me get my boarding pass. He took one look at my carry on and said it didn't meet the requirements and had to be checked in. I paid for it but I felt so uncomfortable in the way he was talking to me. We exchanged some words on how I felt like he was being rude, unhelpful and making the process unnecessarily stressful. All I wanted was good customer service but after this encounter I was left with an unpleasant travel experience by Frontier Airlines. read more

First and LAST time flying Frontier- an airline that presents as a sound economical choice and makes their money by charging for everything other carriers offer complimentary. My 106 dollar round trip ticket turned into a 400 dollar ticket. They charge for carry ons and checked bags and seat selection and simple customer service and any changes you may need to make. Fine print is everywhere and if you don't take time to read it, you will undoubtedly be dinged. The checked bag I paid 70 dollars in advance for could not be checked because we did not arrive 60 minutes before the flight at a small airport. My bag was carry on size so I was able to take it on the plane but they charged an additional 44 dollars to change my bag to carry on in the system. My bag each direction cost as much as my ticket. At every turn frontier is wildly unreasonable and riddled with deceptive charges and the sad thing is they target people who are in a lower economic bracket. The tray tables are 1/4 of a normal tray table, you don't even get a free water on the plane. Though they could, they do not sit people who booked together seats together so that you are forced to pay an upgrade if you want to be next to the person you travelled with. I walked by 4 rows that were completely empty. To hear the flight attendant say welcome aboard the greatest airline in the world made me laugh out loud. It's by far the worst experience I've ever had on any airline and I've been on 1000 flights. All the US Airlines I have flown share a standard, frontier is a shocking bar drop, scamming people who are tight on money to begin with. I feel for the poor employees having to deal with all the upset customers and negative feedback. Worst policies, dreadful airline. No stars for frontier. read more

I had a good experience out of PHX to SEA, but the customer service in DEN is non-existent.

I dont write reviews. but this one needed to be written. first time for everything. I usually fly Alaska, I should have continued. But the price difference on the flight home was half, so I bought into Frontiers budget friendly front. Should never have chomped on that baited hook. I expected them to charge for every little bit of extra breathing air, and they do. I could make do without most of it, but on this one I needed the baggage (traveling for a wedding, we needed the extra clothes). I ended up buying their premium luggage package, so we could have both checked luggage, and carry ons in addition to the allowed personal item. I didn't expect the carry ons to be so expensive. Its a bummer, but the price was still a little less than Alaska, so i thought it was still a better option by a little. Boy was I wrong. First, about a week before we left for the trip, they canceled the second leg of our flight home (CUN-DEN-SEA), and offered no replacement to it. I had to fight for 2 hours on the phone to get a replacement flight home, they acted like leaving us stranded halfway home was an acceptable solution. Accepting a 3 day delay and an overnight layover as a replacement flight to get home, they then lost our checked luggage . . . ON BOTH LEGS. Luckily we had a long enough layover, and the Denver airport had a Frontier counter (that was actually STAFFED, unlike their counter at sea-tac) and we were able to find it before our second leg, so at least we know it made it stateside. Upon arriving at SeaTac, and realizing the bag got lost AGAIN, we then spent 2 hours trying to contact anyone at SeaTac with Frontier, eventually giving up. Hours of internet links and phone trees finally showed us our only option was an online form. Filled it out and waited. Over a week later, they finally contacted us back, saying they had to wait 3 weeks before they could do anything. 4 weeks after we got back, after hours on hold on multiple occasions, they finally found our bag and we had our bag on our way to us from Georgia via FedEx. Unfortunately, they gave the wrong address to FedEx (I confirmed I gave them the correct one) and it took a couple extra weeks to get to us. After almost 2 months since our trip, it finally showed up today! YAY!! Except. . . there's stuff missing from the bag! No TSA inspection notice, so its unlikely it was our ever vigilant airport security. I just got off a 2 hour phone escapade with Frontier, the result of which is I need to file a new claim and go through the whole process again to hopefully ( fingers crossed, pray hard ) get reimbursed for the items taken out of our bag during this 2 month adventure. The adventure continues... I cant believe I paid half the fare again for this ridiculous level of competency. I will neeeveer fly with them again. And I recommend anyone to avoid them as well. Its a trap, the discount is not worth it. read more

I have never flown Frontier until I procedure out a trip on Priceline and it was the flight selected as a return trip the day of Sept 22, 2024. I called them to ask about bringing a bigger item on the flight back and just paying for it and I am glad I did. They charge for each and every carry on. Backpacks, larger purses, even a bag from the store if you shop in the Airport. I was told by customer support I needed to pay $69 for any carryon i wanted to store in the overhead compartment. Do they really think people are just traveling cross country will the cloths they are wearing and I'd on them? Just a scam to get you to buy their tickets online as you think it's a really good price, then you get to the Airport and find out you are paying more than you would have if you just selected Delta or Alaska. It's a complete scam. I submitted a Consumer Fraud report to the BBB in WA state. I recommend others do as well, with all their receipts attached for price comparisons. They need to be shut down, or heavily fined read more

I don't know that I should be surprised, Frontier has gone down hill since new management 5 years ago. I typically know what to expect on a frontier flight, I'm not paying top notch prices, so I'm not going to get top notch service. This most recent trip is a new low across any service industry. I flew from Denver to Washington for a golf tournament on Thursday 8/1/19 when I landed at Sea-Tac at 8:30a on Thursday. Upon arrival, my golf bag was lost. Kinda need that for a golf tournament. I was patient. I followed the process, filed the claim, dealt with the service reps, and wasn't too concerned because the tournament wasn't until Sunday. I was told, by the baggage team, my clubs were located Friday afternoon! Great news! They even offered to deliver them either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. No matter to me, just deliver them and I'm good. Saturday morning comes and goes, wasn't delivered, poor service. I called to get an update, and was told I'd get a call back. That didn't happen, poor service. I called again, they're not working, poor service. I called to speak with their "corporate office". SURPRISE! No manager available to handle my complaint. I was told I'd get my clubs Sunday between 2p-11p. Again, they knew they had them on Friday at 6p, and offered (as a courtesy for losing my bag, I guess) that they'd deliver them, and I can't even go pick them up because they've transferred them,". And when you call the local and national services, the response you get is "oh well." I'd suggest shareholders get out as soon as possible. This level of incompetence and lack of planning for worst case scenario speaks volumes for the incompetence at the top that inherently seeps to the customer facing individuals that are handcuffed by policies they can't change. Absolutely incompetent. read more

The worst experience ever! I will never Fly frontier again. Not worth the savings and in the end it wasn't a bargain anyways as they charge you for everything even a carry on. They even have a 25.00 fee to print your boarding pass. There is no way you will be comfortable in their seats or be able to nap. I saw everyone around me fidgeting trying t get comfortable. Ahdgtwirunebagsgsy!!!!!! A full star is not even worthy of this place. Seriously, WORST AIRLINE EVER! Customer service is useless, they dime you for every little thing such as check in bags for international flights, carry on bags that you ALSO have to pay which is $40, once youre in flight, drinks such as apple juice, orange juice, etc you gotta pay. WTF. They can't do anything right. Bo wonder Frontier has bad reviews including people at the airport telling us that they are literally not their number 100th choice. We paid $60 for check in, even though it should be free bc we were flying international. We get to Denver which is our layover with no time at all to get to our connecting flight. We barely make it and the seats are uncomfortable. Non cushioned seats. We get to Seattle and about 6 other unfortunate customers also didn't receive their baggage. WTF. No Frontier employee in sight. Had to speak with delta employees which was very helpful. Their contact number is shit bc you talk to someone more useless than Siri. We waited 1 hour after the carousel stopped. Still nobody. Finally someone in green shows up and she was straight up rude saying that international flights baggage almost always arrive the next dat due to TSA or W.e. But Thats total bullshit bc ive flown to Cancun with other airlines before and this has never happened. I gave her all our information and she told us she would call us within 30 minutes to give us our confirmation number for our missing luggages. She never called. I waited and waited no call or voicemail. I will never ever fly Frontier. And I am warning y'all to stay away from this airline. Gotta fly with someone. Depending on where you go you don't always have a ton of options. They only fly Air busses like Spirit or a few other airlines so I hope you're into that aircraft. Still most of the fleet has been remodeled if not new so don't worry about a crusty plane. Seats don't recline and no real tray tables so brace yourself if you're not familiar with how Frontier operates. They do have a few nicer upgraded seats up front for an additional cost. BUT that's how other airlines are anyway. They do Coke products like many other companies. I've seen people get water for free. Also seen them charge people so I don't know what the deal is. Any and all beverages are for sale so prepare for that. Fly most places but I don't think they've added any international routes yet. Staff is friendly. Good pilots. What rubs most people the wrong way is their fees. When you book your flight you have to pay for a seat. Otherwise you are randomly assigned at check in with whatever is left. Best seats are about $48 next level are $24 and the next level are $12. Depending on your flight is $5 to have a window or aisle seat. You get a personal backpack or purse. But they are fairly serious about checking. So pay to check your bag early. It's a set price when you book. After that it's more at the airport. At the gate etc. End up coming out the same as a few other airlines, But when you add in your $2 fare on Bucky the Beaver it's $120 with bags all said and done. Cheaper airlines. Flown them to Orlando as well as Denver, Seattle, and Chicago. Safe etc. etc. Just find it annoying that any deals have wild blackout dates. And the date price is always about doubled by the time you pick a seat and pay for your bags. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. WORST EXPERIENCES with Frontier, over and over. Can't list all of the many disappointments here, but they include dreadful customer service (both counter and online), late flights - by HOURS - every time we've flown Frontier, ridiculous policies (can't check bags more than 2 hours early, so forget about arriving early to get through security and have dinner before boarding a 10pm flight, etc). I give frontier 0 stars, their staffing was rude in Seattle and in Denver customer service sucks. And the baggage rule we had to pay $99 just for a carry on total paid out just for 1 carry on and 1 checked was $337 which is a rip off. On our flight back from Denver they were giving out $500 vouchers for a few select to leave the next day. This sounded good because we wanted to recoup some of our money back that we were gouged out of. We inquired and the voucher was only good for 24 hours, so essentially they were just changing our flight plans w/ nothing benefiting us. Will NEVER fly w/ Frontier again horrible airlines. Hope they go bankrupt for screwing us hardworking people. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Had a flight canceled due to "plane matenence issues" and that alone, I understand. It's a cheap flight, so while it was an inconvenience, I get that shit happens. That all being said, I still had to get home, so I went to their help desk and after they were quite unwilling to help, they finally promised a hotel and food voucher as well as a replacement flight because their replacement flight had a 7 hour layover and was leaving 12 hrs after I was supposed to have left. They never sent the email however and attempting to contact customer service was a NIGHTMARE. Once I did get ahold of them however they were wildly unhelpful and honestly a joke. The flight I did get on was filthy and smelled like expired soda and piss. Worst. Experience. Ever. Flight delayed 30 min, finally boarded, only to wait on the plane for 45 min to de-plane and wait for another 3 hours. Flight is supposed to leave at 3 AM. I had no idea this place sucked so bad. EDIT: They sent me 50 dollars hoping I'd take my review down. Also, we've almost left the airport twice. We were brought back on the plane, for a second time, and we even taxied for what felt like 20 minutes before the captain said there were more issues with the plane. Now, we're heading back to the gate while they fix the plane...not sure anyone really wants to be on this plane anymore. read more

Buyer beware! The discount pricing is a lost-leader and quickly erased by a la carte add ons, including a $55 per trip per person carry-on bag charge at the counter, or slightly less via the frontier app. Unbelievably they charge for coffee, water and to reserve a seat. The flight was on time and the Airbus was clean, but furnished with low-end non-reclining plastic bus like seats with thin padding, short arm rest and small tray. Note there is no audio video or phone charging available at your seat, not ideal for a working or long flight. A small back pack is allowed, making It a good choice for free wheeling travelers that can live out of a back pack, but for me, the add on charges surpassed the cost of full serve air lines. Next time I'll skip Frontier and choose up front pricing, comfort and service instead. read more

IAH to DEN F9 243 5:11am There was no air conditioning while the flight was boarding. They tried using air from the jet bridge; however, it did not help anyone who wasn't close to the door. Being in zone 1, I was one of the 1st people to board. This means I got to sit in the stifling heat for about 30 minutes. In addition, there was no beverage/snack service on the flight. DEN to SEA F9 143 04:34pm They changed the departure gate with no announcement. Sitting at A40, I happened to look up and notice that the destination listed on the gate sign had changed. As there was no announcement, I ended up walking and looking at all of the A gates until I found the correct one. The lady making announcements was completely unintelligible. We couldn't understand most of what she was saying. A second employee causes panic by stating the flight was oversold and not everyone with tickets would get on. She tells everyone to look at their boarding passes and if they don't have a seat listed, surprise! I had a seat listed, so I was good. Boarding time arrives and the plane barely lands yet we are still "on time". The departure location changes from Seattle to Las Vegas BEFORE SEATTLE EVEN BOARDS. This creates further chaos as in addition to the passengers who are freaked out that they won't be able to get on the Seattle flight, the Las Vegas passengers join in the ever restless crowd. As boarding starts, the huge crowd pushes forward. The gate agent tries to get people to move back and leave room for those who are supposed to be boarding to no avail. Both Seattle and Las Vegas passengers are mixed together and boarding. In the chaos, they even let some of the Las Vegas passengers on the Seattle plane and had to send someone down the gangway to get them (about 6 per the boarding agent who was apparently alert enough to notice their boarding passes said Las Vegas but not to stop them?). We push off at 5:15p though our scheduled take off time was 4:35pm. I have a ton of miles and had free vouchers so it only cost me $30 round trip total (this day's flights and the return flights in October). Yes, you get what you pay for but when it's so cheap why not? The less I spend per trip, the more I can travel. As a practice, I never book any tours or prepaid/set time events until at least the day after arrival, so I'm usually good. I also never book with them unless I can get a stupid cheap deal like the one above. I also tend to get free Priority Boarding so Yay me! I also never check any bags - carry on and personal max. No, I would never recommend them to anyone - especially if they are paying more than $100 each way (start to final destination). read more

I would give Frontier a minus review if I could. I woke up and found that Frontier had canceled our flight the morning we were to leave. We scrambled to rebook on another airline. Frontier did not reimburse us for the entire cost of our new flight, PLUS they did not refund us the baggage fee that I paid the night before when checking in--I was told the baggage fee was nonrefundable, even though Frontier cancelled the flight. I went to use the $200 voucher that they gave us because they only allowed 90 days to book another flight. In order not to lose this, I went to book a trip that I probably would not have taken otherwise. When I went to use the voucher I found that it HAD NO MONEY ON IT. After spending 20+ minutes talking to a customer service person, they helped me book the flight and then CHARGED ME A $10 FEE FOR BOOKING ONLINE!!! DON'T TRAVEL ON FRONTIER! If I could leave a negative zero Stars I would this Airline is the absolute worst . My daughter and granddaughter were flying from Seattle to Phoenix the agent at the counter didn't know what the hell he was doing and did not put the flight number on my granddaughter's car seat so it never got put on the plane and it is now just lost somewhere they have no idea where it's at or how they're even going to find it they made my daughter wait 2 hours at the Phoenix Airport only to give her a car seat that was too small for my granddaughter who is four and the car seat was meant for a 2-year-old it allowed them to get her home but my daughter was not comfortable having her in that seat but really had no choice . They provide no options to speak to a live representative over the phone yet they just hide behind their chat service and then refuse to provide any assistance .
