I have not flown on Alaskan Airlines for decades, my initial experience was not great. I have to say, they have won me over. I love that your seat is assigned, no cattle call at the gate! Yes, Southwest I am talking about you. I found the flight attendants on point, I prefer the cart service with your own little can and a cup of ice. Much more efficient for all. I appreciate their focus on no plastics and kudos to them for being the first airline to eliminate all plastic! Seating is okay and on a par with any other airline. I was actually able to understand the overhead when the captain or an attendant spoke, appreciated that. Prior to boarding, given the option to volunteer to check in your carry on to make sure there was space available in the cabin for other carry ons as a full flight. I took this option and it was all seamless. I will definitely be back and consider them top of the list for my next trip.

I've flown Alaska Airlines before for both business trips and holiday getaways. However, this is my first time to fly direct to Maui from SeaTac Int'l Airport & Alaska Airlines main hub (8/26/25). Usually I've flown Hawaiian Airlines with a connection in Honolulu and onward to Kauai, Maui, or the Big Island. Granted I was able to book a reasonably priced coach RT ticket & a companion fare deal for The Homie. But kind of disappointed that there was just beverage service and a Biscoff packet. Truly just basic airline service. I rarely fly, but previous experiences were fun and exciting. This flight did the job getting from point A to point B, but meh. Flight crew were busy entire time with preboarding, safety spiel, beverage cart, customs forms, and info on the Atmos card. Props to them for their customer service. Time will tell how its acquistion of Hawaiian Airlines will go.

Sometimes you can't help delays when there's planes coming from areas with horrible weather. I was hearing that quite a few planes were extremely delayed coming from the east due to all the rain and flooding. And our flight was one of those that was delayed, but only by 17 minutes thankfully. We were lucky to get a pilot who loves his job and rushed over to our plane and limit the delay as much as possible. Great sense of humor too. It was a super smooth flight that he and his crew got us back in record time. He even poked his head out of the cockpit to introduce himself and wave to everyone, which was a nice touch. If only all pilot's were that enthused about their job. I hope I come across more like this Alaskan Airlines pilot.

Holy Sled Dog Booties. I had such a great experience. Frequently I'm in coach Today my wife used her points to first class us to Seattle from Alaska. Riley. A attendant Was all smiles. Great seat recline. Best meal I've had on a plane in 40 years. Warm. Always first in line for the bathroom. USB and 120v plugins Footrests. Large carry on footprint under the seats. Why can't I do this all the time. ?!?!!

The plane we caught from Seattle to Honolulu was on the smaller side. The seats were tight and the hubby complained about leg room. He wasn't too pleased with the front seat resting on his knees for the five hour flight. There were no screens for these type of planes. However, you can access their free movies on your phone from their website. I've been on Alaska a few times and they always leave and arrive on time. Service is always good. They gave out tiny pretzel twists as snacks on the flight along with free soda, juice, water or coffee. They do this twice on five hour flights. Flying Hawaiian I always get the pineapple juice. They don't offer it on Alaska, so I just opt for apple juice. Their clean up crew needs to do a better job. On the flight from Detroit to Seattle my seat was filthy. There were crumbs on my seat and there was a big brown spot on the carpet by my feet. It looked like someone spilled their powdered coffee. I'd rate Alaska as ok. I still prefer Hawaiian.

Got to use Alaska airline for the first time! It was better than frontier airline for sure. It's funny we had to go through outside route! The weather was nice but i bet it'll be freezing during the wintertime. Anyways, the transactions were smooth and the on board was good!

This airline is usually a lot better than it was today. We are flying back to SNA and the flight is PACKED and LATE. The gate area is smelly and crowded and hot due to no air conditioning. Other than that, I'll try to fly safe!

I used to go with this airline for SEA from either SNA or LAX. So far all on time and everything is great. From easy purchase tix, online check in, something got upgrade for free (statue), in flight service. Overall, appreciated and enjoyed this airline.

This airport isn't the greatest at all. But despite that this flight the gate person Tamara was a great helping and very understanding. She was more helpful than the previous gate people in L.A. she was very attentive and didn't ignore the people sitting in the handicap seating area and made it a point to inform people that the disabled will be boarding first and went as far as pushing a chair down herself to help her coworker load the disabled people. The upgrade was well worth it for the more leg room and I have WiFi on this flight. The service and people a lot of the times really turn a bad experience into a good one and I truly thank that gate person for Alaska Airlines (Tamara) in Seattle.

Online said plane departed 4:09pm. It was 4:45 and we were still grounded. D:

I especially would like to point out a recent experience I had at the Seattle Ticket Counter with agent: Vise - She was so gracious, and worked to reroute us even though our booked flights were over 10 hours away still, and put us in seats together through both legs of our trip and got us home a half day earlier than planned. You will be pestered with emails suggesting to pay for this and that in advance to make your trip more pleasant or predictable. You MAY be asked to prove that your hand luggage fits in their size bins (there were two next to my gate with stern warnings, so you can try in advance). You CAN pay through the app in the airport if you need to convert your personal item into a carry-on but that will eat some of the savings. The seats do not tilt; because of that the seating area is actually wider and pant size 42 man comfortably fits with no intrusion to the neighboring space. IMHO 44 should fit too. Your flight crew WILL be nice and bottomless tea or coffee will be 4 bucks. The lavatory is, probably, not cleaned between the flights. I was first and the seat was already "sprinkled" and one of two rolls of toilet paper was already down to the bare core. Short delays are very common with Frontier (at least on LAX-SEA they are) but usually they recover most of it through the flight. My flight left 20 minutes late but arrived on-time. If you fly with just the "personal item" AKA small backpack 18x14x8", accept the toilet situation (I am not saying that they never clean, only that on my flight it was not - for sure), and OK with the need to walk / take a free shuttle from the gate to the airplane, you will save 35%. If you have carry on, you will save ~15%, and if you are flexible with your travel dates, you will fly half-price comparing to the major airlines. The caveat is the usual - no changes and no upgrades of anything.

There was a woman and a man who were in the back of the plane where the restrooms are. Before the flight even took off, the woman said to her male coworker that "the higher ups" don't like her and that's why she's in the back. They then continued talking extremely loudly to the extent that I and several people seated near me thought the conversation was coming out of the overhead speakers. Their conversations consisted of a kind of flirty exchange where the woman was sharing her entire dating life, stories about being drunk and even saying that she has 6 months clean. They continued talking extremely loudly despite multiple passengers looking back and questioning how they could be so unaware. The plane was extremely quiet as many people were returning from Las Vegas so extremely tired and trying to nap. After about 45 minutes, I went to the bathroom near them and politely asked if they realized that the whole back half of the plane e could hear their entire conversation. The response was that this is how they keep themselves awake on the job and began laughing and exchanging undermining and outwardly rude glances. I went back to my seat and about 10 minutes later, a man who was two rows from the back of the plane stood up and asked something similar to the following...would you guys mind keeping it down? We have spent the entire time on this flight listening to your discussions about inappropriate subjects and we would appreciate it if you would remain professional and spare us the details of your personal lives. They laughed and did not respond at which point t he said, "no wonder the higher up's don't like you." They continued to converse loudly and snicker about the passengers requests. At one point a different flight attendant approached them and we thought she would be asking them to quiet down but within moments she was laughing and clearly not informing them that they were out of line. At this time, I was filming and attempting to Document the situation. The woman then approached my seat and demanded that I stop recording. She had a red card and said if I did not stop recording she would hand the red card and I would be met by the police upon landing. When I tried to explain the situation, she said that she was unaware of that and when I asked for a supervisor, she stated the there was no supervisor on board and reminded me that it is against privacy rules to Record anyone without their permission. Overall, this was the worst flight I have ever experienced. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was astounding. I will never fly with Frontier again.

Before I made the reservation I somehow did not see the 55 minute connection in Paris but I certainly noticed after I bought the ticket. I called the airline and they said people make th3 connection all the time with no issues. On the return travel day, we departed Marsellie 10 minutes late. Upon landing the pilot of our Air France plane said we arrived only 5 minutes late. After pulling up to the gate, there was no announcement about letting transferring passengers deplane first. By the way, We were assigned seats by the airline in the back of the plane. We had also been told our arriving and departing planes would be relatively close. We landed at 2F and had to get to 2E Gate L53. After getting off the plane we scurried ahead to find Passport control and only 4 agents working a line of 200 people. 2 of the 4 agents were helping priority customers only, like first class. The other 2 were helping the vast majority of us. After 25 minutes we made it through Passport control. We then ran. We ran and ran. We ran on the moving sidewalks and shouted "pardon" in French a hundred times. By the time we got to L53 we discovered the gates were nearly as far apart as possible within the terminal 2. Anyway, our flight was to depart at 1:10 pm. We arrived panting at 1pm. They asked us who we were and entered our names and then wouldn't talk to us for another 5 minutes when I finally blurted out, are we going to be able to get in the flight or not? They said "Sorry to say you have missed your flight". A moment before she said this I saw AFrance escorting a passenger down the gangway, probably a first class passenger, we were just steerage. At 1:20, 20 minutes after we arrived, we were sent away to another desk to try and find a different flight. As we walked away, our plane we should have been on was still sitting there. By the way, I heard Air France tell 6 other customers the same thing, "Sorry YOU have missed your flight" rather than the appropriate "Sorry, WE caused you to miss your connection ". We ended up getting home only 5 hours later than anticipated but we had the worst seats imaginable on our remaining flights, and of course we did not get to sit together!! They use Dreamliner planes and serve tasty meals on all flights, including my short haul flights to and from Greece. The IFE system has extensive entertainment and they give all passengers an amenity bag on long haul flights. Lastly, the baggage allowance is generous as you can check in 2 bags. I do also want to bring up some items to consider booking on Turkish. My flight to Istanbul was nearly a hour late, but I still made my connection. Try not to book flights with short layovers. We flew to South America yearly for a while, and the economy experience on Turkish Airlines was like the Business Class experience on the unnamed airline to Montevideo. There were always two options for the meals. My wife was able to get gluten-free meals. The help staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It may well have been the best long flight experience in my life.

Had amazing experience flying from Seattle to Helsinki to my home country Latvia with Finnair…read more Finnair expanded their flights and I was happy to see that I can fly trough Helsinki instead of Frankfurt to my home country out of Seattle because layover was shorter and it's also only 1 hour flight from Helsinki to Riga. Finnair partner up with British airways business lounge and it was very decent food and drinks (compare what I had with Lufthansa last year few celery sticks and a cookie). The lounge wasn't so big and one can hear some rude people speaking loud on their phones but it had a nice view of the runway. Our flight was on time and I was settling in my Business class seat after short boarding process. They welcomed me with the drink ( I choose their signature blueberry juice and Northern Blush cocktail -must try) and they also provide amenity kit (which was disappointing) It didn't had toothbrush or any socks, also their cream had very bad smell and texture. I hope they will improve that. The wireless phone charger didn't work for me because my phone has a case and it was not picking it up. Pillow blanket and pad were provided, also I noticed that I didn't got any slippers because when I was leaving the plane I saw many people had same slippers. Food was very good on the way there. I had for an appetizer crab meat with mayo mousse, caprese salad and nice piece of salmon with veggies. For dessert I had raspberry tart with tea. And plenty of blueberry juice- thats my favorite! (Unfortunately food on the way back wasn't great. They ran out of their signature drink Northern Blush at Helsinki which is Finnair hub!!! Smocked salmon on the way back was too salty and too smocked. Weird food options like shrimp quiche for breakfast or pork dinner which is not so appealing even to person that doesn't have any dietary restrictions. Both breakfast and dinner were bad, breakfast looked poor and tasted poor and dinner I couldn't even eat. Also why to serve cauliflower as a side on a long haul flights). Important to note seat doesn't recline but it lay flat! So you can't adjust it for a recliner like on other planes. Also belt is like in a car. But it didn't bothered me because I could adjust leg part of the seat but not the back. Entertainment was good and they had a lot of good new movies available. I wasn't bored at all! I watch Missis Harris goes to Paris (what an amazing inspirational movie) and The unbearable weight of massive talent. Bed was cozy and I had 4 h nap and woke up to breakfast. Hour and a half before landing in Helsinki they served us Breakfast which was very generous. It had cheese & ham, croissant, bread muffin, fruits, omelette, yogurt and mini jam. I was full and ready to spend 6 h layover at Helsinki! (Originally was 1h40m but then they changed it) Enjoyed my flight and definetely will consider again. Hopefully they will keep their good pricing compare to Swiss and Lufthansa!

I recently flew with Finnair from Seattle, WA to Vilnius, Lithuania; it was a wonderful experience…read morefrom start to finish. I was a bit skeptical at first as I had originally booked with British Air, only to find out that the flights were operated by Finnair. Thankfully, there was clear communication regarding flight details once booked. Onboard, the cabin crew were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring all passengers were comfortable. The meals served were well proportioned for "airline food." You must try their signature blueberry juice! There was a slight delay departing Seattle, but I had no issues with my connecting flight in Helsinki. All of my other flights took off on time, and we arrived a few minutes early each time. The only drawback is with luggage. My particular ticket was for carry-on luggage only. Finnair has a max combined weight of 8kg (~17.5 lbs), which can be difficult to meet with most suitcases. I used a light-weight travel backpack and just barely made the cutoff. Overall, Finnair exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them for anyone traveling from Seattle, WA to Vilnius, Lithuania. I will be flying with Finnair again!
