Had an unusual (for us) situation occur, so instead of putting it on reddit, documenting it here. My wife and I regularly fly Delta roundtrip from LAX to SEA to visit our daughter/son-in-law, so probably have flown this flight leg over 10 times in the past 3 years or so. We were heading back on a 17:30 flight, but needed to check out of our airbnb by 11, so ended up at the airport quite early (like more than 5 hours early). Delta allows one to check their bags up to 6 hours earlier than departure time, and since we now had wine that we needed to bring back, needed to check two bags. Everything went fine, and the agent gave us the receipts. Later I noticed that the our flight number was not on the tags, but the notifications on the Delta App said it was checked in for the right flight. I then got a notification 45 minutes later stating that our bags were now on the plane. My first (incorrect) thought was, "Wow, our plane got here real early.". But then I realized that it was a different flight number, and they were going to send the bags on a much earlier flight. Since I had time before my flight (and I don't mind walking), decided to see if I could get some help to get the bag pulled as soon it entered the carousel at LAX (vs having it spin around for 1 hour before being picked up). I figured I would get some help since the situation was caused by somebody at Delta doing something incorrect, in the first place. Initially went to the Delta Lounge to see if the service agent inside could help me. Since I was still well outside the 3 hour access period, was told (nicely) by the entry agent to go to Concourse B to get help from an agent. Once I got there, noticed there were two agents on duty with no queue. Karen pleasantly asked me how she could help, and then proceeded to do the opposite. Once I explained my problem, her response was 'it happens sometimes', and that unclaimed bags would be picked up for storage and I could pick it up later at the office. I told her that I didn't like it being unattended where anybody could just pick it up and go, and instead if Delta baggage from LAX could grab it as soon as it came out (I know this is possible). She sighed and then started to type away for 5 minutes, mumbling that she would look for the phone number for the LAX baggage office. I wasn't sure if she was going to just give me the number for me to call, or she would do it herself...but it never got that far. She just said that her computer wasn't cooperating, and that I could use the bank of landline phones to call Delta customer service to get the number. The bad part of me wanted to tell the next person in line, 'she won't be much help' while pointing to Karen and walking away, but thought better of it. I then walked back to the Delta lounge, told the entry agent that Karen wasn't very helpful, and asked nicely if I could talk to an agent in the lounge. She agreed (but warned me that I needed to leave as soon as I was done) and directed me to Susan. I explained my problem, and she proceeded to confidently tell me that I could pick up my bags at the LAX baggage office. After two iterations of this, I told her that 'she wasn't listening to me'...which finally got her attention. I requested if she could call the LAX office, and she said that she could try, but often times, they don't pick up the phone. And she told me if the baggage was stolen, I could always file a claim. I still asked her to try to call, and she said she would. When it became clear that she wouldn't do it at that moment, there was nothing more for me to do but to leave. I did later get a notification on the Delta App that my bags had arrived at the carousel, being one of the first bags out. It was then a full 90 minutes later when I got a notification saying that it had been picked up by the Delta baggage office...so thinking there was no call. As we were boarding our flight, got an email saying that our baggage needed to be picked up at the baggage office, since it had arrived early. When we got to LAX (almost 2 hours late because of delays), the bags were waiting for us just like Delta said it would. Learned (again) that sometimes trying to be proactive about solving a possible edge-case problem, requires the people who can help to agree that 1) it's a problem and 2) they should spend the effort to help the customer solve it. On this day, the LAX/SEA Delta employees and I didn't agree on either.

We've always loved flying with Delta, but this experience really reminded us why they're our go to airline. A few days ago, after everyone had already boarded the plane, we were asked to deboard due to some confusion surrounding a pilot delay. Unfortunately, it would've put us over an hour behind and risked us missing our connecting flight. Stressful to say the least. Thankfully, one of the Delta attendants immediately jumped into action. I wish I had caught her name because she was incredible. She was already helping rearrange flights for passengers and within just a few minutes of speaking with her, she managed to get us on a direct flight to our destination instead! Not only did it save our trip, but it actually gave us extra time to relax and enjoy breakfast at the Delta lounge. A perfect example of the "burnt toast theory", sometimes an inconvenience ends up working out even better in the end. Amazing customer service and such a kind, efficient employee. Thank you, Delta!

Business class. Extra leg room and free drinks!

Delta is one of my favorite airlines. Alaska is slowly ruining their customer service and benefits. Delta comfort + and first class is the way to go, leg room and drinks. Love the sky lounge access before a flight too.

How can you not like Delta? With over a 100 years of flying, Delta has come a long way and leaving the other airlines behind. First class to delta comfort is the way to travel. Still have monitors so you're not wasting your cell phone battery or downloading movies before you fly like some other airlines. Booking is easy and they always have an upgrade option at lower prices (if you time it right). Great customer service and flights always land on time and even earlier. If there's a Delta flight to your destination, BOOK IT!! AA or United is on my do not fly list as Delta leads in the best airline.....but who is number one? Stand-by for more reviews.

DELTA AIRLINES @ SEA TAC AIRPORT Delta is my top tier favorite airline. The staff is ALWAYS friendly on board, and I really enjoy tracking my flight easily, and Delta has a great partnership with T-Mobile, which allows me free wifi! Pretty awesome. It can get crowded at the gate, however, it's still easy to snatch a spot at another gate close by. The bathrooms are near, and it's very easy to follow through. I really enjoy using Delta, and i'm not even a sky member haha! Would recommend!

This review for Delta Air Lines is based on our latest flights into and out Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Delta is our preferred airline. In recent years, it's consistently proven to be the best in terms of on-time departures and arrivals, comfort and amenities, and customer service. Our flights to and from Seattle were no exception. To Seattle, we flew from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), non-stop, on an Airbus A321neo. The total travel time estimate, gate to gate, according to the Delta app was 5 hours 26 minutes. Actual time was 5 hours 30 minutes. My wife and I boarded in Zone 5 of 8 and sat in Seats 29E and F (Main Cabin). The flight cost $263.48 per person and was booked 35 days in advance. The total cost for this leg was $526.96 for the two of us. From Seattle, we flew to San Francisco International Airport (SFO), non-stop, on an Embraer 175. The total travel time estimate, gate to gate, according to the Delta app was 2 hours 16 minutes. Actual time was 1 hour 56 minutes. My wife and I boarded in Zone 5 of 8 and sat in Seats 15C and D (Main Cabin). The flight cost $208.47 per person and was booked 36 days in advance. The total cost for this leg was $416.94 for the two of us. For each trip, the times above include taxi time at both airports. Both flights were clean and comfortable with good service. They were everything we've come to expect from Delta. We enjoyed all the complimentary snacks including the popular and classic Lotus Biscoff cookies, 88 Acres Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Seed and Oat Bars ("granola bars"), Nuts.com Roasted Almonds (lightly salted), and the too-tiny bags of Garden Salsa SunChips. One flight attendants gave me double snacks while another offered me more than one kind of snack (e.g., cookies *and* chips). In general, lately, I've been getting the almonds more than anything else. As good as they are, I got tired of the Biscoff cookies. Drink-wise, my wife and I have been favoring the Mr & Mrs T Bloody Mary Mix. It's delicious. I've also been getting the Fever-Tree Club Soda and tried Seagram's Ginger Ale mixed with Cranberry Juice on the ATL to SEA flight (after seeing another passenger get it). The flight attendant who served the mixed drink wanted me to let her know how it was - it was yummy. My wife and I have gotten spoiled by Delta Studio, the in-flight entertainment with seatback screens. Our short flight from SEA to SFO on the E-175 didn't have seatback screens, but it did have free Wi-Fi (both flights had free Wi-Fi "presented" by T-Mobile). The Wi-Fi was sometimes spotty, with service going in and out, and slow; for example, it might take several seconds for an Instagram Reel or Story video to load. However, for the most part, the Wi-Fi was usable and I was happy to have it. Also, these flights were the first time I noticed that I can now send SMS texts while in the air. Previously, I could only send messages through Google Chat, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp. In-flight SMS texting is a nice addition.

2 people working and 40 people in line to check in..half of us missed the flight due to standing in line for 90 minutes.

Whatever you do, think twice about traveling thru Seattle if you are booked with Delta Airlines. I've never seen such disorganized chaos..Arrived at 5am for a 7:10 flight to San Diego and missed the flight..upon arrival there was well over 40 people in line and this was directly due to Delta having 2 people working to check individuals in. At 5am, there needs to be more than 2 people working! Overall it just seems there are very limited flights to destinations such as Southern California and other parts of the country, as all you hear throughout Delta's terminal is "we have a full flight and apologize for the delay"...seems like there is an issue with the planning and Operations of their flights out of SeaTac...just not enough available aircraft, pilots, or a need to reevaluate their flight schedules.

Has anyone flown with a pup on delta? Traveling in a couple weeks with a 10 month old yorkie, he will be under the seat in a soft crate. Any tips on how to get through TSA? We are bringing his puppy stroller as well. Thank you!?

We flew on miles and upgraded our seats to first class with cash. As a whole the flight was good and because we didn't have checked luggage, it was a breeze for us. Below is where the star rating was up and down. Customer Service via Phone or Chat: 2.5 Stars - needs major improvement. However, contacting customer service via phone can be frustrating due to long wait times or returning a call back. Also, I tried to communicate via their chat portal and if you don't answer within a timely manner (2 minutes), the AI Or person will disconnect with you. This happened on two occasions when I was trying to change flight date. I finally gave up. Flight - ATL -SEA 3.25 Stars The flight crew were pleasant and professional. However, AK has forgo the water at the seat in First class. We had to wait until most of the passengers were seated before we receive a cup of water. Our flight attendant was friendly, had a wonderful smile and professional but there were times, she waited a lot longer to pickup the finished drinks or meals. She seemed preoccupied with other duties. We weren't the only one that she forgot to bring drinks or pickup the dishes. Food: 3 Stars Breakfast was presented nicely and looked good. But the breakfast meal I had was ok. Though the meal was hot and it looked good, the ham was too salty and the potatoes had a little bit more Rosemary that I am use too. Coffee was so-so, so I requested my go-to drink of Cranberry juice. The other breakfast dish we had was the fruit and cheese tray. It tasted better than my egg, ham, potatoes dish. Both dishes were accompanied by fresh fruit and yogurt. SEA - ANC Food - 3.25 stars AK airlines famous cheese burger. The burger was good but nothing to write home about. Or am I? Served w chips, humid and veggies and chocolate cake. The humus was flavorful and hint of spicy to it. Cake was moist and had a deep chocolate flavor. To kick it up a notch, spread the humus to the burger instead of mayo or mustard. It made the burger more delicious! AK Airlines doesn't have IFE, but you could watch or text with their free WiFi. Also, there is $8 option. If you have a T-Mobile account then it is free. We flew on a 737-900 series. The first class seats were large and comfortable. After arrival to Seattle airport, we stopped by to talk w customer service agent. Cynthia (4 Stars) assisted us to see if we could change an our flight to ANC for an earlier flight. We had a 8 1/2 hour layover and we noticed there was an earlier flight. We were willing to seat in Premier or Coach instead of First Class. She contacted customer service phone line to get assistance. She thought because of our First Class seats, we would be able to chance the class seat but the person told her due we would have to exchange our first class for another set of first class seats on a different flight. The person couldn't downgrade us to a different class seat selection. Weird! She was surprised herself. We thanked for her assistance. So, I struck out on changing my flights (phone, chat, and physical person). So this where the overall rating is lower than expected. Addendum from SEA - ANC Our first class flight attendant was wonderful. Positive, lots of energy, professional and was very pleasant to talk to. Greeted us when we walked in, had our pre-departure drink within 10 minutes of be seated and had our preorder meals within the hour of the flight. She was delightful. Though the 737-9Max wasn't as clean as it should be. I brush off some crumbs from my seat and there were a couple of coffee stirrers on the floor near our seats. The first class seats are modern but not as cushy as the older seats in the 737-900 series plane. So, would I use them again? Probably, but strictly use mile or pay cash. I think using miles and cash made our flights more difficult to change.

They put me on an itinerary that had zero chance of working. I landed in Seattle at 1:40 p.m. with a connecting flight that boarded at 2:20 -- only 40 minutes to clear customs, get through passport control, reclaim my bag, recheck it, and switch terminals at an already chaotic airport. Predictably, it was impossible. Customs and baggage alone took two and a half hours. I missed the first connection, got rebooked on a 4 p.m. flight, and still hadn't cleared customs by then so I missed that one too. When I finally got through and called customer service, the agent sounded completely checked out -- bored, uninterested, and like she couldn't care less about helping me. She rebooked me again. I specifically asked for any seat that wasn't a middle. When I boarded, the plane had plenty of open seats... and of course I was stuck in row 30, seat E -- middle seat. On top of everything, their first class is a rip-off. It's expensive, the seats barely recline, and it's hardly better than coach. I used to fly Alaska regularly on trips to Oregon. After this mess I would rather drive from LA than ever book them again. Customer service is abysmal, their scheduling is reckless, and the whole experience felt like they just don't care. Do yourself a favor and fly someone else.

You MAY be asked to prove that your hand luggage fits in their size bins (there were two next to my gate with stern warnings, so you can try in advance). You CAN pay through the app in the airport if you need to convert your personal item into a carry-on but that will eat some of the savings. The seats do not tilt; because of that the seating area is actually wider and pant size 42 man comfortably fits with no intrusion to the neighboring space. IMHO 44 should fit too. Your flight crew WILL be nice and bottomless tea or coffee will be 4 bucks. The lavatory is, probably, not cleaned between the flights. I was first and the seat was already "sprinkled" and one of two rolls of toilet paper was already down to the bare core. Short delays are very common with Frontier (at least on LAX-SEA they are) but usually they recover most of it through the flight. My flight left 20 minutes late but arrived on-time. If you fly with just the "personal item" AKA small backpack 18x14x8", accept the toilet situation (I am not saying that they never clean, only that on my flight it was not - for sure), and OK with the need to walk / take a free shuttle from the gate to the airplane, you will save 35%. If you have carry on, you will save ~15%, and if you are flexible with your travel dates, you will fly half-price comparing to the major airlines. The caveat is the usual - no changes and no upgrades of anything.

I flew from LAs Vegas to Seattle today on flight number 2407. The flight attendants were, by far,…read morethe most unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude attendants I have ever encountered. There was a woman and a man who were in the back of the plane where the restrooms are. Before the flight even took off, the woman said to her male coworker that "the higher ups" don't like her and that's why she's in the back. They then continued talking extremely loudly to the extent that I and several people seated near me thought the conversation was coming out of the overhead speakers. Their conversations consisted of a kind of flirty exchange where the woman was sharing her entire dating life, stories about being drunk and even saying that she has 6 months clean. They continued talking extremely loudly despite multiple passengers looking back and questioning how they could be so unaware. The plane was extremely quiet as many people were returning from Las Vegas so extremely tired and trying to nap. After about 45 minutes, I went to the bathroom near them and politely asked if they realized that the whole back half of the plane e could hear their entire conversation. The response was that this is how they keep themselves awake on the job and began laughing and exchanging undermining and outwardly rude glances. I went back to my seat and about 10 minutes later, a man who was two rows from the back of the plane stood up and asked something similar to the following...would you guys mind keeping it down? We have spent the entire time on this flight listening to your discussions about inappropriate subjects and we would appreciate it if you would remain professional and spare us the details of your personal lives. They laughed and did not respond at which point t he said, "no wonder the higher up's don't like you." They continued to converse loudly and snicker about the passengers requests. At one point a different flight attendant approached them and we thought she would be asking them to quiet down but within moments she was laughing and clearly not informing them that they were out of line. At this time, I was filming and attempting to Document the situation. The woman then approached my seat and demanded that I stop recording. She had a red card and said if I did not stop recording she would hand the red card and I would be met by the police upon landing. When I tried to explain the situation, she said that she was unaware of that and when I asked for a supervisor, she stated the there was no supervisor on board and reminded me that it is against privacy rules to Record anyone without their permission. Overall, this was the worst flight I have ever experienced. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was astounding. I will never fly with Frontier again.

This hotline is available 24 hours daily to assist with reservations, flight Changes, group booking, rebooking, Cancellations, refunds and all other Travel enquiries. ## *An Unexpected Change to My Travel Plans* This trip didn't exactly start the way I had planned. Due to heavy traffic on the way to the airport, I missed my original flight by just a few minutes. I was honestly expecting the situation to become much more stressful, but the airline staff at the service desk remained calm and guided me through the available options. After checking the next available flight, they helped me with the rebooking process much faster than I expected. Although waiting for another departure wasn't ideal, I appreciated how clearly everything was explained. I was kept informed about the new boarding time, and the entire process felt organized rather than chaotic. By the time I reached the gate for my new flight, I was much more relaxed. ## *A Pleasant Airport Experience Despite the Delay* Since I suddenly had extra time before departure, I walked around the terminal, grabbed lunch, and caught up on a few work emails. The boarding announcements were clear, and the gate staff handled the process efficiently once it was time to board. Passengers entered the aircraft in an orderly manner, and everything started on schedule. Even after the stressful beginning to the day, boarding felt calm and well managed, which immediately improved my mood. ## *Comfortable Flight with Helpful Crew* The aircraft was clean, and my aisle seat was comfortable enough for the journey. Shortly after takeoff, the cabin crew welcomed everyone and began serving refreshments. Throughout the flight they remained approachable and friendly, checking regularly to see if anyone needed assistance. The captain kept passengers informed about the route and expected arrival time, and the flight itself remained smooth from start to finish. By the end of the journey, I had almost forgotten how stressful the morning had been. ## *Excellent Service Left a Positive Impression* After landing, baggage delivery was quicker than expected, and I was able to leave the airport without any additional delays. While missing my original flight was completely my own fault, the airline handled the situation professionally and made the rest of the journey surprisingly easy. That experience showed me that good customer service isn't only about when everything goes perfectly--it's also about how problems are handled. Because of that, I'd happily choose this airline again.

I mean, at this point what can I really say about Spirit that we all don't already know?…read more I still say in certain situations; they can be a decent fit. Take our recent quick 2-day trip from LAS to SEA. Roundtrip tickets were barely over $100 per person round trip. Holy crap! Say what you want, but that is a real good price! Bag fees are tricky for me. If I have a short trip I don't need to pack a lot. No matter what you do, you do get a free personal item. That is really calling it too tight for comfort, IMO. So, for this last trip I did an upgrade on their website for $35 per way, per person ($140.00 total). My extra $140 got us assigned seating to sit next to my partner for both flights near the front of the plane for both legs. It also got both of us a free carry-on item each, both ways in addition to our personal item. More than enough for a 2-day trip! Considering the fact that, if you checked in a bag at the airport day of, it could cost you $65 per bag, per leg that feels like a great deal! I mean, even with the extra money my total ticket price is still under $200 each round trip. I can totally live with that! As for the flights themselves, it is still Spirit so keep your expectations reasonable (read:low). Both flights were delayed, but nothing too bad. Usual mix of some very nice employees and some mildly passive ones as well. Nothing too bad. Honestly, I can bitch all I want, but I know for the right price and a short enough trip I will use them again. 3 stars.

The airline is known for offering flights to the most destinations around the world. I flew on Turkish a few years ago from Seattle to Thessaloniki via Istanbul during spring break. For the most part, it was a good experience. The pluses are mostly with the in-flight experience. They use Dreamliner planes and serve tasty meals on all flights, including my short haul flights to and from Greece. The IFE system has extensive entertainment and they give all passengers an amenity bag on long haul flights. Lastly, the baggage allowance is generous as you can check in 2 bags. I do also want to bring up some items to consider booking on Turkish. My flight to Istanbul was nearly a hour late, but I still made my connection. Try not to book flights with short layovers. Also some of the connections have long layovers to destinations in the Middle East and Central Asia with flights arriving at odd hours. You may want to consider doing a stopover in Istanbul instead, which Turkish has a good program for. Lastly, gate security in Istanbul is extensive. So expect a thorough check of your carryon items before your flight. Overall, I enjoyed flying on Turkish. It is a well run airline with good fares to Europe and a great in-flight experience. However, you should consider travel time, especially layovers and the amount of backtracking needed to get to your destination when deciding whether to book.

Our layover was long enough to be able to get to our next gate, and yet short enough to feel like we weren't wasting time. The flight was frankly luxurious compared to other long international flights. There were always two options for the meals. My wife was able to get gluten-free meals. The help staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It may well have been the best long flight experience in my life.

Had amazing experience flying from Seattle to Helsinki to my home country Latvia with Finnair…read more Finnair expanded their flights and I was happy to see that I can fly trough Helsinki instead of Frankfurt to my home country out of Seattle because layover was shorter and it's also only 1 hour flight from Helsinki to Riga. Finnair partner up with British airways business lounge and it was very decent food and drinks (compare what I had with Lufthansa last year few celery sticks and a cookie). The lounge wasn't so big and one can hear some rude people speaking loud on their phones but it had a nice view of the runway. Our flight was on time and I was settling in my Business class seat after short boarding process. They welcomed me with the drink ( I choose their signature blueberry juice and Northern Blush cocktail -must try) and they also provide amenity kit (which was disappointing) It didn't had toothbrush or any socks, also their cream had very bad smell and texture. I hope they will improve that. The wireless phone charger didn't work for me because my phone has a case and it was not picking it up. Pillow blanket and pad were provided, also I noticed that I didn't got any slippers because when I was leaving the plane I saw many people had same slippers. Food was very good on the way there. I had for an appetizer crab meat with mayo mousse, caprese salad and nice piece of salmon with veggies. For dessert I had raspberry tart with tea. And plenty of blueberry juice- thats my favorite! (Unfortunately food on the way back wasn't great. They ran out of their signature drink Northern Blush at Helsinki which is Finnair hub!!! Smocked salmon on the way back was too salty and too smocked. Weird food options like shrimp quiche for breakfast or pork dinner which is not so appealing even to person that doesn't have any dietary restrictions. Both breakfast and dinner were bad, breakfast looked poor and tasted poor and dinner I couldn't even eat. Also why to serve cauliflower as a side on a long haul flights). Important to note seat doesn't recline but it lay flat! So you can't adjust it for a recliner like on other planes. Also belt is like in a car. But it didn't bothered me because I could adjust leg part of the seat but not the back. Entertainment was good and they had a lot of good new movies available. I wasn't bored at all! I watch Missis Harris goes to Paris (what an amazing inspirational movie) and The unbearable weight of massive talent. Bed was cozy and I had 4 h nap and woke up to breakfast. Hour and a half before landing in Helsinki they served us Breakfast which was very generous. It had cheese & ham, croissant, bread muffin, fruits, omelette, yogurt and mini jam. I was full and ready to spend 6 h layover at Helsinki! (Originally was 1h40m but then they changed it) Enjoyed my flight and definetely will consider again. Hopefully they will keep their good pricing compare to Swiss and Lufthansa!

I was a bit skeptical at first as I had originally booked with British Air, only to find out that the flights were operated by Finnair. Thankfully, there was clear communication regarding flight details once booked. Onboard, the cabin crew were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring all passengers were comfortable. The meals served were well proportioned for "airline food." You must try their signature blueberry juice! There was a slight delay departing Seattle, but I had no issues with my connecting flight in Helsinki. All of my other flights took off on time, and we arrived a few minutes early each time. The only drawback is with luggage. My particular ticket was for carry-on luggage only. Finnair has a max combined weight of 8kg (~17.5 lbs), which can be difficult to meet with most suitcases. I used a light-weight travel backpack and just barely made the cutoff. Overall, Finnair exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them for anyone traveling from Seattle, WA to Vilnius, Lithuania. I will be flying with Finnair again!
