It's an airport, it's huge, people everywhere, but I give 5 stars as had no negative experience. My son has issues going down steep escalators and everywhere we had to go, there was easy access to an elevator when needed. Waiting in the TSA line, it was really going to be a very long wait to get through. As we waited in line, an airport lady official came over to us, apologized for not seeing us sooner and said we should be in the ADA access line. My son is a 50 year old Down syndrome adult. This saved us probably an hour wait time in that line. All the staff we encountered were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Trains were easily accessed and very efficient to go to the area of your departure. Lots of interesting shops and eating options. Really appreciated that the seats in the departure waiting areas have plug ins for your chargers and that they actually work!i it has been many years since I was last here and was amazed at how very busy this airport is, planes lined up big time to wait for their turn to take off. This airport is far from being intuitive! Half of the airport is under construction and the signage situation here is terrible. There is no lightrail or tram to go to the car rental area, you have to go outside and wait in a long line for shuttles to come and take you there. The only saving grace was their Delta Sky Lounge, which was clean and comfortable. The centurion lounge is overcrowded and there are lines up the yin yang, people are on the waitlist to get inside. read more

Okay. So it's not a matter of recommendation. If you need to fly into Seattle or Tacoma, this is your airport. I will say that this airport has the absolute worst security process that I ever seen - - and I travel frequently around the world. The TSA PreCheck/global entry line was stupid long and slow. Maybe longer than the regular line? Of course pre-check doesn't have to take off shoes or take anything out of their bags. But this was absolutely ridiculous. The line for PreCheck was probably an hour long. And when we got up there they were absolutely silly. My hubby got held up for his metal American Express credit card. Took him forever to get through security. They look through his wallet several times - - what did they think they're going to find if they keep looking at the same wallet 10 times? Of course my purse with my American Express card was not even flagged. I was, however, searched more thoroughly than I've ever been before because of my knee replacement. I'm well aware that I need to be scanned differently, but it's ridiculous for a knee replacement to be searched shoulders to ankles, having to lunge with both legs, turnaround and start all over from the back. I have never! The airport looks like it's falling down, and is held together with all kinds of temporary fixes. It is not pretty. By the time we got to our gates, we had to laugh when we saw that it was a computer monitor on a stack of reams of paper. I mean if you don't laugh, you might cry! You really don't have a choice when it comes to flying in to this area. I will also say that we flew out of this airport in an international terminal which was quite nice. So who knows? read more

The ukulele lady needs to stop playing. Although her voice is acceptable, the ukulele with very few chords for 2 hours straight was eventually like nails on a chalkboard and made us get up and leave the main glass food court. Maybe that's what the airport wants... read more

S Gates area. The bathrooms are disgusting! No toilet paper, paper towels filthy! Plus everything in this area closes at 10pm all food then your stuck with nasty premade $14 turkey wraps. All colognes are $50 over regularly price's. Keep gouging the American people! read more

SeaTac Passenger Terminal is a very clean and organized air terminal with a very nice transportation system for transit from terminal to terminal within the airport. There is also a nice variety of eating and drinking establishments for your enjoyment, but the prices are very typical for airports throughout the U.S. The majority of the staff in the airport or courteous and helpful, but there are usual individuals within the TSA ranks that are unreasonable and rude. read more

My first visit to SeaTac was a pleasure! During the busy Christmas holiday travel season, I had a flight out of Oregon to Detroit with a 3+ hour layover at SeaTac. Due to extreme weather conditions along the West coast to the south, many flights to California had been cancelled. This caused so many travelers to be stranded at SeaTac. As I went from my arrival gate to my departure gate, I couldn't help but notice the variety of stores and restaurants available to the flying public. But with the crowds of people, I didn't tarry long as I made my way to my departure gate. As one can imagine, once I arrived at the gate, it was already pretty well occupied by others for flights before mine. I asked a Delta Airlines employee if there was a USO available. Yes indeed, and with directions I was off to a quiet resting place. After a while, I returned to my gate and prepared for my outbound flight. The crowding I experienced before was somewhat diminished, and I was able to find a suitable seat in the waiting area. Soon I was on my way to the Midwest, a happy and satisfied traveler. While this is an international airport, and it can get pretty busy and crowded, my experience was pleasureable. I highly recommend! read more

The terminal is clean, but someone needs to take a look at the signage UX. We had a stroller, so we needed to find alternatives to the escalators leading to baggage claim. Essentially, we wasted time walking though unmarked hallways and using elevators with no maps or floor descriptions. I know that flying into a terminal isn't really a matter of choice, but hopefully someone with some sway can help make the experience better for those with wheelchairs, strollers, or special needs. read more

These people are on it!! We arrived on a stop over from Montana to California on Alaska airlines and we requested wheelchair assistance due to my mom recovering from a broken hip...... They were right there to get her off the plane wheeled her into the terminal and loaded us on first. We flew 1st class so we were up front. The guys helping us were so patient and kind. read more

I mean the airport is fine; the airlines has been good but the terminal is crowded due to the Fourth of July holiday. We were wearing our masks and pulled two chairs in a hallway but out of the way of people and plugged in our devices. We were sitting there for several hours and saw security personnel and suppliers coming and going. A security person comes and tells us we have no right to be there. Told her no seats are available and we've have been there for hours since we flew in waiting for our next flight. We needed to plug in our devices. She said you just can't be here So why is it ok for hours and then now move as the airport is getting more and more crowded. If that's the policy shouldn't all people have told us Just not happy. read more

Subway. After walking half a mile, down two escalators, 2 subway stops, up 2 more escalators and down the other side of the floor, I arrived at my gate. Good thing I had a layover. Food choices are not tempting. Not fresh, not tempting, great for traveling in a diet. Almost every USB port was broken in the S gates. There are outlets as well, which I didn't try, as I did not have my cube with me. read more

6/28/19 Seattle Washington, Here we are. We have a five hour wait for the rest of our crew to arrive. So we dicided to relax and take the Airport in. For the first time I saw a police officer with her partner sniffing for bombs at this airport. People were watching this officer dog, but the bomb sniffing dog was not there to be patted. She or he was on the job. I would have liked to have seen more of the airport, but we had to get our luggage and once you walk through the silver doors, you can't go back. If you do, there is a $5,000 dollar fine. It is an expensive way of getting a Sbarro pizza. I remember there was a time you were able to rent vicheles at this airport. Sadly that time has changed. You are now have to go down the road to rent vicheles. There is a bright side to this though. You can hope on a bus and it will take you to vichele rentals for free. More to come... read more

There's two general lines for AMC airlines; one for families of 3+ (including pets I believe) and the other for unaccompanied. The general line is located to the left of Eva Airlines/Hawaiian airlines-right by the escalators whereas the family is around the corner next to the flight information monitors. Our flight was at 0430, but check in starts at 0130. We arrived at 2200 and it started filling up around midnight and got REAL bad by 0030-1330. It seems like seats are selected at random. We got seats in the 27th row; waiting at the head of the line. A family behind us got row 10. From the start, 'Paul' paced around with his Koolaid in his shaker bottle like a peacock and had a condescending demeanor about him when he went over our passports, ID and paperwork. When 1:30am rolled around, he gave us a hard time checking in our luggage and carry ons. Put the carry ons on the scale, then remove them and put on the check in baggage. I asked if he still had my wife's ID and without replying he just lazily retrieved it and waved it in our faces. Get this guy off his high horse. Kudos goes to the lady who was kind enough to show us the different lines at the very beginning though, she was helpful in pointing us out what was needed. read more

Hmmm... Our flight was late getting in and it was around midnight. You can't expect much to be open but out in the terminal there was one or two places. However, there wasn't a sign stating that once you leave the terminal there really won't be anyplace to get food while at the airport. Again, somewhat understandable. I have realized that in the last ten years the idea of airports that offer something that is 24/7 or close to that have dwindled down (TPA included). It was easy enough figuring out where to go when we landed. Access signs for the Link Light Rail, hotel transport, busses, and the like are frequent! When we left Seattle and headed back home TSA Security was quite smooth (we were there extra early which likely helped). Overall, it is a nice airport. read more

The only nod to the pandemic was a few arrows on the entries to the restrooms. D concourse was a mess with people bumping into each other - little to no social distancing and the worthless PA system. The boarding lines extend into the main hallway where people have to squeeze through it going in both directions. There is NO traffic pattern delineated. A good third of the people I saw had masks below their noses or nothing more than a bandana. People pushing to get ahead and no supervision or direction. Who is milking all the tax money out of this project? It has been under construction for 25 years - maybe the worst airport in the country? It is clearly the reason that the virus is spreading in Alaska - where else could the infections come from? Shame on Washington! read more

Godforsaken. The map on their website show restaurants that are closed. The ones that are open are not helpful at all. They have a "food" court that anyone over 30 will have trouble negotiating how to buy anything. ladro was closed but no indication of that. If you are here for 2 hours you'll be wishing you went to LAX instead! read more

This AMC terminal is located at the left side of the airport just past Hawaiian Airlines. The staff was friendly, helpful, and seemed to know what was going on. We arrived 30 minutes before check-in started and were at the end of a two hour line! From what the staff had stated, a lot of folks had started to get in line over four hours before check-in. So...if getting a window seat or exit row is that important to you, get there super early. We had people show up an hour or so after us and they waited in line for a lot less time. We decided to go back to the hotel after checking in and were advised that going through security would take an hour. Once we came back to the airport, it took about 40 minutes to make it through security and to the terminal. The one thing that would be helpful is to have PreCheck on the boarding passes, it would have shaved off 30 minutes of standing in the security line. There is a USO that a lot of folks took advantage of and seemed to have enjoyed. All told, not a bad experience like some of the east coast terminals... read more
